My son and I love going in and checking out all the wonderful antiquities and it's so close to home (sorta...RPV). We go at least once a month these days because there's always something amazing to see. Prices are reasonable and Gary always has Aloha Shirts in my son's size. He is also super knowledgeable. Today, we came home with a 4 foot tall TIKI totem (naturally), 2 Aloha Shirts at $10/piece and some super freaky and cool dolls for our out of town houseguest (3 for $40!). The Antique Corral has always caught my curiosity whenever traveling down PCH in Redondo Beach because they always have so many vintage items out front on the street. We finally decided to stop in and check them out. The inside is so overwhelming. There is no order to anything. No prices on anything and actually it's quite difficult to walk around. It is so full of merchandise. There are many nice antique shops in the South Bay Area, but unfortunately, this isn't one of them. read more

Then we're just super short, uninterested in talking to us, and were not helpful across the board. The good: There are really unique things here that I haven't seen at other antique or thrift shops. There were lots of slot machines, marbles, books, shoes, class photos and statues. I've always wanted to visit this spo The bad: I wish they had prices listed. The right half of the store was super dark. It looked like there were black mold spots on the ceiling. You can't walk in the store with your backpack because you might knock stuff over because things are tight in there. The interesting: It seemed like they were busy moving things from inside to the outside so I felt like everywhere I went I was in the way. O didn't feel very welcomed. The back right side is a private desk area but you wouldn't be able to tell that it wasn't part of the antique shop sales area. read more

NEGATIVE STARS if I could. After reading reviews, I'm glad to know it wasn't just my boyfriend and I that experienced what we did today.... The people who work there are hateful and absolutely miserable. The old man who I presume owns the place, is bitter and completely rude. As soon as we walked in we were treated like we were intruding. After about 30 minutes, my boyfriend was walking towards what looked like another cluttered section of the building to look around and the guy yelled "you can't go back there!!!" My boyfriend apologized immediately and the man doubled down to say "Now I don't trust you so you should go"... The "private" area had no sign, no gate, nothing just looked like another hoarded, cluttered, area with dirty towels on the floor...All of the clothes are disgusting and dirty, there are no price tags, and the vibes are so dark in there. I don't know how he keeps the place running considering this is the most unfriendly place in the South Bay. Save your time. read more

What an amazing gem of an antique store, a South Bay treasure trove of vintage curiosities. There is something for everyone, and the owner and his sons and staff are fantastic people. My dad and his friends have been coming here for years, and today I got to see why. Not the usual boring dishes, clothes and estate sale junk, but really cool vintage advertising and mechanical stuff that really grabs the eye. I got a huge vintage Disneyland park poster to go with my other park artifacts, and dad got some 1916-1919 CA license plates that he wanted for a long time. Very rude staff, overpriced and messy. I would highly recommend stars antique market for a antique store in Hermosa instead. I was walking around and apparently I was in his "office" I couldn't tell because it's not like it was closed off it just had a chair and a tv towards the back of one of the rooms. And from behind me I hear the owner I presume say to me "What do you think your doing" and then "can't you tell this is my office" (it looked like the rest of the store) I walked out and we said well we just about to leave and he said "good." This place is just full of cool stuff. One of those places I drove by so many times and always said I would go and one day I finally did and all I could tell myself is I should have stopped in a long time ago. Definitely did not disappoint and I was wowed by all the cool stuff. So much history in there. The owner was super helpful and nice. I ended up buying a few pins. I collect them and he had a lot to look through. My husband is interested in a few big items so we definitely plan to go back. There is something for everyone in there. In my next visit I will take more pictures but for now I only have a picture of the pins I purchased. read more

