Teofilo Coffee Company is a new Filipino coffee shop located in Carson and this spot used to be GREENDOOR Powered by Intelligentsia. They specialize in serving coffee sourced from the Philippines. Teofilo Coffee Company recently opened a second location in Long Beach. [Parking]: There's a designated parking garage, but it was surprisingly packed on Sunday morning and I barely found an available spot at 10 AM on Sunday. [Atmosphere and amenities]: This is quite a popular coffee shop, but there were only two employees working so expect to wait a bit even if you order drip coffee. Ask the cashier to print the receipt as the Wi-Fi password is listed on it. The cafe is very spacious and plays modern background music. There is also a small section of the cafe called the Tayo Na Library with books for kids to read. [Menu]: According to the sign, the best sellers are the halo-halo latte, turon latte, shaken bibingka latte, and ube matcha - so basically dessert-style lattes. They use the Aeropress to make the single origin coffee. *** Shaken Bibingka Latte (hot - $7.50): Not overly sweet with hints of coconut and a caramel aftertaste - good smooth finish. *** This is a solid coffee shop for anyone who is open to try latte flavors with a different twist.

The people who worked there were very kind and helpful when choosing a drink from the menu. Their coffee is very tasty and not too sweet! There is plenty of space to study or get work done. There are outlets along the wall. It is street parking but it was very convenient. Definitely worth checking out!

3/24/26 Long overdue review! (Check my photos dates)-Attended the grand Opening & everything! Great Filipino-owned coffee shop in Carson, Ca (it might as well be Filipino town ) beans mostly sourced out of the Philippine farmers highlighting one of its wonderful natural resources: COFFEE. Check out "Barako"-known to the people of Pampanga as a "strong, robust cup of kape", at least my mom & dad would say over & over as we were growing up. This shop is spacious, clean, modern , formerly occupied by another coffee shop, Greendoor. TCC features Filipino coffee culture, supporting the hardworking Filipino farmers. The beans are roasted in-house, its humble beginnings of roasting in the proprietor's (Ron Dizon) garage. Barako is the inspiration, Liberia cultivar. My parents would often reminisce that it is the best coffee they've ever tasted, drinking it black. Teofilo was the patriarchal namesake, Ron's maternal grandfather. His very strong work ethic was embedded into the fabric of this coffee shop. Proud Filipino culture in every cup. The space faces the Carson Civic Center with ample, free parking. One can easily spend some time at their comfortable indoor & outdoor seating. High ceiling, modern music playing in the background, it's an ideal place to hang out do some work or just chill and enjoy a cup of kape. Staff are amiable & helpful Whether you enjoy your coffee black, hot or cold, this shop offers innovative flavors for beverages that are Filipino- inspired &/or pair it with baked goods (sourcing local bakers like Gemmae Bakery), it's worth trying. Plus, it helps support the small business owner & the Philippines coffee farmers. Come & check em out--see their IG page: @teofilocoffeecompany The branch in LONG BEACH is on its soft opening tomorrow 3/25/26 7am to 12 noon CONGRATS! MABUHAY

This is one of the best coffee shops in the South Bay. The customer service is always kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. It's also a great spot to work or study the atmosphere is comfortable and easy to settle into for a few hours. They use coffee beans from the Philippines, and you can really taste the depth of flavor without it being overwhelmed by syrups or add-ins. One of their best drinks is the Shaken Bibingka. It's so addicting. I also tried their chicken siopao, and it was so good I honestly couldn't tell if it was store-bought or homemade, but either way it was savory & delicious. It reminded me of my grandma's. My family is from Pampanga in the Philippines, so we know good food, iykyk.

Really amazing coffee shop off of Carson St. They have a nice spacious open interior with plenty of seating for studying, socializing, etc. Their Filipino-inspired lattes and teas are also delicious. I ordered the Turon Latte, which is a banana latte with brown sugar, and it had a rich distinct caramel flavor that wasn't overly sweet and had a hint of banana as well. Definitely one of my favorite cafes in the area.

Wonderful local (Filipino) coffee shop. Free SHADED parking behind and free Wi-Fi with uniquely flavored lattés and ethnically inspired coffee. My favorite go-to's are the Turon latté and shaken bibingka latté, both reminding me a bit of home. Both sweetened with brown sugar. Come support the Phili-beans!

5/10/26 Teofilo Coffee Company Carson, CA... Stopped by here to get a Mango Dream tea and a Ham & Cheese croissant! Super yummy!!! Rei shows great customer service here. Place was very inviting and so clean. I love the interior and was greatly surprised when I walked in! You gotta visit here!!!

Highly improved, my recent visit was positive! I was in the area to do some early errands and they opened at 7am. I ordered two iced drinks: 1. A matcha latte with almond milk and two stevias. 2. An ube matcha latte with oat milk. Both were good, specifically the ube matcha because it wasn't overly sweet. I also ordered two everything croissants and they were tasty. They were stuffed with cream cheese, warmed up and so flakey. The cost was $32.66 including tax and tip. They also sell ready to eat food like burritos. Service was welcoming and the wait time was reasonable! The space is utilized with plenty of seating. They still have their Tayo Na library which was cool!

