Might be my favorite coffee shop in South Bay. Bada Coffee is kinda small, but it has extra seating outside in the courtyard with a water fountain. Their drinks are very good, even their cold brew is very smooth and tasty. We had one of their pastries, sticky bun, and it was delish. They don't have a huge selection of pastries, but from what I can see, the ones they do have look super yummy. Drinks- great ambience- modern and sleek (with a robotic arm to help with some drinks) service- very attentive and helpful parking- ample spaces in a strip mall location- off PCH, easy to find Lastly, dog friendly, with dog biscuits at the counter. What more could you ask for? Definitely one of my go-to places. Great way to spend a morning, sitting in the courtyard with the sound of water in the background, enjoying a great cup of coffee with my doggy. Can't complain!
Such a cute shop! Plenty of parking, lots of seating inside, great if you're wanting to go somewhere to work. Inside is very clean and spacious. Service was patient and friendly. Made my drink SO fast. I'd get the coffee over the matcha here. My friend got the matcha, I tried a sip and it was a bit milky for my liking but I did enjoy the coffee, cream top is a much needed addition.
Of course I became a regular... Bada hits everytime. It's just every drink they have is amazing. The consistency is there. The quality is there. I alternate between their Spanish latte and their mojito lemonade. They're both sooooOOoOOoOoOOoOooOOo good. I love love love love love love love bada. Highly recommend Spanish latte for coffee and the mojito lemonade for something more bubbly, citrusy and acidic. But also VERY refreshing.
I finally made it here! I had bookmarked this coffee spot a while back and it slipped my mind. Glad I came in! Bada Coffee is in the Plaza Mayor Shopping Center, off PCH. This space used to be a Starbucks but it has nicely been transformed into a modern sleek coffee shop. I placed my order and waited for my drinks. I noticed there was a robotic arm busy working! How interesting! It's called a Wingman Cobot... this one is Tom. He pulls shots. You can watch him from start to finish. Then the barista takes the shot to assemble your coffee beverage. My lattes looked lovely with the nice latte art. I enjoyed my Spanish Latte with condensed milk, roasted hazelnut, espresso, and cinnamon! It was a tad bit sweet, so I had hubby add more coffee to it when I got home. You can get tea, matcha (also tea, I know), and lemonade here. What I find interesting is that they only make & sell one cup size of hot coffee. They sell cookies and pastries but none have a price on them. It would be nice to know even though it seems to be the norm at a lot of smaller coffee shops! There are a few seating options inside as well as the communal patio outside near the fountain. I would definitely consider a return visit! I'd like to try the bada fog or hojicha.
I'm a sucker for a good mocha -- I will literally drive across town for one So when I say the mocha at Bada Coffee exceeded my expectations... I mean it really exceeded them. Smooth, rich, perfectly balanced -- not too sweet, not too bitter -- just chef's kiss from the first sip to the last. If you're a mocha lover like me, this spot is 100% worth the trip. I've officially added it to my "must-return" list
I have passed by this coffee shop quite a few times and finally had the chance to stop by. The parking was easy and the indoor aesthetic minimalist in a positive way. It isn't the largest coffee shop I've been to but there is outdoor seating by the fountain and a few places indoors as well. I could see how this shop could get super busy because it's located right next to a high school. I was warmly welcomed into the shop and my order was taken promptly. Upon recommendation by the barista, I ordered an iced Spanish latte and a Matcha cloud to enjoy. The Spanish Latte had a slight sweet touch and the coffee was not overpowered. The Matcha came with a crème top that complimented the matcha as well. Both drinks were well balanced and not overly sweet. Being a person who likes to frequent coffee shops, my overall experience in regard to service and ambiance are positive. It was also interesting to see a robot pull my shot instead of a person (yes, really). The quality of the drinks themselves were also good. If I lived closer, this local coffee shop would be one I'd be a regular at.
Small vibey coffee shop! My first time going I was pleasantly surprised because the quality of the drinks were GREAT for a decently normal price! Especially for a good FLAVORED (I got mango) matcha drink I was very happy. I was hesitant to try the mango matcha at first but it was soooooooo good I totally would recommend and will be getting it again. They have a few seats. Communal table (no outlets though), a small counter by the window next to an outlet, and lots of outdoor seating in the courtyard. Plenty of parking in the lot and a bathroom for customers. Great wifi and i got some work done on my laptop here! It was so fun and delicious! They opened up last summer and im so excited to see them grow. I hope they expand the indoor seating. Can't wait to come back :)
Good coffee, nice location. Bada Coffee replaced Starbucks that used to be at the corner. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking and next to South High School. There's seatings inside which is nice for students to study after school. I ordered iced mocha ($6). It was pretty good. They put a lot of ice in my opinion for like 12-16oz cup. They sell lots of delicious looking pastries. Was getting big lunch so I skipped trying them out. They have robotic arm that makes the espresso! I would come back again. It has modern, nice interior which is welcoming. My dentist place is in the same plaza so convenient to stop by afterwards.
Came here to grab some matcha before heading to the beach! There's lots of parking in the plaza mayor. There's plenty of seating inside and outside by the beautiful fountain. The staff was friendly and kind. They had a cool robotic arm that makes coffee or matcha? Wish I got to see that in action looked so cool! I ordered a matcha latte w oat milk, i know very basic but the heart wants what the heart wants! The matcha was so good! Perfectly umami and nutty and not too sweet :) I will be back again for sure to try their other drinks.
I visited and tried their seasonal drink, the cardamom maple latte. It was good, and I think I like the taste of their blend. However the cardamom flavor was very strong so I couldn't taste it too well I happen to enjoy strong flavors like cardamom so I thought it was tasty! Their drinks don't run too sweet. Not much seating inside but it's clean and cutely decorated. Overall I liked it and would go back again if I'm in the area!
Not bad! Its Bada...lol. I like the change from the franchisey Starbucks to this more modern café take and the mood here is more of calmness and simplicity. I enjoyed my Bada Fog drink. It was more like a dessert! Will be back to try more items.
Had the Hojicha Latte, Iced with whole milk. It was delicious! This drink came out in about a minute, no joke. Open and spacious cafe with a cool espresso machine and good drinks!
One of the top lattes I've had, and the best Maple Oat Latte I've ever had. What makes this one stand out vs other coffee shops is the consistency. It was noticeably smooth and airy - in a really good way. That's the best way I can think to describe it. It wasn't overly sweet like other maple lattes I've had too. Everything about it was just harmonious. The staff was kind and walked me through the menu as it was my first time there. Interior seemed clean and modern. When I went, all the indoor tables were full but there isn't too much seating there. I was able to sit outside on the tables there. Can't wait to try more drinks.
Bada Coffee is an independent coffee shop located in Torrance, at the Plaza Mayor Shopping Center. It combines Korean Café' looks and taste and it even has a robot to make your coffee, but have no fear, there are people there to help out. The place is ever so cute. It is spotless. The service is great. Even the robot is adorable. We love their Mango mango and all of their lattes are great. Their espresso is perfect. I wish it was open a bit later. We often end up there near closing. But it is one of our favorite coffee shops in the South Bay. It is fun, the prices are fair and again, they have a robot. They close at 6 pm so get there. Please stay open until 7, we will come. The attention to detail in every cup is consistent and amazing. You will love it. read more
I got the matcha cloud $7.25. I thought it did not have much flavor and tasted quite milky. Stopped by on a Saturday morning for matcha with the kiddo. First of all, the layout is more spacious than you'd expect. Minimalist and modern coffee house vibe. Then you see the robot arm ripping espresso shots at the espresso bar. Very cool experience and a a glimpse of the future. Staff is friendly and efficient. Now to the important part. I ordered a hot matcha latte. Had the option of sweet or not. Went with sweet and it was perfect. Great balance of matcha flavor popping through, with a sweet finish. Rich and frothy. 10/10. Daughter got an iced strawberry matcha. She rated it a 9/10 but also finished it before we were out of the parking lot. I had a sip and it was great. All in all, great spot to pop in for a high quality caffeine boost. Worth your hard earned dollars. Will be back for sure. read more

