Taro latte
Alan B.

Came here for a meeting on a Saturday night and the lot was packed. There were other stores and shops and I had to wait a few to get a spot. The place inside is huge and a lot of students inside studying or working on something with their laptops. What's funny was I thought this is Coffee Bean that's why I picked the place and when I got there I realized it's a Korean knock off lol. I ordered the taro latte. It was not too sweet but really hit the spot. It's a cross between coffee and dessert. We were able to find a spot to practice our presentation but felt all the tables were bunched up together so it's hard to get privacy. Overall: they had food/ice cream/desserts on the menu. We just came from dinner so none of us were able to try anything. Might be back again to try some items on the menu.

Nice spacious place with a nice seating arrangement. The worst is parking in this plaza ... but I would say it was totally worth it !! They have a variety of teas, coffees and desserts. They also have a few lemonade mojito options & sandwich options that are on an amazing baguette. If you need a place to study, or want to meet up with a few friends.. this is your place! If you are a sweet treat person, you definitely need to add Caffe Bene to your list of late night sweet treat stops YUM!!

I've always tried the Misugaru drink. And absolutely love it. Will definitely need to try their food and other drinks.

Cheesecake W/ Dark Chocolate on top

I met a couple of mu friends here to do a bit of catching up. I really wanted to try their pumpkin cheesecake but they didn't have any. So I tried the other cheesecake they had instead that had a hard layer of dark chocolate on top. I inhaled the cheesecake and left the chocolate. Lol! I also ordered a mocha frappe. It was yummy. The area we sat in was not as cozy. The chairs were so low that I felt like it was made for kids. Lol! If you don't have good knees, it's a really bad place to sit. The parking lot is pretty much always busy so be patient. If you come after dark, there is barely any lights on in the lot so be very careful.

Cafe Bene in Torrance is my go-to spot for a relaxing and enjoyable Saturday. Whether I'm running errands or just want to unwind, Cafe Bene has something for everyone. The friendly staff, delicious food, and comfortable ambiance make it a perfect place to spend a few hours. I can easily spend hours getting work done with their amazingly delicious Cafe Saigon Coffee in hand. If you're in the area and looking for a comfortable place to chill, I highly recommend dropping by Cafe Bene as soon as possible. I would like to point out that parking in the shopping center is extremely poor, and the parking spaces are very close together. Additionally, the 30-minute markers on the parking curbs are completely ineffective because they are never checked according to the businesses in this center.

always one of my favorite cafe a bit overpriced on their sandwiches though but its delicious

Would give it zero Stars if given the option. Walked in at 10am on a weekday, only one gentleman working on his laptop near the front window, otherwise empty. No Good Morning nor May We Help You from the two employees working the counter. Pricey Menu, poor service, needless to say we all WALKED OUT and drove over to Creme Pan. We just thought we'd try someplace different this morning..... Anyone who has been to Creme Pan knows their service and broad menu of fresh items sell out daily! Prompt, kind and courteous service confirms their manager has trained them well. Save the trouble of Caffe Bene's cramped parking lot too. Poor Service, Poor Parking, pricey menu....none and done.

Great food! The cafe looked spacious and seems like a place to go for doing work. The service was ok not too friendly, just direct. But the food was a great price and very tasty. Will come back and try the drinks.

Caramel Latte Macchiato with whipped cream (.75 cents extra)

This place is an amazing place for those who like to study in coffee shops! It was quiet and calm even though there were quite a bit of people in there. The baristas were very warm and welcoming which made ordering easy and relaxing. The coffee, at least for me, was smooth. I liked the Caramel Latte Macchiato more than the Vanilla Latte. We also tried a Ham and Cheese sandwich without knowing what it had inside. To my surprise it had what I believe was pickled onion! I enjoyed the flavor, but maybe next time I'll order with less onion just because I'm not used to it- yet! The cheese on top of the sandwich was my personal favorite. Their food menu had a fair amount of options so I don't doubt this will be my last time here!

Went here last week and I just wanted to make a review about their desserts because I think they're delicious and worth the price. I got a strawberry shaved ice dessert and didn't expect it to be up to 4 servings considering its size. I do think the ambiance is nice and perfect for studying or meetings.

