Honey lavender lattes are one of my favorite drinks and this one is just delicious and would make me come back to Torrance Nook for this drink. The floral taste is smooth and complements well with the honey. The coffee is robust but smooth. The kouign aman was okay. It was a little dry for my liking. With all that said, yes, I can see what Nook is well loved. The baristas were very friendly and made the drinks with craftsmanship and care. I This time, I went with their Halo Halo Latte. Their Halo Halo Latte is essentially Teofilo's coffee inspired take on the classic Halo Halo Filipino dessert. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. My son got the strawberries smoothie which he didn't even get to drink until we got home since he fell asleep. My man got a shake of some sort which he said was really good. I got the Biscoff shake. But I did add Boba to it. We left on the road and I drink that, but it was missing my Boba which the sticker also showed that it had. I think most people wouldn't add Boba to a shake so they forgot. We were already on the freeway so I had called to ask for a refund for that. They were very helpful and able to refund me that in a little bit more. I appreciate that since we came from out of town and we were exhausted and already stuck in traffic. The Biscoff shake itself was actually really delicious, but yes, I was just missing that Boba. The service was great, and the fact that they did still help me out after we left, I appreciate that very much so this is a spot I would return to you in the future when I'm up in the area.