This is a cool coffee shop that stands out in that they have a robot creating the espresso for your order. My kids had a kick watching it work every time we stopped here. My daughter even looked up the maker of the robot arm and did some research on them. There are both indoor and outdoor seating, although we haven't had much luck sitting down to find a place to study after school. It's located at the edge of a fairly busy shopping center right along the PCH. Parking is always easy. read more
The good: I am all about new and trendy coffee spots! There can never be enough of them in my humble opinion. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The outdoor area is by a fountain so it made a grocery store parking lot a lot nicer. I tried the bada fog (signature drink with espresso, house cream and maple) and thought the flavor was nice and not too sweet. The cream on top was enjoyable. Their pastry options looked delicious. They have non-caffeine options too like lemonade. The inside had a bigger table for bigger groups. The bad: It had a robusta flavor but it was a bit too toasted/roasted for me. I'd say that it's not so much a study cafe or a work cafe but you could definitely meetup with friends here outside and sit for awhile. The interesting: The inside was very modern and open. read more
What a little gem! Ive been meaning to try this spot for a while and finally got the chance to. The place is upscale, simple decor, and makes just straight up delicious drinks. Theres a robot pouring the espresso and it seems like its made the process much more efficient since it came out in about a minute or so. The drinks are AMAZING We got the iced Spanish latte and cloud matcha. Both were creamy, rich, and we savored every sip. Definitely try this spot if you are in the area! read more

