I ordered the bibingka latte and my friend ordered their mango sticky rice matcha! I love how unique the drinks are but we both felt that the flavor was lacking. The cafe was super spacious and had a lot of seating tho!
Love this space- has desks to work/study, wifi, and a convenient parking lot. Service is super friendly too. Will definitely be back!
What a gem!! Clean and spacious with super sweet and helpful staff!! Great place to meet up with friends as they have plenty of large tables. Food was insane. The mango cake was soo fluffy and perfectly sweet (not too sweet) The burrito was deeelicious!! Had really unique flavors with unique ingredients...sun-dried tomatoes, feta, arugula, pest, cream cheese and fluffy egg whites..sooo goooood.. Coffee is carefully brewed with attention to details. Matcha was perfect.
Came back again and tried the ube latte it was pretty good! I liked it was a good balance of sweet and the coffee flavor. I think I'd order it again. My friend got the pandan latte and she also liked it. My favorite thing on the menu is the chicken and pork siopao I get them every time I come back. It was a bit more packed this time compared to last time but still enough seating. The staff were nice they even remade my friend's drink because she forgot to ask for decaf! There was also WiFi so it was nice to not use hotspot to finish work! The WiFi was also pretty good speed wasn't too slow! One of my favorite things is that there's a designated parking lot, when parking is easy it makes me return!
Ube Latte is my fearless leader that inspires me in the morning. I drove out to Carson on a beautiful Sunday morning. I need to find better parking than the time limited store front area. There must be more parking somewhere, and when I find it, I will update my review. The service was very good in terms of speed. The coffee shop had a wonderful décor inside. What you may expect in a coffee shop; brown wood, lounge spots, study spots, bar spots; and this shop was pretty spacious. The Ube was refreshing, strong, sweet, smooth; so I will be back in the future for more. ***Please listen to the song I am parodying, "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" by Starship.*** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wxyN3z9PL4&list=RD3wxyN3z9PL4&start_radio=1 While you are reading my song parody portion of my review below. Food Went here with the wife for an afternoon snack and pick me up. We ordered the Mount Milo and the Nido latte and a pistachio croissant for our snack. I've been here before and I have to say that the coffee here really hits and I loved the flavor of their coffee as it's not too bitter when I ordered just plain black coffee. Growing up in the philippines, I love Barako coffee and i love this place's mission to spread the knowledge and agriculture of filipino coffee. The pistachio croissant was pretty good, but a bit too sweet for us but we still ate all of it as it was pretty good Service/Ambiance On a random saturday afternoon, the place wasn't too packed and had lots of seating. The staff were really nice and we got our orders pretty quickly. Would definitely come back here
Passion for coffee growing, importing and ROASTING has a new guiding light. Filipino hand raised direct trade and fair trade farming are at the heart and soul of this mission driven spot! We love it. The e Owner is an engineer and champion of his people bringing the finest coffees directly from the Philippines - he is literally THE GUY- making inroads to import and distribute coffee directly from and with the farmers of this country and their coffee region. Wait until you taste it! This coffee is so powerful and flavorful- it is unforgettable and part of that is the roasting. Ron is truly someone who understands how to coax the truest expression of the bean into being through pepper temperatures and precise roasting. Coffee lovers and true aficionados prepare to cup this! Bravo Ron! Hooray for the Philippines!!
Coffee was great. I ordered their seasonal Peach Cobbler latte and the Red Velvet Matcha. The Red Valvet Cake Latte tasted OK. I really enjoyed the Red Velvet Matcha. It wasn't overly sweet and the matcha wasn't overly powering.
Teofilo Coffee Company is a new Filipino coffee shop located in Carson and this spot used to be GREENDOOR Powered by Intelligentsia. They specialize in serving coffee sourced from the Philippines. Teofilo Coffee Company recently opened a second location in Long Beach. [Parking]: There's a designated parking garage, but it was surprisingly packed on Sunday morning and I barely found an available spot at 10 AM on Sunday. [Atmosphere and amenities]: This is quite a popular coffee shop, but there were only two employees working so expect to wait a bit even if you order drip coffee. Ask the cashier to print the receipt as the Wi-Fi password is listed on it. The cafe is very spacious and plays modern background music. There is also a small section of the cafe called the Tayo Na Library with books for kids to read. [Menu]: According to the sign, the best sellers are the halo-halo latte, turon latte, shaken bibingka latte, and ube matcha - so basically dessert-style lattes. They use the Aeropress to make the single origin coffee. *** Shaken Bibingka Latte (hot - $7.50): Not overly sweet with hints of coconut and a caramel aftertaste - good smooth finish. *** This is a solid coffee shop for anyone who is open to try latte flavors with a different twist.
