November 28, 2025 Day after Thanksgiving, I used the drive up service. First time and I was already frustrated, due to being informed Manhattan Beach Ca Target was open. But it wasn't, huge bummer . I parked in drive up service stall #13 , and a Target employee approached my vehicle. Very calmly asked for my code gave it to him, he placed my bags in my vehicle neatly well packed. Said have a great week and closed my trunk. Didn't slam it walked away like he was just as pleasant as the wind and sweet and well mannered as my own. I looked high and low for this representative face in Target, God knows I didn't get his name, he had on glasses he was very slim, well groomed. If anyone can teach this employee. Please inform management, its the holidays and not every employee has this type of demeanor. Im coming to Target from now on, YES BC OF HIS WELCOMING VIBE. I looked we couldn't even leave tips for them. But this is my receipt so hopefully management can figure it out for me. Overall this Target is AOK. On the downside, this location doesn't measure up to many of the better links in the Target chain I've shopped at; this is mainly because there don't seem to be any staffers available when you need help, so if you have trouble finding something you're pretty much on your own :-( On the plus side, if you're patient, and you're willing to spend some time hunting through the aisles, they do have pretty much all the essentials, and everything is fairly reasonably priced. My bottom line is that I'm still a fan of the Target brand, and will deal with the apparent staff shortage at this location when necessary. read more

This Target was one of the best Targets you can score NeeDohs and trends that your Teens and Tweens love! They have a great stock of NeeDohs and the GUI GUI slimes(even the new mini ones). The service was great! The lady at costumer service explained the rules about the NeeDoh which is one per person (which you can come back the next day if you want more) And the also have squeeezys aswell! The value of and durability of every product you'd purchase is outstanding,and every product is 100% authentic! This Target is generally one of the better store locations in the South Bay and Beach Cities. I believe this is considered a "Great-land" store which means it's larger in size and scope compared to other Target stores. This has a CVS Pharmacy inside. Parking isn't too bad unless you don't like walking. They should abolish the curbside pick-up parking spaces, it's no longer 2020 and the Pandemic is over. Handicapped or simply in-store shoppers could use these often vacant / unused parking spots. read more

Target is a national chain of department stores that carry whatever you may want. Some also have grocery areas. This target stands out because it is just so clean and organized. You can find what you want, be it toys or clothes--we got a pool for our dog to play in. We walked in and asked where it was and she knew exactly where they were. The customer service is just wonderful here. They have enough employees to help you and they are always friendly. It is nice inside and out. And the prices are great. This is a great one, so go there. read more

I ordered a backpack online and came here to pick it up. Easiest transaction ever! We parked, went in and I showed the guy my barcode and the guy gave me my backpack. I came here because it was the only target in the LA area with that style and size of backpack. I ordered from a couple of places that were closer and all of those orders were cancelled. I appreciated the efficiency. I won't be back, because this isn't an area that I come to ever, except for this. but I'm glad that they had what I wanted and delivered! read more

This used to be the GREATLAND TARGET but now it's just a Target. Best part about this store is the completely separate area between the store parking and drive-up/pickup area. They made it so convenient to be separate and completely away from everything. As a result, the drive-up orders here are the fastest. Store is very clean, and staff helpful. I lost my clutch here one time and Loss Prevention actually instructed me to walk with them (retrace my steps) through the store and helped me find my wallet! I still use that method to this day if I ever lose an item! Two gripes - over the years because of store popularity things are constantly out stock. They ONLY use paper bags as a result of a Manhattan Beach rule of "no plastic bags". Bring your own bag if you hate flimsy paper bags. read more

I haven't experienced anything bad at this Target. They got everything that I need. Sometimes,their home decors are unique so I pick some when I have to because of their quality. Hello, I hardly post any negative review but I felt this was necessary to spread awareness. I work in the area & will sometimes frequent this Target location. I wanted to return a pair of stockings that I purchased here recently because when I opened them I saw there was already a snag on them. I remind you I didn't even wear them however when I presented the item at the return counter the miss that helped me asked that I bring the item out with my own hands & literally collected the stockings by having me place them on the cardboard package that they originally came in. Can I make a suggestion? If the customer service associate is weary about handling articles of clothing can they possibly wear gloves? It made feel really awkward & uncomfortable. We received a text from pharmacy that medication needed approval from insurance. After waiting about half an hour on the phone trying to talk to a pharmacist we finally went to Target to talk to pharmacist in person. They couldn't find his prescription in their system for about an hour. They said it was deleted by the system. What?! Then my husband said he'll just pay retail out-of-pocket which was over $600. I got these cool shorts on sale great for working out and hanging out. Super adorable & I lucked out they had my size because it was on clearance! I also got this fabulous swimsuit on sale! Clearance again normally it was $36, but with the sale it was more than 50% off. I'm extremely happy with the quality and the prices that Target has. Inconvenient - unhelpful employees - customer service desk not friendly AT ALL! This Target needs to work on their customer service. I don't think i've ever had a negative experience at a Target until visiting this location. First I parked by the drive up order door to do a quick return. The girls at the counter said they couldn't help me. If you have computers in front of you and no customers you should definitely be able to help someone that is struggling with ADA mobility issues and walking with a cane! So I asked the girls working at the pickup counter if it was worth walking through the store to get to the customer service counter or if I would be better off driving myself to the other entrance. They both shrugged as if they just did not care. Once I made it to the other entrance I got to the customer service counter and was not even greeted. The employee was talking with another employee/manager and may as well have been a robot. He took my bag from me, processed the return, handed me the receipt and did not so much as look at me once throughout the transaction. Just WOW. read more

