Chrome Coffee Studio is a new Asian-inspired coffee shop in the South Bay that specializes in matcha and creative espresso drinks (coffee beans are sourced from Stereoscope Coffee). The coffee shop recently had a collaboration with online influencer POV Husband for the POV Matcha pop-up in August 2026 and there was a long waiting line wrapped around the block. I came here on a casual Saturday afternoon and there was a minimal wait. [Parking]: Easy and free strip mall parking. [Atmosphere]: There are one long table, one bar table, and bench seating with about 20+ seats inside the shop. There are two small outdoor tables just outside of the shop. [Menu]: According to one of the posted metal plaques, some of the signature drinks are Chrome Latte or Matcha, Cream Top, Cold Brew Latte, Banana Cream Latte (Espresso or Matcha), Coconut Matcha, and Hojicha Cream Top. *** Banana Cream Matcha (matcha + milk + agave + banana cream + cinnamon - $7.25): Excellent banana cream as it had a really strong flavor. While the matcha portion was watery, the matcha flavor remained strong. Once the entire drink was stirred, the drink tasted a bit more balanced. *** A solid matcha shop in the South Bay, but their cream is quite sweet and I would get it at 75% sweetness instead.
Ambiance: the trendy coffee shop is located at a strip mall with limited shared parking, it's often quite packed and loud inside, expect a long waiting line during peak hours Service: place the order at the counter and wait for it's prepared near the other side Drink: they have classic and store special coffee and matcha drinks Chrome Latte - **** Espresso, Milk, Brown Sugar, House Cream, Cacao, creamy and refreshing taste, recommend Price: decent quality and reasonable price, expect around $7 per drink
I ordered the regular matcha latte, and my drink came out within just a few minutes despite how busy they were on a Sunday. I'm sure the recent hype from POV Husband's shoutout has something to do with the crowds, including me! There's a long communal table inside, along with a couple of benches with small tables. There are also a two tables outside, but it seems like most people grab their drinks to go. My matcha latte was smooth, creamy, and I could definitely taste the matcha. I'll definitely come back and try some of their other matcha drinks next time.
So I came here because of a social media post that I saw and I have never been here so I figured why not get two birds with one stone. I arrived around 10:30 am and I was top 10, so it was good I got here earlier than originally planned. Since I had a few hours before the special pop-up event with the special guests, I needed some coffee. After talking to some people in line on what is good here, I decided on the banana cream latte and it was a good choice. I asked for it to be less sweet and it was perfect. I did not need to do anything to it. After the three snd a half hour wait, it was time for the event. It was well worth the wait as I got the complimentary Matcha drink, choice of POV_Husband Merch, and pictures with the husband and wife Social Media Influencers. As for Chrome Coffee Studio, if you like matcha drinks or real good robust flavor coffee drinks hot or iced, this place is worth the try. Do not get discouraged if you see a long line because they are fast, friendly and efficient.
I got to try an iced matcha latte with almond milk at the POV Husband pop up. I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the drink despite how busy they were. The staff members were all friendly and provided great customer service. I would definitely come back for more matcha the next time I'm in the area.
Peak status - is exactly what you get when drinking Chrome coffee- order for today- UBE CREAM LATTE- smooth as silk, mellow taste of ube mixed with the finest strong coffee beans. Give it a swirl and the combination is complete a creamy textured coffee with a soft hue of purpleness. Second time here- just noticed the chrome splotch on the wall- great talking piece. Reminds me of a cool word bubble from a comic strip. Thank you Clyde for being professional, five stars for Clyde!!
I ordered the coconut matcha and their seasonal Ube latte. The coconut matcha was 3/4 coconut water and 1/4 matcha cold foam. I enjoyed it but definitely did not need to have the ice in it. The Uber latte was a solid 7.5/10.
This place was great!! We went on a Wednesday morning around 7am when they opened, which was the perfect time. There's a free parking lot outside, with plenty of spaces to choose from! I got the banana matcha, and it was DELICIOUS. The matcha flavor was really good, not grainy, and a really good color. The banana side of it wasn't too sweet, and the flavor was really good. Service was great, they were super nice and very quick. The ambiance was great, there was a good amount of seating but I'd definitely note that it fills up quick once it started to get busy around 9am. I'll definitely be back!!
Came on Monday morning and the cashier was nice! Tried the ube matcha and it was delicious! They really nailed the thickness and sweetness of the ube cream! I don't like a lot of the ube matchas I've had at other places, but i recommend it here!
Went to Chrome today and thankfully the line wasn't too long! The vibe is always so easygoing with music playing in the background. I got the ube latte, and my husband got the coconut matcha. We both loved our drinks. The ube latte was sweet without being overpowering, and the coconut matcha was super refreshing. I'd definitely order either one again. My only complaint is that I drank mine way too fast!
Stopped by Chrome Coffee Studio and loved it. Staff was welcoming. The shop is nice and open space with enough seating. I had their banana latte and it was flavorful with REAL bananas and delicious. Perfect spot for a quick stop. I'll be back.
Chrome coffee is a stand alone brick and morter within a shopping center in Torrance. Nice and modern and absolutely loved the concept of having a refreshing coconut matcha, which I absolutely loved. Only reason why I knocked off a star because it was overly crowded with little seating and there was a good amount of staff behind the counter, but it took some time for the staff to recognize that I needed something. Customer service wasn't as up to par as many other coffee shops, but overall, the drink itself is what really stood out for me. Perhaps it was just a one, off day, but still decent enough for me to go back on a not so busy day.

