Decaff Maple Oat Latte and my Matcha Cloud

Honestly,we're not planning to come here today but fate brought us here.I found the reason why fate brought here.I was able to finally get my Scone Date and Ginger after a long time.Whenever we here,it's already sold out.I was really happy even the male cashier find me funny when I talked to my friend about finally getting my favorite bread(I was talking in our language with a little English LOL,sorry I was just really happy).. For the Scone it was good but the old Scone Date and Ginger I get before is a little better and the bread is a little harder. This a good send off for me before my flight to Arizona on Sunday.See you again when I came back.

I'm a sucker for a good mocha -- I will literally drive across town for one So when I say the mocha at Bada Coffee exceeded my expectations... I mean it really exceeded them. Smooth, rich, perfectly balanced -- not too sweet, not too bitter -- just chef's kiss from the first sip to the last. If you're a mocha lover like me, this spot is 100% worth the trip. I've officially added it to my "must-return" list

I have passed by this coffee shop quite a few times and finally had the chance to stop by. The parking was easy and the indoor aesthetic minimalist in a positive way. It isn't the largest coffee shop I've been to but there is outdoor seating by the fountain and a few places indoors as well. I could see how this shop could get super busy because it's located right next to a high school. I was warmly welcomed into the shop and my order was taken promptly. Upon recommendation by the barista, I ordered an iced Spanish latte and a Matcha cloud to enjoy. The Spanish Latte had a slight sweet touch and the coffee was not overpowered. The Matcha came with a crème top that complimented the matcha as well. Both drinks were well balanced and not overly sweet. Being a person who likes to frequent coffee shops, my overall experience in regard to service and ambiance are positive. It was also interesting to see a robot pull my shot instead of a person (yes, really). The quality of the drinks themselves were also good. If I lived closer, this local coffee shop would be one I'd be a regular at.

I finally made it here! I had bookmarked this coffee spot a while back and it slipped my mind. Glad I came in! Bada Coffee is in the Plaza Mayor Shopping Center, off PCH. This space used to be a Starbucks but it has nicely been transformed into a modern sleek coffee shop. I placed my order and waited for my drinks. I noticed there was a robotic arm busy working! How interesting! It's called a Wingman Cobot... this one is Tom. He pulls shots. You can watch him from start to finish. Then the barista takes the shot to assemble your coffee beverage. My lattes looked lovely with the nice latte art. I enjoyed my Spanish Latte with condensed milk, roasted hazelnut, espresso, and cinnamon! It was a tad bit sweet, so I had hubby add more coffee to it when I got home. You can get tea, matcha (also tea, I know), and lemonade here. What I find interesting is that they only make & sell one cup size of hot coffee. They sell cookies and pastries but none have a price on them. It would be nice to know even though it seems to be the norm at a lot of smaller coffee shops! There are a few seating options inside as well as the communal patio outside near the fountain. I would definitely consider a return visit! I'd like to try the bada fog or hojicha.

I visited and tried their seasonal drink, the cardamom maple latte. It was good, and I think I like the taste of their blend. However the cardamom flavor was very strong so I couldn't taste it too well I happen to enjoy strong flavors like cardamom so I thought it was tasty! Their drinks don't run too sweet. Not much seating inside but it's clean and cutely decorated. Overall I liked it and would go back again if I'm in the area!

Very efficient service. Looooved the taste of the matcha cloud. The flavor of it had a strong rich matcha taste, but the cold foam balanced just out nicely. Not too sweet as well. There was a machine making the espresso! Ample seating outside. Would go back to try the coffee next time :)

Small vibey coffee shop! My first time going I was pleasantly surprised because the quality of the drinks were GREAT for a decently normal price! Especially for a good FLAVORED (I got mango) matcha drink I was very happy. I was hesitant to try the mango matcha at first but it was soooooooo good I totally would recommend and will be getting it again. They have a few seats. Communal table (no outlets though), a small counter by the window next to an outlet, and lots of outdoor seating in the courtyard. Plenty of parking in the lot and a bathroom for customers. Great wifi and i got some work done on my laptop here! It was so fun and delicious! They opened up last summer and im so excited to see them grow. I hope they expand the indoor seating. Can't wait to come back :)

Good coffee, nice location. Bada Coffee replaced Starbucks that used to be at the corner. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking and next to South High School. There's seatings inside which is nice for students to study after school. I ordered iced mocha ($6). It was pretty good. They put a lot of ice in my opinion for like 12-16oz cup. They sell lots of delicious looking pastries. Was getting big lunch so I skipped trying them out. They have robotic arm that makes the espresso! I would come back again. It has modern, nice interior which is welcoming. My dentist place is in the same plaza so convenient to stop by afterwards.

