OFFSET.... Not the rapper, the coffee shop! I've been hooked on their dirty horchata for YEARS now. It could be store bought horchata mix for all I know but it is uuuhhhhhMAAYYYZZZIINNGGG!!!! It hits everytime!! All the dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, all of them rush my brain once that first sip hits. This location is much smaller with the most horrid parking spots known to man. & with the traffic on Crenshaw.... Phew good luck. Anyways love my dirty horchata!! While in the area, I stopped by to grab a quick morning coffee and a bite to go. I ordered the Hazelnut Iced Latte and the Egg Salad Toast. Unfortunately, the coffee was very mediocre. It was overly milky, watery, and packed with syrup - I couldn't taste the actual coffee at all. I definitely don't recommend it. The toast was also a disappointment, as it was way too salty. Given the high price and the establishment's strong overall rating, I expected a much better experience. To make matters worse, the service was nonexistent. Offset has become one of my regular coffee stops, mostly for the beans! I come by pretty much weekly to grab a bag of the Shaw, which is affordable and makes a really solid latte at home. At this point, that's probably 90% of the reason I'm here lol. When I'm not just restocking beans, I'll usually grab a vanilla oat latte. It's decent! Definitely not my favorite latte in the South Bay, but it gets the job done when I want something quick and easy. The staff is usually friendly, and I've never had any issues with service. My only real complaint is the parking. The lot is TIGHT, so this is definitely more of an "in and out before someone blocks me in" type of coffee run for me . Offset does a great job of building a loyal local customer base with their array of drinks and bites. My personal favorites are their iced dirty horchata, hot lavender matcha latte, and cinnamon chai croissant. There's usually a tiny chalk board displaying seasonal drinks by the register. I recall having an apple cinnamon cold brew back in the fall over a year ago and really enjoyed it. So take this as a sign to try their experimental bevs that aren't on the traditional menu if you get a chance! The vibe of the shop gives minimalist - nothing flashy about this place, but it's clean and you can even purchase merch from there too. One major con: small, cramped parking lot. For this reason, I'm usually in for a quick pick me up and out. read more

Saw the sign for the place as I was driving by and thought I'd stop to treat myself to an afternoon pick me up. Boy, was I very pleasantly surprised! Though there were five people ahead of us, the line moved quickly. Moreso, our lattes came out very quickly as well. The two baristas were friendly and efficient. About the drinks- the hazelnut latte was what you'd expect from a good coffee place, tasty, flavorful, and hot. The Earl Grey latte was well balanced in flavor. The off-menu root beer latte was our favorite. At first, it tasted like a good mocha latte, but then the sarsaparilla began to assert itself. I never thought root beer and espresso could go together, but their union produced a whole new wonderful taste! I'm certainly coming back when I'm back in Torrance. read more

This particular Offset Coffee Roasters is the smaller one as opposed to the others. Parking is a toss up, so go when you think it's not going to be as busy, otherwise you're stuck having to park at the huge strip mall across the huge street in between it. You will end up playing a real life version of Frogger, so yeah.... It's small and cozy in here. It's as if it can be a damn coffee spot for The Shire, which would then cater to Hobbits and little people wrestlers. I remember going here when it wasn't as popular, but now it's getting more fame and a bigger spot nearby as well. Much love and continued success to them! Their coffee isn't bad. I had their Dirty Horchata Latte with a shot of espresso. You can taste the perfect dark (not the damn Nintendo 64 game!) deliciousness of the espresso and its hipster-like flavor of potency, depending on who makes your drink. Customer service and restrooms were top tier quality! I see that they have your standard avocado toast and other goodies to try, but I honestly haven't tried those yet. Might have to come back to try that and their flat white when I do indeed come back. They have a nice nerdy shop that sells cool random Sanrio and Anime stuff next to this place too; so that kind of gives you motivation to come back here as well! read more

Not everyone drinks coffee every single day so you sometimes walk in not knowing exactly what to order. My kids and i experience here was understanding caring and very kind. We were all able to explain to them what we liked and didn't and everyone got drinks that honestly tasted better than the ones we got at big branch corporate shop. It normally takes my kids a while to drink things but they enjoyed it so much the small walk to the vet next door they hand dranked it all . Came here to grab a morning coffee while my son was in a swim meet at a nearby pool. I had the dirty horchata, and it tasted pretty good. Service was fast and friendly enough. She did tell me that it comes with either whole milk or oat milk. I elected for oatmilk, but then surprisingly, there is actually a $.50 surcharge for this. It would have been nice if that was disclosed on the initial comment that she made. In addition, the store did have a bit of a bathroom smell. I'm not sure if the bathroom needed to be cleaned or maybe an air freshener needed to be replaced. Either way, the scent did creep out of the bathroom into the rest of the small place. The coffee was very good, so it's still a solid 4 stars. Next time, I would probably elect the whole milk, and I am going to assume the bathroom was a one off incident. Prices are not cheap ($7 for a coffee), but I get it...it's California..... read more

