Really good boba and variety flavors, but everytime I'm here there's only one worker. Always in the back disappeared, when I try to order in person to ask questions instead of the self kiosk. The service is super slow too. Even on the slow days where it's just me walking in, takes about 20+ minutes no exaggeration. The one making the drinks, also is in charge of the in person register so I've witnessed them stop. I also purchased extra matcha, no extra matcha in cup. Initially, "born to rule" now they're touting a "bobahi(gh)." ;-) In the early days, the small lobby was packed with customers, not quite out the door but filled. Nowadays, there's more or less a small stream of customers no matter the time of day. On a few occasions, I'm the only customer, then others will follow before my order is filled. The menu hasn't changed much except for the specialty menu. Staff are friendly & welcoming... I usually get a greeting shout as soon as I enter; they're also quite expedient in executing my orders between 2 - 8 drinks. I like that they don't overfill the cups with ice or over sweeten the drinks, though I usually order mine's with less ice & sweetness. I mostly order from the specialty menu & occasionally a milk or fruit tea. I love the Exotic Trio on a hot day! Green Thai Milk Tea & Peach Princess are my norms... I'm a peach lover, but there's something about GTMT's pandan & vanilla, floral jasmine, & earthy notes that keeps me coming back again & again. BobaHi's menu consists of: specialty drinks; regular & protein smothies; milk, fruit, & fresh teas; yogurt drinks; coffees; with over a dozen topping options at 85¢ ea. & milk substitutes: oat, almond, or soy at 95¢. Price points are competitive in the South Bay, & BobaHi's are in-line albeit slightly lower with a bit more volume. There's minimal seating: a bench underneath the bobaHi wall mural & counter with 1/2 stools facing the parking lot. Since our local fav MTS has been under new ownership, we've been alternating BobaHi with a couple of neighbors at the plaza across the street & at Rolling Hills Plaza due to drink preferences. Bobahi has the price point of a premium milk tea shop but the quality doesn't match. It's like a mid-tier boba shop when you're comparing to options elsewhere. Granted, South Bay has more limited options for fancier boba shops, so perhaps its location and accessibility makes it more popular. I've ordered a taro drink, a jasmine milk tea, and peach yogurt drink from here on separate occasions. All three times have been underwhelming. The taro drink tasted somewhat artificial and it wasn't blended well; there were still chunks of ice which kind of ruined the texture. It did not shine a light to Sunbright's taro in aromatic taro flavor. The jasmine milk tea drink wasn't great in that the tea flavor wasn't that strong, almost slightly watered down. Their peach yogurt drink had an okay taste, but the chunks of peach and yogurt syrup (or whatever is used) tasted quite artificial. Their boba also doesn't have that bounce/bite that distinguishes great boba from the not-so-great. This place is enough to scratch an itch, but look elsewhere if you're into more authentic flavors, as this leans a little more towards artificial and sweet rather than balanced flavors. read more

Came back on Saturday, 3/14/26. Perfect way to cool down on a hot day. We ordered the Exotic Trio and Brown sugar milk tea. The exotic trio was delicious with lycee, dragon fruit and mango flavors which are my favorites! My husband and I enjoyed our drinks. The only negative is that we wished they asked us the sweetness level we prefer. Our drinks were sweeter than we like. Nonetheless, we enjoyed them to the last sip! Service was friendly. Trying new boba spots in my new city! This Thai iced tea wasn't my most favorite but it was decent. The tea was brewed really strong upon first sip it wasn't sweet. However, I went ahead and asked for more sweetener and it was better but not the best I've ever had. We also ordered the pineapple slushy which was a 5/5 good! I love the speciality drink options they have & the menu wasn't too hard to look at/navigate compared to other boba places. The Summer Passion, however, as not too friendly. Compared to their electronic menu on display, the drink in hand looked nothing like that. The screen showed what seems like a bunch of fruit bits, but the drink received is fairly watery. Located @ The Torrance Crossroads. Big parking lot, always pretty full because there's a ton of stores all crammed together, but honestly I've never had a big problem finding a spot. One huge thing I adore about Boba Hi is they do split cups. So when I bring my kids, they can each pick their own flavor, and we split it into two smaller cups. They can have half now and half later, and I don't have to deal with them each having a giant