7.2.2022 I hate to be less than 100 % but this store needs help . Lots of people in line and only one cashier . By the time I reached the counter -one- more cashier came on duty , 3PM on a Saturday, the store was busy . This new cashier I didn't get her name but she was *very* fast and efficient, kudos . The female manager (I asked) was standing there looking bored with her arms crossed ~ when I ran a business I always jumped in anytime any customers needed assistance . The store didn't look fully stocked, I didn't see any trash or loose items on the floor . I was able to get in and find my items easily, good parking out back, not so good in front . There waas two cashiers open, A line of at least 6 people, one of the cashiers closes her line to gget in linE with her family members that were shopping, I assume to ise her diScount. The family members had SEVERAL ITEMS at 4 bags. Did you know the DD's is a part of Ross but even cheaper. I already love Ross so this place is my new found obsession. They have everything you need for your home and clothing. The material is not all that great but more of like a one time use which isn't a problem if you buy it for like a dollar. I grabbed a pair of shoes here and the price was amazing $4.99to be exact. I don't think I can ever find the same deal anywhere else. They were also very nice. I've gotten a ton of shoes for my kids from here as well. It's local to me so you can say I live there. They are located in the large shopping center so parking is never a problem. The cashiers that work there welcome you as you walk through the door and guide you to all the items you need. read more

Im sitting here reading the ignorant reviews! 2 topics brought to my attention. People Not being aware of the EXCHANGE POLICY! I don't know if it was just me but they had HUGE signs with the new exchange policy that was going to change. Second, last minute shoppers going at 855 and complaining on the store being closed. Yes, they close at 9 but don't be that ahole customer walking in late while all of the employees are tired and just want to go home. Do your shopping at an earlier time. April 2018: I decided to stop by and return something I bought at another DDs. It was convenient. As I waiting in line this lady storms out with a hamper full of unpaid items from the store including the hamper! One of DDs employees attempted to stop her and grabbed her but the lady pulled away hard and took off with all these things! The security was nowhere to be found. There was a long line and there was only 2 registers open with the 2 additional employees standing at the open cashier's register along with a customer being served who also worked there (4 employees) talking and catching up with each other for at least 5-6 minutes. I finally asked can we get an another line open with no comment from them. Then I asked where is the store manager and it was the girl standing up there talking too. She said I'm the manager and that's all the line we can open. Not sorry we'll be right with you. RIDICULOUS!!!! The other customers were annoyed too. I would give five stars except that after shopping at three different DD s stores, some more than once, it is clear they don't want anyone to use their bathrooms. At each store the bathrooms were "unavailable", "out of service", "had plumbing problems", "manager policy", etc. This is a Disservice, particularly to elderly customers, and customers with children. I occasionally shop at DDs in Carson. The staff was polite and courteous however, I was not aware of DDs new return policy. They posted the new refund policy on little green triangle cards next to the registers. I purchased several items and one of them did not work out. When I attempted to return it the following day I was informed that DDs no longer refund cash or credit card payments to customers, you can only receive a DDs gift card. Our money is being hijacked. We are forced to buy something there. The new policy became effective June'2018. I will no longer be shopping at DDs. Something just seems wrong about that. DDs cashier's should required to verbalize the new policy instead the company discreetly posted small unnoticeable signs by the registers. I was told to contact DDs customer team at (800) 767-7457. I did you have to listen to a long unrelated recording about check payments before you can be transferred to a live representative. I was informed by the representative that DDs will not budge the policy is final No exceptons. read more

I went inside looking for a summer dress and found lots of cute dresses for 5 6 and 7.99. The store is very nicely organized and clean except for the dressing rooms which needs to be cleaned as they're dusty and been a bit vandalized by people. The staff was very friendly. So I came here to buy a Christmas present for a gift exchange at work. First of all the store is a mess and it looks dirty. Ok it is christmas season so I would have probably looked passed that. But what really got to me was the horrible customer service. The cashier was extremely rude. She calls up the next customer before she is even done bagging my items. Then she has the nerve to tell me to grab my own receipt. What's worse is that she did this exact same thing to the person who paid before me. On February 28, I went into Dd's discounts and found tons of cute doggy clothes. To help me prepare for the arrival of my Yorke. Well unfortunately long story short my family and I didn't receive our Yorke. Luckily I retained my receipt and kept tags on 8 out of 9 items I purchased. I paied with my debit card. I was called next in line by Manager "Justin" as I went into the store to return my items. Upon being greeted. Justin seemed nice greeted me with a smile. Once I pulled the items out of my shopping bag to return them. Justin at that point seemed frustrated with the amount of items I wanted to return. He asked me after greets " can I help you, I then said yes I'd like to return these items here. All of them please. At that point justin appeared to be very agitated. He asked me what was the reason for the return and I replied back I do not need them. He then asked me why? At that point he inspected the items to see if they had been used. I then answered him frimly "because I do not need them." He then said that the "dog diner" did not have a tag. I then replied it is on my receipt. And it is priced at $9.99 he then proceeded to say he didn't see it. After about 30 seconds he briskly walked away and mubled I have to go and find one with a tag. Returning about 1 1/2- 2 minutes later he brought back another different tray that was priced the same and continued with the refund. He then asked me for the debit card used I asked what for as to why he may needed it. He then said if you don't want to give it to me I can give you store credit. I simply asked him sir, it is merely a simple question as to why do you Need my debit card? He stated "like I said to receive your money back" that was never stated. I wanted this nightmare and his rude unprofessional behavior to be done with. I asked him for his general managers name and number which he provided me with (oh did I mention he tossed the information to me as he wrote it on the back of my receipt!) After finally receiving his name and district managers name. I left the store. Completely embarrassed and disgusted by his inconsiderate rude behavior. But today I got the worst customer service from the employee Besty. As she was ringing me up she told my sister to basically do her job and said. "Can you take off the hangers from your clothes". The store is fairy organized and has a descent selection of items. It is a discounted store so remember there might be a defect to the item. The item may be out of style/season or product company has newer models out so the old ones go to a discount store. Employees could be a little friendlier but I wouldn't say they are rude. I did think it was odd that the store manager began a conversation with the cashier as she was still completing my transaction. The security greeted me when I walked in and said good bye on my way out. I have visited this store several times during the day, would not visit in the evening.
