I stop in frequently at this TJ Max. It shares a parking lot with Ralph's and I can do some grocery shopping without moving my car. Finding something to buy is hit or miss, but there can be deals to be found if you get to the store at the right time when merchandise is either brought out or marked down. I found Le Creuset and Staub a few times, but walked out without anything other times. I wouldn't buy cosmetics because of expiration dates though. I haven't had any issues with customer service and find them to be courteous during purchases or returns. It helps to have a receipt within the last 30 days for refunds, or be willing to get store credit for receipts dated older than that. read more

I called in for the viral aesthetician Halloween decor and they had some in stock. The lady was very helpful and put one on the side for me so that I could go pick it up once I got there. She showed me the Halloween decor section, which was pretty big they had a lot of cool stuff there. She was very helpful and the store was very organized. The good: I accidentally found this store when I was eating Mexican food across the street. We came and bought Halloween mugs here for $6 each. They were uberly cute and aesthetically pleasing and trendy. I got ghost ones and two with dogs in costumes. They had so many to pick from! It's definitely the place to go for seasonal decor. The place was pretty well-organized. There were many shoe options organized by size. They also sell some great options for kids' costumes. I never cease to want to buy more than what I came for. The bad: The parking lot felt a bit more run down and seedy. The interesting: The exterior is really tall and high but inside the TJ Maxx ceiling is low and normal. read more

It reads: Dear TJ Maxx Management Team, I am writing to express my concern regarding an unacceptable experience I had while shopping at your Redondo Beach location, situated at 1401 Hawthorne Blvd, on June 6, 2025, at approximately 3:20 PM. During my visit, I was assisted by a cashier named Sonal. Unfortunately, her demeanor was unprofessional and discourteous throughout the transaction, leaving me with a negative impression of your establishment. While placing my items on the counter, I paused to consider purchasing a pair of earrings priced at $9.99. Sonal's remark, "don't forget the earrings," came across as insinuating that I was attempting to take them without paying, which was both offensive and unwarranted. When I clarified that I was deciding whether to purchase them, her attitude remained dismissive. Additionally, there was a discrepancy with a toddler's pajama set that had two different price tags attached--one for $9.99 and another for $6.00. When this was brought to her attention, she consulted her manager, Dulce, who decided that the higher price should apply. I inquired why this was the case, as no other pajamas on the rack displayed two conflicting price tags. However, no effort was made to verify this by checking other items. I couldn't tell you the last time I was at a TJ Maxx even if my life depended on it. Like most people, I fell into the whole ordering everything online. Sure, it is easy, they've even made returns and refunds easy, so that became part of my way of life. And then one day, the need came up: a purchase had to be made on a STAT level and whatever was needed could be found here. And I did. And then some. Their clearance sections are fantastic! Designer brands at discounted prices across the board. I scored lotions, clothing and even accessories at extra bargain buys! I planned on only buying one (maybe two) things. This location is always well organized. They have the clothing racks spaced out a little better than some others do so it doesn't feel as cramped. They also do a good job of staying on top of things after a busy crowd has passed through wreaking havoc the way bargain shoppers sometimes do. Shop earlier in the day for a more pleasant experience. I like discount stores as you can find unexpexted quality things hidden in a pile of stuff. However, when I tried to use the e-giftcard, the new staff was not able to process it properly (I'm not upset about this person) and the supposedly more experienced employee decided my card did not work and told me with the very angry voice that I had to call the company to reissue a new card. Not using this card at all, I was puzzled and left. As I looked into it, I did have the full balance on my card. My husband went back to the store while I was taking care of the baby and got it sorted. It should not have been any issue from the beginning. Poor customer service. Poor team work. I do not plan to go back to this store. Just to provide the general observations to this location other than the service, they greeted and placed the hand sanitizer right inside the entrance and kept things as neat as possible considering the varieties of goods laid out all over the place. I appreciate the effort to keep the place semi clutter-free. The parking is easy as it is part of the shopping area with supermarkets and other stores nearby. It could get a bit crowded but you will find a spot if you drive a bit far down away from the store. read more