This Target is the size of a couple football fields. That ginormous. I loved their grocery section. Not as much inventory as the usual supermakrets, but very respectible. Prices were excellent. I came for tennis balls alnd they had none. So was thier mini store in Westchester, 15 minutes away up north. The huge parking lot gets filled so you maly have to wait for a spce, but not long. I am a school teacher in the community and am sponsoring families this holiday season. Each year I come here and the manager kindly gives me a discount (10%) to help our families in need. This year, Chase Moss, the manager told me he couldn't and wouldn't. He told me he was sorry but Target doesn't offer discounts unless I went through corporate. I believe this was his choice. How could he not when every manager in the past has? I am most Likely going To spend in upwards of $1,000 today and they couldn't, no wouldn't, support their community and families. I am extremely disappointed in Target and of course with Chase Moss, the manager. I will not be coming back to Target next year. They don't have the courtesy of supporting local families so I won't have the courtesy of spending my money. read more

Many fellow Yelpers cite parking can be a challenge. I came through on a midday lunch hour and I had zero problems finding parking. This location is probably one of the exceptions - they had a huge lot specifically for this, so that was a plus. A typical Target store. You walk in and there's the usual Starbucks and such. The plus side to this particular store is they had Which Wich. (What!?) It's a delightful surprise as I'm more used to the Pizza Hut or some kinda pizza joint (which I usually skip.) Far better than the Target I go to near home. Aisles are clean despite the post-holiday shopping crowd. I got to find everything I needed. I even found bargain items I wasn't even planning on buying. I had gift cards to burn and found using them at the self-checkout really easy to use. So glad it's conveniently located close to work. Slightly better than average experience. They notify others where to steal the cars in the parking lot. The security will claim the parking lot is private property and target has nothing to do with it either. This part of the review is for the Starbucks. I am very pleased with this Starbucks cafe at this Target. I had been looking for the 2020 holiday release merchandise, and was not very successful at stand-alone Starbucks'. This store had a full stock of the entire line. I was in heaven!! Now I know where to come when I'm looking for the hot new releases. For the Target review, this is probably one of my favorites. It is very clean, is well stocked, and the customer service is good. Manhattan Beach Target, you get a 3. And y'all know I love my Drive up Target orders. In the last 2 years and in my humble opinion, Target has set the bar for app/online orders and drive up/curbside pickups. Like for real for real, other companies, take notes. Easy ordering. Easy pickup Plenty of space to pull up. Now Manhattan Beach pick up your notebooks and take notes from the other Target locations, cuz you're messing up with this. It's a 3. Never have any problems there if I order a day in advance for drive up. The problem is that most Target locations are on a 2 hour order turnover and this one often is 2-4 hours. Whatever fine. But when the app says 2 hours, it's 2 hours. Not 4 and not 6. I've seen it say 4 hours before and I can respect that. But when it says 2....it's 2. Yesterday was the 3rd time I've canceled at this location and ordered the items at another one and gotten them before this one ever said "order ready." You might have 2 questions or me. So let me handle. 1. Why do I continue to go here? Easy. I run errands on weekends with my 4 month old. She needs to sleep and loves the car and I get to pick up the stuff we need, without leaving the car. This location is far enough away from the house for a good nap and I can hit other things up and down PCH. 2. What happened yesterday that made me write this review and go with a 3 (when I'm a Target fan, yes Yelp Friend Marissa of NC, I said it lol)? I called after almost 4 hours of order "processing" time to check on the status. The woman who finally picked up, after putting me on hold for a cool minute, tells me something about they are on 6 hour lag times, they're one of the biggest stores, they are busy because they have everything in stock, and then they are working on my order but need 2 hours more. WTF. For real? Let's get into it. A. 6 hours isn't even listed on the app for order turnover time and are you kidding? A full school day is about 6.5 hours what the __ are your order folks doing? B. Biggest store? Great. But we're doing drive up. Size of the store doesn't matter. You are filling orders with stock not running a marathon. Reorganizing for efficiency would help. C. You don't have everything in stock. I was still going to another location because you didn't have an item I needed. This happens often. D. 2 hours more wait with a baby who only sleeps about 2 hours. No sir. No ma'am. With all that, I go with a 3 cuz 70% of the time I don't have a problem. But that 30%, it's a mess. EXTREMELY RACIST! Ordered a Nintendo Switch Console and a Game but the game was only available for shipping and the system was for pick up. Due to thefts occurring, game was shipped to our company's PO Box address which is also saved in the Target app from previous purchases, shipments. Upon arrival at the drive up, the store was notified and since we were parked in front of the clear doors we could see the staff inside pulling items. A staff member, picks up our item and begins to approach the car - positive body language walking over - as  soon as the window as rolled down and she looks at me and says Hi I can't give this to you I need to verify this with an id so we're going to cancel it and you have to come inside and buy it if you want this item. I asked why would I have to come inside when I have an ID and I just sent then notification to you of my arrival from my app for the item that I've already paid for ? She says well your order says this - shows her "My Device" with my company's name listed on the order" I say Oh yes! That's my company, I own a bakery. She says well that needs to be verified with your ID and you can't do that so you have to come inside if you want to buy this item. I tell her, I'm not dragging my children inside the store, I do drive up orders for a reason--I'm not leaving them out here either so I need to speak to a store manager--she replies I am a manager that's why I'm out here I'm a supervisor--rolling eyes, harsh tone of voice--I say oh are you the store manager? I need an ETL. She huffs away and back into the store still talking under her breath. She says something to the group off staff congregating at the pick up counter then proceeds into a room where I presume is an office and comes out with another manager. The manager came out and she came along with him with a smirk on her face and I asked if he was the store manager and when he acknowledged that he was I let Savanna know she was dismissed and I didn't need her there at all. I showed him my app as well as my LLC information with my name on it that matched my ID and address. He thanked me for verifying and asked if I can just make sure I always add an alternate with my name included and I agreed. He went ahead and gave me my item that I drove 30 mins one way to receive. read more

