LB Vintage is my favorite antique shop in Long Beach! They have great customer service, wide variety of dealers, and great prices. Totally went to the wrong antique mall I intended a few weeks ago, but this was an nicely curated, modern thrift with California pottery and unique midcentury finds. The only thing is the owner was absolutely two-faced and has a bit of that 'tude. She was cold and callous toward my friend and I, and then totally social to the other group. Even when I tried to spark a conversation, she immediately stopped in her tracks and went back to the cash register section. However, that's what makes for a strong, business girlboss. read more

Owner has a poor attitude that makes the experience of shopping here one star or less. We were excited to purchase some things from various sellers this holiday season. We had hands full of goods and were heading to check out. However, the owner started engaging with us in a funky way and seemed to be upset that we were shopping with our service animal because of a "territorial" shop cat. The large gray, one eyed, shop cat appeared comfortable with our service animal as they had interacted 10 minutes prior to being approached by the owner... i think she was actually talking about her own territorial issues Alas, a shame for the people that rent booths from LBC Vintage Etc. as the owners unfriendly and sour tude has a negative effect on business for them. Hopefully she can take a break soon and find some joy. Yikes. In the meantime, there are many antique stores in the area with the same types of merchandise and 5star attitudes. Wow. Regular customer here, but no more. Owner's poor attitude (as well as coming into the middle of transactions when things are sitting at the register being rung up and saying that the prices are actually higher than what has been negotiated) just kills the vibe of vintage shopping. Some very good improvements have taken place here. I found fewer items that were unmarked, and some booths that were previously a "junkie" seemed to have been organized much better. Prices still seem a little high for the venue, but I am looking forward to seeing continued improvement... read more

I follow this store on Facebook. They are located on Pine Street in Downtown Long Beach. I walked this particular day, wish it was closer to Ocean Blvd. Apollo is the resident cat-he usually likes to strike a pose. The store is loaded with antiques, and items from estate sales. The items are well organized, and some items brought memories of younger years. They have a small selection of clothing, but had several coats that I would consider wearing. Lots of vintage jewelry. I like to frequent small business owned shops, versus the big box stores. I'm glad I made the walk over to the store, and plan on being a more frequent visitor and buyer. read more

Fun store on historic Pine ave. lots of cute vintage items at ok prices. Every 3rd Friday have have a "sip and shop" night and stay open until 9pm. Employees are super nice. There is plenty to look around at here. It's a large vintage store in Downtown LB. I disagree about high prices. I am an avid shopper and find the prices the same as other stores including the antique swap meet. They are open Sunday beginning at 11 am. I have been going once monthly and have purchased furniture items. Parking is easy and in front of the store for a few quarters. Staff is friendly and helpful. There have been sales each time I've shopped. 20-50% off. read more

I stopped by on Monday which surprised me because they are usually closed. Guess they're going to be open on Mondays for the holidays, November and December. That is very handy for me and I'm sure for others. They have lots of fun stuff and things that remind me of my childhood. i came into this store and was initially delighted by their one eyed blue's company and finding a meatloaf cassette, cassette briefcase to revamp and a record stand, and a few other items when i went to check out my total was somewhere around $50-$60. when the man checking me out was wrapping my stuff up i told him that i had a $100 bill that had a slight tear at the top and asked if it was okay to use. he said it was and asked me to just tape the top, when he was "wrapping things up" he was itemizing everything and asked me if i knew how much some incense were that i had. i told him somewhere around $2.50 and he seemed discontent with my answer so i said i can go recheck if you want but he just went and came back and said he couldn't find anymore like that so he's just giving me it for $2.50.. even though there was at least 10+ more. he acted like i was lying about how much incense cost like i can't buy them for cheaper on amazon or another hippy store. but the truly disheartening experience was when a blonde woman came to verify the authenticity of my $100 bill and said her "machine" wasn't clearing it, and not because it was torn a bit but because it was fake. what she didn't realize was that i was watching her coworker call her over and noticed her determine how real my money was as soon as she caught a glance at what i looked like. BROWN she aggressively looked me in the eyes and said i don't know where you got this but it's not real, i said i got it from work and she said "i've seen you come in here a lot you used to come in here all the time i know who you are" and i said no i live in orange county i've never been here before. she got red and nervously sweated the more questions i asked about how she concluded my money was fake. i said i work customer service this bill seems real, i checked for the benj on both sides i scratched, i saw the 100 line. i knew the bill was real. my hair is half black and half blonde, i'm short and i dress unique i'm not easily mistaken for anyone else. i paid with my other money which might be surprising to this ugly hearted racist white woman but i've never stolen a thing in my life, i cash my checks and use cash directly from my savings. what this woman has done isn't just a micro aggression, what she's said is that white people can still refuse people of color and minorities and say "our money isn't good here". i also had a woman at another store in downtown long beach verify that it was real and she checked it, uses a pen and said it was. read more

