Love the nook but sad about today's experience and I'm most likely not coming back for a while. Going to come back when I feel a lil' bit better since they do make pretty good beverages matcha or coffee both always come out consistent. Today was mother's day and the Enclave was busy with a lot of people. They were busy too but the time I came, the line was not to the outside window as usual and stayed indoors so it was a steady type of busy. I ordered my island matcha and sat to wait with my dog, until I just noticed the people behind me just getting their drinks first, then another, then another.. A family came in and got greeted, that was cute, probably regulars, their orders were taken and promptly made. Nice. But then the next ones also were getting made--huh? Where's mine? I thought they might have had some online orders? I was still sitting patiently in front of the pick up counter because I didn't want to bother the obviously busy lady that's super locked in. I worked in food before too, so sometimes I get that some tickets go in front of others and the steady locked in flow of the line was really cool to observe but this was a little bit too weird since--oh another one got his drink right after ordering. My husband finally regrouped with me inside because we also had ordered from the Fish grill, the order was done from fish grill, but I was still there wondering what happened to my drink from Nook--maybe syrups needed to be refilled? Maybe steeping tea?? Idk but at this point I was getting sad since I just saw another walk away with their drinks after just ordering. I sigh, my husband asks me what's wrong. I show him my phone showing the receipt of when I ordered and he noticed it's been a while and he also saw another walk away who just ordered with a drink in hand already. So he goes up to ask them if the island matcha came out. A guy from the line sees the order number, goes to their ticket tablet and makes my matcha drink in less than 5 seconds (I mean it, they're super quick). My husband beckons me to grab my matcha and I come up silently to grab it and leave with another sigh. Drink tastes great. Though the just making the drink quickly and not acknowledging/apologizing that something went wrong was kind of sad since I already felt disregarded in the first place. As I walked away I heard that my ticket just somehow didn't show up but sigh. I wish someone checked on me if I was waiting on anything. I know it's on me too for not speaking up, but I trusted the process. I thought they didn't forget about me. I was wrong. I burnt my favorite mixing bowl today, we got turned away from my fav restaurant for lunch because they were full and we just happened to be the one behind the last queue that got accepted today. When you walk into a coffee shop and see Jetty beans and Sante matcha, you already know it's going to be good. I love Jetty's coffee in South Central, so this was a great sign--The Nook and Jetty definitely feel like they're cut from the same cloth. The menu is similar but a bit more expansive. I got a matcha for my sister and a chai latte for myself with macadamia milk, light on the chai. The matcha was a beautiful, vibrant green. My chai was a bit milkier than I expected--but that's on me since I asked for it that way. Still figuring out how to order a chai that works for my sensitive stomach, so it was just okay for me. The line looked long but moved quickly, and our drinks came out pretty fast too. Loved the outdoor courtyard setup--such a nice spot to sit and hang out. Every time I have been to The Enclave, this coffee bar has always been busy, with long lines out the door. Today it so happens there were no long lines so I decided to finally give them a try. Nook Coffee Bar not only services both hot and cold coffee, but also tea and pastries. Today I tried their iced Mocha Latte with oat milk and it was fantastic! So my friend has been NAGGING me for the past FIVE years to try this spot if I ever got the chance to - so when I happened to be driving through Torrance I just knew I had to try this spot or I'd never hear the end of it from my friend. And lo and behold, this spot really nailed their drinks. The island matcha and honey oat latte were not too sweet but pleasant overall. I just couldn't stop slurping up the drinks. Man I wish I lived there... well anyhow, we got our drinks fairly quick. The inside was so pretty and minimalistic and everything just looked like a work of wooden art. Yep...it's the Coffee Queen! Hitting up another coffee bar in Southern Cali! Don't be alarmed by the long line...I promise it moves fast and it's worth the wait! My "Spanish" latte was very good. Used to always love coming by Nook when I worked close by! My go to is the iced Spanish latte, their version is light as compared to other coffee shops, yet there's something about the lightness that makes it smooth and enjoyable. Service is your standard hi when you get to the register but not anything special. I do like that although they have lines and are busy that the order still comes out quite fast. So props to that! Ambiance is great because it's nestled in a plaza with a lot of other restaurants and a nice, cozy outdoor spot with lots of seating. Saw a lot of people just hanging out and talking or studying. Stopped by this location bright and early because I heard they had one of the best Spanish Lattes in the South Bay. THEY WERE NOT WRONG! We arrived right before opening (7:30 on Saturdays). Side note: get there early if you can if you have somewhere to be because by the time we were leaving with our drinks the line was really long. The service is immaculate, the staff were friendly and welcoming and efficient! By the time I was done ordering, minutes later my drink was ready! We were in and out within ten minutes The location is spacious and while there are no tables inside, there is plenty of seating outside and there are some benches inside to sit and wait for your order. I ordered the Spanish latte with oat milk (condensed milk, roasted hazelnut syrups, and cinnamon). This was the best latte I had. They know how to make the drink to where it's sweet and has flavor and you can still taste the coffee. It was amazing and I'm hooked! I also ordered the cookie butter donut and at first I thought it wouldn't be too great because it appeared to look dry, but it was the perfect cake donut. I came by the Nook Coffee bar at the Enclave to grab a drink while I do some work at the outdoor tables. There was luckily no line when I came, (~3 PM) and I easily enough put in my order for an iced chai latte with whole milk. The chai latte was delicious and sweet, the service was super quick and friendly and I was in and out in less than 3 minutes to say the least. The vibes in the area outside of the Nook Coffee bar are great also. There's a ping pong table, fire pit, and plenty of outdoor seating. I've tried the matcha latte here in the past, and I think I prefer the chai one in comparison. The store itself only has a few benches (with one hidden outlet plug underneath) where I saw someone doing work. Overall, a great place to visit if you want to grab a drink! read more