Manager here was rude and not helpful. When I asked for help on a price she listed the prices as if she knew all of them from the top of her head. Telling me no Ugg blanket is less than $30 and if listed that way someone changed it. They should double check their stuff then because it looks like someone changed the price on all of them and when you go to pay they will charge you more. read more

My experience here at this TJ Maxx (Redondo) has caused me to never step foot into a TJ Maxx nor shop at one ever again. I was an employee here beginning September 2018 thru February 2020. My father went into a coma on Thanksgiving 2019 and passed away Dec 3,2019...exactly TWO MONTHS AFTER MY FATHERS DEATH on February 29, 2020 I was pulled into the office for a write up that stated I was late to work the week that my father passed away. Not that I didn't show up but I was late. I think I had the best excuse in the world to be late! I'm sorry I can't call God up and stop him from calling my dad home and see if he can fix my dad dying around TJ Max's schedule! I was livid that the next day was March 1, and it took them two months to present this write up to me when I had the worst best excuse... my father died! Before this, I watched most of my coworkers be promoted who were hired literally a year after me while I never was presented the same opportunities as my colleges. I had supreme customer service, great problem solver and was known for my friendly demeanor, and even my managers liked my work as they would always give me one of those stupid cards of recognition that I now see never really meant nor did anything. I never got the chance to grow with the company and when I asked my manager Maria why she said "I never knew you wanted to move up" smh! Really?! Management here sucks!!!!! Albert is THE WORSE, he is sooooo racist... he is completely rude to all Blacks, either if you are a shopper or employee. MARIA jut seemed overwhelmed, I never wanted to bother her because it was so much always on her plate. It took me months to even know that she was in fact was the Store Manager. Albert made his presences appear as if he was the store manager, talk about having serious power control issues. Alicia was the best! She follows the book. She knows the companies policies in and out and if she doesn't she will find out! She was the only Lead that cared about my performance AND WELL BEING! when my father passed she made sure to constantly check in on me both on the clock and off the clock. She is great at her delivery when managing! She knows how to speak to her workers without degrading them... it's not what you say but HOW YOU SAY IT and she's very knowledgeable on how to communicate effectively on what is expected. From proper closing measures, keeping the hangers and the front clean and clear of clutter, and knowing the entire ring process. Nina is awesome in jewelry! I miss Iesha who is such a harrrrd worker! That girl will adapt to any job asked to complete and is super friendly! It took me some time to even post as I moved out the state for a few months and just recently I was in the neighborhood to stop in and say hi to my old coworkers but my experience was so sour here I couldn't even walk in. Like all discount chains of this kind, this store is hit or miss. You may find some great items or nothing at all as inventory is random and changes constantly. The one thing I come here for first is brandname handbags as there is a lot of choice in all colors and sometimes, a bargain can had. Also found a few good wallets here, and higher end hair products. Clothing is terrible at this store, and home goods are better shopped for elsewhere (like the similar discount stores Ross or Marshalls nearby). I noticed that a particular checkout guy there rings things up but keeps "forgetting" to put them in your bag... I don't know what his game is (and it can't be good), but it's highly annoying to have to go back and explain they didn't give you everything -- so make sure you got all your items in the bag before you leave. read more

I really disliked this place for their service. Me and my niece were trying on the princess dresses and a worker came up and said that we couldn't try on dresses. Of course I get it and took it off but the thing is, she gave me this disgusted look and rolled her eyes. That was really rude and I felt as if she should be fired. My favorite brands found here are Free people, Paige denim, Kate spade, Adidas, etc. Its a one stop shop for any kind of holiday shopping. Birthdays, Christmas, Payday (thats a holiday...right?) I don't really seek customer service here because I more or less know what I'm here for. There was one instance where I needed help finding a particular thing I seen on Instagram & there was nobody to help. No biggie. I ended up finding it within my time there, but it would've been cool if I found it in half the time. All in all, this place is great! Returned this heated blanket because it was too small and did not cover me enough for days at work. I got my cash back fast. Then I looked around and found a ton of things! Unfortunately, I was only able to get two items and I think I will keep them. One of the things I bought is missing two samples of oils and also the mist isn't coming out properly so I may need to return it and just buy it later when I have more money. I really like the essential oil diffuser but the most isn't coming out at all. I filled the container to the max line as instructed too.
