While looking for a new makeup foundation I came across great reviews for an online only Costco one, so obvs I had to try it out. JUNGSAEMMOOL Essential Nude Cushion Bundle (a compact with 2 refills). Ordering online was easy, the hard bit was which colour I needed without being able to physically test it. However, I knew I could return it easily with the Costco return policy so I ordered 2 different colours and returned one to this store without any problems. Just showed them the order number from my email confirmation and gave them my Costco card and it was done. I love this foundation, it is easy to apply, moisturising, doesn't change colour, and best of all it has SPF 50! Yay! read more

To the management here and shoppers to be aware, I am writing to formally report an unacceptable incident of poor customer service and unprofessional behavior by an employee at the exit door. While leaving the premises, the employee--woman name Ravan--completed the receipt check. Rather than handing the receipt back to me with basic courtesy or respect, she discarded it directly (throwing my receipt) onto the ground, that I had to pick it up when she was supposed to pick it up after throwing it down to me. Her unacceptable action was dismissive, disrespectful, and completely unbefitting of someone representing your establishment. This kind of behavior creates a hostile and degrading environment for customers. I expect a prompt review of this incident and appropriate retraining or disciplinary action to ensure other patrons are not subjected to such disgusting customer service in the future. I'd like to take this to headquarters. Let the CEO know to train that employee much better. She is absolutely horrendous. read more

Trying to reach someone on the phone is next to impossible. The phone rings and rings going back to the menu after 10 rings. I waited through 5 cycles, hung up, then tried again 20 minutes later - same result. I got an online report saying my card was lost or stolen. I was holding it in my hand so I do not understand why I received such a report. I want to get things clarified before having to make a physical trip to the store. read more

Costco Wholesale - Current Gas price at this location - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Hawthorne, California

Costco Wholesale of Hawthorne on Hindry Ave. is a very busy location with a wide selection of items and dedicated workers. I appreciate that I was treated as a valued member on my last visit while I needed assistance in several departments. More than one team member was able to assist me on my trek through the warehouse clothing department, pharmacy, and fine jewelry area. I was able to submit my prescription at the pharmacy with the knowledge that I would be sent a text message in less than an hour when my order was ready. I love this option, as I am able to shop and check-out, all while my rX is being prepared. I was assisted in the clothing department by wonderful team members that opened several cases of clothes for me so that I was able to get a needed size. No complaining, no heavy sighs, no eye rolling - just smiles and kindness as they helped me and wished me a good day. The fine jewelry department was another hit with my husband and I. Here we were assisted by a team member, as well as a manager, since it was a fine jewelry purchase that had to be unlocked and verified. My husband was able to purchase a previous gem ring with diamonds for me at a wholesale price, when it would have been several hundred more at a chain jewelry store. I felt extra special that team members were giving me a thumbs up and smiling when they saw what my husband was gifting me. I feel spoiled, to be honest. Finally, the pharmacy was the final stop. The pharmacy staff are kind and dedicated to making sure that your visit is smooth and that you are safe with your prescription, new or refilled. Team member Chris at the pharmacy is always a face I look forward to, as he remembers many customers by name and face, and is a welcoming smile. There is handicap parking located in front of the doors on all sides of the building near the front door. Wheelchair access is easy and smooth, and the staff is welcoming at the entrance. The noise level is mid for being such a large warehouse and staff is always willing to assist. read more

This is the Costco that I shop at most frequently. Since they remodeled their gas station, it's been easy to fill up without waiting in long lines. Parking can be a challenge on the weekends, but going early as an Executive Member during the week is not too bad. I've called this location when searching for a specific item and they've been helpful over the phone. The returns line can get busy, but not as bad as the Torrance location. There are frequent markdowns and I enjoy walking down aisles looking for prices ending in .97 or .00. Staff have been friendly and willing to assist when asked. read more

came in on a Saturday and, as always, it was packed. This was a good day for Costco shopping though. They had a bunch of free samples to fill you up. This was the most expensive haul I have ever spent at Costco. read more

