    Biscoff Latte & Ube Matcha
    Celeste G.

In town for the weekend and wanted to try a new coffee/matcha spot! My aunt raves about the ube matcha here at Lotus so decided to give it a try! There were so many options on the menu I couldn't decided what to order. I was feeling like having a coffee so I tried their Biscoff! First impression, it was STRONG! Once I drank it with the cold foam it cancelled it out and was much better!! I would order again (if it's early enough... I drank it around 4pm and could not sleep at night!) Oh! I also split a blueberry muffin with my aunt & it was warm, buttery, and delicious!

Just beat the rush. Since this is my first time, I went with a standard Jasmine MT with boba, less sweet and less ice. The drink was pretty standard...pre-brewed tea, oowdered creamer, sugar syrup (I watched the worker make the drink). Half sweet is still pretty sweet. The place has a decnt amount of seating...six tables with at least 2-3 chairs per table. Seems to be only one person working here (mid-afternoon) and there are over 15 customers waiting for their drinks. The worker was nice enough and didn't seem to be too stressed even with the large group waiting.

Banana coffee! 10/10 -- yes I was a little upset they ran out of matcha

My co worker put me on for some banana matcha, definitely had my doubts, but I'm always down to try new boba/matcha places. Banana matcha 10/10 Was wanting to order matcha again , but they ran out and we were all like nooooo So the second day (today) my co worker got me banana coffee 10/10 -- not a coffee person lately, but it was really good! Not too strong and their banana foam just makes everything taste better. My co worker also mentioned the cashier said "matcha will be in stock this afternoon!" Literally after work I went back and pre -ordered on their app! (Download clover and search Lotus Coffee & Tea to order ahead) I ordered 2 banana matchas (for work tomorrow) , and I wanted to try their signature milk tea (ding tea previously owned) -- and yes 10/10! For me. Perfect sweetness, amount, and reasonable price! My new go to spot for matcha for work !! They also have fruit teas, milk teas, some blended drinks, coffee, etc. I'm just here for the matcha & signature milk tea lol! Their tea looks really good. I think I might try strawberry tea next :) Inside is very cute and small didn't really got to look around, also a kiosk to order? Shout out to whoever made my drinks yesterday and today

Iced banana cream coffee with almond milk

I stumbled upon this amazing coffee house today. The wood accents and plants gave it a soft, cozy, almost luxe tea lounge feel. Matthew greeted me and was super helpful assisting me to pick out a coffee I'd like since it was my first visit. I ordered an iced banana cream coffee with almond milk. It had a banana froth on top and coffee crumbles. I usually don't order "fun" coffee, but this one had banana flavor yet kept the integrity of actual coffee. Loved it

Cute little boba shop off the 405 freeway. Easy to find, easy to get to. The self ordering kiosk is very convenient. I liked how they have to option for "easy boba." And ofc you can make adjustments on your ice and sugar level. I ordered Jasmine milk tea with light boba and my boyfriend got the black milk tea with boba. I enjoyed my drink. Upon first sip, I got the taste of the Jasmine tea which was very distinct, which I liked. I also liked the texture of the boba. It wasn't too hard or too soft and had a good chew to it. I guess my boyfriend liked his drink cos he finished it right away lol. We didn't really receive service as we ordered through the self kiosk. This shop has a cute vibe to it with mirrors and aesthetic walls to take picture.

When it comes to affordable coffee, tea, boba, etc. with pretty damn good quality; I dig Lotus Coffee & Tea Lounge. This place is wayyyyyy better than Blenders, IMO all in all in customer service to flavor of their drinks. The ladies who work here are always really helpful, patient and they give great recommendations even when it gets busy. It's always clean and such a nice vibe in their main area near the bar, register and even inside their restrooms. Parking is shared in a small strip mall, but it's FREE. My go-to drink is their warm chai, but their other drinks aren't bad at all and are better than many other spots. I'm pretty sure I'll be updating this review again in the future once I drink more and more of the other stuff on their menu. Keep up the great speedy and quality work!!!

I took a detour on the way to Culver Theater and accidentally picked this small shopping center. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the milk tea (Hakkaido Caramel) and the boba was soft, chewy, and warm. The constant stream of customers going through the shop is always a good indicator of their popularity. The sofa near the entrance was very comfortable, and I got a much-needed driving break.

