Horrible experience. I ordered an item online that I didn't care for. The website glitched and would not offer me a return. Long story short and MANY emails I finally got the approval to return. Then come to find out I was charged an $8 restocking fee!!!! For what??? Had to send multiple emails AGAIN. This company is the worst. I spent probably a half of a work day when I add up all the time I spent on returning 1 bag. Do not buy online if you think you might return. Even received an email and text confirmation, however, when I showed up they looked at me with bewilderment and said there are no such things as appointments. They were still able to help me and were kind about it, but wish they were a bit more knowledgeable about their own processes and what's listed on their site. read more

My first encounter with this place was back in 2017 summer when I was just visiting Venice and came across the store. The staff warmly welcomed me even if I did not purchase anything at that time as their bags would not fit into my luggage. Now as a neighbor, I love visiting the store and use their leather bags every weekend. Very satisfied with its leather quality. Just purchased another leather items for our upcoming abroad trip. Rude and condescending staff AND bad quality bags. Bought a tote a few months ago and all the edge paint has already started cracking and peeling. The prices are too good to be true, cheap=cheap quality. I first called customer service to see what can be done and the girl who answered tried to tell me that it was normal wear and tear and it wasn't covered by the warranty. I asked "how can a bag that is coming apart in a few months be considered normal wear and tear?" She then told me to take it to the store and they can decide after seeing my bag. So I took it in today and met the most condescending sales person ever! Seems like Cuyana staff members hate their jobs and can't be bothered. I was told that the bag would be sent in and I would have to wait three weeks to get an answer of what they would do. Seems like a long time to just make a decision... Since I'm handing over my bag I asked if I can get something like a receipt, reference number or email confirmation regarding my bag and was told "We don't do that" I asked "so you don't give me anything to refer back to this transaction?" To which she replied " Don't worry, I'm not going to just keep your bag in the back and not give it back to you." I was so dumbfounded that I was left speechless and of course also left with no paperwork or email in exchange for dropping off my low quality damaged bag. NEVER will I be buying ANYTHING from Cuyana and NEVER will I recommend it to anyone. read more

The people at this store are so nice! I came to this location on Black Friday weekend to get my tote re-monogrammed since the letters had rubbed off since I'm pretty rough with my bag and use it every day (the rest of the bag has held up great) The main person who monograms at the store, Alfredo, said the turnaround time for a busy season like this could be about 2 days, so I dropped the bag off. To my surprise he, called me an hour later that he actually squeezed it in and my bag was ready to be picked up! The monogram looks even crisper than the first stamping and i feel like i have a brand new bag And the re-stamping was free too! read more

Purchased a small leather handbag about 6 months ago. The sales associate gave me the floor model, which was annoying but I looked it over and it didn't appear damaged at all. Fast forward until now and it's already scuffed and the stitches are coming loose. I've worn it maybe 5 times for max 2 hours. I was home for Xmas break looking for a very specific item for my mom (the monogrammable pink marbled leather laptop case with zip pocket and gold hardware) which unfortunately has been discontinued. I didn't catch her name, but there is a super sweetie employee who walked me through the Cuyana Revive site while we chatted fine leather goods. She was a brunette and had fabulous taste in purses. Then I looked around at their clothing line, which is amazing. -Alfredo helped me pick out a slip dress/ sweater set that I looked and felt good in. Their leather goods are excellent and their staff at this Abbot Kinney store have always been wonderful and extra helpful. I just purchased a couple of dresses from their summer collection and I love their fit. So soft and elegant. I hope they release shoes and a sustainable collection as well. The style is super amazing and the price was good so I bought the Panama hat and not two weeks later the top of the hat split so I went back and they laughed and told me to put nail polish on it and I shouldn't be touching that part of the hat. How rude. Anyway it continues to erode, unwind, and degrade. Buy a hat somewhere else unless you don't care about quality or customer service. read more

Probably the worst customer service I've experienced in a retail store. I've gone a couple of times, and every time it's the same service; non existent. This time I waited in the front for a couple of minutes, I knew what I wanted since the beginning so I didn't mind waiting, I came to exchange a bag for a different color for my mom. I was the only customer in the store and this lady with long blonde hair just sat in the back knowing I was waiting. I politely said " sorry to bother" and she replied with " oh you're returning" without even glancing at me. She knew I was there the whole time but didn't even bother to help me out or ask if I needed help. She had a terrible attitude so I just returned it and left without anything. We all have bad days I get it but this is the third time. read more