It was the perfect sweetness since the coconut water itself was sweet. The matcha from this place is super creamy and silky. I'm more of a fan of sweet matcha and their drinks are the perfect sweetness. The banana matcha and ube matcha were also very yummy! I felt like the ube was lacking a bit of the ube flavor but it was still good. The inside is super aesthetic and clean with enough place for seating. Super cute place to stop by!
Probably the greatest coffee shop addition in the South Bay area! I'm always stopping by for myself or the office bc it's truly our fave. I've tried their banana matcha (top tier), strawberry matcha (has real strawberry bits ), coconut matcha, ube matcha (seasonal), biscoff latte (off menu). All so very good! They also have many pastry options to complement your drink. All the workers are nice and are always hustlin to get the drinks out with a quickness since the line tends to be long during peak hours. Unfortunately no online ordering still due to said long line. Aesthetically pleasing and love their music choices. A definite must in Torrance! read more
Small parking lot in a plaza, smaller cafe. The downside is if it gets busy, it can get quite crowded. However, service is usually pretty quick. There's seating areas along the front windows and along the wall, some seating outside, and some seating in the middle. And ofc the furniture reflecting the name, chrome. I find that it difficult to find a banana cream top that tastes like banana. But I was impressed by how good it was! I was telling my partner that it's a pretty popular spot and he didn't understand until he tried the banana cream top matcha loooool. I'd def come back just for the banana cream top matcha! This place has been on my list and I'm so glad I finally got around to trying it! Chrome coffee has a variety of matcha and coffee selections (as well as hojicha) and I was super excited to try their drinks. My friend got the banana matcha and that was delicious! The matcha flavor was great and the banana cream paired well with the drink. I got the hojicha cream latte and that was yummy as well. I would come back again and get the banana matcha next time! read more
I love the interior of this place; there is a ton of natural lighting, a variety of seats, and tasteful, simple decor. It seems to be great for studying or hanging out! We were helped kindly and quickly, and our drinks came out fast. We got the chrome matcha and latte. I think both are a little light in strength, but were perfect as I was looking for something lighter. If you like super strong lattes / matchas, maybe save this spot for another day. read more
Came for a work session at Chrome during the weekday, and it is busy! Service was relatively fast. I got the banana matcha which was delicious if you're in for a sweet drink. Unfortunately they don't have a toaster because their food offerings would be so much more enjoyable - my friend got an everything croissant that comes with cream cheese inside - imagine that toasted up. Wifi was good, but it's kinda awkward for sitting and working on your laptop - this is definitely more of a social hang type place. There's one long communal table in the center where everybody waits for their coffee - there's a few benches along the far wall, and counter seating at the window, plus two small tables outside. If you need to plug in your computer, you'll need to sit along the wall bench that offers no tables. Small private lot that's busy. read more