Don't order this. It's so nasty

I tried calling ahead to ask if they had bubble waffles and an avocado smoothie, but no one answered the phone. Based on previous Yelp photos and reviews showing both items, we decided to drive over anyway. Unfortunately when we arrived, they had neither, which was disappointing since that's mainly why we came. We ended up ordering a taho latte and a peach tea (less sweet). When we got our drinks, both were extremely sweet. The peach tea didn't taste "less sweet" at all, and the taho latte honestly didn't taste like taho. If you've had taho before, the tofu is usually very silky and soft, but this one was oddly tough and chewy. The boba also had a strange texture. Overall the drink tasted more like an overly sweet brown sugar milk tea. It was so sugary that I started feeling nauseous a few minutes after drinking it. My drink is still basically full and I'll probably end up throwing it away because it's just too sweet to finish. I really wanted to like this place, but the drinks unfortunately didn't work out for us.

    Cookie Butter Ice Coffee
    Joy D.

I ordered the COOKIE BUTTER Ice coffee with oat milk. It was insanely delicious. Very much like a dessert. The service is exceptional and attentive!! Price is a bit on the high end. Overall, the drink was yummy. Parking accessible and small but new coffee shop.

Definitely disappointed when we decided to check this shop out. We used the kiosk and were having trouble finding our drinks. Then we were informed that they had no coffee drinks available which then explained why we were unable to find it on the kiosk. We placed two of the same drinks and they did not come out the same. We unfortunately had to send one back and it still looked different. It was lacking flavor for my friends drink while mine was fine. Highly disappointed on the lack of communication on which drinks were available.

    TAHO TARO MILK TEA
    Katrin M.

Hidden gem in Carson! This place is soo good! Obsessed with their drinks/lattes. Everything's taste soo good but my favorite one is the Ube Taho Boba definitely reminded me of Philippines! I also love they have soo many options to choose from coffee, matcha, tea, boba . Obsessed with the new hojica menu Service is amazing! They did my drinks aesthetically pleasing and the staff were fast and very sweet. The ambiance is nice, very relaxing plenty of seating and definitely good to hang and study. I will definitely come back here to try their other drink/lattes options. What I got: Pistachio Coffee UBE Taho with Boba UBE Matcha Hojicha Einspanner

    Michael W.

We tried Ube coffee iced and Vietnamese coffee hot. Both have good flavor, strong enough but not overpowering. You can ask for less sweet too. Service a bit on the slow side so keep that in mind when you're in a hurry. Nice vibe and music for chilling and relaxing. It's a quite popular place with small groups of people hanging out having a good time. Plenty of parking spaces out front. Right across from IKEA.

The drinks were amazing ! The customer service was 10 out of 10. Definitely will recommend my friends and family.

Whether you're craving a perfectly brewed coffee, a refreshing fruit tea, or a decadent boba drink, this is the spot. I'll definitely be coming back on the regular. Highly recommend!

I'm not a fan of coffee so I'm always deciding between their mochi, fresh fruit, or iced teas etc. My go-to drinks are the Yuzu Citrus No. 8 and Jasmine Frost Iced Tea (less sweet for both options). The Yuzu Citrus has the perfect amount of tang with a slight sweetness that cuts through the acidity. The tea flavor manages to shine through the fruitiness, and overall the flavors pair well with one another. The Jasmine Frost Iced Tea is very aromatic and brewed to really highlight the Jasmine. My boyfriend normally gets the mochi mango which has soft chunks of mochi mixed, and tart/sweet mango puree. I appreciate how the smoothie is never icy, and has a creamy texture. There are plenty of seating options for people, whether it's socializing or studying. It gets pretty busy and wait-times can vary greatly; I would recommend ordering ahead of time. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The only issue I have with the spot is that the drinks do tend to be on the more expensive side, with drinks ranging from $7-9. The matcha drinks are also not the highest quality, and often the matcha tastes quite diluted. Overall a solid spot!

My friend and I stood in line for about 15 minutes, and once we ordered, our drinks were ready in less than five minutes. I chose the lavender matcha, and I was impressed by how well the two flavors balanced each other. Neither overpowered the other, making for a smooth and enjoyable drink. My friend ordered the hibiscus lemonade and found it light and refreshing. One of the best parts of visiting is being able to enjoy your drinks in the spacious outdoor seating area around The Enclave. Today, we were on our way to Orange County and wanted to grab some coffee along the way. The shop is located in a really cute center with a great ambiance. There always seems to be a line, which is usually a good sign. The staff does a fairly good job serving a large number of customers, but despite that, it still took us about 20-30 minutes to get our order. The coffee was good, but not great--definitely not the best I've had. I hate writing negative reviews, but I wanted to share my honest experience and break it down individually. We ordered a flat white, which was crafted nicely, so I would give that a 5/5. As for the taste of the coffee itself, I thought it was average and would rate it a 3/5. My wife enjoyed it a bit more and would give it a 4/5. One thing I did not like was the milk they use. It is the cheapest milk you can buy, and I personally feel that a gourmet coffee shop should invest in higher-quality milk. For that reason, I would give the milk a 1/5. Ratings: * Coffee Craftsmanship: 5/5 * Coffee Taste: 3/5 (4/5 according to my wife) * Milk Quality: 1/5 * Ambiance: 5/5 * Service: 4/5 Overall, I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5. I personally lean closer to a 3, but my wife insists it deserves a 4, so I'll settle on 4 stars since there isn't a 3.5-star option. I think it's worth trying for yourself and forming your own opinion. In my personal view, the coffee and overall experience were not worth the wait, but it may be worth visiting at least once to see what all the hype is about.