Checked tho place out as I was driving from Torrance to Manhattan Beach! The aroma that hits when you first walk in the door grabs the brain in so many delightful ways. It's a cute shop, tasteful Halloween deco. It was super chilly tho, being a sweater if you are gonna hang out. Service was fine. The Bada Fog was so completely delicious. My ham and cheese cress delightful. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie from Bread Lounge was awful- on the dry side no chew to be found. This isn't that important to me to. I look forward to popping back in. read more

Really enjoyed the Spanish latte. Great blend of nutty and cinnamon flavor and goes well with the condensed milk. The espresso also adds a great kick with the caffeine and bitterness. They have a robot making some of the drinks which is definitely entertaining to some people. Definitely a good local coffee shop to support in the area! read more

Lovely new specialty coffee shop replaced Starbucks at the Plaza Mayor shopping area. Very progressive coffee shop with a robotic expresso machine. Nice. This Sunday morning, the place was buzzing. Chairs around the fountain outside makes for a great setting to enjoy pastries and drinks on this glorious day. QR code to scan the menu but also menus printed at the counter. Is it artsy to always use the smaller font or am I just too old? Hmmm. Nice selection of bakery items but never saw posted descriptions or prices anywhere. I ordered the bada fog, which was iced with Vermont maple, maldon sea salt, espresso and house cream. Delicious. A long line by the time I was leaving. Welcome to the neighborhood. See you next time. I had a mint matcha which was delicious. My friend had a cappuccino which gave us the chance to observe the robotic arm that makes the espresso shots. Cool or terrifying? At least they had humans finishing the drinks. I prefer human interaction at my coffee shop . Ample parking in the plaza parking lot, and nice outdoor seating around a pretty fountain. The sell a few baked goods options, but are focused on coffee and matcha. read more