It's been a year or two since I discovered that nook opened another location here at the enclave. it's still very trendy, with long lines out the door, despite the sudden outbreak of coffee shops appearing all along the South Bay. All the baristas are very friendly and sweet - some I talk to every time I visit. The drinks are of top quality. A co-worker I introduced this shop to, goes every week and the reason she kept coming back was that unlike Starbucks, she doesn't have to make any substitutions. The quality is consistent each and every single time she goes. I agree with her in that every time I go, whether its the honey lavender latte, lavender chai or the matcha - the consistency is the same and the espresso is strong yet smooth. Additionally, after waiting in line and paying for the drink, I get it within a couple minutes which is awesome. The pastries are always fresh as well. I usually get them warmed. Located at The Enclave, this place is super busy and crowded! There's always a long line for this coffee shop. Parking is easy and free! There's a parking lot and there's several EV chargers. I ordered the Matcha Latte and my husband got the Spanish Latte, both iced. Honestly, I did not like their matcha. It was my second time getting it and was hopeful it would be different. However, it was the same experience. The matcha wasn't strong and has a very light taste to it. I got it sweetened and it was just okay. This is just my opinion though but I like my matcha to be more flavorful and creamy. Was disappointed after waiting for like 30 mins in line. I would say that their coffee is a bit better. You're better off getting their coffee. I don't recommend the matcha. Also, service was quick and friendly. They have a whole assembly going on since it's always so busy. OKAY, ITS GOOD. I came here a few times getting the wrong thing! It's all about the HONEY OAT LATTE. It's the right balance between coffee and a sweet treat. I had a relatively good experience at this coffee shop in Torrance! I visited this shop on a rainy Saturday early afternoon and the coffee shop was pretty busy despite the rain. For my drink, I ordered the Island Matcha and it was pretty good! The matcha volume was on point and I liked the unique flavoring of this drink. It was made with coconut and macadamia syrup which gave it this nice tropical vibe. The flavors worked pretty well together. It's also default made with oat milk making this a good option for vegans/lactose intolerant people. I was also looking for a coffee shop to get work done in the area and I feel like the experience here could've been better. I read reviews saying the WiFi here was good, but it lagged for me to the point where I had to use my personal hot spot. It might've been because of the rain, but I couldn't stay too long because of it. There are also some benches and mini tables to sit at, but not the most ideal spot to stay for long periods of time since they aren't the most comfiest. I also spotted a couple of outlets. They have a parking lot in front shared with other businesses. For bathrooms, you can use the bathrooms at the food court across. Overall, I would come back again for their Island Matcha and to try their other items, but I'm not sure about working/studying from here again. read more

With a line out the door, you know this place must be worth the hype. My friend and I went here on a Friday afternoon to grab ourselves an ice cold drink. We must have been in the area during the peak work lunch hour cause the entire center was thriving with people and let alone, the Nook Coffee Bar had a curved line out the door. You can scan the QR code to view their menu outside. The inside is very bright and open. They have a few products near the register like other branded or baked goods to go with your beverage. While there were plenty of great choices on their menu, I was craving something matcha -- being it my first time, I went with their classic matcha and my friend had their Island Matcha which they said was really good. Noon Coffee Bar is located in the Encore plaza. There's plenty of parking along 190Th street as well as in the back. It has modern interior and a large entrance. They sell lots of various coffee drinks, matcha, and tea. I got the matcha latte and service was quick. Tastes like regular matcha, nothing mind blowing. When you first walked into the shopping center nook is the first thing to catch your eye as the line is out the door! This definitely gave me hope on having a delicious matcha. Lucky for us, the line went pretty quickly. I ordered the island matcha and my cousin got the coconut matcha. After ordering, we waited about 5 minutes MAX to get our drinks. They work very quickly! I loved my drink and will definitely go back, my cousin loved her drink as well... it's her go to! I got the Iced Lavender Matcha Latte, which is probably one of the best Lavender Matchas I've had! You can adjust the sweetness too, which is nice! Good matcha flavor, and the lavender wasn't too overpowering. I also tried some of the Iced Island Matcha Latte that has coconut and macadamia syrup with oat milk. This one was yummy too! All of their Cha Lattes can be either hot or iced! Alternative milks do have an extra charge with the exception of the Island Matcha which already comes with the cost of oat milk baked in.
