Did the name change? http://www.yelp.com/biz/vintage-clothing-hermosa-beach Good! I like "Granny Takes A Trip" better than "Vintage Clothing". Gawd, I had so much fun in here today!!! How much fun was I havin'? I was in the shop so long I got a parking ticket & I didn't even care. Much. Ordinarily this place is cheap, but before Halloween the prices appear to be seriously jacked up (deducting one star for that).....and that's how I ended up spending $118 on this year's costume. And my feet will be killin' me thanks to vintage boots that hurt, but I stand ready to suffer, all for the sake of glorious Halloween. The proprietor and I had the store to ourselves, and she kept bringing stuff to me (good salesperson)....and everything I tried on fit perfectly. I took this as a sign that I should just buy all of it. What am I gonna be for Halloween this year? I'm not telling! Give ya a hint: I'll be wearing a badge. Maybe packing heat. Go ahead, make my day.

SOOOO MY VIBE!!!!!! My 13 year old daughter found this…read morestore and asked me to take her she said I would like it too, she was wrong I love love love love love this place I want everything in the store! The owner must be my soulmate LOL! We tried very hard not to buy out the whole store they have eclectic clothing that you will never find at Target, Old Navy, department stores you know those boooooring places where moms get kid's clothing. The prices are great!!!! A super intricate embroidery linen top was $30, it looks expensive, yes it is second hand but everything on the rack was in good condition. Jewelry, the rustic kinds with stones and again very detailed designs were $8.99. I will go back and get some iron wall hooks, they are in the shape of animal and sea animals and in various sizes, most are 1 hook but they have the multiple ones I have to measure our space and go back. They had the coolest rustic Ugg boots with a strap that wraps around with a metal bead at the end of leather strap I wanted it but it was too big. They were in very good condition. The men's rider boots are so cool, there is nothing sexier than a man with worn out cool boots. You guys all need to stop wearing Sketchers you aren't 5 anymore I promise you will get more chicks if you don't wear running shoes. If you are wanting a cool make over then go there and ask the nice lady there to find an ensemble for you she's so nice and so helpful! They have kids stuff too for cool kids! And what's so fun about these places is there will always be new things, I would love to have the job of finding things to sell here. I love vintage finds at estate sales but this owner did all the legwork for me and brought them all here!!! Can't wait to go back, I'm an Atomic Junk junky!!!!

This is more of a retro vintage store and what makes this place different is that they don't just collect donations, the owner actually hits the road sometimes and brings back really cool finds from other areas. There are a ton of really stylish, funky, colorful artsy pieces to bring flair to your life or you! There are tons of goodies to help you communicate your vibe! I love stepping into the store getting lost in the retro gems mixed with the nostalgic inner child funtastic finds! They also had some sunny yard artwork outside! I can't wait to go back!

I've been a customer at this store for about two years now, and I wanted to share my recent…read moreexperiences that really stand out to me. Over the past year, l've noticed a big improvement in how things are run, and I truly think the new store manager deserves credit for that. In previous years, when I brought in clothes to sell, my experiences with some of the buyers felt very unprofessional, in fact I had multiple bad experiences with one of the female buyers that I notice still works there. She was very rude and condescending and now when I come in to sell I specifically don't want her to attend me. However, this year has been a completely different story. The newer buyers seem much better trained, more organized, respectful, and clear in how they take care of their customers. The whole process feels smoother and more customer-focused now, which makes a huge difference. In fact, today I had a question about the pricing of some of my items and the new store manager was very helpful and I left feeling very happy! Because of these positive changes, I actually look forward to bringing items in again, and I feel more confident in the process when working with the newer staff. Overall, I'm glad to see the progress and hope it continues in this direction. I have also recommended this location to my family and friends and they love the store!

The good: I love curated thrift shops like this because the…read moreclothes are already preselected for you and you don't have to dig as deep as you would in places like Goodwill (though Goodwill prices are definitely cheaper). So, there are definitely trendier items here and clothes are organized based on different trends as well (Y2K, designer, vintage, etc). I like the openness and brightness of the store. It resembles its other location in LA. I like that the racks aren't overcrowded with too many items so you can actually slide the coat hangers and look at the items. I got 2 jackets and culotte pants from here. Each were $12.99. The store was very nicely organized and even had an armchair to lounge on. The shoes were in good condition. The bad: I saw several tops with holes, snags or frayed fabric. They don't have healthcare worker discounts like the thrift shop across the street has. The interesting: You can bring in 5 items at a time in the fitting room. One of the workers at the register was on her phone a lot but perhaps she was looking up values/prices of the clothes she was labeling? They do buy clothes here.

Uptown Cheapskate is this fully stocked, stuffed to the brim, place to grab your vintage clothing…read more This shop really has a lot of clothing! I mean, really a lot! They have tons of a little bit of everything. They have tons of women's clothing, tons of men's clothing, tons of T-shirts, and a whole lot of shoes. Really! A lot of shoes! The store is what I would say is a step above shopping at a thrift store. What they do here is, offer the best of the best of vintage clothing. So, when you go in here, you know you're going to find high-quality items. This is not to say that they're cheap. For some, their prices may be considered a little bit high. But, again, what you're getting is the best of the best of vintage clothing, and sometimes you have to pay for that privilege. Depending on what you're looking for, this store may very well have it. From my experience, this store is most commonly geared towards a younger audience. They have tons of T-shirts, jeans, and a lot of stuff that could be considered on the more casual side of the picture. For example, when I shop a vintage store, I'm commonly looking men's sport coats and suits, and stuff along that line. They really don't have a good selection of these items. This is just something to keep in mind if you're looking for that kind of thing. But, on the other hand, if you're looking for all of the more casual style of clothing, they have a lot of it. Located on Hawthorne Boulevard, this store is fairly easy to find. They have a parking lot in the front and the rear, which sometimes can become kind of full. So, you may have to park on the street. This is because of the fact this store is a very popular shop. A lot of people come here, particularly on the weekends. And, when they have their sales, forget about it. The store is packed. One way or the other, if you're looking for that vintage piece of clothing, that really cool something, that T-shirt that you've been looking for forever, that pair of really cool shoes, or whatever else, this may be your place to find it.

They have all of those items, and more, in abundance. This business is truly a treasure trove offering a little bit of artistic everything. This is a large store right on Pacific Avenue in the central section of San Pedro. The store itself is full of items, but it is still airy and easy to navigate. You can really get lost in looking through all the things they have to offer. The shopping experience here is always a good one. Their staff is very knowledgeable and happy to help you out or to work with you in whatever you need. Overall, the store is a truly unique addition to San Pedro and a great place for anyone to shop.
