We ordered a black milk tea with boba and the Unicorn Tears which is a mango tea lemonade of sorts with lychee jelly. Both drinks were pretty good. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy! I felt very bad because the whole time there was a line and people waiting and only one girl working. We had to wait a bit to order and for our drinks but I felt bad and understood it was only one girl doing everything. The menu is pretty decent with a lot of choices from milk teas to fruit teas and blended drinks even some snacks. There's plenty of seating inside too. We got the taro Oreo blend which was almost too sweet and didn't really taste like taro. It kinda tasted like cereal to be honest. We also got a coconut coffee blend which the coffee part wasn't too blended and was very liquidy but it had a good taste. I noticed the used powders for flavors here which I'm not always a big fan of. I'd probably come back for some of the simpler blended drinks though. read more

The good: I stumbled upon this place after getting dinner next door. I got a Hokkaido milk tea with grass jelly and a Unicorn Tears (butterfly pea tea) drink. They sell a lot of fun toys and small trinkets inside. Right now, they are decorated for Easter (or maybe it always looks like this since they're bunny themed). The interior is cute and small. I liked the cute bubbly cartoon art on the wall of popular artists/paintings. The bad: I ordered the Unicorn Tears drink but it didn't have the same colors as in the photo. I forgot to adjust the sweetness levels in my drink. I tried their jarred coconut jelly dessert and it tasted worse than I expected. I expected it to taste like Melo Melo or Kokonut (more like coconut water, natural coconut) but it tasted like sweetened canned coconut and wasn't as fresh/refreshing. There's no outdoor seating. I originally ordered the Very Orange tea but they ran out (and didn't tell me until after I already paid for it). I didn't get much of the roasted earthy flavors from the Hokkaido milk tea as it normally has. The interesting: They had some explicit hip hop music playing inside. After eating lunch at California Fish Grill, hubby & I came here for a drink. I saw this cute shop before lunch and decided to come check them out after. We got two drinks & a Kokonut pudding. First time trying Bunny Cha in Gardena after breakfast. The service was ok, no one welcomed us and the 2 staff making the drinks just looked at us and didn't say anything. We stood in line and waited for one of them to take our orders. I must say, the presentation of the drinks was nice and very appetizing. They tasted delicious as well. Make sure you specify exactly whether you want milk or clear tea, because they will not ask u. I ordered an osmanthus cloud, and i got a clear tea with a matcha foam top. I wanted a milk tea, I figured that was my bad as I shouldve clarified (tho I also think they shouldve asked), so I offered to pay for a remake even though I know I'm not gonna drink the clear tea. I also told them I don't want the clear tea. The cashier immediately took my offer and made me pay again, she told me to just take it even though I said I don't want it and give it to someone else, which was weird to me because most boba places usually will remake it for you for free if you dont like it. Whether this was my fault or theirs is for you to decide, but it definitely was not a good experience having to pay almost $7 for another drink when I know I'm not going to drink the original one. The foam to tea ratio is miniscule, and the lid is the classic plactic sealed lid so you cant even sip on the foam. There is no way you will even be able to taste it based on the amount they give you, you might as well just get a regular milk tea without wasting your money on the foam upcharge, which was a $1.25 I think. The drinks are also pretty mid. Will not be coming here again, I recommend trying DOL cafe close by instead. Service and taste over there is immensely better. read more

I found the place off Yelp and couldn't wait to try. I've seen a few stores come and go at this location and had no idea it was a new spot. Woke up early the following day and even waited around for a couple of hours during my errands to go pay a visit. They open at noon which seems late imo but I didn't mind waiting. I waited until 12pm and finally saw the owners putting out chairs outside and opening shop. I went in afterwards and noticed the decor. Nice tables and chairs inside and also outdoors. Cute motif and decor and even sold kawaii collectible toys and plush on the side. My first impression of the employees there--not so great unfortunately. I was the first one there and they just looked too busy, tired, or caught off guard a customer walked in. The gentleman looked up, didn't say a word, turned his back and said something to the lady. My first guess is he just works in the back and possible cultural or language barrier. Well, the cashier didn't really smile either. They didn't greet me at all. I had to ask if they were open yet. She of course nodded her head and I walked up to the register and a minute or so later finally came to my attention while I was looking at the menu. It was my first time there and already felt unwelcomed. I ordered my drink and was told the boba wasn't ready yet and would take about another 15 mins. So now I had to wait additional time, but I said no problem. I waited and it took a while. It was one order and I didn't get my drink until half an hour later. So 30mins to make a drink was a one off and a let down. I came in at 12 and didn't leave there until after 1230. I get that they cook their tapioca fresh but they had the entire morning to make them--let alone even just an hour or two before they opened. They open at 12pm which is already late. I assumed they don't cook their boba right when they open theirs doors. The cashier became more communicative after I got my drink and she did help me out with some questions and attention to detail with my drink. My overall impression is that the place needs some work. I support small mom and pop shops and plan to continue to support businesses as long as they are friendly and inviting. The pricing of my drink was expensive but I guess the portion was decent. But my suggestion is paying close attention to customer satisfaction and service as well as being polite and nice--greeting as soon as customers enter the door. A little step goes a long way because it shows customers are welcomed. To the owner reading this, I wish your shop a lot of success! However, perhaps proper training in the future to have staff smile more. When I mentioned it was my first time, there wasn't much interaction or rapport back in return.