Tl:dr : Can find cute items but, beware. I've shopped here a few times and found a few great items.. There are also items I've seen that literally... Still have a Goodwill sticker on them... Which I guess is coooooooooooooooooooool if like?????? I dunno, that was actually really weird and I read another poster wrote the same about seeing items at a Goodwill... I actually, saw the sticker so.... There are items here that aren't really vintage so you should be reaaaaaally careful.... Whoever stocks clothes in the back picks really cool interesting stuff, rarely fits me an if it did I am not buying polyester [bummersville] - looking for more cotton, but, is like really cool looking and decently priced. I did buy a fedora that fit perfectly. Needless to say I did find a few super awesome items but, there are items I've seen there that just get moved about so.. I don't go here frequently... I bought my couch here an its squeaky but, its so comfy I fall asleep on it - I think maybe might of been a dumpster dive find but, its in such good condition I like tripped out because I stained it slightly. People working here are hit or miss - like I feel like people here are constantly on the passive aggression band-wagon an will make drama over like how you breathe or for not making enough small talk or like, not buying enough or not being impressed by spending money... Is like just like aaaagh "that thorn in your side is not always mine" applies here. I really have no idea; I just wouldn't really support going here often... I always leave with like a sickly feeling even if I buy cool stuff, the cool stuff sorta erases the memory but, never completely. Like I really just wanted to find stuff an go on with my day not really like make a connection. x.x Like that is really like; I've always left feeling super uncomfortable even when I buy cute stuff an I try to shake off that feeling... Or dismiss it. Its really tough to have like a legit non creepy interaction with people here that isn't overly uncomfortable or like; under intense scrutiny. Customers included in this like its just a really bizarre experience for me shopping here. I guess if you know you're selling stuff resold from Goodwill though; I can see why you might be that way? I don't really know Its just really uncomfortable. Or like people's ego is really invested so if you don't buy its like an insult -- I really just dunno... Like is very much like uhhhhh.... Check please.. An like... One of those places where people would say like : "Oh I have a son, you have a daughter.. They should get married" - kind of place an that stuff like; is just really uncomfortable for me. Like being told you're crazy by a person's mom who is evaluating items resold from a Goodwill - essentially donated items - with their child, is really like... Essentially my experience when I shop here. But, there are at times super cute items! read more

Long Beach Vintage ETC is in a perfect location; a great old building which is quite spacious. I didn't know what to expect when I wandered in, so it was fun exploring. I guess if you "antique shop" on a regular basis, you know that having several vendors in one space is typical. I didn't know that, so I was pleasantly surprised at the endless variety of unique items. If you go to the very back of the store, one vendor has set up shop in the original old walk-in safe. I was thrilled by the price of the midcentury glass. I purchased a couple pink cockatoos, and a pink cat. I continued shopping and found a wood-carved Tiki figurine and a shell necklace to add to my loot. The lady at the counter was bubbly and made me feel very welcome. I am glad Long Beach continues to improve itself by supporting cool businesses, such as this. read more

Consider myself a semi regular customer but one day when i was shopping the blonde woman i think her name is elizabeth, approached me clearly thinking i had intention to steal, talked to me then quickly snatched an apron i had on my arm and said shed hold it in the front for me. Have NEVER ever had a worker SNATCH something from my arm before. At least have decency to ask first. Never coming again. I was in shock when this happened and still treated her politely. This store has a little bit of everything and varying in era from "I had one of those when I was a kid" all the way through "awe... My grandparents had one of those!" It runs the gambit And at great prices!! Vintiquing made easy- Several dealers in one store run by Elizabeth Kobliha (who was/is awesome). Staff was super helpful, friendly & fun. I have found everything from Vintage hankies which I adore to a tea cart, vintage toys/games/phones/tools even & those cool old suitcases we now wish we'd never given away etc etc. My son who is a musician even found a somewhat rare, good working order electric guitar. Really bad service walked in the door and didn't get even a hello. It's the holiday you can say hello one time a year, instead I have someone yelling in the store at me tell me how sorry she is that I did not get the service I excepted to get. Wait, what? Anytime I'm spending my money you are correct a except at less an hello. Now I wanted to but some xmas ornaments that did not have a price. I've been in DT Long Beach for 11 years and when the "big blue box store" moved in, a lot of the charming local shops moved out. Lately they've been coming back, but I had no idea this place existed until I found a flyer for them at another shop. They had so many things I loved and at least two kitchen Items I had to refrain from buying because I don't have the space. The person working that day was so nice and helpful and I love that they took in a very elderly special needs street kitty. They clearly have good hearts as well as a great little shop. read more