3/24/26 Long overdue review! (Check my photos dates)-Attended the grand Opening & everything! Great Filipino-owned coffee shop in Carson, Ca (it might as well be Filipino town ) beans mostly sourced out of the Philippine farmers highlighting one of its wonderful natural resources: COFFEE. Check out "Barako"-known to the people of Pampanga as a "strong, robust cup of kape", at least my mom & dad would say over & over as we were growing up. This shop is spacious, clean, modern , formerly occupied by another coffee shop, Greendoor. TCC features Filipino coffee culture, supporting the hardworking Filipino farmers. The beans are roasted in-house, its humble beginnings of roasting in the proprietor's (Ron Dizon) garage. Barako is the inspiration, Liberia cultivar. My parents would often reminisce that it is the best coffee they've ever tasted, drinking it black. Teofilo was the patriarchal namesake, Ron's maternal grandfather. His very strong work ethic was embedded into the fabric of this coffee shop. Proud Filipino culture in every cup. The space faces the Carson Civic Center with ample, free parking. One can easily spend some time at their comfortable indoor & outdoor seating. High ceiling, modern music playing in the background, it's an ideal place to hang out do some work or just chill and enjoy a cup of kape. Staff are amiable & helpful Whether you enjoy your coffee black, hot or cold, this shop offers innovative flavors for beverages that are Filipino- inspired &/or pair it with baked goods (sourcing local bakers like Gemmae Bakery), it's worth trying. Plus, it helps support the small business owner & the Philippines coffee farmers. Come & check em out--see their IG page: @teofilocoffeecompany The branch in LONG BEACH is on its soft opening tomorrow 3/25/26 7am to 12 noon CONGRATS! MABUHAY
This is one of the best coffee shops in the South Bay. The customer service is always kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. It's also a great spot to work or study the atmosphere is comfortable and easy to settle into for a few hours. They use coffee beans from the Philippines, and you can really taste the depth of flavor without it being overwhelmed by syrups or add-ins. One of their best drinks is the Shaken Bibingka. It's so addicting. I also tried their chicken siopao, and it was so good I honestly couldn't tell if it was store-bought or homemade, but either way it was savory & delicious. It reminded me of my grandma's. My family is from Pampanga in the Philippines, so we know good food, iykyk.
Highly improved, my recent visit was positive! I was in the area to do some early errands and they opened at 7am. I ordered two iced drinks: 1. A matcha latte with almond milk and two stevias. 2. An ube matcha latte with oat milk. Both were good, specifically the ube matcha because it wasn't overly sweet. I also ordered two everything croissants and they were tasty. They were stuffed with cream cheese, warmed up and so flakey. The cost was $32.66 including tax and tip. They also sell ready to eat food like burritos. Service was welcoming and the wait time was reasonable! The space is utilized with plenty of seating. They still have their Tayo Na library which was cool!
Drinks weren't bad, service however was subpar when paying $8 for a drink. I didn't feel welcomed when I walked in, wasn't greeted or even acknowledged when we walked up to the counter. Looked at the menu, again not even a hello or asked if we had any questions. After we did order, barista walked away. I spoke more than the staff, again drink was okay but if I'm paying $18 for two drinks and this is the service I get, yeah I could've saved my money and gone elsewhere. I didn't leave a tip and they looked at the receipt, drink comes with coconut and it looks like they barely added any.
Having never had Filipino coffee before, a friend brought me to this nice coffee shop in Carson to try their coffees made with Barako coffee beans sourced directly from a region in the Philippines. The shop is itself was very spacious with a nice modern and quiet ambiance. Its a great place to stop by to study while enjoying some coffee and pastries. I ordered the Pandan Latte which had a nice smooth coffee flavor from the Barako beans without being super strong, complemented well by the Pandan. I didn't get a chance to try any of their pastries that time, but it gives me a reason to come back and try their coffees once again. read more
More than a coffee shop, the Teofilo Coffee Company (found in 2017) mission is to 'Give Back To The Philippines'. It's original location in Los Alamitos closed, to expand to two locations this year: this one in Carson and another more recently opened location in the Naples neighborhood of Long Beach. It focuses on coffee grown in the Philippines, with it freshly roasted in the same building. My daughter hadn't been here before, so we stopped in for her to check it out. Parking is plentiful in the complementary nearby multi-level parking garage. It's a typical, tried-and-true coffee set-up with coffee ordered via the front register, and open tables separated where folks were meeting, getting work done, and enjoying their brews. The space is large enough to provide co-working spaces. I was lucky enough to meet the owner, Ron, on a previous visit. We learned that the company is named after his Lolo, Teofilo, and that his company's vision statement is 'To be the top coffee provider of Filipino coffee in the United States while providing meaningful opportunities to Filipino coffee farmers'. It's an admirable goal. My daughter bought a couple of 227 grams (about 8 oz) bags of Liberica coffee beans ($29...so definitely on the higher end) along with an iced latte ($7) which she enjoyed. They also provide assorted croissants from Nonna mercato ($5 - $7) and baked goods from Cafe Dochi (virtual Filipino bakery). read more

