Peach cobbler matcha w/oat milk
Chary S.

I ordered the peach cobbler Matcha, it is fantastic, right sweetness, love that they make their own syrups with natural fruits!!... Happy and friendly staff, fun ambience. This used to be a water store, which continues to also sell water. Will be coming back!!

Having been to the cafe, I precisely got when people said it's such a warm welcoming neighborhood cafe. Sitting there for awhile I could see many of the visitors seemed to be regulars. Prolly one factor was it dis sell several stuffs including water and infused water. The space was nothing fancy but cozy enough to hang. They did seem to build community out of the cafe itself. Besides the regulars, they did have some house specialties, from which I got to try the Maple Brown Sugar Latte. Strong coffee well paired to the house made syrup. Sounded simple yet I did really enjoy it. Prolly the only one downside was dairy alternative milk was tad pricey at $1.5 extra charge.

Everyone who works here is SO NICE, the drinks are creative and delicious, AND they make their own syrups in house. I had to know more. This is what I learned from the owner: In May of 2024 Marcel decided to start a coffee bar in the back of his alkaline and purified water shop because he wanted something exciting, and he was always stopping on the way in to get coffee, so he decided to bring coffee into his space. He designed and built the cart out of his previous work bench as his now permanent pop-up. It became official July 2024, and he's loved making house made syrups. I went with the Espresso Pomelo ($7.25) from their summer menu with a double shot of espresso over Italian grapefruit soda and ice, and it was the perfect balance of sweet, citrusy, and still being able to taste the coffee. For their coffee beans, they use the Montenero Blend by local roaster Caffe Luxxe. There's plenty of free parking right on W Gardena Blvd, as well as a large parking lot in the back that you can enter from Vermont, and they have a large indoor space with two spacious rooms and a variety of seating options, from couches to benches. Their new fall menu is launching next week, so we will be sure to be back!!

Service was great!! 5 out of 5 stars for the service!!! I got the Peach Cobbler Matcha and it was ok. It was too sweet for my liking. I don't mind if it's a little sweet but this drink was just way too sweet. That's literally all I could taste. They have a variety of fun drinks (both matcha and coffee) that all sounded amazing!!! Inside was clean and again, service was great!!!

Small hidden gem coffee shop located in the Good Water Company store! The interior itself is pretty spacious with lots of open space and a couch and table. I appreciated the vibes and aesthetics of the shop. The menu has a variety of different espresso coffee and matcha options. The worker was really friendly and helpful in giving recommendations and explanations for the drinks. There is street parking available in front of the store. I tried their signature Good Latte which is made with their house made orange syrup, oat milk and a double shot of espresso which tasted similar to orange with chocolate. It's on the pricier side though at about $7.50 a drink and an additional $1.50 for alternative milk. It was good to try and would be cool to see how this small shop grows.

Peach Cobbler Iced Matcha Latte

Was searching my neighborhood for some good matcha and this place popped up! As a local to this area, lived here my whole life, I was excited to see this type of small coffee shop popped up in my area. I was curious to try the matcha and it definitely did not disappoint. So far I've tried the peach cobbler and strawberry matcha lattes and they were both great, not overly sweet or overpowering the matcha flavor. The normal coffee lattes are also delicious, my favorite being the rosemary fig latte. Definitely a small establishment, only one barista behind the counter, but he's incredibly friendly and works his magic with the drinks. There is a nice sitting area with a wall full of art to wait while you eat for drinks. Tip: There is a parking lot in the back with a door that leads right into the coffee shop!

Strawberry matcha.

Good coffee for sure! I had the strawberry matcha. I've tried other matcha and one of those name brand coffee places which I didn't care for but this is good! You have to try this place. Friendly atmosphere, very cool vibes, too bad I didn't have time to lounge around. Next time..just don't get concerned with the area around this place. Maybe this place is the start to something better for this area.

Strawberry Matcha + Rosemary Figg Latte

The outside of Good Coffee is easy to miss, but the inside embodies community! Each piece of art looks intentionally placed and the playlist nicely curated. This space is also tucked away in a water shop, so that was cool to be in! Both staff members were also very nice during our visit. While the drinks didn't suit our tastes, I'm glad we gave them a shot. We ordered the Strawberry Matcha & Rosemary Fig Latte. The matcha was on the watery side, and the strawberry syrup was quite sweet. The rosemary fig syrup dominated the latte, which didn't suit my preference. The drinks looked beautiful, but because they were on the smaller side, the ratio of syrup to drink seemed off. Since the flavors are strong, I'd recommend asking for light syrup. The syrups are made in-house, so that's a plus! I probably wouldn't try their matcha again, but may give their latte another shot with a different syrup pairing.

Cold brew, petition for a larger size

The cutest little hidden gem of a coffee shop! If you're driving down Gardena Blvd it's easy to miss this place but there's a parking lot on the back. The coffee shop is small and curated with great visual pieces and warm toned everywhere, the vibe is casual and calming. The menu is small and you're sure to find something you like. I like cold brew and that's what I got. It was smooth, rich, and bold in that way you want your cold brew, none of that acidic sharpness that makes it difficult/tedious to drink. My one "complaint", it only comes in one size and I drank it all on my commute I like supporting local, small owned so I'll happily go back!

