The store is great neat and clean. This location is horrible with fulfilling online orders on a timely matter. Every time I place an order, it takes hours to fulfill, unlike the other locations. Most of the times I just cancel and drive to another location. Another issue is when I did a return for about 4 items, and the associate was opening them up even though they were unused, like trying to accuse me of lying and took forever to inspect the items. Had a last min baking project for my son's school and ordered for drive up curbside pickup at 4:30. I was there at 7:30 and it was not ready. I got out of my car to check the status and the associate literally said orders take up to 6 hours to get filled at this location. They have to bring items from "the warehouse" so it takes longer than other Targets? If that's truly the case, then don't say on the app after the order is processed that it takes 2-3 hours to fulfill orders. He suggested canceling the order and just get the items myself. I'll never do drive up orders again from your location, note to self. read more

What happened to this Target??? It's been awhile since I shopped at Target, but I was completely shocked at how rude the staff were. Many items are not marked well on the shelves. If you ask someone for assistance, good luck getting a customer service oriented answer! You'll likely get no response or a sigh, for disrupting what they are doing. When I finally got someone to respond, they advised me to find a price check station...no eye contact was made. What??? Seriously??? She didn't even point me in the direction of the price check station. Also, I understand the concerns of Covid, but why can't you bring your own bags into the store?? Really, I have to buy a bag or bag myself in my car. Come on!! Isn't that a bit over board? Not impressed with Target! Trashy and unorganized. I don't like going to this Target and for good reason. Its always unorganized and nasty (and not in the way you like it). There also people always loitering in front of the store near the Toyota dealership ( what is up with that?) Anyway, they have one line for all the cash registers.......... SOMETIMES!!! I got in and saw other lines forming behind other cash registers lanes. So I figured there must be multiple lines today, even the women next to me was waiting in a different line and started to put her items in the conveyor belt. When it was my turn, a Target employee rudely and sharply shouted "THERE IS ONLY ONE LINE!!!!!" That same employee then also tried to make the women who was adjacent to me earlier in the other line PICK UP HER ITEMS and wait again. While those two argued, I went back to the "new" line that I "somehow missed* This line was behind some rollable both with another employee standing there with her eyes beaming into dead space, this was just a few feet away from my illicit line. So your telling me that these two employees just stood there and WATCHED several different lines form and then decided to step in ONLY after each line was more than 2 customers long. *sigh* Save yourself the time and headache and go to a different target. I just stopped by to pick up my online order and was VERY displeased to find that they have their online order customers standing in a line outside in the cold of winter. I've been to several Targets this holiday season and not one other location placed their customers outside in the cold. It just doesn't make sense at all that they would have customers who have already paid be subjected to cold weather and discomfort to pick up items we've already paid for. And the security guard, who was standing INSIDE, not in the cold, was defensive and unpleasant, as if I don't have every right to have an issue with their set up. Not cool AT ALL. read more

This Target has gone downhill over the years. It's always crowded now which you wouldn't think so with COVID, but that seems to have brought in the crowds since people have nothing else to do. No one social distances while shopping in there. They think just because they've got a mask they're safe. There is also no clear direction as to where the one line is that people are supposed to be stand while there. It used to be behind the registers, but that's no more since COVID. The new way isn't any better since it's hidden. This location is also located in a very rich-y area and those people are so arrogant, entitled, pompous and rude. The way they drive in that parking lot and the way they walk. They're also rude to you while in the store. Their arrogance and rudeness is off the charts compared to the norm. Because they make an obscene amount of money and live in million dollar beach homes, that apparently didn't teach them any manners or class. It's always like that now at this Target. Just very cold people. All of this has made this such an unpleasant shopping experience. This wasn't just one incident, it's every time I've gone there that I now I have to post a review about that. I'm sure I can't be the only one that notices it, but considering the oblivious people that shop at this location, maybe I am. I tend to have more awareness to behaviors in others around me while others roam around like zombies and ghosts. read more

Went to purchase gift cards for a workplace celebration and after searching all the racks, finally found 15 Target gift cards that I asked the cashier to load $20 each. The gift cards would not load so the cashier replaced them with generic target gift cards but inadvertently loaded 20 cards instead of the 15 I clearly asked for. Since I was purchasing other items as well, I did not notice this oversight until the end, in which I was told that gift cards were non-refundable. I went to the service desk to explain that this was a cashier error, however was told the same by the manager. Manager attempted to void the entire transaction but the receipt would not load. Was given a phone number to call to take care of this myself. Thanks for charging me an extra $100 that I did not agree to, Manhattan Beach Target. Doesn't seem legal to let this happen and then not be able to reverse a cashier mistake. read more