Costco is evolving with a pre-scan of carts and self-check out to process customers quicker. The self-check in with the membership card scan lets people in quicker. The only annoying aspect is the Costco staff earmarked to approach customers to upgrade their memberships to earn a 2% rebate etc with their sales pitch. The cell/mobile phone carriers are easy to ignore in the store 'tho they are annoying. The home repair and solar panel pitches are also easy to ignore and seem like a bit of a hustle in approach but not too aggressive. read more

Visited Costco this morning and you really gotta love that executive membership benefit of early entrance hours BUT is it just me or have prices gone up a little. Usually we go in for roughly the same items and end up leaving spending around $120 or less. Today 1/3/26 roughly the same items $160. Hmm I think the tariffs are finally catching up or its beginning to catch my attention....I now say Hello and ouch! Overall Costco is still the cheaper bet for toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, water, farmed salmon, meats, produce so I'll try not to balk too much but WOW! read more

This Costco sucks because it's literally SO goddamn busy It takes me FOREVER to reach someone at the optical department. Best time to go to Costco is on a non holiday weekday before 12pm. I was able to slide in to get gas without waiting for a spot to open up (this doesn't happen often). Keep your vibrational energy positive and you'll be able to find a parking spot quickly too. All Costcos are busy, but I find this location the most tolerable to navigate parking. Inside, the self checkout line is always efficient (furthest away from the entrance/exit). You can always price match if something goes on sale within 30 days of purchasing. Everything is tracked through your membership card and through the app. I find that there's a bit more Asian brand selection here compared to the Marina del Rey location. read more

On our trip to Southern California, we basically needed to go here for gas and not the store. It is a safe bet that the gasoline prices in Costco will be competetive to other stations in the area...and that is a fact you can rely on... Not much to say, except its just like other Costco gasoline locations...you find the shortest line (perferably one that aligns with your gas cap, be patient, insert your membership card followed by your payment card, and pump gas). Was that a Tesla that just passed me on the right...? Noob, probably... read more

There is no extension for the Bakery section. I have questions regarding cake types. Do you bake gluten-free products?

It was my first time shopping here. A 50 year old man kept following me around and hitting my left foot with this large orange metal pole. I had to keep telling him to stop it. But he was circling around and would keep standing behind me purposely The same man then tried to cut me in line as well The manager had to walk me to my car. The cherry on top was when the exit worker who checks the receipts kept insisting I didn't pay for the $16 ostrich bone dog chew and I had to keep telling her I did and had to show her exactly where it says "dog bone" on the receipt. read more

UPDATE 1: Review #50 2025-059 Ok Costco... you're due for an update. I no longer frequent this Hawthorne location because I'm no longer work in Playa del Rey, Westwood, Marina del Rey for almost a decade; however, my esthetician is in El Segundo so I may make a couple of visits during the year. I actually prefer this Hawthorne location over Torrance for its unique stock & roadshows like Natural Benefits Mango Passion Fruit Coconut Juice (wish this was a permanent item... soooooo refreshing), Tastelli Drinkable Konjac Jelly (low calorie, sugar-free snack that's infused with collagen, antioxidants, & vitamins), Arnott's Tim Tam Original Cookies (love this Australian chocolate biscuit... best eaten frozen or "Tim Tam Slam" style), Tillamook Pepper & Habanero Jack Sliced Cheeses (give your sandwiches some spicy zing), Blue Lizard Mineral Sunscreen (excellent coverage, superb option for sensitive skin), Yuki & Love Boba Milk Tea Mochi & I Mei Brown Sugar Boba Ice Milk Bars (this was a fad a couple of years ago), White Rabbit Ice Cream Bar (really tastes like the candy except in ice cream form), Mehdi's Himalayan Chicken Salt (awesome salt substitute... adds extra oomph on chicken & egg salad), etc. I figured with their frequent turnover of produce that most should be fresh, but I've infrequently get a batch of moldy fruit here; it's kinda hard to spot with that layer of absorbent pad (wicks excess moisture). Or some veggies (carrots, romaine lettuce) going bad within a couple of days after purchase. I hate that they no longer offer shopping cart wipes, but it's understandable given the influx of customers & COVID-19 no longer a thing (likened to the flu). When you enter, you're required to scan your membership card instead of visually showing it, which makes it easier to catch those that expired & handle it at customer service instead of holding up the register. Still picking up the general staples, but I try not to purchase cold/frozen items due to the longer drive, especially during the summer. Costco offers good value for food & merchandise; for the food quantity, you need to either eat it pretty quick or have a spare fridge to store bulk food items. Parking is sufficient for the times I'm here so I don't have to circle around or stalk customers leaving the lot. However, I find it challenging to turn left on Hindry Ave. when exiting the parking because of heavy congestion, except for that direct exit with a signal light that enters the 405 Fwy. heading south. On my way out, I was informed that Executive Members can now enter an hour earlier (9:00 AM). That's great for me to go directly (to the Torrance location) after dropping off my son at school instead of waiting another hour. Yay! read more