Kept seeing this place all over my Instagram stories with high reviews from my friends. Every time I drove by, the line seemed long so I was hesitant to stop. I finally did, and I'm so glad! The line looks long and wrap along the length of the store usually, but it moves fast. The shop has many workers who are constantly moving so they're able to push out drinks quickly. I got their banana matcha and yummmm it was perfectly flavored with the ratio of banana to matcha. It wasn't too sweet either which is usually a concern of mine. Next to the cashier is a pastry display and I got a croissant which tasted fresh and flakey. It's located in small plaza so parking isnt an issue. Definitely will be back! Hoping they implement an online order service to facilitate pick up orders :) read more

First off the parking situation isn't easy however, the coffee drink I had was worth the struggle. It was clean the staff were so friendly and helpful and the pastries were delicious. I had the cookie butter cold brew with Biscoff crumble on top and I think a vanilla foam. It was a little sweet, not too sweet but just right, you could taste all the flavors and the coffee itself. This one was dangerously good and I'll be back to try other ones. I also got the almond croissant and it was big and flaky & soft it tasted fresh and so GOOD. Again I'll be back to try other ones. read more
This place was amazing albeit a bit busy and rightfully so! We had to wait in a longish line, but not line outside the door long! It was pretty lively inside and they had a speaker playing some music. The staff were nice and welcoming and even gave us their recommendations! They got our drinks out quick and they were so good! It can get quite crowded inside because of the line, so my boyfriend and I took a seat outside! Definitely more of a grab and go spot instead of being someplace you can chill and hangout for a while! read more

Anybody that knows me knows that I take hours to finish any of my drinks. I don't think I have ever drank something as fast as the Coconut Matcha that I downed within minutes. It was DELICIOUS! Chrome had a really long line, and from what I heard from the workers, the line is always like that. But, we got our drinks within 5 minutes despite the volume of drink orders they had! read more

The coffee shop is located in a shopping center. Went during the week and the line was all the way to the door. They have different variety of drinks and pastries. I got the banana cream matcha and my friend got the coconut water matcha. They both had good flavors. Will come again to drink a different drink read more

Visited here since it was close by the Del Amo mall and wow this cafe is packeddd. Is there no other specialty coffee shop around here? lol. There were still a good amount of parking spots available, but the line to order wraps inward like a snake. Luckily the line moves at a steady pace and I got my drink a lot quicker than expected. I ordered the chrome latte and my bf got the americano. Americano was pretty standard, but the chrome latte was pretty nice! The drink overall was a bit more sweet, so I wish it had a stronger coffee profile to it. Although, the drink overall was still pretty good! Love the vibe of the cafe, although, it was really packed so you can't really enjoy the cafe atmosphere as much lol. read more
Heard of this spot from a friend, and enjoyed the drinks. Ordered the Chrome matcha and Banana matcha. The banana matcha overpowered the matcha flavor, so would prefer the chrome matcha. The interior of the cafe is not too large or small, definitely a good amount of space to stop by or even study at. read more
Very cute cafe! Loved the design on the inside. Good amount of parking and seating inside and outside! Line was long but moved quickly! All staff were so kind and sweet. Banana Latte was a 7/10. It was good, I wouldn't wait in line for it again though. Strawberry Matcha was a 3/10. Gritty, tasted like water, strawberry flavor got lost after mixing. Would not recommend I probably won't come back, but it's only because of the drinks, everything else was great. read more
I tried for the first time the hojicha latte and it was really good. The flavor of the grassy matcha is not there and it has more of a smoky flavor, I think. Woah chrome is so popular that you have to walk around the room in a circle beacuse the lines are long. But the wait was worth it. Just make sure you don't have nothing to do right after if you are there on a Saturday morning. I really like the set up. Nice place. read more
This place was popping midday on a weekday! Nice very modern little spot with limited drink options. I got the banana latte which I was impressed by the banana top. There were real bananas/little pieces and it wasn't just banana syrup which was impressive, it was smooth, sweet and creamy. They likely batch their tops and possibly their other items based on how fast I got my drink, but no complaint there! Great service, a few little parking spots available and an overall good pick me up fun sugary coffee type drink. You could make all of this at home but for those of you who like the convenience and a home barista vibe this is your spot. read more
This spot is located right on Sepulveda Boulevard in a plaza so there's some parking. This place was packed. The line was wrapped around inside, but it went pretty quick. Came here for one thing and it was their Biscoff latte which was pretty decent. It was Rich flavorful and you could definitely taste the Biscoff flavor. However, the only thing I have about this is that the cold foam that comes with it took up about a third of the coffee cup which I did not like maybe next time I'll ask without cold foam other than that it was great quality coffee. I can see why there was a long line. read more