Came here to grab some matcha before heading to the beach! There's lots of parking in the plaza mayor. There's plenty of seating inside and outside by the beautiful fountain. The staff was friendly and kind. They had a cool robotic arm that makes coffee or matcha? Wish I got to see that in action looked so cool! I ordered a matcha latte w oat milk, i know very basic but the heart wants what the heart wants! The matcha was so good! Perfectly umami and nutty and not too sweet :) I will be back again for sure to try their other drinks.

Bada Fog. One of their popular drinks. Just sweet enough and like a dessert.

Not bad! Its Bada...lol. I like the change from the franchisey Starbucks to this more modern café take and the mood here is more of calmness and simplicity. I enjoyed my Bada Fog drink. It was more like a dessert! Will be back to try more items.

Really enjoyed the Spanish latte. Great blend of nutty and cinnamon flavor and goes well with the condensed milk. The espresso also adds a great kick with the caffeine and bitterness. They have a robot making some of the drinks which is definitely entertaining to some people. Definitely a good local coffee shop to support in the area!

Had the Hojicha Latte, Iced with whole milk. It was delicious! This drink came out in about a minute, no joke. Open and spacious cafe with a cool espresso machine and good drinks!

I had a mint matcha which was delicious. My friend had a cappuccino which gave us the chance to observe the robotic arm that makes the espresso shots. Cool or terrifying? At least they had humans finishing the drinks. I prefer human interaction at my coffee shop . Ample parking in the plaza parking lot, and nice outdoor seating around a pretty fountain. The sell a few baked goods options, but are focused on coffee and matcha.

Hi there! I love trying new coffee shops and I was wondering if you sift your matcha prior to using a bamboo whisk? :)

Hello Genevieve, thank you for reaching out! We use ceremonial matcha from Uji, Japan. We prepare our hot matcha by precisely measuring, sifting, and using a traditional bamboo whisk to froth the matcha base. For our cold matcha beverages, we use… Read more

It is a well crafted dessert coffee. Lots of places have flavored drinks that either feel like the coffee is incidental/nonexistent, or they feel like coffee with a La Croix hint of whatever flavor is advertised. The Amai banana turon, on the other hand, is beautifully balanced. It's like eating a slice of salted caramel banana bread while drinking a latte. Both flavors are fully present and complement each other. I usually avoid foam, since I can find the texture unappealing, especially when it feels close to bubble bath suds. The foam at Amai is thick and creamy and genuinely added to the drink.