David, one of the cashiers was condescending and rude. No call for him to speak like that when I was simply telling him that the yogurt is mine and not the person's in front of me. He started to mention how he's been there 23 and just be rude. read more

I do not come to the Hawthorne Costco very often. I went on a rainy Saturday, which is probably the toughest time to visit. Parking was hard to find and the lot was packed. Once I got inside, the layout felt a little different compared to Marina del Rey and Inglewood, so it took a moment to adjust. Even with those challenges, it was still the familiar Costco experience. Busy, but efficient. The staff kept the lines moving, and the shelves were well stocked. Once you settle into the flow, you can find what you need. It was an okay experience overall, with the main issues tied to timing and crowds rather than the store itself. read more

******** B AD ______ V I B E S ********* Negative return experience w/ Cristina: I purchased a Spiderman costume for my grandson. When I got home my son in law calls me and says "hey nana there is supposed to be a Spiderman face mask that comes with the costume!" I replied.. "I grabbed it off the rack and didn't realize a mask came with it" ... I called and spoke with George @ Torrance Costco who told me "no problem.. simply come down and you can return and buy the correct matching set"...however .. when I arrived at the Costco Return counter in El SEGUNDO .. the employee Cristina explained that ... "IT WAS MY FAULT for not checking the merchandise and said she would take my return ... JUST THIS ONE TIME!!!" I answered "how would | even know that the mask was missing when this is how it was being sold on the rack?!!!" I also explained that I spoke with George at the Torrance Costco store and he said no problem .. there are more size 3/4 no worries! Cristina then tells me while shoving the costume across the counter to me.. there is no GEORGE here ... "I can't help you ! " I believe that CRISTINA is a disservice to Costco by treating loyal customers like myself (that has been shopping at Costco 3-4 times a week for over 25 years) with such a negative and unhealthy attitude. Her dislike for her job and not wanting to help people is a bad reflection on Costco. It's people like her that make me want to avoid this place of business. I hope her lack of professionalism is something that Costco will take seriously in this situation. I am a grandmother of 5 and a family of 13.. never have I ever been treated this way at Sam's Club .. I reported her to 2 supervisors before leaving the store. I hope for the sake of other customers ...action will be taken so no one else suffers this type of negative * HOSTILE* attitude. read more

I visited this Costco yesterday and found a customer's credit card in the warehouse. Wanting to do the right thing, I approached two employees, including a manager named Glendi, and asked if they could help locate the owner. Both immediately held out their hands and told me to give them the card. When I explained that I wanted to make sure it was returned to the rightful owner, I was told it could be placed in lost and found. What disappointed me most was not the policy itself, but the lack of concern and customer service. No one explained why they couldn't page the customer, offered any alternative suggestions, or seemed interested in helping reunite the card with its owner. The interaction felt dismissive and impersonal. I understand stores may have policies regarding lost credit cards, but a simple explanation and a more professional, helpful attitude would have gone a long way. I left feeling that the situation was being treated as an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to help a fellow customer. read more

