I come in here almost every time I shop at the Manhattan Mall and I don't even know why I bother. The employees are the worst! They're so rude. I went in there today and while I was checking out, I noticed that one of the items was not on sale so I told the guy I didn't want it. He seemed so inconvenienced when all he had to do was re-scan the item and delete it! He gave me attitude because I was paying with a gift card and then he shoved the receipt in the bag and gave me the bag with an attitude. I wouldn't make it a big deal but I always get an attitude here from the employees! Today was the last straw. read more

OMG! They would not do a price adjustment, so I had to return the item and repurchase it get the new price, which was 65% less! Then, I had to call customer relations and they had to speak to the manager about doing price adjustments and when I went to the store to do it, you would not believe the attitude! This GAP has it all, Gap for adults, kids and babies. It's located in the Manhattan Village mall, the indoor part. I'm looking forward to the eventual rejuvenation and facelift to the Manhattan Village, as this shopping center sometimes resembles a ghost town, 'tho at times when you want to get in and get out with easier parking and less crowds it can be a strategic advantage over other locations at more popular malls. read more

Despite the craze I managed to have 3 different people help me during my shopping experience. I personally think that is great! The store was a bit in disarray but they had their sales team constantly organizing but outnumbered by customers, despite the craze the the GAP TEAM was extremely friendly. The lines were long but moved fast Yvette who happened to be the person who assisted me during checkout was extremely courteous, helpful and nice. There was a debacle with my old navy card and for this she was extremely patient with me but after a few tries she suggested I open a gap card I declined, but with a little sales talk not pushy or annoying I was convinced & opened a credit card - the register however had a melt down and locked up. Yvette reacted quickly calling over a mgr to get OK IF SHE SHOULD START THE TRANSACTION on their mobile system and within a few minutes I was out the door- Yvette apologized for the delay and thanked me for being patient with a smile & eye contact. They got amazing sales every week and how can you not shop when they offer you 40% or 50% off? If you are interested make sure you sign up for their emails also check whats best if online or at the stores, they also got deals in their app and check for their secret code which it will save you alot of money , i know i should work for Baby gap after i studied the whole sistem because i love dressing up my baby. The prices and quality are great but this store was a little dirty in the dressing rooms and the cashiers took awhile. There was so much dust on the floor in the dressibg room that i had to hit a huge wad of dust off the pants I was trying on. There were two cashiers and only 3 people in front of us but when a problem arose, it took awhile for both of them to figure it out. I waited while. This won't be my first choice of GAP in the SouthBay but it's worth a visit. read more

I started to shop at this location a lot more after my favorite store in South Bay Galleria closed at the beginning of the year (still sad about it being closed, I love the employees there and they knew me well :(). This store is pretty easy to shop, I like the layout and they change things around to refresh the look from time to time. I had a lot of good experiences with the employees. The ladies always smile and are very helpful. One time I needed to find a shirt for my son and one of the employee took her time to go look for a bunch of different color and style to ensure I got the best one for the event :). Recently though, I did notice that a lot of the price tags on the sale section was doing something funny. They had a 40% additional off on top of the markdowns. But at least 3 times, I brought the items to the cashier and they would charge the prices on the sticker without the 40% extra sale. When I asked, they explained that the price on the tags were already included the 40% extra discount, which was a bit weird for me. A couple times I paid for the merchandise anyway since they were small items and I needed it for birthday gift the next day. One time I did walk away leaving the item because it was a jacket that still a bit expensive more my budget without the extra 40% off, which was a bummer. Overall though, I still really like shopping at this store thanks to the good customer service. read more

Gap Cashier pursued me to apply for Gap Credit Card for 75% OFF which actually was 25% OFF. I have excellent credit 800+ & I usually don't like to apply for Department Stores Credit Card & other Low Budget Cards to Avoid Unnecessary Inquiries on my Credit Report as in this case. Gap didn't approve me for the Credit Card & when I asked for the Reason she said we will get a letter in the mail in 7-10 days. Knowing I have excellent credit, I was very upset & I asked the MGR to at least honor the discount for wasting my time & putting an inquiry on my credit. He said we don't have any discounts today. Really, on a BLACK FRIDAY ? I think a good company & a good mgr would have at least honored the discount which was approx $30+ for $135 Order. This tells a lot about the Company (Gap) & the Employees that Represent it. DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO GAP ANYMORE. read more

This GAP is fabulous! Their inventory can be hit and miss, but their staff could give lessons to many retailers in the south bay. While many employees these days seem to treat customers as if they are a bother, and look for ways to tell their customers "no," the staff at this store is SUPER friendly and accomidating. While I was waiting to make a return today, the cashier offered to try on a jacket to help the customer at the register make a decision on a size for her daughter. So thoughtful and genuine! When I went make my return, they didn't give me any of the usual grief and questioning a lot of retailers do these days. This makes loyal customers! Keep up the good work! read more