The good: I tried the s'mores honey brick toast with charred marshmallow and an Oreo, a peach mojito refreshment (non-alcoholic) and a liege Belgian waffle with salted caramel gelato on top. I liked the crispy outside of the marshmallow and the soft gooey inside. The presentation of all the items were great. The interior of the shop is massive and has designated areas for laptop use or no laptop use (conversation areas). Lots of people were inside studying or working. The front left space was designated for reservations and groups. They also sold macarons and crepe cakes. I liked the peach drink that bad chunks of fruit at the bottom and fresh mint. The bad: They have croissant sandwiches but it seems like they use Costco croissants or some type of store-bought croissants. I suspect that the waffle is also pre-packaged and then just heated up. The drink was almost $8 which I thought was expensive because it was bubbly soda with syrup and a few fruit chunks. There's no outdoor dining. The interesting: I've been to a Cafe Bene in two other locations but their menus differ.

Place is nice and big. Food and service is ok. Good place for students who want to chill and study.

Honey Bread with Cream Cheese inside & Strawberry Topping!
Audreen F.

Caffé Bene has such a cozy and inviting vibe--definitely a great spot for studying or catching up with friends. I ordered the honey bread with cream cheese inside and strawberries on top, and it was absolutely dreamy! The bread was fresh, soft, and not overly sweet, which I loved. That said, the food and desserts are on the pricier side considering the portion sizes. While everything tastes great, you're definitely paying a bit more for the experience. The café itself is a solid study spot, but it does get pretty crowded, and snagging one of the good tables in the back (with plugs and good lighting) can be tough. Overall, a lovely atmosphere with delicious treats--just be prepared to hunt for a seat!

Ask the Community - Caffe Bene

Does the Misugaru Latte contain coffee or caffeine? I don't mind if it does, just wondering!

I have it a handful of times and I don't remember it having caffeine in it.

Are there many outlets to use for charging laptop/phone?

Yes. We have tables close to electrical outlets.

Are they open for indoor sitting, I need to find a spot for studying and coffee?

Yes this place is a haven for students. Wifi is available. I took my daughter last night to study and found several students with their laptops doing their work. There are several tables and different setting areas for groups or individuals. I am… Read more

After eating here, the difference was obvious. The food is amazing, authentic, and made with quality ingredients. The employees are always friendly, welcoming and helpful. What makes this place special is that it's more than just a restaurant -- they carry traditional Italian foods including fresh pasta, canned goods, bakery items, sliced meats and cheeses by the pound, sandwiches, salads, olives, condiments and more. On our last visit we were craving a French Dip Sandwich... and wow. The meat was unbelievably tender, practically melting in your mouth. We added provolone cheese and that was all it needed. Paired it with some macaroni salad and it was absolute perfection. Definitely one of those places you keep coming back to.

I bought 6 large torpedos this last Saturday and noticed they felt lighter than before (I buy anywhere from 4 to 6 every week). When I unwrapped them I noticed that the amount of meats was much, much less than before. I had to cut them in half, then use the meats from one half to build up the other half. I am hoping that this was a one-time mistake on the part of the person who made them. I will go back next Saturday as usual and buy a couple just to make sure. If they continue to be skimpy, I will no longer buy them.

We got our food promptly and headed home. The location was clean and inviting! When we finally were able to get into the food, we were not disappointed! The portions were generous and the flavors great! Especially for the prices! We got a side Caesar, which is large enough for two to share as a starter, a kid's penne with marinara and chicken, and two chicken pesto paninis. I forgot to order mine without tomatoes, but they were easy enough to take off, and I don't mind the residual flavor in this kind of sandwich. The chicken was generous in all three dishes, and had nice flavor! The marinara was just that, marinara, but a still was decent for "fast food." Also, their Caesar dressing is more of a vinaigrette than a traditional thicker Caesar dressing, nice and light and super flavorful! All in all, this was a great experience! Looking forward to trying their pepperoni, it is the kind where the edges curl up and they become the little cups of crunchy oily goodness! Try this place out! Just remember they close at 8 every day but Fridays and Saturdays!

The cafe also sells coffee, gelato (six different flavors), salads, affogato, and croissants (plain, cream, nutella, and apricot). I had a cup of house brewed coffee and the drink wasn't quite on the same level as other third-wave coffee shops in the South Bay.
