Cafe Bene reminds me of those college boba studying days; big spacious room, clearly loved tables and desks and people are actually studying here from what I can see..... large array of drinks and food items to choose from, mostly smoothies and some trendy banana creme drinks, waffles, sandwiches etc. They have a stamp card but its a stamp per purchase. Booo. Times are tough I guess. Its on a corner of a big parking lot but there's a lot of scary drivers around since its on a large street. Not too bad for Torrance.

    Iced Blueberry Matcha (Regular Size)

I got their iced blueberry matcha and it was surprisingly really good. The sweet dried up blueberries with the matcha went so great together and I don't even like blueberries all that much. I honestly wanted to try something new and a blueberry matcha isn't seen everywhere. Price point for a regular was about $7.25 which felt a bit on the pricer side but overall, the taste came through. The service here was friendly and welcoming. Ambiance was also great, there's quite a lot of seating inside and welcoming for big groups to come by.

The family and I stopped into Caffé Bene after grabbing food at Arby's, curious to give it a try. Their self-ordering kiosk was a little confusing since not all pastries were listed, but the counter staff was very kind and helped me place my order at the register. We decided on the Banana Walnut Cake and the Mango Crepe Cake. The Banana Walnut Cake was a letdown--it felt more like a thick slice of Texas Toast than an actual cake. It was warm and tasted fine, but for $13 I expected something more substantial, like a pound cake. The Mango Crepe Cake, on the other hand, was delicious. It had a light, cheesecake-like texture with delicate layers and was easily the better of the two. Overall, while the service was friendly, I don't see myself returning here for dessert. The prices felt too steep for what was offered.

Came here for a meeting on a Saturday night and the lot was packed. There were other stores and shops and I had to wait a few to get a spot. The place inside is huge and a lot of students inside studying or working on something with their laptops. What's funny was I thought this is Coffee Bean that's why I picked the place and when I got there I realized it's a Korean knock off lol. I ordered the taro latte. It was not too sweet but really hit the spot. It's a cross between coffee and dessert. We were able to find a spot to practice our presentation but felt all the tables were bunched up together so it's hard to get privacy. Overall: they had food/ice cream/desserts on the menu. We just came from dinner so none of us were able to try anything. Might be back again to try some items on the menu.

Nice spacious place with a nice seating arrangement. The worst is parking in this plaza ... but I would say it was totally worth it !! They have a variety of teas, coffees and desserts. They also have a few lemonade mojito options & sandwich options that are on an amazing baguette. If you need a place to study, or want to meet up with a few friends.. this is your place! If you are a sweet treat person, you definitely need to add Caffe Bene to your list of late night sweet treat stops YUM!!

I've always tried the Misugaru drink. And absolutely love it. Will definitely need to try their food and other drinks.

Cheesecake W/ Dark Chocolate on top

I met a couple of mu friends here to do a bit of catching up. I really wanted to try their pumpkin cheesecake but they didn't have any. So I tried the other cheesecake they had instead that had a hard layer of dark chocolate on top. I inhaled the cheesecake and left the chocolate. Lol! I also ordered a mocha frappe. It was yummy. The area we sat in was not as cozy. The chairs were so low that I felt like it was made for kids. Lol! If you don't have good knees, it's a really bad place to sit. The parking lot is pretty much always busy so be patient. If you come after dark, there is barely any lights on in the lot so be very careful.

Cafe Bene in Torrance is my go-to spot for a relaxing and enjoyable Saturday. Whether I'm running errands or just want to unwind, Cafe Bene has something for everyone. The friendly staff, delicious food, and comfortable ambiance make it a perfect place to spend a few hours. I can easily spend hours getting work done with their amazingly delicious Cafe Saigon Coffee in hand. If you're in the area and looking for a comfortable place to chill, I highly recommend dropping by Cafe Bene as soon as possible. I would like to point out that parking in the shopping center is extremely poor, and the parking spaces are very close together. Additionally, the 30-minute markers on the parking curbs are completely ineffective because they are never checked according to the businesses in this center.

Great food! The cafe looked spacious and seems like a place to go for doing work. The service was ok not too friendly, just direct. But the food was a great price and very tasty. Will come back and try the drinks.

Would give it zero Stars if given the option. Walked in at 10am on a weekday, only one gentleman working on his laptop near the front window, otherwise empty. No Good Morning nor May We Help You from the two employees working the counter. Pricey Menu, poor service, needless to say we all WALKED OUT and drove over to Creme Pan. We just thought we'd try someplace different this morning..... Anyone who has been to Creme Pan knows their service and broad menu of fresh items sell out daily! Prompt, kind and courteous service confirms their manager has trained them well. Save the trouble of Caffe Bene's cramped parking lot too. Poor Service, Poor Parking, pricey menu....none and done.