I was injured in the fitting room area earlier today when the fitting room door swung shut and sliced the skin clean off the back of my foot. Was treated like an annoyance and a bother by the multiple staff members in the area, including that one actually instructed me, as I sat there bleeding and in pain, to get the items I had been unable to try on, out of the dressing room, and hang them up at the desk for her. No one asked if I was okay or said they were sorry this happened. The staff acted extremely annoyed that I asked for basic first aid items. And I received sarcastic comments from the staff (one actually said "I can tell this gonna be a great day") and they displayed an unbelievably rude reluctance to assist me in any way. I said repeatedly that I felt they were treating me like this incident was an annoyance to them. This isn't the whole story of their bad behavior, but I am just posting here because this company thinks it's okay to treat hurt visitors like trash and people should know that. I filed an incident report in the store and posted to their threads account as well and they can't be bothered to reach out to even discuss this. read more

This used to be a Greatland Target before all stores were standardized. Now we have either Super Targets and regular Targets. This one became a regular Target but with a lot of space. The Greatland stores were 50 percent larger than a regular Target store. Target Greatland locations offered wider aisles, more and faster check out lanes, a wider selection of merchandise, expanded food section -- but not fresh food -- and introduced pharmacy and photo services. I love this Target. This is my favorite store for daily stuff here in MB. This is also the best Target that I have ever been to. It is always clean and well organized. This store has just about everything that I need. Somehow this Target is never crowded, and employees and staff are super friendly and helpful. Ample parking in it's own lot, and they still give you free bags at the check out counter. What am I saying? Please don't come here and crowd this place up. I'm always able to count on the MB Target to be open when I need something REAL QUICK and it's an emergency. I think it's a little smaller than.. Wow! I totally understand COVID safety issues in place at this store, But the long lines to check out are ridiculous! Target staff is SUPPOSED to be watching for the next available register.....sadly they are not! They are talking amongst themselves and not paying attention! We stood in a big line 12 people ahead of us.....15 minutes and the line is not moving? I went up to the front, the girls are talking about what they are going to do this Friday night, and TWO registers open with cashiers just standing there! Really? I feel like it's weird to write a review about a Target but I got things to say! I know other people feel me on this when I say that there are not very many good Targets in LA. I'm from the Midwest and we have bomb Targets out there. When I moved here I was super disappointed in the awful Targets in LA. This one- is the best Target around IMO. It's large, usually pretty organized & I find the employees to be helpful. I stay away on the weekends caz I feel like the freaks come out. I'm could be a Target-a-holic! Stick me in a Target and a credit card, and I can stay in there for a few hours! bad thing because I use to go 2 times a week and end up buying way too much stuff I don't need. I usually don't like to write reviews on chain and franchise businesses unless it's either out of the world fabulous or out of my world horrible experiences. Now I control myself.. (Ok, I try) except for yesterday, My sister went to this MB location first.. It's been here for decades. Was one of the very first Target. Then we ended up going to the Redondo Beach location on Hawthorne for something else.... Guess we realize that ALL TARGET STORES DO NOT HAVE THE SAME PRICE!! ... Kind of surprised that things are more expensive at the Manhattan Beach location! Is it because its in MB???? A toothpaste or a deodorant could be about 50 cents more at the MB location compare to the RB one. :-( .... as much as I love the MB store, I guess from now on I'll just go to the RB one. It is so annoying to shop at Target anymore. They just limited self-checkout to 10items or less, otherwise you have to use a checker. My experience was like an SNL skit: this woman had a comment for EACH item she scanned for the customer ahead of me and for me. BE AWARE THIS IS THE MOST RACIST TRAGET - I arrived to Target around 8:30pm on a Thursday night. As I was shopping around with my partner & a cart full of items I walked by AP by the name of Josh who dispatched someone into his walkie talkie stating "I have their license plate number". Josh proceeded to follow us and yelled out in front of everyone at the store around us "They already have a case on you". After I heard that I asked "Are you accusing us of stealing?" He then stated "Yes". I asked to speak with his Manager, and the manager of the night was named Irving Setl. I asked Irving Setl "Your AP Josh is accusing us of stealing, could you please tell me what he claims to have a case on me as he stated out loud in the middle of the store?" The manager stated "They can only provide that information to the police." I was so shocked and devastated to know that we were being accused for stealing that I took it upon myself to contact the police. The Manhattan Beach Police Officers who arrived was L. Yepez & Officer Sanches. The officer asked the Target security guards what evidence of theft they have gathered & the target security staff nor manager of the store had absolutely NO evidence to provide to the police officers. The officers confirmed twice & target had NOTHING to provide to the police officers. I was racially profiled, harassed, falsely accused of theft by the Target security staff, manger/ employees. That was absolutely racist of them to treat us that way as we were regulars at this location. After we were harassed, racially profiled, and our civil rights were violated we will never be coming back! They deserve no stars! read more

