Very cute little cafe right by the strand on the beach with the most gorgeous natural lighting. Super great drinks but if only they didn't close so early everyday. The volcanic matcha was super delicious with a great amount of cream to matcha and the volcanic salt was the cherry on top. Definitely want to visit more often. read more

Stopped by after a nice walk along the strand and it was the perfect coffee break. It definitely seems like a popular spot with a great atmosphere. We ordered their signature BBL Iced (Brown Butter Latte) and a vanilla latte. Both were really good, but the Brown Butter Latte stood out with its unique flavor. Relaxed vibe and friendly service :) read more

After dining in the area, I was in the mood for matcha and saw this place was literally across the street and I was amped to try it. It was a nice and quaint place with baked goods and coffee to purchase. Although it was a little busy because it was the weekend, everything moved fast, and I was able to order quickly. I'm a big fan of yuzu tonic wherever I go, so seeing they had this on the menu, I knew I had to purchase it with my choice of matcha despite the $8.50 price, which apparently is the new norm, but I digress. The drink was pretty good, as I added a bit of extra sweetener to it, and I think I would definitely come again if I was in the area and also try their food options that I didn't realize they also had. This was ultimately worth the stop if I'm in the area. read more

Little tiny coffee shop right across the street from uncle Billy's breakfast restaurant. I got their guava matcha latte with almond milk. I liked how their fruit flavoring was not as sweet as other places and their matcha was good. Went there at 1pm in the afternoon so service was fast and was helped right away. Not a lot of parties left at that time. Only bagels read more

My guest and I came in and ordered a latte and mocha respectively. The young man behind the counter was nice enough, but he specifically stressed whether or not we wanted it iced and or heated-to which both of us responded heated, please. Guess how the drinks came out? They didn't have ice, but they were far from heated-lol not to be fair, a line of humanity was forming behind us and there were a few others in front of us as well. Given the sheer volume this small place was about to be hit with, perhaps that played a role in terms of rushing the product? I'll go ahead and chalk this up to the laws of average thrown in with the fact that the product wasn't bad, it was just slightly above average. In some respects this sucks because I'm one of those who go out of their way to support the mom and pop, or non-traditional chains. No worries, I'll be back. It is what it is. read more

Stopped by on my birthday before my walk on the strand and got the BBL latte. It's one of the best lattes. I've had. The service was fast, you order inside and then wait for it outside. It's quite small inside so there's no seating in there but they do have a benches outside. Looking forward to coming back to try the other coffee drinks! read more

Came here on a weekday for an afternoon pick‑me‑up. Parking is street only and can be a little tricky. I think there's a parking structure nearby, but I'm not totally sure. I came with a few friends so we could try different drinks. The shop is cute and cozy, with moody California vibes. They have decorated skateboards hanging on the walls, which adds a fun, laid‑back touch. I ordered the classic matcha latte. The matcha had a nice, earthy umami flavor and wasn't overly sweet. Just a heads up, you have to ask for it to be sweetened, otherwise it comes unsweetened. The rest of the group ordered BBLs (LOL). Yes, $7 BBLs, not what you think! It stands for Brown Butter Latte, and it was definitely a crowd favorite. Rich, smooth, and very comforting. read more

Really long wait and the barista was not friendly and rude. Barking at people to wait outside instead of asking nicely. A simple Americano took over 20 minutes and she said that they have a lot of online orders which is wild how they prioritize those over customers already there waiting in person. Too many good coffee shops close by to be treated like they are doing you a favor. Cant wait for Alfred to open across the street. Hopefully they have better service. Verve is also great. read more

GOODBOYBOB was pretty Good We went on a Sunday morning so you know you get what you get in Manhattan Beach. We got there pretty early around 8AM (not so early) and there was a decent crowd waiting outside already. Its a grab and go situation here with 2 or 3 tables on the sidewalk, none on the inside, and a small space able to queue maybe 3 to generously 4 people inside the door. Names for orders are called by yelling (maybe?) from the inside to the outside. I say maybe because we didn't actually hear anything, just saw our order on the counter which looked like our order and checked. Service! simple, uneventful, the staff were nice, but busy so good I'd say. Ambiance! eh, just go walk down to the beach and decompress from the wait lol. Menu! They have your standard fare menu, but their seasonal specials definitely are the way to go for me. I don't want to come back but will probably come back to try their summer specials! We ordered the Icy Blue Flash Brew and the Blueberry Pie Matcha Latte. The Icy Blue Matcha (note: not the ordered flash brew...but didn't want to bother with the line and wait) was actually the favorite of the two drinks. It has a good sweet, milk, and tea rate. The Blueberry Pie Matcha was visually pretty but wildly and overwhelmingly sweet. Overall I probably wouldn't recommend you go out of your way to visit, but I'll probably be back in the summer to try their summer specials because I see the drink potential, and hope to get to try the coffee next time. read more

