I picked out a pretty little floral dress that fit perfectly, and only $22! Open 7 days a week until 6pm. There are a couple curtain dressing rooms and you can try anything on. The owner is very welcoming and sweet. I asked her if there was a Yelp page, and her response was hilarious...that she's old & doesn't social media. So I told her I would start one up for her business. I will definitely be coming back to check out her new items next time I'm back in the downtown Manhattan Beach area.

Customer service: There is always someone to welcome you at the front door. Though at this location I've found that employees won't interact unless you have questions or go up to them first. They are always friendly and knowledgeable when you do. The merchandise: Products are usually in great shape. A couple times I've noticed treads pulled or makeup on collars from other people trying the clothes on. Other than that, is location is very well stocked in a variety of sizes and designs. Parking: Covered parking and open parking lots are close by and usually a quick walk to the store front. Location: In the Manhattan Village, on the south corner of the building, across the street from a covered parking garage. Overall: Personally this location is an average experience, I've never had a bad experience but also never one that will specifically bring me back to this location or have me raving to my friends about. Regardless, I keep trying to shop there but today takes the cake. I tried on a black sweater and it was too big so i hung it back up and started walking out of the store. As I'm almost at the door one of the employees is chasing after me yelling repeatedly "did you hang it up where you got it from?". I have no idea why she would find the need to chase me down and yell that, making every patron look at us. Did she think I was stealing a $700 sweater? I have no idea but it was truly a very strange interaction. And if you were wondering YES, I did hang it up exactly where I got it from (which isn't even my responsibility considering I don't work there). Stay away from this store unless you want to get harassed by middle age women who are clearly very miserable with their lives.

Honestly, I was fully expecting to arrive to a full Nordstrom department store but as I was getting closer and closer, I realized that couldn't be the case. Alas, Norstrorm Local - a storefront where you can pick up and return Nordstrom orders as well as get alterations. As long as you know going into it that this is what it is - it's fantastic and super convenient. My lower-than-normal three star rating stems from the less than friendly staff. Sure, I was absolutely grateful they accepted my return but wish the customer service was a little bit better, especially because I had already started the return and had a barcode for the employee to scan (they were not interested). Oh well. I'm sure I'll find myself here again in the future, hopefully next time the employees will join me in having a smile on their faces.
