My husband and I had the worst in store experience ever at Hobby Lobby and will take our money to other stores going forward. Gaby R had a problem with me the whole time I was in line waiting for check out. There is no clear sign about where customers need to stop or that it's one line for two registers. She kept yelling at us, even though other people did the same thing. Her buddy Ashley jumped in to further yell at us and glare at us. It was an incredibly hostile environment, and we were the only ones who got yelled at. We also happened to be the only Asian family there so I am not sure if that is the reason. read more

This is a very big Hobby Lobby with an incredible selection of crafts -- truly anything you can think of. They also have a huge fabric section, which really sets them apart from stores like Michael's that don't offer nearly the same variety, or any at all. The store is located in a mall with plenty of free parking, which makes visiting easy. The only downside was the closing process: they started announcing the store's closure about 40 minutes before the actual closing time, yet they only had two registers open, the checkout lines became extremely long. read more

I decided I wanted to journal and I came looking for stickers and they literally have a whole aisle just for that . If you're looking to decorate for Christmas or any holiday they are stocked you will find it all here! Their artificial flowers are so beautiful they look so real. This is definitely a crafty store and very affordable. The past couple of times I've been here they've had great sales. And the staff is amazing. Crafting supplies in Hawthorne, California... Our Yelp Hawaii Intern, Sheena, and I just happened to be in Los Angeles at the same time! Was it karma? Somehow, our conversation turned to a high end brand which we could duplicate. Sheena suggested that we go to Hobby Lobby. I had seen the store, but hadn't visited yet. She said that this store would have everything - even the plain sweatshirts that we wanted to decorate! We looked up the nearest location on our Yelp app, drove over, parked quickly and for free in the shared parking lot, found our supplies, and went to work in the clean, neat, air-conditioned store! We asked the cashier if we could borrow a pair of scissors - after we asked to borrow an iron for the iron-on patches. We sewed the patches into place and will iron them on later. This Hawthorne location is not at all comfortable to shop in. They seem to have a high turnover of staff, no one is helpful, they all seem unhappy, and the lines are always long. There were staff standing around today while the lines were long. The staff is rude and get upset when you ask for help, it really feels like racism. They probably should take Christian out of there ad because it feels more like a MAGA attitude atmosphere! read more

Went to hobby lobby this morning 10/11/25. At check out the cashier was really nice about breaking a 100 dollar bill I had, she had to call the manager over to check it and the manager who came was a woman, didn't get her name, but when she walked up to check the bill she looked mad and moved about kinda rough, slightly aggressive opening the draw , grabbing the thing to check it etc. and as she walked away she rudely told the worker "100 dollar bill for 5 dollars" , she made it super uncomfortable, she was unprofessional and rude the way she spoke to the cashier. Parking is easy, as there is a huge lot and this is adjacent to Home Depot - - word to the wise - - try to avoid parking near or in the Home Depot area parking lot, friends of mine have parked there and inherently there's a lot of road hazards in the form of customers dropping nails or screws on the floor of the parking area, so the odds of getting a flat tier is greater by parking or driving through the Home Depot area... so stick with the Hobby Lobby area. read more

Went to hobby lobby tonight around 7:45pm. Since the store closes at 8:00pm I quickly picked up a few items one of which was on this display and proceeded to the nearest register. Upon checkout I realize that my total was a little more than I expected. So I asked the cashier to please check on that item because it was located on a display that said 50% off. She then says that she believes only table decor is 50% off but she'll call her manager to ask her what she thinks. Along comes Cassandra one of the rudest managers I've ever come across. First of all she she completely ignores me. Speaking only to the cashier she confirms that my item is indeed not included in the sale. I then ask her to please go check the display and see that a big 50% off sign was posted right in the middle of that display where 90% of the items are what they called my item "hanging decor" she then said "Well we have to hang signs in the area to advertise the current sale" I said I get it's your job to advertise a sale but wouldn't the signs be less confusing if you put them on or near the items that are actually on sale and not right in the middle of things that aren't on sale? She offered no other explanation and simply walked away. I was in disbelief of how rudely I was treated that I also walked away without purchasing anything. read more

I love going to Hobby Lobby. I love the merchandise, I love the music, I love being greeted at the Front Door and I love the sales. The store is always clean, displays are nicely done and there is always employees to help on the floor. Everything is great until you go to check out. Every time I go, there are 4-5 employees hanging around the cash registers talking among among them selves, meanwhile only one cashier is open. Usually, someone asks for another one to open and their met with empty promises. The wait time to pay for your items is ridiculous! And watch your receipt because they do not scan. They relay on their cashiers to remember the sales and take the discounts. Hopefully, as the holidays approach they will open more check out stands! read more
