The sales people at the Nati Boutique in Newport Beach were great. Unfortunately, the pants I bought disintegrated after ONE wash. There was no care instruction tag on the pants. I washed the pants on cold in a front loading washer, and put in the dryer on the sensor setting (meaning it stops drying when the pants are dry). When I emailed customer service about my experience, they said they would not give a refund or credit because there was a care instruction label on the pants and it says no dryer. I turned the pants inside out and looked at all the seams and there was NO care instruction label. Very bad experience. I will not go back. read more

I normally don't leave reviews but as a brown woman I had the craziest experience with the redhead white employee at the store that I had to share. I went here and decided to try on a few things and ultimately decided to purchase a $75 cardigan. As I'm checking out, I tell my friend I'm happy about purchasing the cardigan since it's cold. The worker looks at me and says "just so you know it's 10 days exchange and store credit" to which I replied okay. And then she goes "But you said you were cold right?" I go, "Yeah." And she goes "so for you it'll be final sale" in the rudest tone while ripping the tag off and handing me the sweater without a receipt. She was clearly suggesting that I only was interested in the cardigan because I was cold and would try to exchange it later. (I had no intention of doing this, I was very excited about the purchase) I was so shocked. I don't understand how one overhears a conversation, and uses it against a purchasing customer in such a gross fashion. If she had just said "Just so you know items have to be unworn if they are exchanged," that would've been subtle and sufficient. She had to go out of her way to mention that she overheard my conversation with my friend, and rip the tag off and purposely giving me no receipt. Rude for absolutely no reason. The funny part is this store had a mural of AOC, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, etc. These fake girl boss stores are the worst and most ironic when employees will show such rancid attitude towards POC customers. read more

Visited Nati for the first time and immediately felt overwhelmed by the pushy sales associates. Every corner I turned, an associate would have a clothing item in their hand that they wanted me to try on. I think this happened more than 10 times? The same associate asked me to try on a pair on jeans twice even after I told her I'm only interested in finding a top. Each time I got out of the dressing room, an associate made sure to have 2-3 different items for me to try on. I tried on WAY more items that I wanted to. Even if the items are cute, I will NOT be returning due to my experience. Their strategy of being too pushy is actually doing the opposite by customers choosing not to return back to the store. Overall experience: disappointing. They drew me in with a super soft white hoodie that was on sale for $30 outside the store. I went in with my friend where we waited forever behind a customer who was picking out jewelry. I just wanted the sweater. I ended up buying an additional moderately overpriced shirt from the moderately pushy saleswoman. When I got home, I realized almost immediately that I shouldn't have gotten the second shirt. The problem? Returns are store credit only which is information I would have welcomed. I went back a week later (Nov 2020) and was told no exceptions. I just wanted my money back on an item I never even took out of the bag from the boutique. I emailed the address on their website and received a moderately fine response from Gila. And then I received an email from man that was accidentally sent to me on a "Reply All" thread in which he said, "She's nuts. BorderlinePD" give her the refund, move on, etc.... screen shots attached. Important piece of information: my friend who was with me both days went to bat for me on Instagram because she was not happy with how the process shook out. I'm slightly more circumvent in my approach, but just as aware that the experience was not entirely satisfactory. The mural in the store is lovely and apparently newly done. It features strong women leaders: Michelle Obama, RBG, Nancy Pelosi, AOC.... Gila stated in her email that they were a "proudly women owned and operated company". If you love women so much, why do you have somebody around you who is a name-calling bully and doesn't even care enough to double check who's on the email before assigning someone an unsubstantiated and debilitating mental illness diagnosis. Mental illness is a real problem in this country, but that's not the point here, is it. The point is: speak up when something's not right. This did NOT have to be a big issue. I was back exactly one week after to exchange or return a few of the items. The sales girl and owner Nati herself was not as sweet this time. It felt as if they saw me walk in with a bag to return and they were busy with other customers and didn't give me the time of day. I looked around to choose something else to exchange with but didn't see anything that I wanted. It felt uncomfortable standing near the register and not being taken care of by either of the three employees. I asked for a refund and was told there is NO REFUND only EXCHANGE ! I was told that they are not set up for that. I was handed a piece of paper with $271.00 in STORE CREDIT . And told. "don't lose it - we don't keep track of the refunds. " So all in all, cute store, cute clothing, had good customer service when I was buying close to $1000 worth of clothes But just know : there is NO REFUND - EXCHANGE only. read more

