There was a huge sidewalk sale happening last weekend in Manhattan Beach by the pier where all the shops are. I walked around and checked out a lot of stores. Splendid had the best sale. They had items starting from $19 to $39 and one area with new inventory was 25% off. So many cute clothes. The quality is good and with these prices I was able to get a few tops and one pair of pants. Regular prices would have cost me over $500 but I paid $235 really good sale. Customer service was friendly and helpful. I had a great time shopping here. read more

Fantastic clothing store along the main drag in Manhattan Beach. The stuff ain't cheap but relative to the other stores in that area, it's moderately priced clothing. They definitely promote their green and sustainable cred..which all sounds great. The staff is super helpful and friendly...very engaged and suggestive of styling options. They are also dog friendly! The clothes are very well made and designed. Great fabrics and lots of sizes. Unlike many stores, they have plenty of stock on hand . We doing a very cool workout outfit as well as a. We bought an item from their website that didn't fit so we thought we'd return or exchange at store. Today, 1/12/25, we get there at noon and no one on sales floor and finally an older woman comes from back with a mouth full of food, very professional. We tell her the situation and she says they can't help with online purchases at store level. A few thoughts, is the company this stupid and lacking customer service or was this woman just lazy? Either way it left us both very frustrated and annoyed. Obviously this will be our last experience with a company that is anything but Splendid. read more

Staff is friendly and their cotton is super soft. They have good sales and some really cute shoe options. Their quality is not always the best, their seams fall apart rather quickly but if you get a good sale deal it's worth it. read more

Shopping in this boutique was truly a pleasant experience. Bianca, the store manager knew exactly what i wanted and picked styles that fit my body type. Fell in love with a cardigan and they didn't have my size. She checked other locations and found it, ordered it to be shipped directly to my home! Love the clean and organization of the store. The clothes at Splendid are lovely and so wonderfully soft but alas, the staff is not. They did not acknowledge my husband and I as we entered and then as we were in mid discussion did not ask how we were doing or commenting on the piece but "Do you want a fitting room?" Repeat several times. Then my husband declared we were purchasing gifts and she walked away. After deciding to purchase two items, if you know splendid you know that means at least $200, the staff spent 15 minutes carefully folding, chatting and working with the two women ahead of us. Then my turn, my purchases at wadded not folded yet wrapped in their tissue with their splat logo. I had mentioned again they were gifts, still did not care to show off their product with a lovely presentation. And no one was in line behind me so they did not have to rush. Sloppy service! I would rather go to Nordstrom for their line and be treated well . read more

I shopped here in May and bought 2 shirts at 20% off with a sale they were having. I was in a hurry, and the team was very helpful in bringing me sizes and recommending different styles. The girls working were also friendly, and turns out, they are friendly over the phone, as well. After washing one of the shirts, it got a hole in the front. I contacted the store, and they sent me a shipping label for the shirt and then sent me a new shirt free of charge. I was very pleased with their customer service. read more

This Splendid location went above and beyond to create an excellent shopping experience today. Celine was extremely accommodating, finding sizes and colors in the back room and even pulled out some new arrivals to show me before they've made it to the floor. I think the best part of the experience was her quick willingness to honor online pricing as it was less than some in-store pricing. I figured I'd end up having to order it online, but Celine was happy to adjust. This level of service is why I will continue to shop this location! read more

This place is absolutely a downfall, they hire under age without checking with corporate and don't know how to run a business correctly, then they have to terminate their employees unexpectedly because they did THEIR job wrong. Steph the "manager" always has an attitude and no experience in training her employees correctly, probably why this place is always empty and failing on making sales. I wouldn't recommend going here for you're needs, because the staff has no idea what they're doing. I WOULD recommend going next door to Turks though, they care about the customers and about running their business correctly. Splendid isn't all that splendid after all. read more

My complaint is with Splendid corporate. They don't have a phone number, no one is at customer service, they don't answer the form you can send in with an inquiry. They are rated F (the worst rating) on the Better Business Bureau site. Good luck if you have a problem, want to do a return or get a refund for defective merchandise. You'll need it - well, really a miracle as you'll never reach anyone to help. read more

The store is unbelievable. The minute I walked in the sales clerk did not even acknowledge me and they were talking amongst themselves. I wish their manager were here to see that because it's so unprofessional. Never coming here again. Finally asked the girl I usually shop withs name. Her name is Megan and she is a GOD SEND. The sweetest girl who knows her stuff. I have a pretty curvy body and she knew exactly what would accentuate it without compromising my style and taste. She pushes me out of my comfort zone and has me try on things I would not normally try on and guess what! I love them every single time! There was another girl, tall with brown hair who I think is Emily? Emma? I'll ask next time but she is so sweet too. I'm hoping corporate sees this as consumers don't need to shop at stores where the staff is oozing attitude like this place. I've lived in Manhattan Beach for 2 years and every time I walk by this store its empty. After my experience I understand why. I came in 2 weeks ago, for the 1st time, and had a fine experience purchasing approximately $400 worth of items, two items I totally love. The third item I decided I didn't need so I brought it back to return. The woman I encountered was blatantly annoyed by this and had such attitude it was actually displayed on her face. She then asked me twice why I'm returning. In the world of consumerism, interactions like this work for me so I wont ever go back. I walked in having no intentions of actually buying anything ( I didn't think Splendid was my style) aka doing some window shopping. I received assistance from Shaun, he had the best customer service and was really patient with me . I told him I was just browsing and he showed me a few cute styles but didn't pressure me to buy. Conversation was casual and fun yet professional felt I had a personal shopper which was so cool! I ended up purchasing everything he showed me.