Ordered: Iced Nilla Latte (~$7): iced latte with house made vanilla bean syrup Aya's take: Goodboybob is a specialty coffee roaster that is cool, minimalist, and most importantly -- has good coffee! The Iced Nilla Latte was a solid afternoon pick-me-up. The espresso was pulled properly, the vanilla was subtly sweet without masking the espresso, and every sip was velvety & smooth. All in all, well-made and a great try if you're looking for a coffee spot in Manhattan Beach! read more

Goodboybob was some pretty great coffee out near Redondo Beach. In the quest for my favorite coffee, I knew I had to check this place off the list and it didn't disappoint. If you're looking for good coffee you gotta check this place out. The staff was friendly and it's a small space, but you can quickly navigate the menu and their food options to find what you need. The pastries were solid, too. Wishing this place continued success, and definitely visiting again soon when I'm in the area. Good luck Goodboybob! read more

When I used to work in Torrance, I would make the drive because they were the only local coffee shop open at 6am. I opted out of the larger coffee chains. My go-to drink was their espresso tonic with calamansi. I also tried their seasonal cranberry tonic. Their drinks are solid. The espresso wasn't acidic. They also sell baked goods, which look good. The service is always welcoming and quick. The shop itself is on the smaller side, and all the seating is outdoors. I wouldn't consider this cafe for studying or remote work. Regardless, their coffee is delicious, and the hospitality is good! read more

Was psyched to stop by Goodboybob Coffee Roasters for a Flat White with (homemade) almond milk this morning... My SIL also had a Flat White (with whole milk) and we brought my husband a drip coffee. Terrible staff and service! They are very rude and cannot manage running a coffee shop in a timely manner. I have been booking a room at the library next door for the past few weeks. Always get drip light roast on my way. About half the time it is lukewarm. I am SO disappointed drinking this right now in my study room. I was dreaming of my hot coffee on my drive over. This coffee is superb when hot. I am going to stop going here except to get beans. I do like the ascent blend which is a good value at about $20 a bag. $5 for lukewarm coffee is a bad purchase decision. read more

I absolutely love this place and their coffee but one of the workers with pink hair was unbelievably rude. After she got our orders wrong we asked super nicely if she could make the correct version. Super hidden coffee shop in alleyways and with their own parking lot. Seating indoors and outdoors. + Guava Matcha Latte ($7; half sweet): Matcha very light, milk also light, strong tart guava flavor and subtlety sweet. Too watery, needs to be full sweet (6/10) + Rolex Burrito ($10 + $2 avocado): delicious, crunchy carrots, roots, slaw, with egg scramble, creamy avocado. Mild green sauce was sweet and not really spicy. Tortilla had nice grill, and chewy texture (8/10) read more

Experienced the worst customer service in a long time. Girl with purple or pink hair was very rude. My wife who is visually impaired ask about our coffee and she rudely said the names are on the coffee (they were busy) but no reason to not be helpful. I then went inside to inquire about our drinks and we ordered 2 but only one was on the counter. She told me my wife already took one. I explained to her my wife didn't p/u any drinks yet. She continued to tell me she already picked it up. Finally she made our drink and rudely told me I'm welcome. I guess she was either insinuating that we took an extra drink or I was fortunate enough to get an $8 latte from her! We were there the day before and the service (gentleman) and drinks were great. read more

Visited on a Saturday around 11:00 am and while they were extremely busy, we probably waited about 5 minutes to order and another 10 for our orders to be made. Very reasonable! The inside is very small, so you order then wait on the sidewalk if they are crowded. I am a huge matcha fan and let's just say I'm going to be dreaming of their matchas every day until I get the chance to return to CA! I visited on my last day in CA and ordered two matchas because I couldn't possibly decide on just one. ZERO REGRETS! I ordered the seasonal blueberry pie matcha (with almond milk) and the signature yuzu matcha tonic. Omg both were incredible! The blueberry pie matcha was rich and decadent. It tasted exactly like blueberry pie, not just a matcha with blueberry puree. The yuzu matcha tonic was so light and refreshing, almost like a lemonade. Highly recommend for a hot day! Staff were super friendly, helpful, and patient. read more