Amazing antique store! Items are constantly changing! Big selection of Taxidermy, Asian artifacts, retro signs, bubblegum machines, antique books, glassware, table clocks, so much more! I highly recommend! I'm editing this to include I am a Mexican & Filipino woman. I have been here MANY times. This couple is NOT RACIST - they have treated me with nothing but kindness and respect each time I have visited. I don't pick up or touch things because they are old and fragile pieces. If I want to see something, I ask before I pick it up. The couple that usually work here will pick it up then hand it to me and are great at answering my questions. If you touch something vintage, the oil from your hands alone could compromise the integrity of the piece. This isn't Target. This isn't a second hand store like Goodwill either. If you don't know how to shop for antiques, ASK! This isn't a junk store. Every piece has been carefully selected and many hours have been taken to display each piece. Every item comes with a story and they are very careful who they sell these items to. Your man cave items can be purchased online - most likely a reproduction from China priced at 10x the cost of child labor. Educate yourself before posting such nonsense. So many lovely treasures here. Unfortunately, very few items were priced. I practically stumbled upon a man at a desk who obviously owned it or worked there. During the 30+ minutes we perused the store we were not greeted and he never bothered to make eye contact. I don't know if this is their personal collection and they aren't interested in selling or if they're just inconsiderate and don't care but in spite of the many wonderful items there we will not return. I was passing by this antique shop and saw the owner out front unloading new treasures and packing them inside the already over-stuffed treasure trove. I flipped a u'ye and parked street side in front of his shop. I approach him and asked him if I could do a quick walk through, he told me he was closed, I told him I was from out of town and I had a pocket full of cash, he said if you want to take the tour feel free to but excuse the mess and if you see something you like we'll figure out a price. He was trying to make a path (yes it was that crowded). As I walked through it was as he stated very cluttered but these are the types of places I like, a lot of the time the good stuff has been buried so long others overlook it and the owner's sentimental attachment has subsided. Well since I was traveling by air and I would have to ship anything I found that I couldn't pack in our luggage it would definitely have to be one special item, but I was willing to go that direction if I scored. There's nothing bad here. - a great owner - unlimited supply of odds and ends, some very unique pieces - a private invitation to shop after hours heck this was a real treat even if I didn't land on anything, sometimes the most enjoyment comes from the hunt... read more

i have to agree with the negative reviews. i wanted to check it out because it looked like it had cool items but honestly, not worth it. my experience was neutral, but i didn't feel comfortable asking questions or how much something is. very white and i get racist vibes - talking about politics and china like it's their home and not a business (there's a time and place for it). i don't understand how they get customers or get business. but redondo is very white dominant - so there we go. i wont be going back again. i would just use offerup or go to another antique place. read more

It's a no for me. In general, I don't post negative reviews. However, if I have an egregious experience, I am inclined to inform my fellow Yelpers. I stopped by because there was a Coca Cola sign outside that caught my attention. There was a man and a woman who I assumed worked there, but neither bothered to acknowledge or greet me. So after a few minutes of browsing, I asked the man if he worked there, to which he replied yes, and I then inquired about the price. I was so turned off by the unfriendliness of this establishment that I could not entertain a deeper discussion about the sign and chose to leave. Too bad because it would have made a great addition to my collection room. read more

Wow where do I start. In my mind the two most important things in a successful business is professionalism and the quality of the business. This place lacks both. My husband and I were traveling to LA for business and everywhere we go we antique shop. I had a business meeting in Torrance, going to redondo was a no brainer for some food and shopping. We stumbled upon this shop and if I read the reviews prior I would have never stepped foot into such a facility. We try to walk in and the door is closed even though the hours state open? We knock and finally the most unfriendliest face opens the door. Anything can be happening in a persons life so we ignore and ask to come in. The owner I presume, was absolutely racist he kept walking around the shop watching us? How uncomfortable!!! My husband asked how much things were he was not in the mood to answer! So we told him we'd give business to someone who may have needed it and he kicked us out of the store and slammed the door! We were scared that he would get violent! Stay away! read more

