I stopped in today because Nordstrom Rack emailed me a $20 certificate to use within a week. This store was cluttered with a lot of merchandise. I guess that's a good thing if you're trying to find something to buy. I didn't really need anything specific, so looked at the cosmetic aisle and shoe department. I found a bunch of On shoes, which I would have been interested in. Problem is, I already have 3 extra pairs at home sitting in boxes. I looked at flip flops and ended up getting a pair of Nikes in my size. I also saw a pair of Olukai casual shoes and would have picked it up if it fit. The salesperson near the dressing room had access to inventory and told me there wasn't any in my size. That saved me a lot of time looking up and down the aisles. I left happy that I was able to find something to take home today. read more

Not sure what to make of this place. Customer service is there only when you're able to reach an employee. Regardless of the reduced prices, I still find them to be high in my opinion. This store has a decent amount of foot traffic. They need either less articles of clothes to sell or a bigger store to put all the clothes they jam onto the racks. read more

A nice store to find a few bargains. The brand-name purses are located in the front of the store. with the Male clothing on your left as you walk inside the Women's Clothing is on the right side. Shoes are located at the rear of the store. The store is clean, items are neatly placed where they belong. Whenever I find a Nordstrom Rack I like to browse for good deals which you can find. What. Employees are lovely and expect different reactions if they are busy. Do recommend for anyone looking for a sale item, they do not have every name brand of clothes or other items at the N.Rack , what they do have is not bad. read more

Store is organized and has fun stuff, if you've got the time to rummage through a bunch of useless items to find the dime in the dozen. But what stood out to me the most out of this experience today was the cashier, Kristine C. Not sure if she's new, but way to take customer service to another level. This relatively newer Nordstrom Rack location is fairly large, but has limited major brands to choose from, such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Bahama, Nike and many other major brands. I feel the brands they have on sale are not as popular, or not popular colors, which would sell quicker at the main Nordstrom stores. In addition, it's hard to define which areas are men's or women's clothing, as everything is packed so close together. This location is fairly new. The sad part is that it took over my favorite Cost Plus Imports. I don't like to shop at Nordstrom's because it's too expensive, so I shop at their Rack stores. I don't enjoy paying full price for things, and when I enter the store, I head straight to the back, to the shoes. Yes, they have a huge selection of shoes, in my size. A great selection. Again, you're not going to find shoes at Payless prices. What you will find are high end, brand name shoes at discounted prices. I'm never disappointed here. I always find quality men's clothing and really like their shoe selection-- with great brands like Yoka, Merrill, Nike, and more. Even though I'm a small size, I can still find several varieties of shirts and pants in designer styles. Sometimes the lines are crazy long, so I'd recommend shopping during weekdays. Lately, they've added a bunch of seasonal knick-knack items, which I'm not fond of, since it starts to look like Home Goods (some of the items you can even find at the 99 cent store (!). Overall, I'm a brick and mortar lover, so this is a great place to come, even to window shop. read more

Went in to make a return of a $40 garment that was bought online a week after purchase. Refused to issue the return because I could not find the email receipt. I had original packing, tracking number, etc. Made me go home so that I could look through my home computer and find the email. Returned to the store for the return. Took over an hour. Excellent selection of shoes. It's a hit or miss with the women's section. You have to go often to find the best selection because they may only get in one of two pieces of that item. Sizes are a hit or miss too. Overall, this is the best Nordstrom Rack in the area. The men's section is always stocked and easy to find nice merchandise. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. This N.R is a disgrace. There isn't any good merchandise here EVER! The store is small. The employees will rip you off. They do not allow you to exchange anything. You have to return the item first and that's when they rip you off!! They will claim to put a balance on a card when there is no balance on it. Check the balance on the card before you leave!!! I returned a $52 watch to the store and in return I received what should have been a $21 gift card. $52!!!!! Seriously!!! The other day I tried to exchange something for items that I was purchasing at their store and I was told they don't allow exchanges. I said, "since when?" I had actually exchange that item the day before at the South Bay Nordstrom Rack. Complete bs! They don't allow exchanges because they just want to rip you off and you never get your refund when you return an item. Stay as far as you can away from the store! I discovered this gem of a store earlier in 2021 when I realized LA was reopening and I needed "going out" clothes. I gleefully discovered that the El Segundo location had quite an expansive selection, all organized accordingly by designer, size and color. I am ashamed to admit that for a period of time, I frequented the store on a weekly basis as their selection frequently changed with the influx of merchandise. I visited the store yesterday, and there were rows and rows of additional racks for their end of the year merchandise. I have visited a few other Rack locations and El Segundo, by far, has the best selection for those with refined tastes. To boot, their staff is incredibly helpful and polite. Considering this NR is adjacent to one of the wealthiest beach cities in Southern California, you would think they would have higher-end apparel. I was really surprised at the limited stock and quality of the clothes. On a side note, I bought a few of their inexpensive Madewell brand t-shirts and every single one of them came out of the dryer with holes after the first wash. I was excited about the opening of this store until I visited over the weekend. The overall quality of merchandise in the store in not typical of Nordstroms rack like Costa Mesa or on 3rd and La Cienega. The quality of most clothing is lacking and similar to low budget retail stores . Also, I was detained at the door and my items scanned for "anti- theft devices". This was apparently random and something I had never experienced leaving a clothing store. Is the area going down or is this Nordstrom's new profiling practice?!! read more

I am a loyal Rack client after my beloved Loehmanns closed. The rumor was the new El Segundo store would have more upscale designer wear for the South Bay client. Boy was I disappointed!!! The opening day was a festive event but no where near as fun as the one that opened downtown LA a few years. The inventory is lacking, the store is very small compared the the Redondo Beach store. I went back to the Redondo store today and had a party, so much more beautiful inventory. I may check back occasionally but they didn't even have the basics that I wear. read more

The manager (Michelle) was very unprofessional, inattentive to customers, and not helpful. She didn't assist me what so ever and consistently looked around. She talked down on the employees in an unprofessional way. I did not approve of this behavior as she is a supervisor and walked out without buying anything. I will not be returning due to the lack of customer service from the manager whom is supposed to ensure her store and customers are content. If I were able to give no stars I would. She was so busy chatting about how to pronounce the managers name, that she had to ask what I was there for twice.!! This Nordstrom rack is brand new! Everything is well stocked and today is the first day they opened. I am excited they have a location in this area, it's been a nice experience here. Management trained the staff well because everyone that I've asked a question to has been extremely helpful.In the women's section, it is pretty full, including the clearance! Pretty small selection of men's ties and accessories but it's really nice and organized l. It's a bit on the smaller side, but it's definitely bigger than the one in Culver City and maybe about the same size as the one in Redondo Beach Southbay. Need more quality items and a bit more sales. read more