full-size boba at once. Just a heads-up, they do charge 75 cents to split the cup, which I wish they told me the first time because I was a little surprised. But hey, it's worth it for the convenience. The crème brûlée is one of my absolute favorites. It's super good but definitely on the sweet side, so I get it at 25% sweetness and it's still sweet, but in a good way. They once accidentally made an extra strawberry cloud and just gave it to me for free, and it was actually so good! My one daughter is a big fan of their taro milk tea, and my other daughter loves the banana milk, which tastes kind of artificial to me, but she's into it. The service here is honestly probably my favorite of all the boba spots in the area. They're super helpful, always answer my questions about which drinks have caffeine and which don't. We were in the area trying to find a boba place that was still open a bit later on a Sunday night and BobaHi was one of the options! Love the cute dog and cat logo that they have and the simple and cute dog and cat decor they have in the shop and on their cups & lids. They have free stickers here too! It's a standard boba place, but I guess the unique menu items are the guava MT and they have protein shakes here too. The brown sugar MT and signature MT that we got were pretty standard in terms of what you'd expect at any boba place. Not bad, but not amazing. I got the guava MT which was the most unique item that they had. Nice fruity guava taste without being too sweet (I got this half sweet) or tart and the drink comes with pink crystal boba. My husband & i brought our girls for some boba. It was our first time trying it out. . The workers were nice and very helpful, who helped us out was Leo. If you're going to change your prices. Wouldn't it be better to change your signs at the menu FIRST before updating your registers. That way, customers like me wouldn't get surprised when paying. And asking why it's $1 higher than what you're seeing when looking at the menu. The poor cashier having to explain this to each customer is probably taking a toll on them. They have a super cute interior with various animations of boba balls playing, dogs drinking boba, etc. Brown Sugar Milk Tea w/ Boba - I got the new Taiwanese classic, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea. BobaHi does a great job with their version. Comes in a tall plastic cup, unmixed, so that you can see the tea, the cream and that brown sugar syrup. I gave it a few good shakes and it tasted like it should, sweet, creamy, with that rich brown sugar taste, that almost goes maple on you, but not quite. Their boba were warm and tender. I would not hesitate to order this again. They have tons of other drinks here... Creme Brulee, Avocado, Fruit Teas, Matcha and others. You can also pick up lots of cute free stickers at the counter. Wouldn't get a drink here again. We got the taro monster and Oreo monster and my kid mentioned the taro monster didn't taste like Taro and the drink tasted more like chocolate with big chunks of Oreo and was just ok. I had the Oreo monster and it did not taste like Oreo at all, just like chocolate milk. I also got to one section that tasted like pure salt and even mixing it I could not get rid of the taste and ended up just throwing it away. My kid is in agreement that we won't be back. Great place to grab some boba. This is probably my husband's top boba spot in the South Bay Area. He loves the creme brûlée boba milk tea which is listed as one of their special teas. Everyone loves boba, and if they don't, they will find other treats here like slushy's and iced tea to wet their whistle. The price is here are medium normal for Boba and add-ins. I like how you can ask for reduced sugar! When I went, it was a weekday afternoon and we were quickly served, and they accepted our Yelp discount at check-in, which was nice. They also have a shopper reward program, which can give an even better discount so keep an eye out for that. This is more of a grab and go place and not really a place to hang out. This ain't your typical milk tea joint that I'm used to. It's your super overpowered specialty drink place where all the hipsters go. It's my sons favorite boba spot. I can see why. We got the Exotic Trio cause it had dragonfruit. Didn't really know what to expect but I was pretty impressed when it came out. Definitely picture worthy. Felt almost bad mixing it up but we did. After we got it I realized I forgot to ask for it to be less sweet which I normally do at other boba joints. This one actually didn't need it. It was a fantastic mix of flavors! I generally stick to milk teas, but this smoothie really hit the spot on our hot summer day. They have a ton of toppings you can add like popping boba, crystal boba, jellies, etc. We went with the traditional boba which was chewy and good.