This place must be under new ownership, or at least have new employees, based on what I read in older reviews. I've been shopping here less than a year, and it's a pleasure. The store has many items grouped irregularly, just like any other antique store, but the merchandise isn't junky at all. Every item I've looked at has a price tag. Most importantly, the service is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. For example, today I bought some teak tables at a very reasonable price. While I was moving my car to the front of the store for loading, the woman in charge rubbed down all the pieces with furniture oil. She couldn't have been nicer. Driven by tons of times....finally took a peek....best way to describe it: a haystack of needles. Not a huge place bu decent size and packed to the gills...but no rhyme or reasonn or pricing. Just ask the lady amd she texts the banker and he says how much....deal or no deal. Kind of a shame. I found some really cool things but to simply send him a message and he calls back with a price, lame. The best part ....looking at something at the counter, "how much?" Have been shopping for antiques here for nearly 20 years and have added some amazing pieces to my collection. Have always been treated well by the owner and staff. Some of the negative reviews here show clearly that these folks do not understand the antique business and have mistaken the establishment for a thrift store. There is a lot of quality merchandise here that could be displayed in a more upscale venue but this would require a considerable increase in prices. Shop here if you are looking for treasures at fair prices. If you fear a little dust or insist on handling valuable pieces without asking first, you should probably look elsewhere. read more

Recent controversy prompted me to relay my experience. Was not positive. Racist memorabilia scattered throughout the store. Not even antiques, but replicas. Poor quality replicas, at that. Displays are cheap and kitschy. More of a truck stop souvenir shop than an antique store. Which we wouldn't have minded so much if management hadn't created such an unwelcoming atmosphere. There's got to be SOMETHING worth buying in the store or it wouldn't still be open, but we weren't comfortable staying long enough to find it. Colorado is a beautiful, unique state full of color and personality - don't get sucked in to cheap local tourist traps. read more

Stopped on PCH to shop for my mother's birthday. Parked in front of his store. I got out of the car and carefully stepped around the rugs that the owner had laid out for sale. He immediately confronted me and said you took up "all" my parking places. 1) it's street parking not his stpre's and 2) there was an empty space behind me and 3) what a ridiculous way to confront a potential customer! I said are you asking me to move my car, and he said that would be nice so people can park here and shop. So, potential customer lost. Also do not understand why he's got his items for sale all over the sidewalk and not in his curb. You can't even get out of your car without stepping on the rugs. read more

My husband and myself stopped at the antique Corral yesterday. My husband and myself stopping antique stores two to three times a week being truck drivers it is his passion, he collects antique knives in particular. What caught us off-guard was the rude Behavior by one of the employees who may have been the owner as well. Why the one employee was polite and showed my husband the knives the other employee continue to tell us what time it is were we aware of what time it was and they would be closing in 15 minutes. There is a polite way to run a business and tell people you're closing time standing hovering over them and being rude is not the way to do this. At my prompting I wanted to leave and my husband took his mere $50 worth of purchases and purchase them he planned on spending more than 200 but with her rude Behavior I will not be back. read more

Just went to check the place out when driving by, the owner hassled me about touching things that I was interested in possibly buying and the proceeded to kick me out after telling him "I was interested in buying things but not anymore" as I was walking to my car he walked along side of me and my girlfriend trying to start a fight with me. He was all talk and pretended to take his shirt off but the whole experience sucked. I had already picked out an item to purchase before that happens, quite a good way to lose customers. If you do, you will get the following: hung up on, when you call back and thinking it was error you will get the speech that you are playing games and to not call back. Nice selection. I bought a "San Diego Zoo" poster here once, really nice poster. The owner specializes in Stickley /arts and crafts furniture. Also has a good eye for all things c. 1900. Great modern pieces from time to time. Quality for sure, prices are fair...he would rather pass the savings onto his customers than have something in inventory for 10 years. Worth a look if you are in the area, always something interesting here. Best antique store in 10 mile to 15 mile radius, one of top 10 antique stores in the city of Los Angeles.
