Cute little family run boba and coffee shop located next to Tokyo Central in Gardena. Lots of parking which is nice. This place is pure heaven for coffee lovers luke myself and one can find a variety of different lattes, iced drinks and cold brews on the menu. One of their specials, the Shaken Spanish latte is my favorite. This is one smooth coffee drink with a perfect caffeine kick This drink is one for the books and one that will surely wake you up! Let me tell you something. This is not your ordinary coffee shop. I really like this place because of the drinks and the ambience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is really difficult to find a study spot that has comfortable seats and wall outlets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wish I discovered this place earlier. I ordered the iced Spanish latte. I provided my own personal cup. What they presented as the end product was nothing more than a beautiful piece of art in a cup. There was a cinnamon stick and it went really nice with the Spanish latte. The staff were friendly and nice and answered my questions about their menu. I highly recommend this place whoever loves coffee as much as I do. read more

I usually visit here when I'm in the area to visit family. I've been to Cafe Pruvia multiple times throughout the years. For those wondering what the difference between Cafe Pruvia and the Pruvia Coffee Bar is, there's a detailed sign on the window. The main difference is in their menus: Cafe Pruvia serves boba, tea, smoothies while Pruvia Coffee Bar serves coffee. Parking: There's a large parking lot with plenty of spots. It can get busy in this parking lot bc it's in a high foot traffic plaza. Ambiance/Environment: This is my first visit to the coffee bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's cozy & studious inside. They have a medium sized space with a good amount of indoor seating. Majority of their tables are for two seaters. Perfect spot to get a study session in and get some work done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]All tables were filled when I visited on a Sunday afternoon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: There were two baristas. Both were quick and efficient. Throughput took under 3 min after ordering. Drinks: I tried one of their seasonal lattes. The Harvest Latte contains hazelnut and caramel. The flavors worked well together. It is a bit on the sweeter end, but I still enjoyed it. They also offer milk alternatives at an extra cost of course. I always ask for easy ice bc I'm a sipper. They do not "fill the cup" as they have specific measurements. If you're staying there, they'll place your coffee in a glass cup or ceramic mug. If you're taking your coffee to go, they'll place it in a plastic cup. Pricing: More expensive than the average prices. I enjoyed my latte, but I'd probably treat myself here every once in a while. read more

There are a variety of regular options and seasonal drinks from which to choose. I ordered the hot Chagacino and my friend had hot Jasmine pearl tea. Each drink was well-made and the sizes felt appropriate for the moderate prices. Service was efficient and there's just enough seating with at least two chairs at bistro-sized tables. So I'm not much of a sweet coffee person I normally opt for americano or cold brew because usually the fancy lattes are just too sweet for me but their Butterscotch latte was chefs kiss perfect. If you really need a caffeine boost they offer blonde espresso and it's strong strong lol but good. Pruvia Coffee Bar is my #1 go-to coffee shop in the entire South Bay area. Even before they expanded and opened this coffee-focused sister store, I was getting my caffeine fix multiple times a week at Cafe Pruvia next door. Pruvia Coffee Bar has a cozy, relaxed coffee shop vibe. There's several tables and seats inside. Depending on the time of day, most of the seating may be occupied, but usually I'm taking my order to go. They have my favorite iced americano, hands down! I order it every time I visit. My family also loves the Spanish latte, cold brew latte, and honestly any of their seasonal drinks we've tried have been really yummy! read more

I ordered two drinks from here a while back. It was not good. In fact, it was pretty disgusting. This place had like the worst Einspanner I ever tried... the drinks here were not freshly made. Now, I get it that a lot of places premade certain stuff. I am not sure how many days old was the coffee for this place. I remembered seeing the barista/owner pouring the black coffee from a pitcher. I knew it wouldn't be good lol then he started pouring the foam/cream from a different pitcher or something. My heart sank... The coffee tasted water down. It also left a sour taste afterwards. I am unable to describe the other drink since I don't remember. What I do remember was tossing both cups away. read more

A very great coffee spot to visit if you are looking to study. They have great study tunes and a decent amount of room for people to study at. There is a kiosk to order when you walk in so there is little worker/customer interaction unless you have a question. Workers are nice from my experiences but they are more focused on making their coffee. Ham and Cheese croissant was great, was not given an option to warm it up so I will try to do that next time. I usually go for a latte, but I wanted to try something different so I ordered their Spanish Latte (light sweet), which featured fresh cinnamon and condensed milk. The cinnamon added a nice hint, and the condensed milk was present, though not too strong. As I kept drinking it though, I noticed that it became fairly watered down and tasted like cinnamon water - a "hint" of horchata even. While waiting for my drink, I was able to walk around and explore the interior, which was very relaxing to be in for studying, working, and catching up with friends. The tables are fairly distanced, and there is a large walkway to the restroom - ask for keys at the front! My only dislike was the setup that makes it chaotic near the entrance (pickup and order in same spot), though that shouldn't be a problem unless there are often lines out the door. read more