It's a lovely coffee shop with plenty of seating and great Filipino pride. I had the banana turon latte, garnished with fried spring roll wrapper. It was a fun dessert latte, but lacked espresso flavor. I'm relieved that their whole milk is lactose free. However the hot and cold drinks are served in different sizes. Cold drinks are served in larger size, so it's an additional $1. The cashier was really kind and helped prepared drinks during the morning rush. I might stick with their hot coffee drinks if I decided to revisit.

Needed a place to do some work & found this cute little spot during my search. What a gem of a coffee shop! Ambiance is very chill -- lots of outlets and the chairs were actually pretty comfy. There is also ample seating, with some 4 person tables too if you're coming with a group. I love how they have snack options here in case you get hungry while working. I got the turon latte, pork siopao, & ube pan de sal. The turon latte was strong, but tasty if you like bananas! Sio pao was okay, but it hit the spot for something savory. The ube pan de sal was yummy. I'd definitely come back for both the coffee & the vibes!

The Ube latte is ok, wasn't the best I've ever had but it was drinkable. I went here when it was Green Door, and thought I would check it out. Interesting menu and the cashier was friendly.

Book area for adults and kids!

My very first coffee was not the best but I'm happy I returned and now I go every single day. Teofilo is probably one of the BEST coffee companies I have ever, EVER tried. My husband got the iced Bibingka latte and I got the Turon Latte. How DELICIOUS these were! It has easily become our favorite go to's! Can't wait for our next visit! And how lucky am I that it's down the street

Filipino owned café using coffee beans from the Philippines. It's definitely a nice addition to this part of Carson. Parking is free at the adjoining car park.

Back home it's mostly Vietnamese coffee, which I love... but one of those almost sent me into an anxiety spiral with the caffeine, so I needed something more civilized this morning. This spot hit the mark. Low-key location, easy in and out, no crowds--just coffee. The people were friendly and clearly knew what they were doing. While I was sitting there browsing and trying to smell the coffee through the little vent like a weirdo, they casually mentioned the beans had been roasted yesterday. That told me everything I needed to know. Started with a drip--simple, solid, priced right. Then I rolled the dice on a peanut butter latte, which most places completely mess up. This one didn't. Still tasted like coffee, not a melted candy bar. I also grabbed some ceremonial matcha green tea powder to go, which was legit and not an afterthought. Behind the shop there are some race cars or high-end sports cars tucked into a garage space, which was kind of perfect. This is the third coffee shop I've seen operating out of a garage setup, and honestly, if that's how you keep rent down and spend the money on good beans (or fast cars), I respect it. You can also see the roasting machine while you wait, which is always cool. They've got a couple of benches outside if you want to sit and actually enjoy your coffee instead of chugging it in traffic. Bottom line: good coffee, good people, no ego. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. Easy go-to in North Long Beach.

I had my whole day planned out with a list of events to attend but first I wanted to stop by Patria and grab some coffee to start my morning off. Located in a parking lot next to Wilson Park on Compton Blvd and Alameda Street you'll find this nice cut lawn in front of this small white building, Patria Coffee Roaster. Depending on your time of arrival, the parking lot can be full but it's cool cuz there's also street parking available. I was able to park in the lot. After walking in I was welcomed and greeted with positive energy from 2 young ladies who I forgot their names but we'll just call them "A" and "C" lol. A guy to my right was sitting next to the window working on his laptop. And two others against the wall sipping their coffees and doing whatever on their phones. A customer was at the register ordering while another customer walked in to stand in line behind me. I let her go in front of me while I took pics and recorded footage. I like the atmosphere and space a lot. It has a very nice decor. Artwork, pictures and murals with history displayed along the walls. Grab and cold drinks available for purchase. Nice music playing that wasn't too loud but just right to complement a chill coffee shop vibe. "A" was friendly and patient as shared with her this was my first visit. As I browsed thru the coffee menu before making my selection I noticed more costumes coming in. I ordered a medium sized Americano which is $3.75 but I requested to add some hazelnut creamer as well as some almond milk which totaled out to $4.75 which was quite exceptional to me. Giving the location, the quality of service and the quality of the coffee. Not to mention to overall experience. I even thru in a $1 tip. I support the business and love the space. It feels welcoming and safe. The restroom was clean. They also have many different events held there. If you're ever in the area definitely pull up and check em' out. It's black owned as well. I actually ended up sitting there in the lot sipping my coffee while working on my video to post on social media. The coffee was good and tasteful. Didn't need any sugar. Great vibes and great coffee. You can even go the park right next door and get your steps in or just chill. I definitely recommend coming here. If you're passing thru the area or coming to the city, do yourself a favor and pull up. Check em' out. Grab you a coffee or something.