Cute Filipino inspired shop with plenty of space to sit. The staffs were very friendly. I ordered the bibingka latte, it was very good. We came on a Sunday, they had some small vendors coming in to set up inside the shop, I might have to come back next week to check it out and try their other drinks. read more
Stopped by last weekend to check out this cafe. There is retail parking inside the apartment structure. The door to this cafe wasn't intuitive, but it's a large door (the kind you'd see in fantasy movies or in Europe). The seating area is very spacious. I came in the late afternoon, so there weren't many people in the cafe. But it definitely had a nice vibe, definitely a place I'd hang out at if I had work to do. I ordered their iced ube latte and ube coffee cake which cost ~$15. It's good, but I think there's a lot of food coloring in the latte. It didn't stop me from finishing it though! The items are a bit pricey, but they do have a cool concept going on. I found out about them through social media. I think this is a solid place to buy Filipino-inspired coffee and desserts! read more

Great place to get Filipino coffee, which is delicious . I got the 50/50 - Nido and chocolate. Perfectly balanced between the sweet Nido and Chocolate. They're also a co-working space. Very friendly staff. Lovely space, great coffee. Next time I'll try the food! Parking is a cinch, large garage in the building. read more

I absolutely adore this cafe. I am Filipina-American and grew up in a busy Filipino community in San Diego, so I am very attached to Filipino culture and used to having it all around me. With that being said, I love what this cafe has to offer the South Bay community! The drink menu is exciting, with Filipino desserts being offered on the weekends (turon cookie, ube cinnamon roll). For the month of June, they offer a seasonal halo halo latte which I looove, and I also like their matcha with added ube foam! Beyond the drinks, I was amazed by the Filipino library corner. It's one thing to celebrate Filipino culture through your menu, and it's another to celebrate its language, writers, and stories by offering customers the chance to browse and read through a thoughtfully tailored book selection. This is such an incredible initiative that I've never seen before and was truly touched by. I love the little odes to Filipino culture in their decor as well, such as the Milo containers which houses their plants read more

finally went to this location after they closed down the Los Alamitos one. How I miss their pandan latte and it didn't change ! This place has the best Ube latte. It's a perfect balance of coffee and ube. They use ube condensed milk as one of their ingredients but it's not overly sweet. I came across their shop as a pop up during an Ube festival in Cerritos and I put all my friends and Titas on. The latte was so good that I even came back the next day to order their latte again while they were still in Cerritos. I don't typically go to the Carson area but I definitely will be making the drive to visit their coffee shop soon! read more

this place is pretty spacious and nice. They actually serve pretty strong coffee here and my parents like coffee. It's different than the chain brands like Starbucks and coffee bean. I brought my parents here to try it and give them a taste of something different. I liked the Ube latte and requested the server to take out the coffee part and it still tasted delicious. I say, if you like strong black coffee or Filipino inspired flavor lattes and other coffee drinks, come give this place a try. They are definitely worth it. The shop is pretty spacious and there are a few tables for people that want to hang out or work while they enjoy their coffee or study during the day. they have a parking garage in the back with plenty of spaces for this plaza. this is a great local place that I plan to visit more often in the future. read more

