The aesthetic inside is really nice, clean, sunny, and with a few spots to sit and enjoy your drink or get some work done. They have a good variety of drinks, plus a few seasonal options as well. I got the Earl Grey matcha latte, and my husband went with the banana cream matcha latte. Both drinks came out pretty quickly! And they were SO good. I love Earl Grey in my matcha, and Otto Tea Shoppe nailed the flavor. The matcha was earthy and a great green color. My husband really enjoyed his banana matcha (and so did I... wife tax hehe). This was my first time here and I was excited to try another boba tea place! My gf and I went here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy so our drinks came out very fast! I've been wanting to try this place and I'm happy I got to! I went this past weekend on a Sunday afternoon and fortunately it wasn't busy! My drink was made in just a couple of mins. I got a lime explosion (green) tea with brown sugar boba. The boba was warm, soft, chewy and sweet! The drink was nice and refreshing for a hot day. I liked its tartness. It was a little too sweet for me though. They don't ask for your sweetness or ice preference but it's printed as the 'Perfect' level on their cup order. Beware: it felt high in dairy. - not sure how the gifted blueberry matcha latte turned out, but it was beautiful Parking was busy on a Sat mid morning, so you may have to drive down a second aisle. Service was helpful and prompt, though not exceptionally warm. I would like to come back to try other drinks when I am feeling fancy. I drove down to Otto tea shoppe today because I had really been wanting to try their blueberry spirulina matcha latte specifically. the cafe is in a plaza with plenty of parking. when you walk in, you're greeted with a cozy atmosphere and a few spots to sit. I ordered what I came here for obviously lol, and wait time was very short, no more than 3 minutes! staff was friendly and attentive. the drink itself was pretty good, but I wish it had a bit more of the blueberry compote! I also was hoping to get that cute Otto sticker on the cup but unfortunately didn't get one )-: lastly, I would say the music when I came in was superrr loud and kind of depressing. maybe they don't want people spending that much time in there? not sure. eventually it was turned down and more upbeat music was put on but at first it was very hard to relax due to the initial songs and high volume level. read more

Great place to stop for drinks! This drink shop is in a plaza with easy parking. Admittedly, I've only had their matcha, but that says a lot as a picky matcha drinker. I never usually try matcha at boba shops, but based on other reviews, I decided to give the earl grey oat matcha a shot on my first visit. I'm so glad I did! There aren't many good matcha options in this area, but I even returned recently to try their Super matcha (matcha latte with matcha foam) which was also delicious. Boba shops matchas tend to be pre-sweetened or of an okay quality, which is fine, but this shop's matcha is earthy, smooth, and is balanced with whatever flavor you add into it! I got the island matcha latte and I was met with a delight of flavors. I really liked that matcha can have some tropical for my taste buds.

I didn't expect indoor seating, but there's just enough space to grab a seat, catch up with friends, or park yourself with a laptop for a bit. What originally pulled me in were their drink photos, whoever is behind those deserves credit because they look fantastic. The menu has a nice variety: smoothies, matcha, fruit teas, and more. I was tempted by the matcha but ended up going with the lychee jasmine tea. I ordered regular sugar and, for the first time in a while, I actually thought a drink might be too sweet, maybe my sweet tooth is mellowing with age. The last place I expected to have quality boba and tea was Redondo Beach. I would describe this place as the baby of nook, CHA REDEFINE, and HeyTea. They have an incredible selection, good prices, and the vibes are so nice in there! I saw several guests studying/working. It was not whisked properly, the texture was off and the flavor was flat in that unmistakable way bad matcha announces itself immediately. Matcha is simple, but it is not casual. When it's done well, you can taste the attention. When it's done poorly, there's nowhere to hide. This tasted rushed, underworked and overpriced. Service didn't help. I think I found my new favorite boba shop! The quality of the tapioca is 10/10 and the drinks are amazing! I have gotten their signature milk tea and ichigo milk slush. Black Ceylon Milk Tea - 75% sugar with tapioca balls. 10/10! The perfect amount of tea and milk ratio. Perfectly sweet too. If you like it less sweet, try 50%. This is an underrated spot in the South Bay! I came here because it was close to Jus POke, but it ended up being one of the better places I have tried in the area. I got the Avocado Mango and the Earl Grey Matcha. Both were stellar choices. The Avocado Mango had great fresh fruit flavors. A spot where I can get blueberry matcha is the South Bay, hooray! Blueberry matcha has been my latest obsession, and I was happy to see it on the menu at Otto Tea! There's plenty of parking in the shopping plaza lot. The shop itself is a little small. they have two tables inside and two tables outside where you can sit and enjoy your drink. I enjoyed the blueberry matcha. It has a pretty good blueberry flavor! They use blueberry compote, so there's some little pieces of blueberry at the bottom. They also use blue spirulina for the blue color. I appreciate that they use ceremonial grade matcha! I also tried some of the Thai Tea Einspanner, but I didn't think it tasted much different than a regular Thai Tea. Overall, would go back for the blueberry matcha! read more

I love their toppings. The barley popping bobas are rarely offered elsewhere. This was the first time I tried them. The brown sugar mochi jelly is not too sweet. This is a good thing. The lychee flavor came through nicely and paired well with the jasmine tea. It was refreshing and well balanced, though next time I'd probably go with half sugar to adjust it more to my preference. We also had the blueberry spirulina matcha, which was really good. The combination of blueberry, spirulina, and matcha came together smoothly without being overly sweet. My friend wanted to check out this new matcha place so we went on a Thursday night. There was a steady stream of customers but the wait for our drinks wasn't long at all. I was excited to try the strawberry matcha latte (one of my favorite matcha drink combos). Really yummy quality tea! Great parking lot. Quick service. Clean spacious aesthetic. If you remember the boba shop from before, it looks very similar, just the decor is more minimalistic. I ended up getting a roasted oolong and a Jasmine tea latte with alternative milk, super yummy! I initially came in to get matcha. I wanted a banana matcha, or something interesting under the premium matcha line BUT they pretty much all have DAIRY except for the basic matcha drinks you can get at other places. Went here a couple weeks ago with my friends and this was when they were still soft-opening. I got the Island Matcha and they got Banana Matcha. I didn't really like my drink because that coconut syrup and macadamia was strong and sweet. Definitely would prefer coconut water over syrup. My friends thought their drinks were okay as well. It did take some time to get our drinks because there were only 2 staff members working with a lot of orders coming in after the other. I was here last week for a Yelp event and came back today with my LO to try another drink because what I had ordered at my first visit was just so good. Came around 2:30 and it wasn't very busy. There was plenty of parking spots. The construction throughout the plaza seems intimidating but all the stores are open. I can't drink anything caffeinated after 12 noon if I want to sleep at night so I chose the avocado mango smoothie. They use fresh avocado and fruits and you can definitely taste the difference. I don't like my drinks too sweet so 30% sweet was perfect for me. The drink had mango and bits of grapefruit. It was delicious I ordered the ichigo strawberry for my LO at 30% and got a thumbs up from her. I can't wait to come back and try their premium matcha drinks. read more

Finally, a good boba spot in the area! I know there are some in Torrance/Gardena, but when the boba craving hits and you need to satisfy the craving fast, Manhattan Beach is far from those areas. Otto Tea Shoppe is a quick 10-ish minutes down PCH and is probably my favorite boba spot of anywhere atm. My go-to is a matcha latte with boba, quarter sweet with oat milk. I stumbled into this café to grab a matcha latte after going to Michaels next door. I ordered an earl grey matcha with oat milk and it was really great! I wouldn't call myself a matcha connoisseur, but I do love myself a good matcha.
