It's a lovely coffee shop with plenty of seating and great Filipino pride. I had the banana turon latte, garnished with fried spring roll wrapper. It was a fun dessert latte, but lacked espresso flavor. I'm relieved that their whole milk is lactose free. However the hot and cold drinks are served in different sizes. Cold drinks are served in larger size, so it's an additional $1. The cashier was really kind and helped prepared drinks during the morning rush. I might stick with their hot coffee drinks if I decided to revisit.

This is one of the best coffee shops in the South Bay. The customer service is always kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. It's also a great spot to work or study the atmosphere is comfortable and easy to settle into for a few hours. They use coffee beans from the Philippines, and you can really taste the depth of flavor without it being overwhelmed by syrups or add-ins. One of their best drinks is the Shaken Bibingka. It's so addicting. I also tried their chicken siopao, and it was so good I honestly couldn't tell if it was store-bought or homemade, but either way it was savory & delicious. It reminded me of my grandma's. My family is from Pampanga in the Philippines, so we know good food, iykyk.

Highly improved, my recent visit was positive! I was in the area to do some early errands and they opened at 7am. I ordered two iced drinks: 1. A matcha latte with almond milk and two stevias. 2. An ube matcha latte with oat milk. Both were good, specifically the ube matcha because it wasn't overly sweet. I also ordered two everything croissants and they were tasty. They were stuffed with cream cheese, warmed up and so flakey. The cost was $32.66 including tax and tip. They also sell ready to eat food like burritos. Service was welcoming and the wait time was reasonable! The space is utilized with plenty of seating. They still have their Tayo Na library which was cool!

Book area for adults and kids!

My very first coffee was not the best but I'm happy I returned and now I go every single day. Teofilo is probably one of the BEST coffee companies I have ever, EVER tried. My husband got the iced Bibingka latte and I got the Turon Latte. How DELICIOUS these were! It has easily become our favorite go to's! Can't wait for our next visit! And how lucky am I that it's down the street

Needed a place to do some work & found this cute little spot during my search. What a gem of a coffee shop! Ambiance is very chill -- lots of outlets and the chairs were actually pretty comfy. There is also ample seating, with some 4 person tables too if you're coming with a group. I love how they have snack options here in case you get hungry while working. I got the turon latte, pork siopao, & ube pan de sal. The turon latte was strong, but tasty if you like bananas! Sio pao was okay, but it hit the spot for something savory. The ube pan de sal was yummy. I'd definitely come back for both the coffee & the vibes!

Filipino owned café using coffee beans from the Philippines. It's definitely a nice addition to this part of Carson. Parking is free at the adjoining car park.

The Ube latte is ok, wasn't the best I've ever had but it was drinkable. I went here when it was Green Door, and thought I would check it out. Interesting menu and the cashier was friendly.

Everyone here is so welcoming. The drinks are delicious and so nostalgic of my childhood and foods I grew up eating. The seats are comfortable, there's a real chill vibe.

I loved my ube latte! I visited today (Saturday) around noon and parked easily in the structure. I haven't visited Teofilo since they moved from their old location, but I was happy to visit today! The space is huge! There's lots of seating inside, and it seemed like a popular place for people to work. Baristas are super sweet and nice! I ordered an ube latte, but almost got the wrong drink because they called my name for a different order (I would've taken it anyway because they're so nice). Luckily, another barista caught it, and I got to enjoy a really delicious latte. I'm excited for my next visit!

Went here 3 days in a row! All their flavors truly encapsulated my filipino childhood.