Teofilo Coffee is named after the late patriarch of the family , grandfather Teofilo . I was thrilled to take part in their grand opening celebration. Meeting the owners and hearing them share their stories of humble beginnings. I believe this is the only / few Filipino owned coffee / cafe shop , with coffee beans sourced directly from coffee farms in Philippines . This location is really nice , is in the vicinity of government buildings and sit in-front of a bus stop . Has parking lot access shared with other businesses in the neighborhood. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Friendly staff and yummy treats to be had . The nutella filled croissant was so addicting, i had to tear open to dip the melted chocolate filling. read more

I got the pork siopao and wow I'm so impressed!! The bun was so soft & warm. The pork inside was so flavorful and delicious!! Would give this more than 5 stars if I could. I am sad that this coffee shop took over Intelligentsia BUT what a great new coffee shop. I have been to the other location they had in Los Al but heard they closed it and opened up this one, so I had to check it out. The coffee shop is from the Philippines and the drinks and pastries on the menu pay homage to the Filipino culture. Even their merchandise uses the burlap coffee bags they receive their coffee beans from in the PI. Pretty cool concept. On this visit, I tried the Bibingka Latte and I enjoyed it. It had the same flavor as the coconut rice cake I love. The drink itself isn't too sweet either which is a plus for me. Inside the coffee shop, there is so much seating area that you can enjoy with friends and family. They also will have work areas for those who work remote. They hadn't opened them when we went since it was the soft opening. Overall, cool coffee shop and very roomy. Parking is located in the front and in the area. Highly recommend trying this out especially if you enjoy Filipino food and drinks. read more
In Carson, it's very rare to find anything mom and pop owned anymore. I heard about this business from a friend. I never had Filipino coffee before. After given a free strawberry lemonade at an event hosted by them, I had to try this place out. Teofilo is a hidden gem in Carson. It's spacious, great for meeting up with people or study groups without too much noise interfering or feeling cramped. The coffee is pretty strong, even for the lattes. I like how they really embrace Filipino culture in their design and they have even made this into a community space with a mini library or Filipino books and art! Service is very friendly! Underrated, new coffee shop in the area that's a must try. They serve Filipino inspired drinks and pastries, and it is delicious. We tried the Babingka Latte and Killamatcha. Here's our take: - Hot Babingka Latte with whole milk, half sweet: I am not big on sweetness so the half sweet was PERFECT for me. There's a hint of caramel and coconut in the drink with a good touch of espresso, steamed perfectly. If you'd like it sweeter, get it at the regular sweetness. The coffee has the perfect amount of caffeine (but not as strong as Vietnamese coffee or cold brew- which you don't want lol) - Iced Killa Matcha with Mango Foam: made with real matcha and calamansi fruit. Such a refreshing caffeinated drink! The mango foam adds a nice touch on top, sweetening it perfectly. I'd definitely get this during a nice warm day! If you love matcha and calamansi, this is your drink. It's not excessively sweet either! If you like sweet, I'd ask them for what they recommend to make it sweeter.. - Barinko Ice Cream: coffee ice cream that tastes like coffee lol nothing crazy here, it's delicious though! I think it would be good to add in a cup of black coffee! There's parking behind the building at no charge. The coffee shop has plenty of seating for studying and hanging out. The ambiance is very chill and relaxing; a really good place to focus on work or studying or catching up with friends. I'd say this is a more upscale coffee shop than your typical Asian coffee shop. Think starbucks reserve stores :P The employees here are very nice and chill. Service is quick for the coffees. They are new so I think they're still getting a hang of things. This is my new go to coffee stop for when I crave an Asian fusion coffee! read more
I've been coming here every day since returning to carson to try every drink on the menu lol. My favorite so far is the shaken bibinka! Caramel, coconut, and brown sugar. The hot ube latte and the pandan with mint cold foam weren't my favorites but maybe I'll give them another try. Nonetheless, I think this place is incredible and a community-centric coffee shop carson has been sorely needed. It's incredibly special to have one of the few Filipino coffee shops in LA be here. The story and mission behind this place is very special and meaningful, and I'll be coming back to buy some beans to support the motherland and our people! I also see this place as a third space and multipurpose venue; somewhere to work or socialize and build connections. There's baked goods that come in from different businesses and cooks (so not all food items may be available on the menu); books; merch; cool car magazines; and really great music. Pan de Sal with coco jam; chicken siopao; and matcha pistachio white chocolate croissant were 10/10. Bibinka was dry when I got it though. The service can honestly be hit or miss. I primarily see a lot of younger folks working. Sometimes I'll walk in and no one is at the register because it seems like they go to the back to make their coffee so I'm not sure if there's an indicator to know if a customer arrives, and as a result I'm standing there wondering if they know a line is forming lol. They're at least friendly lol but maybe ramping up on speed, attentiveness, and service is a WIP. Overall I'm excited to see how this place can continue to flourish in our community! read more

