Halloween Time!
South B.

This review is for the amount of stock they have. They have tons of inventory ready to go, organized, and available. Tons of decor, Halloween, beauty products, clothes for the season, etc. The cashier I encountered was very helpful and was polite and patient. He was very friendly.

I couldn't tell you the last time I was at a TJ Maxx even if my life depended on it. Like most people, I fell into the whole ordering everything online. Sure, it is easy, they've even made returns and refunds easy, so that became part of my way of life. And then one day, the need came up: a purchase had to be made on a STAT level and whatever was needed could be found here. And I did. And then some. Their clearance sections are fantastic! Designer brands at discounted prices across the board. I scored lotions, clothing and even accessories at extra bargain buys! I planned on only buying one (maybe two) things. I ended up with maybe 15-20 items? ALL OF THEM: DISCOUNTED - some, up to 90% off. Score. A week later a similar need came up, and yeah... I ended up coming back. I'M. A FAN. TJ Maxx now on my radar!

This tjmaxx is great! The check out line was a bit long so i just looked aroumd a little more and the line was gone in no time!

This location is always well organized. They have the clothing racks spaced out a little better than some others do so it doesn't feel as cramped. They also do a good job of staying on top of things after a busy crowd has passed through wreaking havoc the way bargain shoppers sometimes do. Shop earlier in the day for a more pleasant experience. Great staff. Good parking. Excellent prices.

Blanket

Manager here was rude and not helpful. When I asked for help on a price she listed the prices as if she knew all of them from the top of her head. Telling me no Ugg blanket is less than $30 and if listed that way someone changed it. They should double check their stuff then because it looks like someone changed the price on all of them and when you go to pay they will charge you more.

Great selection and great pricing compared to full retail. Cash registers move slowly, however.

The good: I love curated thrift shops like this because the…read moreclothes are already preselected for you and you don't have to dig as deep as you would in places like Goodwill (though Goodwill prices are definitely cheaper). So, there are definitely trendier items here and clothes are organized based on different trends as well (Y2K, designer, vintage, etc). I like the openness and brightness of the store. It resembles its other location in LA. I like that the racks aren't overcrowded with too many items so you can actually slide the coat hangers and look at the items. I got 2 jackets and culotte pants from here. Each were $12.99. The store was very nicely organized and even had an armchair to lounge on. The shoes were in good condition. The bad: I saw several tops with holes, snags or frayed fabric. They don't have healthcare worker discounts like the thrift shop across the street has. The interesting: You can bring in 5 items at a time in the fitting room. One of the workers at the register was on her phone a lot but perhaps she was looking up values/prices of the clothes she was labeling? They do buy clothes here.

Nice spot to find some unique items in a more organized fashion than other secondhand shops…read more Coming to any secondhand shops like this is usually a treasure hunt, sometimes you leave with something good or something you weren't even looking for, but can also leave empty handed. Each 2nd Street is really dependent on the people that sells there so for this location, I usually come here for streetwear or some vintage/Y2K clothing from the bigger brands like Polo or Carhartt. There's a small selection of luxury items but it's nowhere close to their Costa Mesa location, but my friends have been able to find some Chrome Hearts for their collection. I've only sold some stuff here when they run bonuses but even then, don't expect a high price for items. 2nd Street tend to curate it a bit more and it really depends on the buyer they have that day. They are also seasonal so will not really buy shorts in the winter or jackets in the summer, unless that jacket is a piece that they move at any season. I brought a bunch of mall brand shirts, pants, hoodies and jackets, they ended up taking 40+ of my items and it just netted me around $60, with the highest being a skate brand jacket with many fetching only $1. It's just good to help clear closet and have a bit of pocket cash. For the truly unique items or streetwear pieces that I know will fetch a higher amount, I still sell elsewhere. There's also another second hand shop across the street but that place you really gotta dig, but they do offer slightly higher prices and accept many items that 2nd Street does not.

The owner must be my soulmate LOL! We tried very hard not to buy out the whole store they have eclectic clothing that you will never find at Target, Old Navy, department stores you know those boooooring places where moms get kid's clothing. The prices are great!!!! A super intricate embroidery linen top was $30, it looks expensive, yes it is second hand but everything on the rack was in good condition. Jewelry, the rustic kinds with stones and again very detailed designs were $8.99. I will go back and get some iron wall hooks, they are in the shape of animal and sea animals and in various sizes, most are 1 hook but they have the multiple ones I have to measure our space and go back. They had the coolest rustic Ugg boots with a strap that wraps around with a metal bead at the end of leather strap I wanted it but it was too big. They were in very good condition. The men's rider boots are so cool, there is nothing sexier than a man with worn out cool boots. You guys all need to stop wearing Sketchers you aren't 5 anymore I promise you will get more chicks if you don't wear running shoes. If you are wanting a cool make over then go there and ask the nice lady there to find an ensemble for you she's so nice and so helpful! They have kids stuff too for cool kids! And what's so fun about these places is there will always be new things, I would love to have the job of finding things to sell here. I love vintage finds at estate sales but this owner did all the legwork for me and brought them all here!!! Can't wait to go back, I'm an Atomic Junk junky!!!!

There are a ton of really stylish, funky, colorful artsy pieces to bring flair to your life or you! There are tons of goodies to help you communicate your vibe! I love stepping into the store getting lost in the retro gems mixed with the nostalgic inner child funtastic finds! They also had some sunny yard artwork outside! I can't wait to go back!

My favorite part of this stock is the sales/ clearance room, it's large and always has great finds.