Love this place!!! The quality of their purses is amazing!! If I could I would buy one of each color! My favorite are there totes. Keep in mind that at the store the have more colors than what the website states. Their staff was extremely helpful and kind. Cuyana's line of leather bags comes in beautiful colors although I opted for the more traditional caramel. I did purchased a cobalt blue leather pouch online to add some color to my bags. Thought bags were decently priced at $150 for the classic leather tote. Monogramming was an additional $10 and they monogram right in the store. read more

The girl there helped me out and pointed out a bunch of great items my gf ended up loving. Don't remember her name, but want to say it was Hannah or Hayley. She was a huge help. I've had it in the same punctured hole since I purchased it, but recently it has stretched to the point where my purse has literally fallen off my shoulder on several occasions. I absolutely love my structured tote in every way! I purchased a few linen tops last year online that I basically wore all last summer, but this was my first time in the store. I had my 2 year old and 4 year old with me, and the ladies in the store couldn't have been more welcoming, which in a boutique such as this is saying A LOT! I love the functionality of the bag as well as the look. With 3 small children, I'm transitioning out of needing a diaper bag, but still need something large enough to carry everything. This bag checks the boxes. What I love so much about my tote and my two linen tops is that they are beautifully crafted, timeless pieces I can wear forever. Not only because the style is timeless, but the quality and craftsmanship is top notch as well. The addition of the gold foil initials gives it the perfect personalization while still remaining a total classic. It is the perfect balance for me. But moreover, Cuyana is the first brand where I love and covet the pieces because I chose to, not society telling me that this is the bag I should want. When I was in your store, I saw the motto about having fewer, better things and it really struck a chord with me. Terrible customer service and products.  Received a gift from here and went to exchange it.  I told them multiple times I didn't want the person who I received the gift from to find out.  They assured me they would not.  I said I didn't want to exchange the gift if they did.  Sure enough, the person I received the gift from got an email notifying them and asked me if I exchanged their gift.  Everything in the store is a step above Forever 21 for really expensive prices.  I could understand if the quality or style was good, but I'm not sure what they're charging for. read more

I love Cuyana products and have bought several bags from them. However when I went to the store yesterday I experienced some frustrating and disappointing customer service. I spent about an hour looking at bags and wallets and, after speaking with a sales associate, finally settled on a new wallet to purchase. I left it at the store for about 35 minutes to be monogrammed, and when I returned they informed me they had noticed the leather was in bad condition and didn't want to sell me the wallet. I waited another 15 minutes while they checked their SF store for the same wallet to have shipped to me, since they had no more in the Abbot Kinney store, only to be told that it was out of stock and they would have to refund my purchase. At this point I had been either in the store or waiting on my purchase for an hour and a half, only to be told I would have to be refunded for the purchase. I wasn't even told definitively when the wallet would be back in stock. I would have appreciated if any issues with the item were flagged to me before I spent a decent amount of time discussing its pros and cons, getting excited about the purchase and swiping my card, and sitting around waiting for it to be monogrammed. I'm disappointed because I love this store, but will likely look elsewhere for my next purchase. read more

A treasure! First of all, the price/quality is amazing. Bags seem to either be somewhat mass looking/feeling at this price point and not always great quality OR priced upwards of $1-2K. If you appreciate having nice things and good value, this is it! I chose a Cuyana bag for my birthday gift; my husband and I went into the Venice shop and picked it out and had it monogrammed (fun, since we are still sort of newlyweds). The staff was so nice, the service was great and it really felt like approachable luxury. I will be back for more gifts for myself and for others! This shop is so gorgeous! I'd been eyeing a bag online and finally stopped by to see it in person, and ended up getting it. They only have a couple of locations and this is the only one in LA. I ordered $500 worth of product from here. This company has beautiful branding and I love their mantra of less is more. I purchased two wallets, a card pouch and a white purse. I was blown away by the lack of quality. I was so stunned that I showed the items to a few others to gain their perspective and they all agreed. For the prices they charge, they should be providing better products. Returned everything except for the card pouch. Customer service was very helpful. The exact same thing that happened to Alicia happened to me!!!!!!! We have several Cuyana items, and they asked me to fill out the survey . which I did. They said I would get a T-shirt. When It was unavailable they gave me a $40 credit that was good till December 31. When I went to use it, they told me that they had changed the date on it and it expired soon after they sent it to me. This is a very shady business practice. I was about to buy a couple of other bags from Cuyana. I won't be buying from them again. They obviously can't be trusted to stand behind their products. read more

I ordered my first bag/tote online and fell in love. I visited the store in Venice beach and purchased another bag in a different color and brought my daughter. I got her the small cross body bag (monogrammed) and she is hooked. She has since brought a friend to shop and they each bought a tote. I am going to order the new black pants.