The clothes are cute and while the sales people are nice enough they're are so extremely pushy and they lie as well. They were constantly pushing clothes on who I was shopping with making her try on jeans even tho she didn't want to and constantly bringing more stuff over and being so aggressive about her trying it on. The jeans were cropped but she is tall and so they looked like they'd shrunken in the dryer and the girl says OMG I LOVE THEM THEY LOOK SO GOOD. umm no they look silly. Then when she tried jeans on with a raw edge and said I don't like the raw edge the sales associate kept pushing I LOVE THEM THEY LOOK SO GOOD WANNA TRY ANOTHER SIZE?! like no I said I don't like the raw edge ... keeps pushing saying but it looks good. It was so off putting and I saw them doing the same thing to the other woman in the next changing room over. I feel like this type of behavior is so off putting. There was stuff i wanted to try on but when I was how they were pouncing and shoving more items at everyone I decided otherwise. The manager gave the worst customer service of my life. I had received a gift with the receipt and was denied my complete return. The manager was annoyed that the employee had to ask for her help while she stood outside talking to a friend, then rude towards me and she went off into a tangent multiple times about boutique return etiquette. She was upset I had my return bag on the counter while I shopped. I felt so uncomfortable while I shopped in the store. Just want to state that NO WHERE on the gift receipt stated I only had a 10 day window to return it. The store stylist were great. I had a similarly bad experience in this store as some of the other reviews here. It's a relief to know I'm not the only one. I found the sales assistants quite pushy. Particularly so with the owner Nati. I bought a dress which was faulty and didn't notice at the point of sale, only after having worn it. Before returning to store I checked my photos and dates as of course I may have been the one who caused the damage but can see that the elastic on the sleeve was in fact faulty before I wore it. I am not from this country and I do appreciate that different countries have different policies, I was willing to accept there may not be a lot they would do however I did not expect such hostility from the owner - infront of a few people Nati tried to humiliate me by loudly announcing how smelly the dress was, I found this to be unprofessional, unnecessary and most importantly unkind. I had previously brought a jacket and I was highly pressured to do so, the e receipt does not state the store returns policy and I wasn't notified at the till as the assistants were busy pressuring me to buy other items, filling my dressing room with many items that I didn't ask for. I like to spend money in stores who's ethics I value. Both the quality of the clothes and the character of the people here are subpar. read more

Sales staff are incredibly agressive. I finally bought some linen shorts for my travels for $60 after tax. They fit perfectly and felt very chic. I I wore them four times in Europe and they split the crotch and were totally pilled. I had packed light and could no longer wear them. I responded to an email the store had sent after my purchase and they just said sorry. Really unacceptable poor quality and over priced. Usually takes a couple years in jeans or pants with a lot of wear for any pants crotch to split. 4 wears is ridiculous. I've had better quality at H&M, Forever 21 and Target. Be warned! read more

Least expensive Nati with reasonably priced clothing on trend. I love Nati! They have their finger on the pulse of what is on trend with quality clothing at lesser prices and the Venice locale is the best deal, priced for the younger crowd there. I have 3 of everything I buy there in different colors, warm-up suits, silk dresses, etc. Yeah they don't do returns, but they tell you that upfront and it's on the receipt. But it's pretty easy to find something else to exchange with or a gift for a friend. I have bought so many necklaces and jewelry for friends from Nati & they love them. Every one in my social crowd shops at Nati. We one time got a group pic with us all in the different colors of a dress we all had. I found lots of things to try on, and based on those the Nati staff brought me a ton of other options. They helped me pair items so I could find entire outfits and prices were reasonable. Let me preface this review by saying that I am a horrible shopper when it comes to clothing. I wouldn't really say I have a personal style and I never know how to put cute outfits together. Quarantine has definitely made my problem worse as I pretty much look like a slob every day in my apartment. Enter Nati. I was walking by and happened to see a cute pair of lounge pants in the window that looked super comfy. I figured I would stop in, try them on and buy them (if they fit and weren't hideous on me). I grabbed the pants and a saleswoman started a fitting room for me. As I was browsing the other items in the store, another saleswoman (possibly the owner?) started giving me suggestions for things to try on. Being the stubborn person I am (with a lack of style and imagination), I politely declined. When I went into the fitting room, she started bringing me more items to try on. I decided to go with it. Imagine my surprise when everything she suggested looked so cute on!! I had concerns about things looking right due to my height (5'1") but I honestly fell in love with everything. I never would have tried any of the clothes on if not for someone helping me pick items that would be flattering for me. Fast forward to when I'm at the register and I ended up buying seven items and spending over $400. In all honesty, I was nervous about spending so much on one shopping trip. But when I thought about it, I haven't gone shopping for clothes since before quarantine and got quite a few outfits for the price. Especially considering the other boutiques on Abbot Kinney are at a much higher price-point. Plus I have to hand it to the staff here for making the trip such a pleasant and enjoyable experience. This store is literally my new all time favorite. I have shopped here before, but today i went all out for an upcoming trip including East coast and Europe. I needed several outfits for 2 wedding parties. And just some comfortable basics. I get very overwhelmed when I shop and need someone to help me focus. Carol helped me.