Stopped by this spot on the way back to San Diego and was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was Filipino owned! I always love seeing representation. The coffee itself was excellent. I had the Pandan latte and I really liked that I can taste both the espresso and the pandan notes, which means it wasn't too sweet - the ultimate asian compliment. I wasn't inside for a long time, but I also really liked the space. It looked aesthetic and welcoming. If I'm ever find myself around the area, I'll be sure to stop by again! read more

Super excited to be the first review on this amazing company! I love their morals and ethics. They source their coffee beans from the Philippines! On their coffee bags they say the origin of the beans, so cool! The parking is easy to locate (there's a parking garage). As of right now (the date this review is posted) they are in soft opening hours! Posted on their instagram @ teofilocoffeecompany Love the ambiance and the aesthetics of this place! Their merch is so dope and unique! I ordered the ube latte and it was delicious! Also, they sell baked goods which were beautifully decorated. The café that used to be called Green Door has now changed its name to Teofilo Coffee. The place is still spacious with plenty of seating and a great parking lot one of the main reasons I've always loved coming here. Since the name change, it seems to have shifted to a Filipino-style coffee concept. The interior has been slightly remodeled, but I personally preferred the previous design it felt more elegant and refined. I studied here for quite a while today, and the chairs were comfortable, which I really appreciated. The staff were also very friendly. However, I tried a Filipino-style coconut-flavored latte, and I think that was a bit of a miss for me it was overly sweet and lacked the sophisticated taste I was hoping for. Of course, I haven't tried all their drinks yet, so I want to be fair about that. Overall, it's still a nice spot, but there are a few small things that feel a bit disappointing compared to before. read more

Tried the ube latte with pandan foam, drip coffee, and chicken siopao bun. I enjoyed the ube latte very much, it's flavorful with the right amount of seeetness for my tastes, and the pandan foam added not only a compatible flavor profile but a nice texture as well. The drip coffee was fine but not unique in any way to me, and the chicken siopao bun was a little disappointing because it wasn't fluffy and seemed to need more time steaming. The space is nice, and I feel that the specialty drinks are quite good, so it's worth return visits to try the bibingka and calamansi flavors and an update to this review if needed. read more

Upon entering, I was amazed with how modern and pretty the place looked! Very cozy vibes and perfect to hang out with friends or study. Ended up ordering the Ube Iced Latte & Nutella Croissant. I rate the it about an 8.5/10. Reason being is because I tend to prefer creamy and sweeter coffee, however the Ube Iced Latte was a little strong for my liking but still had a really good Ube kick to it! As for the Nutella Croissant, it had good flavor and a good size but just had a little too much Nutella filling for me. The overall service was great! The lady who rung my order up was very polite. I would definitely come back to try the other drinks and would recommend it since is a filipino-based coffee spot! read more

Really great spot. Let's get the one negative out of the way and why it lost a star. The chairs I sat in were uncomfortable and the wheels on them had me sliding all around. Service: Smiles everywhere! Energetic staff! Knowledgeable about the menu and quick responses to my inquiries. Food: Coffee (ube latte) five star. Not sour not too sweet Pork Siopao not bad but not great. They are not freshly made onsite. Environment: Great design, plenty of seating, not too loud, clean Overall this is a good spot to get work done and enjoy good coffee. read more

Hello , I've been popping into this spot a lot lately (at all different times of the day) and it always makes me happy! The staff are super sweet and the vibe is just right--perfect for studying, working, catching up with friends, or even a cozy little coffee date. Lots of seating, plenty of outlets, and free Wi-Fi... what more could you ask for? I'm also obsessed with the new fridge full of grab-and-go goodies--those breakfast burritos and the cheese + ube ensaymadas are sooo good! I've tried almost every drink on the menu (guilty lol), and I get excited every time they add something new. And don't get me started on the croissants--they're my fave, and yes, I've tried them all. This place is definitely a must-try if you haven't been yet. Bonus: free parking in the back P.S. A cute little mirror in the restroom would make my day--just saying hehe read more
