I shopped here on Saturday, Apr 15th, 2023. The girl who helped me did not understand the concept of this business. Last few other times I was there, my experience was totally different. This girl wanted to go home at 5pm badly. She was clearly annoyed that I got there too late. It was 4:40pm. I was shopping for my neighbor's little girl who came out unexpectedly early. I wanted to have the gift READY meaning all gift wrapped. My gift came out as if I went to shop at a swap meet. If I knew my gift would come out like this (see photos), I didn't have to shop here. To give more details, I purchased 4 items such as clothes and blankets. She was trying to jam everything in a tiny bag. I asked if I can have a bigger bag, she sigh. Never will I support this business and other people should how they treat their customers of women of color. I drove 30 mins to this shop after spotting it a few weeks ago. Well today I made my return and the second I stepped foot in the door the employee came from behind the counter and asked if I need help with sizes. I told her no, but that I would let her know if I need her help. She stood inches away from me and watched as I browsed the rack. I gave her friendly glance letting her know like hey, I got it. She apparently did not get the clue, which prompted me to ask her please allow me to look without your entire body inches from me and eyes scanning me up and down as I touch every piece of clothing. The owner chimes in from behind the counter and say the employee is doing a good job insinuating that I'm a person that needs to be watched. A 3 min encounter could have went so wrong here. I choose to just leave and not give them the business. No one should deal with things like this when peacefully trying to shop!! read more

Spent all of about 2 mins in this store before I was asked to place the one single item I had on the counter "to free up my hands". As a black woman, I felt completely discriminated against and will never shop at this store again. @Bella Beach Kids, please provide your employees with awareness and sensitivity training and if you were the owner, shame on you. This is an adorable store hands down! There's two stores, one for baby and toddlers and one right next door for older kids. They have a variety of clothes, shoes and tpus. They participate in the sidewalk sale they have every so often. Then it's fifty percent off the things outside the store. Their items are unique and mostly from the brand Mayorca which comes from Spain. I also saw some pieces from Peru and France. There was a second location at The Point but they had to close because they wouldn't renew their lease. The sales people are very friendly and kind. AMAZING customer service!! We had an unplanned stop at the beach with the family in full clothing. My 4 yr old daughter fell in the ocean playing in the waves which soaked her clothes. We saw Bella Beach kids store and immediately were drawn there since my daughter's name is Bella Victoria was the employee who helped us and she was beyond incredible! She helped us find her outfits while she played with their play kitchen and toys. My wife and I were stroller shopping in Manhattan Beach, and just happened to park right in front of this delightful little boutique. The owner was extremely insightful and helpful and full of good info when it came to the type of stroller we were interested in, and we actually ended up waiting for the 2011 model to come out, and our experience there was so great that we actually went back there to order it from him as opposed to ordering online. He even threw in a sweet cupholder for the stroller, which was rad. Aside from our stroller, they had a really cute selection of baby and kids clothing. read more

Worst customer service ever. I called for two weeks, asking about a new pajama shipment. They kept saying "it's coming tomorrow". When it came in, they didn't have what I wanted so the manager offered to custom order it for me. I gave her my size and specifications and told her when I needed it. My husband and I came across this baby boutique a few years ago. I never appreciated what a great store this place was until we became pregnant with our first child. The store owner, Tony, is incredibly helpful and sweet. He is patient and insightful and knowledgeable...a first-time parents' dream!! The store sells the Uppababy stroller that is great on its own, but is even better to buy from Tony - he is in close contact with Uppababy's West Coast VP and can be a wonderful liason between you and the company should you have any problem with the stroller. Also, the clothes, toys, decor, and furniture are truly beautiful!
