Finally passed by on a day where there wasn't a super long line. Although I did have to wait the line went pretty fast. I ordered the Vienna latte, which was delicious worth any weight in line. I will say that the inside is pretty small so while I was waiting for my latte, it got a little crowded with everyone else waiting. The complex where this store is located is where I take my dog for grooming. This morning, I saw that the store was busy and that there were A LOT of people coming out of the door. YUMM! Loved this coffee spot and the unique flavor combinations! I am always on the hunt for ube coffee spots and this one was definitely top 5! Yeems is soooo good. There's usually a line, but having their own parking lot makes the stop much easier. The Ube buttercream coffee was a bit too sweet for my personal taste, but still good. The real winners are the Vienna lattes (both the regular and the matcha). It's delicious, and I love to drink through the cream on top before later swirling it a bit. The matcha ginger date scone is the best scone I've ever had in my life. I'm not usually a scone person. Perfect amount of sweetness and balance. It's good to split with someone, and don't forget to get it heated up. When I'm feeling matcha, I get the Vienna matcha (with oat milk). It's really good. I've seen this same location turnover at least 5x in the last 10 years and I'm really happy to see Yeems find success here. That being said, it's nice that I also love the coffee. The Vienna latte is the most popular drink for a reason, it's really good. I'm not as into the other lattes, the flavor profiles are off to me. Too much milk. They occasionally offer off menu specialties that are fun. Last month there were 3-4 drinks on a paper taped to the door. I had a "Bert's Way" which was a twist on the Vienna latte, and it was excellent. Try out the specials when you see them. I also like the new chairs! Very cute guys. I must have passed this coffee shop at least 34 times before finally saying, "Okay, let's try it." And I'm so glad I did! My first visit, I ordered the Vienna Latte hot, and it was absolutely delicious. They only offer one size, but don't let that fool you--it's more than enough in that little cup. Their ube latte is probably the best one I've had. I personally like it when the ube and coffee are balanced, because a lot of places let the coffee overpower the ube, but here you can really taste both flavors. Ever since my first visit to the ktown location, this has been a favorite of mine specifically for the ube buttercream latte. The first time, it was just a seasonal drink which made me sad to learn, so I was incredibly excited when it became a permanent part of the menu. I have tasted vienna latte as well, which is yummy, but doesn't top my number one. There is usually a line out the door, but it moves pretty quick and drinks don't take too long, considering the usual rush. This location has a few tables and some seating, but they had initially imposed a 2-hr time limit for the tables (unsure if they still exist), which makes it a bit tough if you plan on studying/working here. The parking isn't too bad as there's a decent sized parking lot, but can sometimes be crowded as well - usually we don't have much trouble though. read more

One of my fav spots in LA so far. We stumbled upon this place looking for an asian style coffee shop as I always feel they do cafes the best and man was I right. While it was weirdly busy and had a line going out the door and around the building, the line didn't take ridiculously long for how many people were there. However there was nowhere to sit and we were always in someone's way which made the experience not so enjoyable. But the drinks were well worth it. We tried their most popular coffee, which was insanely creamy, sweet, and just good/nothing like I've had before. It was quite decadent and took me awhile to drink, but was like a treat. I almost would've liked it slightly less sweet but it was really good. We liked it so much we got back in the long line to try the matcha because it looked so incredible. As expected, with the cream top it was so good and we couldn't wait to come back again in the future. Rich and creamy served at the perfect temperature for drinking. So many places serve it to hot. Also if you order it to drink there you will be served in a ceramic cup. That always elevates the experience and makes he drink taste better :) The staff/baristas are very friendly and nice to have some conversation with if it's not to busy :) I have been coming in around 11am and there is very little line. But if you plane on coming in on a Sat or Sun be ready to wait because the line is usually out the door. But it is that good ;) It's a small/medium size shop with limited seating inside and no seating outside. The shop decor is simple and everything is kept neat and clean. Yeems is located in a strip mall filled with a variety of restaurants. (I recommend CM Chicken ;) There is a private parking lot but it can fill up on the weekends. I felt like Newjeans because after one taste, I said OMG. I was in LB for a Yelp event and I drove here, some freeway driving and some street driving. That Sunday morning was calm and quite but when I arrived, there was so many people inside the café. The latte was so subtle and every drop had the flavor I came for. The bathroom was well kept so that was a plus. The parking lot was a good size since it is in a plaza, and the parking was free. The service was good, they had a few staff working at the time, and my order came out fast considering the amount of customers they had. Been in a fan of Yeems since I tried it in Ktown and certainly have been missing out not knowing they have another outlet in Gardena. You can certainly tell a place is good when it's been long-standing yet the line is still constantly long. It's totally not only the hype but people's keep coming back. They do magic though behind that barista tables as the drinks are ready in a blink despite the crowd. Their podium winners are the Ube Butterscotch Cream Latte and Vienna Matcha, for which I went for the first one sans the ube to let the butterscotch flavor stood out. My preference was to stir it well before sipping to let the coffee, caramel-ly foam, and milk blended well. I did go for almond milk substitute and loved it.
