Cheap Vintage is a very unique secondhand store that has been around forever. I've come to this store for decades. Each time they present a unique variety of all kinds of secondhand items. It's truly amazing when you walk in the store as you never know what you're going to find. This business is located in the heart of San Pedro. So, it's very easy to find and there's plenty of street parking so you're not going to have a problem finding a place to park your vehicle. The one thing to keep in mind is that store has limited hours so you need to be prepared for that. I would suggest that you call to see if they're open before you actually travel to the location because sometimes, even though they are supposed to be open, they're not, just as sometimes when they're supposed to be closed, they are open. One way or the other when you get inside, you will be surprised. This business is truly an asset to San Pedro and a great place to find that something you never knew existed. read more

Creepy store. Very unorganized. Smell bad. Sketchy area with a homeless man sat at the entrance. Run by an older guy who at first seemed nice. He told us to ask the price to him or tell him if we have price in mind. After we found the items we wanted, we asked the price and he just told us whatever price in his head. When we tried to negotiate the price he was so rude and said no. Won't be coming back here for sure. read more

I loved this store, but Donna was just the best! This store has many items that are vintage and some not so vintage. Donna said this store has been around for 45 years which I find to be amazing. A lot of old and newer fashion jewelry. Vintage clothes and a lot of home items. Pricing can be high but some are just excellent deals. Check it out! read more

The RUDEST place to ever shop at. Came in here to check out some of their clothing and found some pieces I liked. I was planning on buying a jacket I found that had no price. The person working there that I am assuming is the owner told me he would work with our price and was open to negotiating. Took one good look at the jacket and claimed it was new when the jacket was obviously used. He told me $30 for the jacket and when I negotiated the price he rudely said this jacket isn't for you and then put the jacket back. Too bad, the jacket was something I was looking forward to buy, but I will never ever come back here. The store is disorganized and smelly. I do not recommend coming here at all. Everything is overpriced and the owner is rude. Take your business to the other stores on the same street. read more

Both stores are like secret spots full of vintage finds. The one in San Pedro carries more 60s, 70s, and 80s furniture, and it is packed to the rafters (literally) with costumes, wigs, hats, jewelry. Its inventory spills out onto the sidewalk when the doors are open, and if you are lucky, you might just find the diamond in the rough. The Lomita store is considerably smaller, with more "up-scale" antiques. It specializes, I was told, in office furniture. But I came away feeling like I could find a piece for every room in my house. This is the kind of place you have to just keep coming back to, to check and see what's there. But looking around is part of the adventure and part of the fun! read more

I have been shopping this store for years! It actually may be why my house is haunted, but well worth it I tell you! The woman who owns the store is a dream come true! The finds you will find are fabulous! Vintage, used, new, antique...its all there. I picked up costume items for three people and walked out paying only $8!! The name says it all. About half vintage clothing and the rest junque, this is a wonderful place to browse around in hoping to find a treasure that you know more about than the very pleasant manager. It is a tough slog, though. Most of the items here are pretty down-scale in quality (even when they were new). But always fun to search. I've stopped in to the Cheap in Lomita, and I kept meaning to stop by this location. I finally had a day with no lunch and in San Pedro, and am glad I did. Donna who runs the place has worked here for 17years. The two shops are owned by brothers but this store is by far the more organized of the two. She doesn't like clutter, so the store seems much more put together and cared for than many of other vintage type shops in the area. Both shops have a good selection of furniture, mostly quantity and not the coolest or best quality stuff though. But like anywhere else, these places are usually hit or miss and I just really enjoy browsing. There are a lot more clothes at this location and she says they do a lot of costumes. I asked about coats, but she just finished putting away the X-mas stuff and hadn't gotten them down yet. Regardless, I scored a cute necklace and debated on a frame and some really unique silver serving forks. I decided to measure 1st on the frame. This place could defenitley hold some treasures if you look long enough, and I enjoyed talking to Donna & her funny cats. She knew where things were, and if your looking for anything specific I bet she would know if it was there. FYI, I always forgot about this place because of where it sits. Came to this place because of other reviews in hope of finding the perfect gift for my mom since we both love vintage things. As soon as I came in, I was welcomed by Donna and her sweet cats. She didn't pester me as I browsed and I ended up finding a really pretty 50s style dress for only $8. Donna ended up really helping me towards the end when she showed me these gorgeous pearl necklaces (some fake some not). I ended up buying two of them for my mom which she loved and even finding one for me for $7! As an added bonus, Donna even showed me the difference between a fake pearl and a real one. If you have some time and patience, you could very well find something you'll love in this place. I recommend coming here. read more

Never really find much, but I just have to give a place that rescues cats and let them roam around their shop, at least 4 stars. I've only come here twice, and sometimes you can find a diamond in the rough. Just, at least come for the cats, that of which, are gigantic, and adorable. read more

Came here after reading some yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. They actually carry authentic dresses, gowns etc dating back to the 20's between $40-$50 bucks. We were able to find enough pieces to create a Vampire goddess costume for my daughter and a "Hobbit Sam" costume for my son. I was also able to pick up some vintage costume jewelry for my costume all for less than $25.00. A lovely and eccentric sales woman by the name of Donna was extremely helpful :) If you have a little patience and creative know how, you can find some real bargains here. How can I possibly express in words how wonderful my experience was with Cheap Vintage? I first went into the Lomita store looking for a cool vintage dresser for my new house (my first house!) which happens to be tiny. Russ showed me around for a bit and we had a lovely chat. He showed me what they had there but encouraged me to check out their San Pedro location, as that is where they send most of that type of furniture. I live more than 20 miles away from the store but I work in the area so I stopped by one day after work. There I met Donna and my future dresser and vanity. Donna was lovely and friendly and we spent a good while chatting. I took some pics of the pieces I loved so I could think about them and look around some more before committing to the purchase. After checking out a few other places, including the Rose Bowl Flea Market, I was still thinking about that beautiful art deco waterfall set and decided I would head back down to visit with Donna and see if they were still there. Clearly it was meant to be. Not only were they still there but Russ gave me such a good deal that I almost felt guilty taking it. Donna and I spent a little time chatting and I was introduced to the store cats. Everything about my interactions with Cheap Vintage was amazing! Not only did Russ give me a great price, but he actually delivered the set to my house more than 20 miles away for almost nothing! When he arrived with my furniture, he totally remembered me and our conversation from a couple weeks prior at his Lomita store. He and Gene safely and expertly delivered and put the pieces back together and we parted with a hug. Besides beautiful furniture and great prices, Russ and Donna were just such lovely people.