This review is regarding a visit on June 1 between approximately 12:10 PM and 12:30 PM…read more I am leaving this feedback as a regular customer who has purchased different matcha drinks from this business on multiple occasions. I have consistently enjoyed visiting this location, which is why I am sharing this experience in detail rather than simply not returning. On this visit, I ordered the House Matcha with almond milk and paid $7.75. The drink was significantly underfilled, which resulted from my request for no ice. While I understand that removing ice can affect volume, the amount of empty space at the top of the cup made it feel like I received less than a full drink despite paying the full price. In addition, I was charged for an almond milk substitution, which further contributed to the expectation of a properly filled drink. The cup size also raised concerns. I recently ordered a Banana Cream Matcha at the same price point and received a noticeably larger cup. On this visit, the House Matcha was served in a smaller cup, and even the sleeve did not fit correctly. The combination of a smaller cup and reduced fill level created an inconsistency in value that was immediately noticeable. The most significant issue was that the drink contained no sweetness at all. The House Matcha is described as "perfectly sweet matcha" and includes agave syrup, so it is reasonable to expect sweetness as part of the standard preparation. Instead, the drink was completely unsweetened. There was no communication during ordering that sweetness needed to be selected separately, and in prior visits I have never been asked about sweetness level. This is also not the first time I have received a matcha drink without sweetness despite it being described otherwise. By the time I realized, I had already left the store and was unable to return due to time commitments, and it does not feel reasonable that multiple preparation issues should require a return visit. It is also concerning that there is no clear pricing listed next to the different matcha options in the matcha section of the menu. The lack of visible prices makes it difficult to understand the cost of each drink at the point of ordering and reduces transparency for customers. From a broader perspective, consistency issues across cup size, fill level, and recipe execution affect the overall experience. I regularly purchase specialty drinks and would be comfortable paying $7.75 if the product consistently matched the menu description, portioning was accurate, and expectations were clearly communicated at the point of sale. As someone who visits this plaza several times per month, I would genuinely like to continue supporting this business and have consistently positive experiences. That depends on clearer communication, more consistent preparation standards, and attention to detail during both ordering and fulfillment. At home, I am able to prepare matcha easily using a variety of milks, including almond, oat, coconut, cashew, pistachio, banana, and pea protein, along with simple sweeteners such as agave, maple syrup, honey, and organic brown sugar. I also keep ingredients such as whipped cream, sea salt, strawberries on hand, blueberries, and mango, allowing me to make specialty drinks like strawberry matcha, blended matcha with frozen strawberries, or other customized variations. Because of that, the value of a café drink comes down to consistency, accuracy, and convenience rather than ingredients alone. If issues such as inconsistent cup sizes, underfilling, missing ingredients, or unclear customization options are occurring across orders, it may point to a need for improved staff training and clearer standardization. Addressing these areas would likely improve the experience for both regular and first-time customers. I hope this feedback is received as constructive input from a returning customer meant to improve overall customer satisfaction and repeat business.

My friend and I stood in line for about 15 minutes, and once we ordered, our drinks were ready in less than five minutes. My friend ordered the hibiscus lemonade and found it light and refreshing. One of the best parts of visiting is being able to enjoy your drinks in the spacious outdoor seating area around The Enclave. Today, we were on our way to Orange County and wanted to grab some coffee along the way. The shop is located in a really cute center with a great ambiance. There always seems to be a line, which is usually a good sign. The staff does a fairly good job serving a large number of customers, but despite that, it still took us about 20-30 minutes to get our order. The coffee was good, but not great--definitely not the best I've had. I hate writing negative reviews, but I wanted to share my honest experience and break it down individually. We ordered a flat white, which was crafted nicely, so I would give that a 5/5. As for the taste of the coffee itself, I thought it was average and would rate it a 3/5. My wife enjoyed it a bit more and would give it a 4/5. One thing I did not like was the milk they use. It is the cheapest milk you can buy, and I personally feel that a gourmet coffee shop should invest in higher-quality milk. For that reason, I would give the milk a 1/5. Ratings: * Coffee Craftsmanship: 5/5 * Coffee Taste: 3/5 (4/5 according to my wife) * Milk Quality: 1/5 * Ambiance: 5/5 * Service: 4/5 Overall, I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5. I personally lean closer to a 3, but my wife insists it deserves a 4, so I'll settle on 4 stars since there isn't a 3.5-star option. I think it's worth trying for yourself and forming your own opinion. In my personal view, the coffee and overall experience were not worth the wait, but it may be worth visiting at least once to see what all the hype is about.

The Yuzu Citrus has the perfect amount of tang with a slight sweetness that cuts through the acidity. The tea flavor manages to shine through the fruitiness, and overall the flavors pair well with one another. The Jasmine Frost Iced Tea is very aromatic and brewed to really highlight the Jasmine. My boyfriend normally gets the mochi mango which has soft chunks of mochi mixed, and tart/sweet mango puree. I appreciate how the smoothie is never icy, and has a creamy texture. There are plenty of seating options for people, whether it's socializing or studying. It gets pretty busy and wait-times can vary greatly; I would recommend ordering ahead of time. The matcha drinks are also not the highest quality, and often the matcha tastes quite diluted. Overall a solid spot!