This was my second time at Pruvia.. the first time I got an iced soy latte.. it was solid. This time I tried the strawberry matcha with oat milk and it was so good. My bod got the iced double matcha latte and that one was super tasty too.There's a big parking lot which is always a win.. and I don't mind the kiosk ordering at all.. it's quick and easy. Pruvia is more of a...get in and get out type of place. I can understand the business owner wanting to optimize for efficiency with the self ordering tablet at the front; however, I would of preferred a bit more of a human touch. When you walk in there isn't any clear instructions and the staff just sit in the back talking to one another and not engaging with customers. I put in my order, they made my drink, and that was the extent of customer interaction. Looking back I suppose I should have picked the Pruvia Latte since others are raving about it. I ordered a cold brew, and it was decent. The pros though is that there is plenty of seating and electrical plugs, so Pruvia is a good spot if you want to get some work done. read more

My husband and I ordered off of a tablet that had all the options including their seasonal options. I got the pumpkin spiced cream top with oatmilk, less sweet, and no ice. My husband got an americano. He said he liked it and would rate it 8/10. I liked mine as well: 8/10. I probably should've gotten it with some ice so that was my mistake. It was super creamy so just had to make sure I mixed it well. But the pumpkin flavor was not lacking (which I love). It was a nice cozy drink. It was a little thick so that's why I think it might've helped to have some ice in it but I totally take responsibility for that one haha. Service was quick! This is really 4.5 stars. The place is so cute inside with plenty if indoor seating. It's next door the the Pruvia cafe. Don't get them mixed up. They're 2 different businesses. Staff was friendly. Such a cute and cozy coffee shop! I usually go to Cafe Pruvia next store for milk tea (which is also amazing btw) but was in the area and decided to try their coffee. I ordered via the tablet. I really liked that they had photos of the drinks. They also asked if the coffee was for here or to go. I did notice that everyone sitting at a table inside had their drinks in a glass cup or a mug which was a nice touch, as most spots serve all their drinks in disposable cups. I got an iced Spanish Latte with cream top to go. The espresso was strong and the drink wasn't too sweet, too bitter, or too milky. It was just right! I came here around 11 am on a Sunday and while all the tables were filled, it was nice and calm. Ordering is through a kiosk, but the baristas are still friendly! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little coffee shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Located in the Pacific Square right next to its sister boba shop, this place is a solid alternative to Starbucks and Dutch Bros, which unfortunately has no stores in suburbs close to the big city. The drinks are on the sweet side but that's how I like it. Not big on sweets in general but I do like my coffee to be flavorful. Gotta like something after all. I've had the Einspanner and the Spanish cream latte from here and both were fire. There is no delivery service to my knowledge yet though you can place an order for pickup online and it closes early. Those are my only two complaints about it. read more

First time visiting Pruvia. We were in the gardena area and wanted some coffee. I saw on maps that someone commented it's the "best coffee in Gardena" so I wanted to check it out. My mom wanted to pay cash but we noticed it was cashless and the barista pointed us at a kiosk to order. Some people might not enjoy that but it was simple to order. Since my first visit, there's been many competitors opening around Gardena, but I find myself drawn back to this place because of the balance of spaciousness (there's actually places to sit whenever I go!), quality of products (the espresso shot is pretty strong and they have many beans to choose from), and best of all, price of their drinks (specifically the specialties). While I wouldn't say the prices are a bargain, it feels more reasonable than other local competitors. One thing I do miss is that 2 years ago, the pastries weren't individually wrapped. We used to have the option of selecting pastries with tongs, the typical experience you'd get when going to a bakery in Japan. Hopefully they would bring that experience back again! It was super soft and fatty and ended with a heavy pleasant fishy flavor. The miso grilled cod was great. Not much to say about it was almost creamy and the miso was good. I ate the skin too and it tasted great. The main part of this place is the soba. The kikouchi soba are thicker 100% buckwheat noodles that were very well cooked and pleasant to eat. The Plum "Ume" broth was so refreshing and nice. I ate it cold; I probably would have preferred it hot but the is just a personal preference. The Ginger Pork was great. The pork itself was super gingery without being too pungent. The shredded cabbage was super easy to pick up and eat and the side of noodle salad and miso soup were great complements to the meal. I can tell no corners were cut anywhere and that Otafuku puts a little of effort into every meal they prepare. There is great care for all of the preparations and it was a very special meal. Spoon House is known for their Japanese-style pastas, so we got the Japanese-style clam sauce with mushrooms as well as the Japanese-style cod-roe and butter sauce with squid and uni. I was really impressed with how clean the flavors of both pastas were! I ate so much and never felt overwhelmed as I usually do with pastas. The seafood also tasted really fresh and the squid was buttery soft and not chewy or tough. They also have $1 salads which had a tasty, classic Japanese dressing and fresh greens. You just can't find any food for $1 these days, so the $1 pricepoint was really surprising! I also love that they gave a huge serving of bread and butter as an appetizer. The staff was super kind and accommodating, and the restaurant is very cute and retro. They have a small parking lot in the back, as well as easy street parking. Overall, I'm already really looking forward to coming back here and trying more of their dishes. Or getting the same thing because it was just that good!
