Craved some boba last weekend so decide to try some place new and chose Boba Beast. The plaza it's in has ample parking but doesn't seem to be a busy one for a Sunday. The place itself was with only 2 tables but it was neat. The female cashier and the gentleman making the dining in the back were both nice. We got the All Day Energizer, Super Detox, and Horchata Milk Tea. The drinks were not too sweet which is good especially for those watching their sugar intake. The boba was not great. I ordered three different drinks, a strawberry banana smoothie tasted good. The Thai milk tea was good. The almond milk tea tasted very artificial and super sweet. I also ordered a crepe and it was decent. The only thing is that it took nearly 30 minutes to get my order. The restaurant was pretty empty. There was one person already waiting when I got there, and some came in about 10 minutes after me. So I was confused why my order took so long. Needed improvement on their strawberry boba milk tea. When I drank their strawberry milk tea it didn't even taste like strawberry, it tasted like a granola bar. Overall it tasted sour, grainy and looked like straight strawberry jam. This made me physically disgusted and ended up throwing it away sadly. A friend and I came here since it was the only place open at the time we were craving dessert. My brother saw that this place was open and we decided to check it out. The reviews weren't so good so we didn't expect much but the ambiance was definitely nice and it felt super cozy! Rude lady worst, she yelled at me and my family because the cup she served us in broke as soon as the straw was inserted cup was melted we didn't notice until after. We only asked for a replacement or refund not one sip was taken of the cup. Horrible environment. Aggressive woman we asked what was the solution and she said to shut up. This sucks because children were present. Also a health hazard she thought just switching the drink from one cup to the next safe. Boba is also chewy but I wish it were cooked a bit more so it's more puffy. Popcorn chicken is also $14 which is a bit steep in my opinion. It does taste good tho. I've purchased two beverages from here. A milk tea and a pistachio frap. Both beverages were very expensive and horrible quality. I am more than willing to wait and pay for a product however, I will not wait for a beverage that is not worth the price or my time. Further, the manager is rude to her employees. I was craving dessert after dinner and Boba Beast was one of the only late night dessert spots available. We ordered a Nutella banana crepe with powdered sugar. The cashier was incredibly friendly and helpful, he actually suggested the powdered sugar since it could be added at no extra cost. There was just the right amount of Nutella/banana to crepe ratio and it was made fresh to order. The cashier was even nice enough to throw our trash away too.