Omg this place was such a gem! Tucked away inside a water shop which elevated the experience of the coffee. We crafted drinks based on their house made syrup and every drink was made to perfection. Our wonderful barista was very helpful and suggested a few recommendations based on what we were looking for. Great service and even more amazing drinks. Will return rest of our trip to this shop to try the other drinks!!!

Met my sister's here on a Saturday afternoon after some plans fell through in the local vicinity and they wanted to try a local coffee spot. I arrived and parked in the alley/back of the store. I walked up to the back entrance and was hesitant to open the door because it looked like it was an employee only entrance. The sun was in my eyes and all of a sudden a tall guy starts talking to me through the screen door and asked if I was there to meet some friends and I said yes then he let me in through the back entrance. I walked through the back and he directed me to the front area where the coffee shop was located and my sisters. So it's not like a typical coffee shop but this one has character and a huge tank/reservoir at the front of the door. I arrived about 30 minutes before closing time and IMMEDIATELY went into a debrief with my sisters about the days events, what we were going to do next. We sat on the couch and although it wasn't the most comfortable it felt like home. It's part coffee shop, part water store, part cute place to relax and hang out, but our get together was cut short because they closed at like 4 or 5 pm. The coffee wasn't my favorite, but I did enjoy the spot and would come back to try another coffee drink and also catch up with friends.

The signature "Good Latte", orange syrup with oat milk but I git it with cold brew
Geralyn R.

Don't blink or you might miss it! But seriously.. this place is hidden pretty well. We drove by it when we were trying to park and we walked right past it when we walked the other direction looking for it. The only thing that had brought us back was a flappy banner that said "coffee" in front of the Good Water store. The worker in the water store called us in and even asked "are you looking for coffee??" Probably cracking up at how lost we looked. The entrance to the coffee spot was in the back of the water store. Speakeasy vibes. It was about fifteen minutes before closing time on a Sunday, but the only worker behind the counter was patient with us. I even made a phone call to my friend to see if they wanted us to get them coffee before we met up right after. My girlfriend ordered a strawberry matcha and I tried ordering a white mocha, but the barista said they were out of the syrup. Totally fine since they were about to close. I quickly chose the signature latte, iced, which I never would've ordered to begin with since I thought fruit and coffee was one of the weirdest things (this has orange syrup) and I just dislike oat milk. The barista offered to have it with cold brew since I was getting it iced, which sounded like a nice touch so why not. Let me tell you, I was blown away by my drink. I haven't had anything so refreshing in a long time. Who would've thought the sweet and tangy of orange, with the bitterness and coldness of coffee and the nutty and creaminess of oat milk would go very well together? I'm dying to go back even though it's a ways away. Probably one of my top three coffee drinks ever. My girlfriend got the iced strawberry oat matcha latte. It wasn't the worst, but we're just used to strawberry puree instead of syrup. But my friend said their cold brew with honey lavender syrup and oat milk was delicious and kept offering us to try it. It's a cool little spot to hangout it at, the walls are decorated with vinyls and framed words of affirmation. Very small business feel and even though they were about to close, the barista was still down to have a conversation. I can't wait to be back.

I'm not a fan of coffee so I'm always deciding between their mochi, fresh fruit, or iced teas etc. My go-to drinks are the Yuzu Citrus No. 8 and Jasmine Frost Iced Tea (less sweet for both options). The Yuzu Citrus has the perfect amount of tang with a slight sweetness that cuts through the acidity. The tea flavor manages to shine through the fruitiness, and overall the flavors pair well with one another. The Jasmine Frost Iced Tea is very aromatic and brewed to really highlight the Jasmine. My boyfriend normally gets the mochi mango which has soft chunks of mochi mixed, and tart/sweet mango puree. I appreciate how the smoothie is never icy, and has a creamy texture. There are plenty of seating options for people, whether it's socializing or studying. It gets pretty busy and wait-times can vary greatly; I would recommend ordering ahead of time. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The only issue I have with the spot is that the drinks do tend to be on the more expensive side, with drinks ranging from $7-9. The matcha drinks are also not the highest quality, and often the matcha tastes quite diluted. Overall a solid spot!

The café itself has a decent atmosphere, but it didn't really stand out to me compared to other coffee spots I've visited. I tried the Halo-Halo latte and the Bibingka latte. Both drinks were interesting and drinkable, but neither left a lasting impression. The flavors were unique and inspired by Filipino desserts, which I appreciated, but I found them more "good" than "great." I also ordered the Nutella Croissant, which was enjoyable but nothing particularly memorable. One thing that stood out was the pricing. The drinks and pastries felt a bit expensive for what they were, especially coming from Orange County where I feel like similar cafés offer comparable quality at lower prices. Since I was just visiting the area, the price difference was pretty noticeable. Overall, it wasn't a bad visit by any means. The drinks were okay, the food was okay, and the service was fine. I'm glad I gave it a try, but it's probably not a café I'd go out of my way to recommend or revisit. If you're nearby and curious about Filipino-inspired coffee drinks, it may be worth checking out once, but I wouldn't consider it a must-visit spot.

Parking was easy, and when we walked in, there was only one occupied table. Three employees were chatting in the back. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.