The short blonde manager bullied me this morning at manhattan beach target Starbucks. I waited in line for a ticket for a pink Stanley cup and when a gentleman gave me his ticket she told me I couldn't get it and HAD to give it to the person in line even though I too had waited in line for over 30 minutes. So basically she just makes up her own rules and I'm sure her and every employee got the pink Stanley cup but denied me because someone was nice and gave me their ticket they did t want. read more

Took my daughter to the restroom and found this disgusting area. It looked at if no one had cleaned for days inside the restroom. No toilet paper, trash was overflowing, floors trashy and the smell inside was horrible. We got out as quick as possible. I found a cashier outside of the restroom and told her the restroom needed to be cleaned. Her response was to ignore us and continue to stand at her register. I walked to the service desk, where I told them the same thing. And her response was they will clean them later. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that I needed to walk to electronics to speak to her, I asked for her to come to the front. But was told no. By this time, I didn't want to wait. I asked that the restroom just needed to get cleaned. I checked later after being in the store over 90 minutes at checkout and the restroom still had not been cleaned. My family and I arrived around 730p on Thursday 4/7/22. As a customer we spend hundreds for dollars at target and the restrooms look so bad. read more

They updated this Target again. Now, in addition to the pharmacy, they have an optical department as well. So -- now you can get optical, pharmacy, grocery, and the normal home, electronics, clothing, that you are used to getting from Target. What I also love are their collabs. They are getting better and better. For the kids I really like the Cat and Jack line. They also have great adult collabs that keep coming out. If you can walk out of Target spending less than $100 - then you are a rockstar! They also have a Which Wich (and it's fabulous!) and a Starby's here too...so grab some food and walk around Tar-jay... read more

So I usually stop in at this Target due to convenience. But after today I think I can go to the other locations. I went to the restroom and toilets weren't working. I tell a team member Joe (saw the name tag) he was very short and snarky with his reply as if I was bothering him. I get other women came to report it. But I said excuse me nicely and proceeded to let him know. I guess he was irritated but I didn't cause it. After when I was finishing shopping to get to the self check out. I was reading the sign to understand where the line actually started the young lady managing the area snapped to say the line started somewhere else. I said that's fine but the it would be helpful to stay near so guests would not have to form lines or be confused where to be to check out. Then she tried to argue. Came in to return an air mattress , was not aware of the no returns on open air mattresses policy . Which is fine , what isn't fine is the two girls who where working in customer service on 9/1 at around 11:30 , they were not welcoming . After I went to get another mattress to exchange it , the girl in customer service insisted on opening up the box . I think she did that so I wouldn't be able to take it back at another target , which I couldn't do even if I wanted to because the receipt says "exchanged item " I would give this place zero stars if I could for the customer service. Who doesn't love Target?! You go in for paper towels and leave with a whole new wardrobe, patio furniture and tons of snacks (and no paper towels)! This location is busy at all hours. They usually have plenty of checkers so the wait isn't too bad. Return line is always long though. Better selection for women's clothing compared to Redondo location, but they usually run out of the smaller sizes fast so if you see something you like, better grab it because it won't be there on your next visit. Their baby clearance end caps usually have great deals from on-line returns (that are usually marked down 30%-50%) because they are typically not sold in their stores. I got my daughter's Britax car seat for $200....that sounds pricy but it's regularly $379! The parking lot is easy to get in but a bit challenging to get out of, especially onto Sepulveda....cars come flying north and are heading downhill too so be careful. read more