You got the slow rnb going on in the background. You got the hum of people working and meeting here. You got the sweet scent of Filipino coffee, cinnamon rolls, muffins and more going on. Yo this place is kinda dope. Came in on a Wednesday morning at 10am. The front door looks like I'm about to enter into another world. It's big golden doors and when you step inside you'll immediately be drawn into the brick back wall and the coffee station right in the middle. The coffee bar is the center of it all and there are seats that surround it. Mostly office type chairs and desk that are all Black and white and rolls. Mostly low tops and one high top table with 8ish chairs. I was interested in a few things and asked about two items and the barista told me hands down his favorite was the 50/50 and because he sounded so strong in his convictions I went with it. And he wasn't lying when he said it was delicious. It was creamy and taste more like a chocolate milk with caffeine rather than mocha like. If you like it sweet. This is the one for you. I also got a Pandesal with ube. The pandesal which is basically sweet bread was a dollar and then the ube or you can get it with coco is another dollar. My colleague got two drinks. They got a matcha latte and then a banana bread matcha. She originally only wanted the matcha but she said she loved banana bread and decided to get another. She preferred that one because it was spicier and tasted like home. I'm down the street for a conference and it's in walking distance from the Hilton and I told everyone at lunch to go and get something from this place. Why? Support Black and Brown businesses always. And also.. damn this place was good. No parking is the downside. There's two spaces in front of it for you to park for 20 minutes. You could park across the street in the Ralph's parking lot but at your own risk.

Turon iced latte
Tara F.

Ordered their Turon (banana flavor) iced latte ($7.50) & i love it. Not too sweet you can taste the coffee and and banana flavor a good balance. Im seeing this flavor option for the first time. I came with the intent to get the Ube iced latte since i had a sample of it at the yelp social sideline event and fell in love with it. Ambiance is very cozy and spacious to do work or just hang out. Its located on the corner next to ihop there is no parking on the street. The free parking lot is located behind the shop, and it will be on your right as you enter the alley. I highly recommend

Filipino coffee! I'm still learning. Great coffee shop! The most welcoming owner and staff. Helpful, informative and inviting atmosphere with the best Filipino coffee. Diverse menu options for lattes, espresso and ube. Merch, pastries and work spaces available. Plug in and have a nice little nook to get things done while enjoying your favorite drink. Love the industrial look of this space. The brick and concrete with touches of wood tones. Bar seating right by the window or lounge on the club seats. The owner is friendly and hard working. Shows great care for his guests that walk through these doors. A wonderful new addition to the community. Will definitely return! Parking structure driveway entrance is just to the left of the shop. Plenty of parking available. Follow walkways to sidewalk leading to the main street and shop entrance.

Lots of indoor and outdoor seating

The selection isn't huge, but that actually works in its favor--it feels like they focus on doing a few things well. I ordered an unsweetened iced matcha with simple syrup on the side, along with a warmed croissant. While waiting, I looked around the shop. They sell freshly ground beans, and the prep area almost looks like a little science setup, which was interesting to see. When my drink was ready, I added simple syrup myself--ended up putting in a bit too much, so that was on me. The matcha itself was smooth and good on its own. That Bánh mì sandwich had a bread that tasted so fresh, good-quality, soft inside with the perfect crunch on the outside. Back home it's mostly Vietnamese coffee, which I love... but one of those almost sent me into an anxiety spiral with the caffeine, so I needed something more civilized this morning. This spot hit the mark. Low-key location, easy in and out, no crowds--just coffee. The people were friendly and clearly knew what they were doing. While I was sitting there browsing and trying to smell the coffee through the little vent like a weirdo, they casually mentioned the beans had been roasted yesterday. That told me everything I needed to know. Started with a drip--simple, solid, priced right. Then I rolled the dice on a peanut butter latte, which most places completely mess up. This one didn't. Still tasted like coffee, not a melted candy bar. I also grabbed some ceremonial matcha green tea powder to go, which was legit and not an afterthought. Behind the shop there are some race cars or high-end sports cars tucked into a garage space, which was kind of perfect. This is the third coffee shop I've seen operating out of a garage setup, and honestly, if that's how you keep rent down and spend the money on good beans (or fast cars), I respect it. You can also see the roasting machine while you wait, which is always cool. They've got a couple of benches outside if you want to sit and actually enjoy your coffee instead of chugging it in traffic. Bottom line: good coffee, good people, no ego. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. Easy go-to in North Long Beach.
