Ethiopian au lait. Delicious

Cozy and intimate coffee bar. Husband actually found this location for me and I absolutely loved the pour over. Wish we had time to sit down for coffee to enjoy the deep moody setting but was in a rush, so took it for take out. I really appreciate the barista's knowledge in his beans and his patience in explaining the details. Will need to be back whenever we are in the area !

Drove in from Las Vegas early Saturday morning and found Knot Alone on Yelp. Convenient location right off the 91 freeway and 3 doors down from Rascals. Walked into the place and the atmosphere felt like a luxury spa that smelled of fresh ground coffee. Ordered a latte made with Indonesia beans and whole milk. The latte was the perfect balance of strong and silky smooth with a mild scent of fruit. Happy to find high quality coffee in Gardena! Check knotalone_coffeeroaster IG account for shop hours.

Knot Alone Coffee Roasters is a cute cozy spot for anyone who truly appreciates quality coffee. My friends and I stopped by to try it out, and we were really impressed. I ordered the latte, made from Ethiopian beans, and it was smooth, well balanced, and clearly made with care. The vibes are great: cozy, relaxed, and welcoming. The owner is incredibly kind and clearly works hard, which makes supporting this new spot even better. Overall, it's a great place to visit, and I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area.

I love this place. Their bean selection is solid and the drink choices are good. I will be coming back. Justen told me about the shop and about the coffee and was very cool. The coffee was astounding. I bought some beans too. I highly recommend this roaster! I can't wait to make some drinks with these beans.

Incredible, pour-over focused coffee shop! Justen really knows his craft and I'm so impressed with every drink I've gotten. My sister usually gets a vanilla latte, but since he doesn't do syrups, she decided to try without it. She kept raving about how the roast had so much flavor and sweetness from the beans itself, it didn't even need the syrup she thought she wanted in the first place! The coffee here is so fresh and high-quality. Also the vibe of the shop is this peaceful oasis that really adds to your experience. I love this place!!!

MAI Coffee & Tea House is an absolute gem in Gardena! I am so glad I found this spot. You can…read moreimmediately taste the high quality in their drinks--they actually use organic Straus milk and fresh, locally sourced fruits, which makes a world of difference. The flavors are rich, authentic, and never taste artificial. But what really sets them apart are the toppings. You can tell they don't cut corners because everything is prepared fresh in their kitchen every morning. Their silky mousse and chewy mochi are next-level--easily some of the best I've ever had! The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is super friendly, and the quality is incredibly consistent. Whether you're craving a perfectly brewed coffee, a refreshing fruit tea, or a decadent boba drink, this is the spot. I'll definitely be coming back on the regular. Highly recommend!

I've been going to MAI coffee for the past couple of months, and I've been able to try out their…read morevariety of options. I'm not a fan of coffee so I'm always deciding between their mochi, fresh fruit, or iced teas etc. My go-to drinks are the Yuzu Citrus No. 8 and Jasmine Frost Iced Tea (less sweet for both options). The Yuzu Citrus has the perfect amount of tang with a slight sweetness that cuts through the acidity. The tea flavor manages to shine through the fruitiness, and overall the flavors pair well with one another. The Jasmine Frost Iced Tea is very aromatic and brewed to really highlight the Jasmine. My boyfriend normally gets the mochi mango which has soft chunks of mochi mixed, and tart/sweet mango puree. I appreciate how the smoothie is never icy, and has a creamy texture. There are plenty of seating options for people, whether it's socializing or studying. It gets pretty busy and wait-times can vary greatly; I would recommend ordering ahead of time. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The only issue I have with the spot is that the drinks do tend to be on the more expensive side, with drinks ranging from $7-9. The matcha drinks are also not the highest quality, and often the matcha tastes quite diluted. Overall a solid spot!

Located at The Enclave, Nook Coffee Bar always seems to have a line, so I finally decided to see…read morewhat all the hype was about. On a recent Sunday, the wait really wasn't bad at all. My friend and I stood in line for about 15 minutes, and once we ordered, our drinks were ready in less than five minutes. I chose the lavender matcha, and I was impressed by how well the two flavors balanced each other. Neither overpowered the other, making for a smooth and enjoyable drink. My friend ordered the hibiscus lemonade and found it light and refreshing. One of the best parts of visiting is being able to enjoy your drinks in the spacious outdoor seating area around The Enclave. Prices were reasonable at around $6-$7 per drink, and the cashier was friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can see why this spot is so popular.