Caramel Latte Macchiato with whipped cream (.75 cents extra)
    Stephanie G.

This place is an amazing place for those who like to study in coffee shops! It was quiet and calm even though there were quite a bit of people in there. The baristas were very warm and welcoming which made ordering easy and relaxing. The coffee, at least for me, was smooth. I liked the Caramel Latte Macchiato more than the Vanilla Latte. We also tried a Ham and Cheese sandwich without knowing what it had inside. To my surprise it had what I believe was pickled onion! I enjoyed the flavor, but maybe next time I'll order with less onion just because I'm not used to it- yet! The cheese on top of the sandwich was my personal favorite. Their food menu had a fair amount of options so I don't doubt this will be my last time here!

The good: I tried the s'mores honey brick toast with charred marshmallow and an Oreo, a peach mojito refreshment (non-alcoholic) and a liege Belgian waffle with salted caramel gelato on top. I liked the crispy outside of the marshmallow and the soft gooey inside. The presentation of all the items were great. The interior of the shop is massive and has designated areas for laptop use or no laptop use (conversation areas). Lots of people were inside studying or working. The front left space was designated for reservations and groups. They also sold macarons and crepe cakes. I liked the peach drink that bad chunks of fruit at the bottom and fresh mint. The bad: They have croissant sandwiches but it seems like they use Costco croissants or some type of store-bought croissants. I suspect that the waffle is also pre-packaged and then just heated up. The drink was almost $8 which I thought was expensive because it was bubbly soda with syrup and a few fruit chunks. There's no outdoor dining. The interesting: I've been to a Cafe Bene in two other locations but their menus differ.

Does the Misugaru Latte contain coffee or caffeine? I don't mind if it does, just wondering!

I have it a handful of times and I don't remember it having caffeine in it.

Are there many outlets to use for charging laptop/phone?

Yes. We have tables close to electrical outlets.

Are they open for indoor sitting, I need to find a spot for studying and coffee?

Yes this place is a haven for students. Wifi is available. I took my daughter last night to study and found several students with their laptops doing their work. There are several tables and different setting areas for groups or individuals. I am…

I have gone with a few people many times and our favorites are: the Spanish latte, Mexican Chai, Chai Latte, and Mocha Latte. The Spanish latte is especially good, and the Chai latte is the best I have had in my life it's so well made. The Mexican Chai I can only describe as a cinnamon heaven with the best Chai base flavor ever. The Mocha latte is heavy in the best way possible, it's super strong and I love it. The best part I think for all the drinks is the baristas do not hold back on the coffee, and you always get your moneys worth. None of it is water down, and it's such a great pick me up. I can't really speak on the Matcha cause no one in my group has tried it since we aren't really big Matcha enjoyers. But I have been told that the strawberry Matcha is transcendent and absolutely fantastic. They have a bunch of Matcha flavor options as well, which would be amazing if I was a Matcha connoisseur, but unfortunately, I'm not . So I can't really speak well on that yet, but have only told fantastic things about it. The workers are all kind and work really fast so you get your drinks really quickly even though the line is pretty long. I will say the best time to go and get drinks is around in the morning when they open around 7:30 on the weekends. Again I have to restate wait is always 100% worth it for the amazing quality drinks you will get. I also forgot to mention the fact, you can customize your drinks to have different types of milk and they also have a bunch of other vegan food options as well. I think this is amazing even though my group doesn't really get those options, because I've been told even when people change out the milk, it taste the exact same, which I think is absolutely incredible. (Side note I may update this when I take a photo next time I go because I always forget to before I put on the top on and start drinking ) The experience is great. Unfortunately, my visit on July 25 was a completely different experience. The black sesame bingsu had a strong pepper-like taste, making it unpleasant to eat. On top of that, the taiyaki we ordered didn't arrive until about 30 minutes later, so we no longer had time to enjoy it at the restaurant and had to take it to-go. When we politely brought up the taste of the bingsu with an employee (a young man with glasses and shoulder-length hair), he became defensive, spoke to us rudely, and walked away in the middle of the conversation before we could finish explaining the issue. At that point, we weren't even complaining about the delayed taiyaki. We simply wanted to let them know something seemed wrong with the dessert. We did eventually receive an apology for the delayed taiyaki, but only after we asked about the reason for the delay. The employee explained that he had mixed up our order with another table. I've supported Okrumong for years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. Everyone makes mistakes, and a delayed order or a food quality issue can happen. What really stood out was how the situation was handled. I hope the management takes customer service more seriously, because this visit was far below the standard I've come to expect from Okrumong.
