Blueberry cream matcha - really good. The blueberry cream is sweet and the matcha is good quality. Mixing it together creates the perfect combo. I have tried some other matcha spots in the South Bay and I think this might be my favorite matcha. My husband got the yuzu jasmine tea. It's sweet but not super sweet and you can taste the tea and yuzu. However after an hour or two the tea became a bit bitter so I recommend to drink this one sooner rather than later. read more

I was at Redondo beach this past weekend for a little getaway and I love checking out new coffee shops so I had to come here. Both drinks had a good sweetness to coffee ratio. There's plenty of seating inside but not too sure about any outdoor seating. How have I not written a review yet for Tot? My friend initially told me about Tot, and it's not far, but not close to me (I live in Manhattan Beach). It's not convenient to get to because in between home and here, there are a dozen coffee shops.. but I will make the 15-20 min roundtrip trip for Tot. The exterior is beautiful and it is located amongst other stores. The people are kind and the interior is well designed! It's a perfect place to either do work or meet with friends! The Blueberry Cream Matcha was good, my first time having a blueberry matcha with cream. It was not too sweet and good balance between matcha and blueberry. It definitely is the best matcha in Redondo. The matcha was smaller than the coffee that was ordered. We ordered the Bananamisu, the banana flavor was barely there and it just tasted like a regular latte to me. The ambiance is pretty chill, seating is comfortable, the baristas are friendly, and my drink was good! I decided to go with the pour over and I really liked the presentation on a tray with a card that gives the details of the beans. They do have free wifi though so you can try to get your work done here if you're lucky enough to snag a spot. I've tried the following drinks so far: - Tot Cream Latte: This is their signature coffee drink and it's made with butterscotch caramel cream. I didn't like this drink because it was a little too buttery and heavy for me... but that's just due to my own personal taste. I can see others enjoying it. - Blue's Clues: I really enjoyed this iced espresso drink with peppermint and blueberry puree. If you like a hint of mint in your coffee (i.e. Philz iced mint mojito), then you will probably like it. I recommend this one if you want to try a unique iced coffee drink here that is refreshing and delicious. - Iced Matcha Latte: I got this unsweetened with oat milk and I loved this! They use ceremonial grade matcha and Peter makes it very well here. Very smooth, delicious, and not gritty or grainy at all like some other places. I would totally get this again. Discovered Tot from IG, I loved how cozy the space was, though I'd say not the most accommodative for bigger group unless you're just doing grab and go. They offered several house signature drinks, and doubtlessly I picked the top one (Tot Cream Latte) as it featured butterscotch caramel cream which I really loved to pair with my coffee. The default went with whole milk, but I substituted it with their house milk, which was basically sweetened almond milk just for fun and turned out lovely! This new coffee shop in Redondo Beach serves unique coffees with solid cream tops. I tried their popular Tot Cream latte with almond milk and the Blue's Clues which is a blueberry peppermint latte. They have parking in the lot as well as an underground parking garage. I thought the Tot Cream latte tasted decent with a good taste of coffee and a butterscotch caramel cream that wasn't overly sweet. I guess I'm not the biggest fan of butterscotch or maybe the flavors of the butterscotch, caramel, and cinnamon was too much for me since I didn't think the flavor was amazing but I thought the espresso itself was good. The Blues Clues was a very unique drink with an interesting mix of blueberry puree and peppermint flavor. It was quite refreshing and good to try but I probably wouldn't get it next time. I wanted to try their Yuzu Espresso Tonic but they were sold out when I went Saturday afternoon. Long Beach has much better options but the places I've tried in redondo/manhattan/hermosa are usually a miss so I was pleased to find a place that actually uses good quality matcha (they get theirs from a farm in Japan) and they use a good amount of grams but I like mine strong so get 2 extras grams. The good: This has tot-ally been on my to try list for a while. I was glad I was able to come and try their pastries and drinks. The pastries were EXCELLENT. I got 3 different kinds and they tasted fancy and fun rather than generic and grocery-store purchased. They weren't too sweet. They were flaky and delicious. I tried a blueberry coffee (called Blues Clues) and an "apple of my eye" apple and earl grey tea from their spring/summer menu. The options were great and so unique. I was able to sit here for a few hours to do my continuing education requirements. They had outlets. There were some benches outside for seating. The bad: The interior is smaller so it's not great for larger groups. Parking can also be limited. I would've liked more peppermint flavor in the Blues Clues drink. The view from inside isn't interesting because you're just looking out into a parking lot. The interesting: It's a Korean-owned cafe I believe with interior retro decor that reminds me of other Korean-owned businesses like Old Ferry donut and Oncle's cake shop (which I think closed). I liked the thoughtful and retro interior design style. The parque-style tile flooring was reminiscent of 90s McDonalds. I think this was the same flooring at Old Ferry Donuts. read more

TOT Coffee is one of those rare gem cafés that makes you excited to try the entire menu. Their drinks are consistently excellent, which is impressive because most cafés vary depending on who makes them, but not here. The coffee and tonic water are balanced well so you can still taste both. There is a bit of yuzu syrup but it is very faint and not overpowering. Overall the drink was very good, tasted like coffee, and was not overly sweet. The pastries were also pretty good, especially when heated. Interior is relatively plain, modern, and minimal. They have a bunch of mismatched chairs which are comfortable enough but you won't want to stay there all day. I like that there are real plants. There is easy free parking in the small surface lot or underground. The prices were reasonable. The music was tasteful and at an appropriate volume. No power outlets, so it wouldn't be the best place for work or study, which is a major plus in my book. There are a few small tables inside, and a couple more outside on the patio. This is an ideal location for a casual chat or a coffee stop on your way to the beach. The service is prompt and friendly. The workers are friendly with other shopkeepers in the same plaza.