Sadly, this was probably my last visit to this location. I stopped in on my way to work to grab coffee and breakfast. I noticed on the menu they no longer had the bfast biscuits which is what I came for, and that's probably my bad if it's been gone for a while. No big deal, I ordered the avocado toast instead, but the barista shared that they were out of toast Apparently they didn't get their bread delivery. So no breakfast for me. I got my usual coffee, nitro vanilla cold brew, and for whatever reason it tasted watery and kinda bland. There's no ice so it really shouldn't be that way. Sometimes you don't know what you have until it's gone. Thankfully, Offset is still here. I recently started buying my home beans from Offset and wow--what a difference! It's a delight to drink black so you can taste all the delightful this-es and that-as. I didn't realize how delightful until today--when I ran out. I woke up super early and thought I'd just grab some blonde roast from one of the chains on my way to work, and it wouldn't be as good, but would be ok. No. It. Wasn't. It tasted like ash, like so so bad. I tried another two coffee houses, one of them a local spot in Newport Beach. That was drinkable, but it was no Offset. I am beyond thankful for Offset coffee for roasting the most delicious beans available. On top of that, their baristas are always quite friendly and accommodating. While there isn't much room inside, there's enough for you to enjoy your coffee and avocado toast before setting off for your day. I thought about writing them a nice note to say how much I appreciate their expertise but then figured maybe this would be more helpful. Go now, buy some beans, romanticize your mornings. This is truly a coffee bean of quality you can build a morning ritual around. Thank goodness they're right up the road. read more

First time here after seeing so many people post the recognizable Off Set stickered cups. Pulling up, parking was a bit tight. Going in the coffee shop is fairly small. There's 2 tables and a bar table inside and 3 tables outside. The workers were very helpful and guided us to the drinks we ordered. They keep the place nice and clean. Drinks were made quickly and they were delicious. I enjoyed the cinnamon-y Dirty Horchata. It was on the sweet side, so if you are looking for something stronger and less sweet this might not be it. We also got the Strawberry Matcha and that too was on the sweet side, but very tasty. The cold foam on top makes the drink. They definitely have plenty options of other coffee, coffee on draft, and teas. Aside from drinks they have a few different toast options and biscuits to have for a bite. Horchata latte was too sweet for me but perfectly "not too sweet" for my girlfriend (she has a sweet tooth, me not so much). But overall the flavor was great for horchata latte it really was a treat! I've been there a couple of times because it's literally the closest coffee shop to where I work. The first time I tried their iced vanilla latte, it was just okay. Not horrible, but not that "oh my gosh, I need this in my life" kind of coffee. It was a bit watery, and the sweetness level just felt kind of meh. I gave them another shot because, you know, life happens, and I needed coffee in a rush. Tried their Dirty Horchata, and it just wasn't for me. I realized I'm not a cinnamon-in-my-coffee kind of person, so that was probably on me. It tasted more like watered down horchata with a bitter twist. The parking situation is kind of a pain. It's a tiny lot on a busy street, and it's not exactly the easiest spot to get in and out of, especially if you're in a hurry. So that's another little heads-up. I really wanted to like the drinks here, but I think I got bad luck on the two drinks I got. Not on the fault of the barista at all - just flavor preference. I got the coconut seasonal oat milk latte and the horchata. The coconut was just not a favorite but if you love coconut, you would dig it. The horchata was suuuupppeer sweet. I really wanted to try the matcha pistachio drink, but apparently that was a seasonal drink in January. My daughter got a banana chocolate chip muffin which tasted great. The two ladies there helping us out were super friendly! Parking was not the greatest. Not a ton of spots and it's super tight spaces right off of a busy street. We randomly found this place in Torrance. It is a tiny place in a tiny plaza. There is no room for groups. Maybe 10 people, at most, can stand in there. The staff were very nice and educated in their stuff. We had the matcha latte and a cappuccino. Both were delicious. Hopefully they come up with some more creative. Very cute and homey coffee shop. The inside is small, not for groups, but when I went it was low-key and there was plenty of elbow room for the couple of us who were working. The staff was very nice and the visitors were slow but steady. Lots of to-go orders and regulars. The small outside patio was a nice size but it was muggy the day I was there. People who work here literally feel like they hate their jobs, I come here every week and treat you so indifferent despite that I tip every single time, the coffee is always a hit or miss, depends on who makes it which sucks because it isn't cheap at all so usually goes all in the trash. And for whatever reason this is an unacceptable avocado toast, the color of it it's just wrong and tastes moldy. They need to do better like at the other locations. The Dirty Horchata is great if you have a sweet tooth or whatever they make the horchata in house everyday! I love a good Cortado on a cool day and an iced americano on a hot one.