The flavors were unique and inspired by Filipino desserts, which I appreciated, but I found them more "good" than "great." I also ordered the Nutella Croissant, which was enjoyable but nothing particularly memorable. One thing that stood out was the pricing. The drinks and pastries felt a bit expensive for what they were, especially coming from Orange County where I feel like similar cafés offer comparable quality at lower prices. Since I was just visiting the area, the price difference was pretty noticeable. Overall, it wasn't a bad visit by any means. The drinks were okay, the food was okay, and the service was fine. I'm glad I gave it a try, but it's probably not a café I'd go out of my way to recommend or revisit. If you're nearby and curious about Filipino-inspired coffee drinks, it may be worth checking out once, but I wouldn't consider it a must-visit spot.

Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.

The service wasn't great and only one drink was good or correct. I'm still not 100% sure one of…read morethem was the correct drink. I ordered 2 drinks through the app yesterday, the Honey Bori Latte (seasonal) and the Banana Milk Latte. The Banana Milk Latte was delicious once everything was mixed well, but the Honey Bori Latte was just bitter and then less bitter when mixed. It was already half melted, there was no salted honey cold foam or Jolly Pong which is supposed to be part of the drink. I got the order to go, so I didn't notice that my drink was wrong until I got home, so I couldn't even get it corrected. I didn't realize the drink was wrong at first. I thought it was just a flavor I didn't like even though I noted that I couldn't taste Barley at all. Then half way throught it, I decided to look at the description on the app to remember what it was supposed to taste like because it tasted like an ordinary flavorless latte. The description said there's barley milk, salted honey cold foam and Jolly Pong. That's when it hit me that I either got the wrong drink or someone didn't make it right because there was no flavor of salted honey and definitely no Jolly Pong in my drink. It didn't even look like I had cold foam topping my drink, but maybe that's because it was melting already. Overall, I was very upset and disappointed with my drink, but was happy my mom's drink was fine. Now this is only a part of why I was dissapointed with yesterday's experience. The other reason was the app and workers. Maybe the workers aren't used to working with the Smoking Tiger app yet? Or maybe the app still needs work, but the drinks I ordered through the app took forever to be marked ready even though my drinks had been ready for some time which was obvious because my Honey Bori Latte was already half mixed because the layers of ingredients were melting into each other. I arrived at the cafe about 5 minutes after ordering, but the app's estimated wait time was another 10 minutes which wasn't a problem for me, especially since I saw a person waiting for his order and some people inside the cafe, although it wasn't full like usual. I just assumed some people ordered before me, so I just have to wait a bit, which again was fine with me especially since I was waiting for my mom to arrive. At some point after the one person waiting for their drink left, I realized the 2 girls at the counter were just talking and not making any drinks. I checked the app and it still said my order was being prepared. After 2 more people ordered their drinks and received them immediately, I went up to the counter, by this point it had been the app's estimated 10 minute wait. I told the girl with glasses my name and showed her the order on my phone. Then she walked toward the fridge and got my drinks, put them in a drink carrier, passed them to me and then turned around while looking at the receipt paper that was with the drinks. That was it. She didn't tell me which drink was which and they were not labeled, so my mom and I just had taste them to figure out which was which. At most places, they let you know which drink is which, so I was just confused with the service I received, especially when the place wasn't busy. And to top it all off, my order was marked completed 10 minutes after I received my order which again just left me in confusion. I usually love this place and was saddened when they got rid of their Choco Mugwort drink, but I'm always looking forward to their seasonal drinks and baked goods. This time though, I don't think I was even able to taste one of their new seasonal drinks because it tasted like a regular latte with milk. I want to try their other current seasonal drinks, but I'm also worried about what I will receive in the future and I'm not ready for another disappointing coffee any time soon.