Today, we were on our way to Orange County and wanted to grab some coffee along the way. The shop is located in a really cute center with a great ambiance. There always seems to be a line, which is usually a good sign. The staff does a fairly good job serving a large number of customers, but despite that, it still took us about 20-30 minutes to get our order. The coffee was good, but not great--definitely not the best I've had. I hate writing negative reviews, but I wanted to share my honest experience and break it down individually. We ordered a flat white, which was crafted nicely, so I would give that a 5/5. As for the taste of the coffee itself, I thought it was average and would rate it a 3/5. My wife enjoyed it a bit more and would give it a 4/5. One thing I did not like was the milk they use. It is the cheapest milk you can buy, and I personally feel that a gourmet coffee shop should invest in higher-quality milk. For that reason, I would give the milk a 1/5. Ratings: * Coffee Craftsmanship: 5/5 * Coffee Taste: 3/5 (4/5 according to my wife) * Milk Quality: 1/5 * Ambiance: 5/5 * Service: 4/5 Overall, I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5. I personally lean closer to a 3, but my wife insists it deserves a 4, so I'll settle on 4 stars since there isn't a 3.5-star option. I think it's worth trying for yourself and forming your own opinion. In my personal view, the coffee and overall experience were not worth the wait, but it may be worth visiting at least once to see what all the hype is about.

The service wasn't great and only one drink was good or correct. I'm still not 100% sure one of…read morethem was the correct drink. I ordered 2 drinks through the app yesterday, the Honey Bori Latte (seasonal) and the Banana Milk Latte. The Banana Milk Latte was delicious once everything was mixed well, but the Honey Bori Latte was just bitter and then less bitter when mixed. It was already half melted, there was no salted honey cold foam or Jolly Pong which is supposed to be part of the drink. I got the order to go, so I didn't notice that my drink was wrong until I got home, so I couldn't even get it corrected. I didn't realize the drink was wrong at first. I thought it was just a flavor I didn't like even though I noted that I couldn't taste Barley at all. Then half way throught it, I decided to look at the description on the app to remember what it was supposed to taste like because it tasted like an ordinary flavorless latte. The description said there's barley milk, salted honey cold foam and Jolly Pong. That's when it hit me that I either got the wrong drink or someone didn't make it right because there was no flavor of salted honey and definitely no Jolly Pong in my drink. It didn't even look like I had cold foam topping my drink, but maybe that's because it was melting already. Overall, I was very upset and disappointed with my drink, but was happy my mom's drink was fine. Now this is only a part of why I was dissapointed with yesterday's experience. The other reason was the app and workers. Maybe the workers aren't used to working with the Smoking Tiger app yet? Or maybe the app still needs work, but the drinks I ordered through the app took forever to be marked ready even though my drinks had been ready for some time which was obvious because my Honey Bori Latte was already half mixed because the layers of ingredients were melting into each other. I arrived at the cafe about 5 minutes after ordering, but the app's estimated wait time was another 10 minutes which wasn't a problem for me, especially since I saw a person waiting for his order and some people inside the cafe, although it wasn't full like usual. I just assumed some people ordered before me, so I just have to wait a bit, which again was fine with me especially since I was waiting for my mom to arrive. At some point after the one person waiting for their drink left, I realized the 2 girls at the counter were just talking and not making any drinks. I checked the app and it still said my order was being prepared. After 2 more people ordered their drinks and received them immediately, I went up to the counter, by this point it had been the app's estimated 10 minute wait. I told the girl with glasses my name and showed her the order on my phone. Then she walked toward the fridge and got my drinks, put them in a drink carrier, passed them to me and then turned around while looking at the receipt paper that was with the drinks. That was it. She didn't tell me which drink was which and they were not labeled, so my mom and I just had taste them to figure out which was which. At most places, they let you know which drink is which, so I was just confused with the service I received, especially when the place wasn't busy. And to top it all off, my order was marked completed 10 minutes after I received my order which again just left me in confusion. I usually love this place and was saddened when they got rid of their Choco Mugwort drink, but I'm always looking forward to their seasonal drinks and baked goods. This time though, I don't think I was even able to taste one of their new seasonal drinks because it tasted like a regular latte with milk. I want to try their other current seasonal drinks, but I'm also worried about what I will receive in the future and I'm not ready for another disappointing coffee any time soon.

Both the Grapefruit Jasmine and Lychee Fragrant Oolong with Aloe fruit teas were stellar - just the right amount of sweetness at 25% (free upgrade to honey!) and perfect harmony between the fruits and teas in every sip.
