The treatment we received felt like racial profiling, and it was both embarrassing and hurtful. Rather than feeling like valued customers, we felt judged and singled out. Despite the uncomfortable atmosphere, I still made a purchase and bought a pair of earrings. However, that purchase was only a fraction of what I intended to spend. I came into the store fully prepared to buy multiple items and would have gladly spent considerably more. Instead, the employees' behavior completely discouraged me from continuing to shop. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that the store lost out on a much larger sale because of the way my daughters and I were treated. Customers should feel welcomed, appreciated, and respected--not scrutinized and judged. Had we been treated with kindness and professionalism, I likely would have purchased several additional items and returned in the future. I also noticed several other potential customers walk into the store and quickly leave without making a purchase. Customer service plays a huge role in whether people choose to shop and spend money, and unfortunately, that was severely lacking during my visit. I have never felt so profiled while shopping before, and it was a deeply upsetting experience. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable because of their appearance, race, or background. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides better training to ensure that all customers are treated with respect, dignity, and professionalism. They had a $1 pile, meaning items they were willing to pay me one dollar for. And then they had a 10‑cent pile, meaning they were willing to pay me ten cents for certain items. Yes, ten cents. For 10/12 pieces, they offered me around $6.30. It was laughable. Actually laughable. So if you're looking to sell your items for dirt cheap, this is the place. On a lighter note, they did have a lot of nice things for sale; secondhand, some new, some designer, really great quality pieces at good prices. I got a really nice pair of green cargo pants for $12. I recommend for shopping NOT selling.

The owner Alicia and staff Giannina are especially kind. I once came in to consign on a very stressful and overwhelming day. I had just found out that one of my senior kitty has cancer. At my appointment to consign, I had brought in X number of items. Once the store made their picks and returned the rest, I was sure that they gave me back one item short. Flustered, I was looking all around and feeling more stressed. Giannina was so kind. She seems to have sensed that maybe there was something else upsetting me. To calm me, she showed me their back work area floor, the hanger areas so that I could see my item wasn't dropped anywhere. She then walk with me to my car and helped me check if I dropped it there. Later, she very nicely told me that I probably dropped it at home and that if they see the item I describe later, they will surely give me a call. Turned out, I did drop the one item at home when I rushed out of the house for the appointment. I just really appreciate they way they treated me that day, both Alicia and Giannina. Besides my personal experience with them, I find their consignment process very easy. You have 3 options: 1) Consign and get 50% of the selling price which will reduce as the item sits longer in the store, 2) Trade and get 50% in store credit, or 3) Sell the items to them at 30% which they will pay you by check. Every time I come in, they will tell me about all these options and explain the process. You can check your balance on their store website and picking up a check for your balance is also very easy. This is my haven for retail therapy that feeds my thrify soul! Alicia has always been the most sensitive person -- sometimes I just need to touch stuff and be quiet, other times I've enjoyed a good chat-- and she always knows when to chat and when to smile and let me shop. The intake team is very picky and they know their fashion -- they offer a broad array of styles in great condition from locals who are ready to share it all forward...and there is never a hint of uppityness from anyone on the sales floor. I find great belts, handbags, and shoes here (even with my 5.5 feet) and I also have built a wardrobe that is top notch. I spend part of my time in another state and I long for a store like Return Engagement there -- the one store that was similiar....well, as I explained to the owner of that store...they're doing it wrong. This is a place you go to sell your old clothes or buy used clothes. I feel the need to write this as a warning to anyone wanting to sell their items here... DONT GO. I came here with literally almost $1000 worth of lightly used dresses and tops that I didn't care for anymore, totally up to date with fashions and in perfect condition for everything... THEY OFFERED ME 9 DOLLARS FOR EVERYTHING. Come here if you want to get rid of clothes for DIRT CHEAP. They will give you pennies for what you bring, and they only accept about half of the things you bring in anyway. These people are definitely here to make a fat profit off of your discarded clothes. Just give your stuff to goodwill, THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH IT. You'd make more money for your used clothes selling them on a sidewalk corner out of a biglots shopping cart than taking clothes here to sell. Y'all been warned. Wow what an amazing store, great selection, and get this ladies you get a personal shopping experience from this gal, I REALLY NEEDED help they have a woman in there, she is truly amazing,never met me, and put together some outstanding outfits. I also noticed that other customers were getting her expert attention, and leaving with some fantastic clothing. Instead, they offered nothing. That's not how a small business should operate. Customer satisfaction should be a priority, but clearly, it isn't for them. In contrast, I've experienced amazing customer service from other small businesses--like one that let me return a set of organic sheets after 90 days simply because I didn't like them. That's what customer care looks like. This business, however, operates with deceit, blame-shifting, and zero accountability. As I did so, another guy with a scowl was waving me not to enter. I followed his directions then told him I wanted to donate the tile. He curtly asked if it was new. I told him it was new. He briefly glanced at it and said with a negative attitude he wouldn't take it. He was very rude and clearly didn't want to deal with taking the material.