The Baseline: For a Costco Wholesale the store must have organized isles, the prices must be well displayed, the offerings must be exciting, and the parking must work in comparison to the entrance. I love this Costco! Well organized and easily accessible. The areas are clean and the staff is friendly, willing to help. I have had several experiences where the Costco staff go out of their way to assist. The butcher is well stocked, the wine and alcohol area always has fun, new finds. The walk in coolers are easy to access. I also always enjoy the seasonal offerings. read more

I realize all Costcos have different items. Outside, Martha wasn't too friendly. Unless she just couldn't hear. But I'm pretty sure her shooing us away to get the next person was her being able to hear. We just needed onions and Parmesan. The lines need a monitor. A lady cut and decided to scream at a man who had the right to be upset. She felt it was okay since she was hangry. Smh. I hope she was satisfied with stuffing her face. She literally walked up from the back of the line. Shame on her Anyhow, the inside is near and packed. The lines went pretty quick. Well stocked aisles. Prices were a lot better at this store than further East. read more

This Costco location is on my way to work. I stop here regularly for gas. When I have extra time if i need anything from the warehouse I will pop inside to get the items. I'm a member and frequent shopper, I'll be back. read more

I purchased a GE refrigerator from Costco in May 2025 and paid around $2,000. Within just 4 months, it has already broken down twice, and both times parts had to be replaced. Right now it is working normally, but I am very disappointed. We do not buy a refrigerator for just a year. When we spend this much, we expect it to last at least 5 years or more, not just a few months. Other than this refrigerator issue, everything else with Costco has been good. I am a regular customer and have even left good reviews in the past. But this experience has been very frustrating and a big disappointment. I truly hope Costco and GE take this seriously because customers deserve reliability when paying such a high price. read more

Annoyed! My thanksgiving dinner was ruined due to old and potentially spoiled meat. Every year I purchase short ribs from the Torrance location, it's never been an issue. This time I went to this location, didn't think anything of it. I checked the packaging, all good, packaged the same day I bought it. When I cooked it 2 days later, the meat was so hard, blue and brown and not eadible. I cook my short ribs yearly in a crock pot a low for 8 hours, they've always been tender. I called the store to let them know and they didn't seem to care. How can I take cooked meats to the store to return it. read more

Customer service is nonexistent at this particular Costco. I'll just go to Walmart for my detergent.

This location is chaos! ...in a good way I think. Their shelves are fully stock. The parking lot is always full. The only problem I have encountered is the traffic leading to the store and the parking lot. It's your typical Costco lines, but I was able to find what I needed. The prices are decent, not over the top. The employees appear to be friendly. No complaints. read more

Costco has this guy wearing his son's dirty steeler jersey, walking around with his little machine, that's supposed to help the lines move faster. This is solely based upon the restroom. I'm not sure how often they clean their restrooms, but I just went to Costco in Hawthorne and their restrooms are filthy. Not just one stall, but several. Unexpectedly found a vanity light for about half the price than at a hardware store. Also saw bathroom faucets (Kohler) for $40 less than at a hardware store but they were sold out. I asked an employee in a red vest near the cash registers to check what other locations may have two of the faucets. She told me Marina del Rey had more than 30 in stock. I asked if the faucets were available online & she checked & they were available but the price was almost 2.5 times more than what we saw in store. The next day we contemplated making the drive to Marina del rey but with work & other obligations, I was reluctant to make that drive. I first called the location to check if they had sufficient number on hand to make sure we will not drive in vain. But it was too early so nobody answered the phone. As I had to wait to call, I decided to check onine just out of a whim & the in-store price was listed! I told my husband about it & he immediately ordered two faucets online for the sale price. We were very happy they had the same sale price online & we didn't have to make the drive. He faucets will be delivered in about a week so we are happy campers. read more

They gave a bs excuse about the vendor gives them a hard time, but claims they can honor it if I can provide that proof.
