Check out the photo of my new dress I just bought......for 10 bucks! It was on the sale rack out in front of the store. I never wear dresses, but I gonna wear this one - it fits like it was made for me. Would you believe the brand is Yippee? Haha, I kid you not. It was love at first sight when I saw her there, just hanging out, waiting for me to come along & take her home with me. She was beautiful and she was cheap. She felt so wonderful against my skin.... There's no half star rating offered otherwise I would give them that. Very rude staff that stares at you if you don't fit within the parameters of their sizes. Large is just a tad bit small on me and when I asked for extra large they all gave me looks as if I needed a tent. Very rude and I don't recommend this place if you are a size 14 and up to even bother going inside. Very snobbish women that tend the store. read more

Ribbons carries the same great clothing brands as all the other boutiques in the Riviera Village, at a fraction of the cost! I know this first hand, because my friend and I searched high and low for something navy blue (and chic) to wear to our first LA Galaxy game - you know, to impress David Beckham. Almost everything we saw at other boutiques were double (and sometimes triple) the prices of Ribbons. Needless to say: Save yourself time & frustration, and skip all the other places. Allison is such a kind and attentive associate, and is really helpful in pointing out new items that have appeared in the store, or what to pair things with. Not only is the customer service stellar, but the clothes are pretty snazzy too! Ribbons definitely keeps up with trends, and that's important for ladies of the South Bay (namely, myself). Ribbons continues to weave its distinctive thread through the fabric of the Village (Redondo's small, seaside business and retail community) with Leah's forerunning flair for fashion, fun and creative, community events such as monthly Torrance Beach drum circles and "First Thursday" style strolls first popularized in Portand and Seattle art circles a decade ago. Consider: Not only did Ribbons display funky, creative accessories and affordable fashions the store is known for during the recent Redondo Beach Street Fair, but also dancers and drummers provided original event entertainment and enjoyment. I LOVE this place. I make a point to stop in here every time I'm in the South Bay. I just can't pass it up! Ribbons carries some seriously cute clothes. They can be a bit on the pricey side, but not as pricey as some other boutiques. Ribbons carries Michael Stars and other well known brands, as well as some lesser known brands too. Some of the pieces are more affordable than others, you just have to look around all over the store as there is a lot to see, but just about every piece is adorable. I would say this place isn't really three dollar signs. More like two dollar signs. items reasonable price, clothes are cute and now and then you'll find some gem pieces. I've been to Ribbons a few times and haven't been disappointed. By far this store is the best around in the Riveria. Because let's be real... Every boutique store in the Riveria is catered to anyone over 50 so having Ribbons in the neighborhood is convenient and fabulous for those hip/ beachy trendsetters. read more

I love the clothing, LOVE the prices, LOVE LOVE the assistance (I feel like I have personal shoppers when I'm in there, and I do not feel like I am being sold to...I feel like they are truthfully assisting me in my selections.) This is a little hole-in-the-wall boutique place with really cute clothes. It kinda sucks to find parking here though, since it's on the street where everything is metered, but if you're lucky enough to find a spot that someone else doesn't sneak in and steal from you, you can find some cute things. I usually go here when I want some cute feminine tops, they have lots of plain tops or tanks with lace, etc. Cute stuff for everyday. Ribbons, how do I love thee? You never let me down. If I ever need that cute, sassy top for a girl's night out or the perfect pair of earrings to set off an outfit, you always have it for me. You even have the most adorable shoes for such low prices! I'm just sad that since I've gained some weight I can no longer fit my voluptuous rear into a single pair of your pants. Then again, even 20 pounds lighter, it was rare that I could do that anyway. I'm also confused by your pricing. Some things are so well priced and others aren't. That's okay, though. I had heard a lot of good things about this clothing store so I decided to check it out. I was not greeted when I entered the store...probably because they both were busy helping another client...I grabbed a few average jeans and tops and tried them on. The jeans were great and I found a cute dress. I ended up spending over $150.00. It would have been fine but when I got home, I noticed all the tags, to what I had just purchased, had been removed. I thought that was weird. A few days later I was at another woman's clothing store and found the EXACT same jeans for half the price. WoW! Not all that impressed with this place. I am so disappointed I love the store with such cute things and it a lot of times my daughter bought a dress and it did not fit her well we try to take it back today and exchange it and they notified that they only have a two week exchange policy and pretty much told me Im out a luck with that because they don't waver, even when I told her I had spent the last two weeks in the hospital which is no bullshit, I had to have my gallbladder taken out they pretty much oh well especially the young girl behind the counter I was so shocked. Then they said they would give me half price and I was humiliated with that I said I would rather give the dress to somebody and I'm glad $30 is worth a customer to them. went here to buy a gift for a girl I wanted to get with. They have a nice selection of clothes, shoes, jewelry, jackets, and random accessories. The girls who work there are some of the nicest you'll ever run into in the retail environment. Checked the prices to get a reference on the gift card amount and the prices are really inexpensive, much cheaper than guys clothes, not at all what you would expect from a small boutique by the beach. To write that some staff members at Ribbons are completely clueless about customer service would be a gross inaccuracy. The two women I encountered clearly also lack common sense and simple human courtesy. I have shopped at this boutique in the past and have always been happy to share it with visiting friends because Ribbons does carry an array of cute apparel and accessories. However, this particular time marks the last that I take any friends there or shop there myself. Not sure of the names of the two salesgirls and it's irrelevant anyway but, for them to spend their time in a full-blown conversation and not stop to offer the normal assistance one might expect from a salesperson is simply ridiculous. These two failed to even acknowledge that two human beings had entered the shop. Wow! A quick and simple "Hi. Let us know if you need any help," would actually have been fine. But, these women clearly had a super-important discussion to continue. Maybe they were on the verge of curing cancer or solving the dilemma of world peace. Customers? Shopping? What?? We are soooo busy in the middle of this highly crucial gossip session who cares if you were considering spending money in this shop. And so, that is exactly what my friend and I did...not spend. There are plenty of boutiques in the Redondo Riviera with plenty of nice stuff and plenty of sales reps who actually have common sense and basic human courtesy. I choose to spend my money at those establishments, not Ribbons. Well done, ladies. read more
