I'm thinking it's because the regional manager is here... so this person get's first dibs on all the good stuff. Off the top of my head I've seen Ed Hardy (hhahaha, yes unfortunately it's here too), True Religion (if you're into that kind of stuff), Coach, Michael Kors, Elie Tahari, .. can't remember what else. Definitely give this store a try. Plenty of parking. Everything is organized.. and it doesn't look like a hurricane blew through here. On a totally random visit to TJ Maxx, I was on a bag hunt, because I'd met a fellow commuter who had the BEST hold-all work bag I've seen in a while. And where'd she get it? She literally leaned over and whispered, "TJ Maxx." Tantamount to a "Mufasa" whisper, seriously. Anyway, I headed straight for the bags section, which was extensive. At least four rows worth of brand name bags hanging, along with a whole wall section. I held three up and walked around with them, actually receiving feedback from the other ladies looking for similar items. I ended up swapping bags with one lady, and I got a great bag that can fit my laptop, study books, wallet and accessories, and probably my lunch -- all for $20! Even better, I found some really cute fingerless gloves that convert into mittens for $7.99. I thought I was done shopping, and then I saw a purple shoebox that I know oh so well. Madden Girl. Ohhh, black wedge booties. Hold on, $29?! I didn't find a lot of great clothing pieces, though there were a few coats that caught my eye. But, if they've got a good bag and shoe collection, I'll be going back soon. I made it out with all three items, really having only spent about $25, thanks to a gift card I'd been holding on to from a previous return. This tj maxx was one of the worst department store experiences of my life. The older lady at the dressing room attendant was either rasict or showed discrimination towards me. I was treated vary unfair and I ended up returning the cloths that I purchased simply because of the customer service. I plan on writhing to cooperate about the incident and the way I was treated. I usually would not go to these extremes because it was busy and I work in customer service and this is not a way to be treated. I will come there in the near future to get the store number, managers on duty name, and the room attendants name. I feel horrible and would not recommend this store to anyone and I would subject they go down the street to ross. read more

I was going to give this location a 1 star because of what happened today at 6:45pm, but I love TJ Maxx. I am aware this store closes at 7pm now, but I desperately needed new pillow cases and got there before 7. I was happy I made it before they closed but unfortunately the woman at the door by the name of Alicia did not let me in the store. I told her it wasn't 7 yet and to please let me in and she said she could not let me in because there were too many people in the store. Every store needs to know how many people they have so this does not happen. She could have let me in as soon as someone walked out. I was really upset because I got there before closing time and she told me I could not go inside. The obsession with TJ Maxx as a "bargain" brand sometimes confounds me, especially when it comes to the purses. They stock brand names, (of course costing less than the retail pricing), but it's still a pinch to have to consider shelling out $40 - $100 for a nice-looking bag. And I'm not at all insistent on brand names. The selection of clothing is immense, but volume does not always equal awesome. More often than not, I scour the store for professional items and come up empty-handed. Or, I find a nice suit but am disappointed by rather odd sizing...or, maybe the suit fits but I prefer the two-piece to come with pants and not a stupid pencil skirt. ....Or, I get pissed because I cannot even find black dress pants for under $25. That being said, I've found some great deals on electronics merchandise. Really, it's the only reason I care to visit this store. I also found a $7 Billabong sun dress once. read more

We passed by here to kill time before lunch. The place was very clean and the lady behind the jewelry counter was super attentive. I am not sure if we just came on a good shipment day, but they had lots of inventory of pretty much everything I was looking at. I noticed myself coming here more and more often. I really like the wide selection of products they have from work out gear, dressy clothes, casual, shoes, and beauty products and much much more. The price is really reasonable too! They are marked down if the retail price just about everything in the store. Also, the staff is mostly friendly too. Which is always nice. Manager Maria is really unprofessional. I purchase a lot at her store (I'm a very loyal customer). I recently bought a pair of pants that didn't fit me. I went to return them and she accused me of changing the tags? So I stood my ground and told her maybe it's the store that didn't ticket the item properly. She then to tried to scare me by saying she would have loss prevention review the video footage. I welcomed it. She took my pants and my receipt and promised to phone me by the end of the day.. well 5 days later no call. I called back and spoke to a very nice lady named Virginia. She told me Maria thought I returned them, since the pants were sitting in the back - meaning she forgot I previously left them with her. Incredibly unprofessional. What manager forgets all this and then insults my integrity by claiming I would go back to the store behind her back and return an item? I will never shop at that store nor any other tj maxx store. For Maria to make such an assumption is not proper customer service and it doesn't reflect well on the brand. I have not had a good experience at this store in particular and it's largely because of the unprofessional customer service experiences I've had. read more

The selection here is what is to be expected. Some times you can find hidden gems. My biggest complaint is the long, long, very long lines. We stood in line for 15 minutes to purchase a bath mat. Let's keep it rolling. Ain't nobody got time for that. read more

I love TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Marshalls and frequent those stores at least 5 times a month. I've also been to all of them in the area. This one only gets 3 stars and this is why - while it is a large store and kept clean, it is disorganized and they have a really poor selection. If you are looking for young boy's clothing, go elsewhere - there is literally half a rack to choose from - yet they have a ton of girls clothing. If you are looking for activewear, good - because half the clothes in the store are activewear. But if you are looking for Misses or Women's clothing, you won't find anything here. They mainly stock activewear and juniors. The other bummer is that they have a TON of space in this store but it is not utilized well. The store is not organized well and so it's hard to find the clothes you are looking for. They also have almost no furniture or decor, whereas it is crammed to the hilt in the other stores in the area. I don't understand this store - they have a lot of potential- but for now I will go to the other TJ Maxx stores in the area until they can get more boys and misses clothing. read more

Terrible service. The Filipino/Asian manager has no customer service etiquette. She tries to act pleasant but is not. I stopped by to return an item with the receipt and would not let me return a gift I bought my daughter. I explained I bought it 45 days ago as a gift but the birthday was a week ago. This TJ Maxx is seriously lacking in their women's selection. The other day I tried to find a semi-formal/formal dress for graduation, and I couldn't find anything but 1 or 2 hideous dresses in my size. The fitting room lady was really nice and even apologize they don't have much selection in terms of dresses. The customer service is superb here though. Go down a few blocks to Nordstrom Rack. The price there is not as cheap as TJ Maxx, but at least you have way better selection. read more

This is one of my favorite store not so much because of the brand but the way this store is organize and the staff always greet and offer help. This store is also convent since it's the only retail store in this shopping center. I also like the idea of the store not having to share the space with another retail store which we know that can get crowned and become a headache on the weekend. Don't ever buy food items here! Was returning rancid caramel popcorn and they refused to refund it as it was open. Since it was open, they told me that could not put it back on the floor. I pointed out that you could not put it on the floor as it was bad. I indicated this was poor customer service. I have no idea how you would know a food item was bad unless you tried it. Tj maxx is a great place to get kids toys for Xmas and birthdays all are clearance pricing and they have a pretty good selection. The staff here is not very friendly or helpful. The carts they have have automatic locking wheels so you can't bring the cart to your car. read more

What strike me most was that he had on all white attire with a beautiful red scarf, clean cut, and very pleasant. I told him that he was so charming and professional he should be manager. The staff is super nice!!! The managers, ehhh. To me, they seem like they're so superior to the staff. Even though I realize the issue is with corporation, I can't really talk to them and I know the managers have nothing to do with it but it's like, come on. One of the better TJ maxx stores. I can always find something here to buy. I personally do not care for their clothes, but the jewelry section and handbag selection is great.