Nice inside and i know my reviews going to sound like first worl problems lol but the other targets do grocery pick up in 2 hours, so I expected this one to also. I tried ordering a few weeks ago 3 hours later nothing (ordered 10am on a Wednesday, so slow) so i canceled thinking something was wrong. today I try, 5 hours later its ready. I live near lax, my dads in Manhattan beach with no car so i take him to target. no way i'm driving there at 4pm on a Friday to get his groceries I'll be home at 6, if that. Should have ordered from my target in culver or Westchester like usual but I thought it would be different this time. Also you need to add tipping for grocery pick up. it's a service, we don't pay extra for but it saves us a lot of time and helps people with physical and mental disabilities. Also new moms with PPD, so I appreciate it and wouldn't mind tipping, even a simply $1,2,3 buttons add up when you have a lot of pick up orders read more

By far the worst Target in Southern California. The managers here lie through their teeth. I caught Michael the Team Lead lying several times. Shane in order pickup lied to me and told me he was a manager when he wasn't. Target canceled my order after I arrived to pick it up. They brought my other order out and it was extremely damaged. Michael told me I could "Take it or Leave it." This store is a joke. Might want to check your attitude with your customers. Please do not shop here. Look at the other reviews. The pharmacy at this Target location is rude as they are stupid. I asked for a refund, which I get costed them money but it's too expensive. They claimed to do me a favor (without argument). I merely commented politely that the receipt itself mentioned refund regardless. I realize it's the CVS pharmacy and not Target, yet they kept repeating over and over again how they're part of Target. The receipt it was refunded (Target) still start. Anyway, I got the refund even with howling and over dramatized idiotic staff, needless to say, they get 2 stars. Just literally joined the "circle". I have shopped at this location for many many years but I needed something that was not in stock. I ordered online as a pick up. I thought it said it would be 2 hours until ready. I was in the area 2 hours later and no notification so I assumed they were busy. Just now maybe 7 hours later, I received an email that the item was NOT available at this location. So okay things happen. It said I could try to have it delivered for free (it was an inexpensive item). I clicked yes. Then it asked for my address (which is in my account info btw) and I said it was the same as my billing address. IT LITERALLY would not accept this. So NOW I have to pick it up at the ugly (in my opinion) redondo beach location. So much for ease of order, pick up or delivery. My circle account seems to not have helped me at all...So disappointed in Target. read more

Trying to get a carry out is so hard here! They look at you like you're a freak. I might look healthy and strong but I have arthritis in my lower back. Once Otto came to my rescue to help me that helped me to give a 2 stars instead of 1 star. This was before COVID19. Today is a new day and they called for take out help once again I waited and waited and no one came to help so I walked to the exit and asked another employee and she did get someone... a lazy guy to help. Guess what he did? He pushed my cart to my car and said " here you go" and he was about to walk away. I said "oh no honey I could've pushed the cart myself. Had another great experience tonight aside from a very rude customer arguing with a manager I think her name was Dawn about target not price matching Amazon... It surprises me how well Target employees handle these guests because I'm not sure I would fair as well. Tonight this target was clean organized and very well stocked. I found everything I needed and lines weren't long to check out! Our orders have always been correct, the cashiers have been great and the parking has been relatively easy because they have a few reserved quick pick-up spots. The Target app consistently lists grocery items as "available" for delivery, but the Shipt shopper will then inform me that aren't there on the shelves (and even sends a pic to show me the empty shelf). Even while they are telling me the item isn't on the shelf, the app still says it's stocked. Very frustrating customer experience. Do they have stock in the back that hasn't been put on the floor yet? Is the app not working properly in terms of accurately listing what's actually in stock and available? Target needs to fix this problem or they will lose customers. Hard to plan for meals when items listed as available are in fact out of stock. It's like a bait technique to get customers to submit orders. You don't find out things aren't available until the rest of the order is being compiled. I don't have this problem at Von's ever. read more

It is completely outrageous that Target is not abiding by the current 20% capacity guidelines. The parking lot is completely full. No monitoring of the number of customers in the store. Target should be required to abide by the same guidelines as all other retail businesses in LA County! So much for being concerned about their customers and their employees Heath!! This is my favorite Target store in the South Bay, although I go to all of them fairly often. It just generally feels cleaner and staffed with a crew that seems a bit more helpful than the other stores. The only issue that I ever have is that some things like juices and some of our staple kid foods seem to get out of stock here. That can be annoying. read more