Tried the Chrome Latte and Strawberry Matcha and yes... both were delicious. We asked for the Chrome Latte less sweet and they made it perfectly. The Strawberry Matcha was super refreshing and not overpowering. The place itself is nice and clean, staff were super friendly, and service was smooth. It's located in a spacious shared parking lot so that's a plus. Definitely a spot we'll keep coming back to. read more
The chrome latte is way too sweet, could be half or even quarter of its sweetness. It's also just very heavy, almost like you're drinking a melted milkshake. It could use less of the foam so you get more of the coffee taste. The cold brew was super watery. Even upon receiving the drink you could see the watery-ness of the drink with how lightly colored it was. The line only had a few people at around 4pm and moved quickly. Parking is easy as there's a lot that it shares with other businesses. read more
Another spot that serves a delicious double matcha latte. Quite pricy but well worth it. It wasn't too sweet nor too milky. Parking was no issue! It shares a parking lot with other businesses in the strip mall. There was a line on a Saturday afternoon. Moves quick though. But def be prepared to wait around 15 minute to order, which is not bad! There is some seating but its quite limited given the amount of people that come here. There's a shared table, counter seats (which gets covered by the line), some stools, and 2 outdoor tables. Went to Chrome Coffee Studio and got the biscoff latte (25% sweet) and the coconut matcha. In my opinion, the biscoff latte was still really sweet even at 25%, but I think it's mainly because of the biscoff itself and the cold foam but it is still good if you like sweeter drinks though as this is also one of the more popular drinks. The coconut matcha was really good and light, and I felt like it was made really well with a nice balance between the coconut and matcha flavor. I went on a Sunday afternoon and the line was literally out the door. Ended up waiting around 30 minutes or probably a bit more. Personally I don't think it was worth that long of a wait, but the coffee itself is pretty good, so I'd maybe come back if I'm in the area and there's no line. There's limited seating inside (or at least it felt like it because of the amount of people they had inside that day, but I did notice a couple people getting work done and studying. The service was great though as everyone was really sweet, helpful, and gave great recommendations. Parking was also easy since they have a lot. read more

Even with an hour til closing, there was a steady line and much of the seating was occupied. Despite not being personable or welcoming, service was pretty quick. The interior looks trendy and is super noisy, probably a good spot for socializing! I tried one of their signature drinks, the Hojicha Creamtop. It's super milky and ultra sweet with a muted tea flavor. I prefer my drinks to be more tea-forward. Not sure if we can adjust the sweetness level, but I'll ask next time and maybe try a matcha drink instead! read more

I don't live in the Southbay anymore, but I was born and raised here. Every time I visit home I like to stop at Chrome! It was my first time ever giving a banana crème latte a shot and it was well worth it. Staff were really friendly and helpful as well! read more
If this place was closer to where I live, I would be a frequent customer! I loved all their drinks that I tried, which included the hojicha cream top, chrome matcha, and chrome latte. I especially liked the roasted and nutty flavor that the hojicha cream top offered. Service was excellent and quite fast. Cashier was friendly and baristas were quick with getting out orders even with the amount of people ordering. They do have a nice modern interior set up with ample seating-- there was just a lot of people studying inside but they have outside seating. Overall, I would highly recommend and definitely want to try their other drinks the next time I come around! read more