I was surprised to see so many workers present on a Saturday morning! They had a super cool machine pouring the coffee and staff made the specialty drink. The wait was super short! I thought the machine would replace people but seems like there was one machine and many staff. Regardless the price point was fairly cheap, especially being on south Torrance area. This place will be dangerous for me as I go to south high every weekend right now. I will have to fight the urge to go every weekend lol Staff are friendly Coffee were both delicious! Second time coming here and honestly, I'm impressed again! My first visit was on a Saturday morning, and I was surprised there wasn't a line out the door because their coffee is really good ...definitely one of the best in this area. I'm a cream top girly, and their Bada Fog totally satisfied me! Not too sweet, perfectly strong, and I didn't get any jitters. My son got the Matcha Cloud, and I tried a sip..also really good. Bonus points because the espresso is made by a robot, which was cool to watch! The drinks are aesthetically pleasing, the vibe is nice, and overall I enjoyed this place. Parking isn't huge, but both times I came, I found a spot right away. Plus, there's a Dollar Tree right next door so always a win. read more
Cool new cafe in South Torrance! They have a robot arm barista making the espresso which was unique and cool to see. I've tried 3 of their drinks so far: - Bada Fog: this is supposed to be one of their signature drinks but I didn't love this one. It was a little too milky and bland for me. It didn't stand out to me in flavor and I probably wouldn't get this again. - Strawberry Matcha: good flavor! But the matcha wasn't whisked/blended completely and it was a bit grainy on the bottom. - Orange Blossom: this one was my favorite of the drinks I've tried so far. The orange flavor is subtle and goes so well with their coffee! Very balanced in the level of coffee, sweetness, and flavor. They were all out of pastries in the two afternoons I visited. They only had a few cookies for sale that they seem to bring from another bakery in LA. There isn't much seating inside so I wouldn't recommend it as a place to gather in groups. There are more tables outside though but overall, it's better for 1-2 people. More of a to-go kind of place. Parking: free in plaza lot read more
Cool space to be in. They have a good mix of being able to do your work/ homework and being able to catch up with a friend. They have a mechanical robot coffee maker. I didn't ask anything about it but I did see it moving. I can't remember if it actually was making a drink. My fiancé ordered the mint matcha and that was pretty good. This coming from someone who hasn't yet been bitten with the whole rave about matcha. I enjoyed their Bada fog. The price value is normal for coffee. read more
Bada is a new local favorite. It was my first time and I can tell it was a place people go regularly already. Inside is nice, clean with some seating indoor and outdoor. Outdoor was popular because the fountain gives it a nice relaxing ambiance. They had a nice selection of pastries and coffee drinks. See pic! Service was fast and friendly. I think at least 5-6 people working the front. They have the human baristas with the support of a robotic arm that handled the expresso side. Overall the coffee is good. But we did order the specialty drink, so: Spanish latte with macadamia milk (comes with whole milk) 9/10 -- I think they can up the spice a notch, but yummy Maple latte 9/10 -- it can be more maple taste. I think we will get their regular coffee, as it is really good by itself. We also got their beautiful glowing croissant, it was good and strong. The blueberry vanilla muffin was realllly good with fresh blueberries, moist, not dry at all 10/10! Go check it out! read more
Stopped by this place after seeing it on Instagram and realizing it was on the way to my Sunday beach walks. Very clean aesthetic inside. Great menu options. They also have a robot arm preparing the coffee, which my son seemed to find very interesting. I love asking for recommendations for drinks and hearing what the barista have to say. I tried a bottle fog based off of the barista's recommendation and I really did love it. I am usually more of a Matcha girl but lately I have been wanting some really good coffee and This one was really great with the house cream on top that was not very overpowering. Inside was very clean, not a place I would think about ordering a coffee and sitting to read my book. But they did have some nice spaces outside by the fountain that were very enjoyable for visiting with a friend or even sitting outside to work or read a book. Definitely gonna make this a place to stop when I'm coming back from my walks. read more

I found this coffee shop as I was near the area and wanted to try a new place. I must say that it is located in the perfect spot. Right outside was an inviting area to sit near a water fountain with plenty of seating. I was surprised to see a robot barista assisting with making the expresso coffee's. It is quite efficient and entertaining to watch. I will be returning primarily for the coffee! I had a Spanish latte with oat milk. It was absolutely delicious and quite smooth. My husband ordered a cafe Americano and he said it was very rich, dark, smooth and delicious. My daughter ordered a strawberry matcha and she loved it. She said it was the best she ever had. I highly recommend this place if you love coffee. I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

Very efficient service. Looooved the taste of the matcha cloud. The flavor of it had a strong rich matcha taste, but the cold foam balanced just out nicely. Not too sweet as well. There was a machine making the espresso! Ample seating outside. Would go back to try the coffee next time :) read more