A L E X I S, is the worst manager I have come across with. He has 0 customer service skills. He was quick to shut us down. When we asked for his last name, Alexis said per Target policy they cannot give full name. Weird, right? He was quick to give us the HR number instead of resolving the issue. We were asking for a price match from Walmart. The only reason we knew Target price matched is because a customer price matched the same product in front of us. However when we went to check- out, Alexis said a firm NO. His reason was because they only price match Target.com and because it was one day before Thanksgiving. Mind you before we checked out, we had a 15 min conversation with 2 employees regarding how they price match their competitors. Alexis, perhaps before hitting the sales floor, take some time to do some training and read the Target.com website. Maybe you can learn a little something. I did the research for you. Update: 5/16/20 I called to make sure they had a product I needed. I get to the store and wait in the line outside for 35 mins. Not a big deal. I get inside to buy the rather expensive item they literally said they had, and it's now missing. I get it, inventory can be off. But I called and asked the person to please be sure. Since I didn't want to go out and risk infection. What really makes me fume is the 2 guys behind the electronics counter telling me I had to wait for someone else to come help me. Meanwhile as they played on their phones and had their masks on their chins. Awesome. And to think I praised this place not to long ago. I guess it's all depending on who you interact with. During this time of uncertainty, disorder, and plan out just being scared. I'd like to commend Target Manhattan Beach on how well they're running their store. (From my observation) First: Only allowing so many people in the store at a time. It's a great idea, but I've seen other places try to stick to this idea and fail. But target simple had a very polite young woman kindly reminded people that she'd let them in a few at a time. (As others came out, and when she got the green light via radio from inside) And from my experience everyone in line kept their social distance and was polite and patient. (Even in the rain) Second: Once inside it didn't feel crowded whatsoever. The store seemed beyond clean and for the most part shelves were stocked pretty well. (Even scored something TP, been about 5 weeks since we got our last) Third: The checkout line, the most people I saw in line was about 2-3 people per open register. I believe the great job of limiting the amount in the store helped keep the lines down. And once again everyone I saw was keeping their distance, and seemed rather peaceful. I think not feeling crowded and having less people around you maybe made people feel more relaxed. (Just my opinion) And lastly the young lady running the register was beyond friendly. Watching her literally clean down the belt, her keypad, and the payment pad between each guest really helped putting you mind at ease a bit more. I'm truly grateful for our grocery, restaurant, store, emergency services, and all other hard working essential employees. It can't be easy durning these times, and I wish I could thank each of them. I'm very impressed by the size of this location. It is seriously an all in one type of target. I mean, they even have a CVS pharmacy inside. How cool is that? It includes target grocery as well, not to mention, their very own Starbucks. This is a packed and loaded target location. I would love to go back. This may be in Manhattan Beach, but it is by far one of the most ratchet Targets that I have ever been to. Everything seems to be low in stock all of the time if not completely out of stock. Also, today I needed help finding something, and when I would ask someone for help they would passively point to the direction where they think that it could possibly be (mind you, I was just looking for a specific aisle number). I spoke to three different people and I walked across the whole store just as many times times because I kept getting directed in the wrong direction. Finally right before I was about to leave there was a woman who noticed that I was lost and helped me with what I needed. (Hence the two stars instead of one). In conclusion, I hate this Target and regret that I didn't spend my time at the Torrance or Redondo branch. read more

The store is great neat and clean. This location is horrible with fulfilling online orders on a timely matter. Every time I place an order, it takes hours to fulfill, unlike the other locations. Most of the times I just cancel and drive to another location. Another issue is when I did a return for about 4 items, and the associate was opening them up even though they were unused, like trying to accuse me of lying and took forever to inspect the items. When I go to any other target, they just simply look at it and do the return. I'm not sure if the associate was having a bad morning. read more
