After doing a little shopping at nearby William and Sonoma, I had a few questions to ask these two, and boy was I not prepared for the answers! Within 15 minutes, I realized the concierge services offered here are top tier. Bren and Hope (pictured) informed me they can cater to Village customers by: 1) providing you with a ticket to secure your luggage or baggage you wish to safely store while you shop at your convenience... 2) provide wheelchair rentals for the disabled or physically challenged... 3) make restaurant reservations for you... 4) charge your phone(s) while you shop... 4) answer a plethora of questions you may have regarding all things Manhattan Village. These two boom with personality and their knowledge knows no boundaries! They are a true credit to the Manhattan Village brand!

You get the idea, it is the kind of place where you always find something interesting. Sure, you can probably find similar items online for a few dollars less, but that is not the point. It feels good to shop in person, take your time, and pick out something meaningful for a loved one instead of just opening another Amazon box. I picked up a Manhattan Beach puzzle for my in-laws and a California dish towel for a friend who moved to the East Coast to be closer to her children, both made for really thoughtful, personal gifts. The store has a warm, well-curated feel, and the employees have always been friendly and helpful. I love this shop and am happy to support a great local small business. Places like this are what make the neighborhood feel like a community. 5 stars for me.

This is more of a retro vintage store and what makes this place different is that they don't just collect donations, the owner actually hits the road sometimes and brings back really cool finds from other areas. There are a ton of really stylish, funky, colorful artsy pieces to bring flair to your life or you! There are tons of goodies to help you communicate your vibe! I love stepping into the store getting lost in the retro gems mixed with the nostalgic inner child funtastic finds! They also had some sunny yard artwork outside! I can't wait to go back!

Unfortunately, the checkout experience left me feeling disappointed. A couple prices being adjusted on the spot is understandable, but having tags removed and being quoted significantly higher prices felt uncomfortable and unexpected. One used purse was priced close to (or above) what I could purchase it for new at a regular retail store, and it wasn't a vintage item. It genuinely hurt to leave the items behind because I loved what I found. I just couldn't move forward with pricing that felt inconsistent. I hope the shop can work toward more transparent pricing, as it really is a lovely space with so much potential.
