I've been to this place many times -- every time I go to Manhattan Beach, I believe. Today, I tried the strawberry flavor. You can see the actual bird of strawberries in the ice cream scoop. And their scoops aren't tiny -- they are the full, overflowing scoop of ice cream. The staff is helpful and friendly. You can try some flavors before you decide what you want to get. Today, the inside was decorated for the World Cup 2026 fans, and there definitely were some global visitors, judging by the languages I overheard in the line while waiting for my turn.
I went to manhattan beach creamery for dessert. The Sundae was thick and creamy and the interior was super cute, like what you imagine a typical ice cream shop. Service was quick and there was no long line. It's what you expect from a classical ice cream shop flavors wise as well
Loved this creamery! I felt like a tourist lol too bad we got salt and straw before we discovered this otherwise would've tried their icecream! But we did get other goodies including a candied apple, and Dubai chocolate covered strawberry. Both were so good and had the right amount of sweetness and freshness. There was a long line to get icecream too so i think this spot is popular. They have souvenirs and other sweet goodies too. I'd love to come back and try their icecream!
They have a lot of different options to choose from, like chocolate, ice cream or even cheesecake! I went with ice cream, and they had so many flavors. My choice was the Fruity Pebbles Passion Fruit in a waffle cone. I'm not sure if the freezers weren't working that day, or maybe it was just too hot but a lot of the ice creams were melting. Some worse than others, mine was relatively okay but it melted enough that it caused the cereal to go soft. The flavor was delicious however, and I would like to go back to try the other ones!
I stopped by Manhattan Creamery with a group of six and almost ordered, but decided to check out Salt & Straw down the street because of all the hype. Big mistake....I wish I had stayed here. Sometimes you just want classic flavors done right, and that's exactly what they offer (no over-the-top combinations, just really good ice cream). The ambience is clean, there was a bit of a line but it moves quickly, and they have lots of flavors to choose from. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and they happily let us sample before deciding. The Cookie Monster flavor was unforgettable. Definitely coming back next time.

And everyone there is so nice great customer service!! I will always come here

Some of my personal favorites include Maple Bacon Crunch, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Bananas Foster -- along with 25 other delicious options! You can top any flavor with Oreos, sprinkles, or fresh fruit, or go all out with a sundae or a classic Banana Split for an extra special treat. Such a yummy ice cream spot in Manhattan Beach. Got a triple scoop, but asked for it in a cup and for a chocolate dipped cone on the side. My highlight was the Super Sonic flavor, which was a sprinkles flavor, so yummy. The sticky bun flavor was good as well. Next time I'll try for a cookie sandwich.
They have the biggest assortment of desserts. From ice cream to Carmel apples and everything in between. I love the aesthetic in here, so colorful and happy. They are fast even with the notoriously long line. We got the oatmeal cookie bananas foster ice cream sandwich. It was 10/10 I absolutely loved it. I am a big banana fan and oatmeal cookie was a good pairing!
If you're looking for something more than just a regular ice cream place - you'll be fully satisfied. Frozen cheesecake, caramel apples, all kind of candy and more! Absolutely recommend it. My kids are obsessed with this place but we live in OC and can't go there all the time... service is also wonderful
Living so far from home, I don't get the opportunity to spend the time I want with my younger sibling. So why not beach and ice cream our first sister date in a year. My sister is autistic, I've been trying to teach her maneuvering through life without me or our parents. Especially with me having cancer and not sure what my life looks like in the coming years. I enjoyed how patient the staff was with my little sister even with the growing line behind us. They allowed her to decide on her flavor, and even count her change at the cash register. Her match and my banana sandwich!!!! Jesus Lord delicious
I come here for one thing only, their dipped chocolate banana. 10/10! There is a real scarcity when it comes to chocolate dipped banana availability anywhere. So Manhattan Beach Creamery has been my literal lifeline to them for years. Best part they have dark and milk chocolate options! They also have sprinkles and chopped almonds along with plain dark chocolate and milk chocolate. The chopped almonds and sprinkles do come in milk chocolate only I believe. Its about 10$ now I think. I literally do not mind the price because they are that good and have a generous coating of chocolate. You could easily share it with a friend because it so filling and massive. 4 stars just because I hardly try their ice cream so I'm unfamiliar with their work but chocolate banana is the best,I've introduce everyone to these. It's amazing!
Nothing is better than ice cream after a long walk at the beach. This place is variety of ice cream and sweet treat. Staff is very friendly and helpful when asking for samples.

TLDR: A good stop for sweets that you know the locals love and support. I've been here a few times, and I'm yet to try a flavor that I don't like. Hand packed quart: I love that this is $15/16. In a world where pints are edging closer to $13, it's nice to still know a place that rewards you when buying more from them. I like how the ice cream looks soft enough off the scooping area that the person hand packing the quart can do it relatively quickly. Chocolate: I think it's above average, but I won't question it if you think that it's just fine. Chocolate for me has always been about finding that line of "not too sweet" and finding that hint of bitterness to get you down from that sugary high. I feel that this place finds that balance well. Ambiance: The place is dated, borderline vintage. I think they should lean into it, and I think they do. Service: Professional, quick, and what you want when buying dessert. Yes, there is a line, but it runs pretty quickly. read more

They have everything from ice cream, malts & milkshakes to cheesecake pops, chocolate covered bananas, and plenty other sweet treats. Service was good. The young lady helping us was very patient while we tried to narrow down our ice choices. She gave recommendations and let us sample a few different flavors. Unfortunately, it didn't hit the spot. They have tons of flavors to choose from, but the ones I sampled weren't really to my liking. I decided to make an ice cream sandwich with two chocolate chip cookies and banana chip ice cream. Manhattan Beach Creamery is an independent, local Manhattan Beach landmark worth a stop for anyone visiting the area - and multiple visits if they are to your taste. While I've been here a few times this is my first formal review. I came with my family one Sunday evening on a hot July day, bypassing several chains on the way, including the new(er) Salt and Straw across the street. The inside is packed to the brim with sweets, small toys, and people, much like a candy shop of old. After reaching the front of the winding line our family shared a Banana Split ($13) - three scoops of ice cream, a split banana, hot fudge, a single dry topping (we chose coconut), whipped cream, and a trio of cherries - about as classic as it comes. The ice cream was good but not exceptional. The chocolate and strawberry were fairly generic, but I liked the third scoop of banana foster ice cream which had a nice banana kick. I doubt this ice cream is home made. The complements and construction to the sundae were great, however, and the flavors came together well. As I would hope for a location like this, the staff are local youths who served with patience and passion. In cases throughout the store are several of their other specialties - ice cream cookie sandwiches, dipped frozen bananas, and more - inviting repeat visits. Prices are elevated but not crazy for such a trendy area, although I would say with the middling quality of the ice cream a couple dollars less would be fine. Overall, Manhattan Beach Creamery is a local landmark worth at least a single visit for anyone in the area. If you can get past the generic, if a little boring, ice cream flavor and rampant commodification of the interior, you'll find a classic ice cream parlor with great service and history. I can't believe I've never done a review of my favorite local creamery! One of my favorite things to do is come here during fall and get the pumpkin cheesecake ice cream, it's sooooo good! The service is always very friendly and the ambiance very cool and fun. If you haven't been, you should definitely stop by if you're in the area :) read more

When you walk in, you don't feel like you're in Manahattan Beach! There is a lot going on in the shop and ambiance. But in terms of dessert options- it has everything. The employees were nice and helpful. I even asked for them to cut one of the cookie sandwiches in half for me! read more
A cute dessert shop in Manhattan Beach with a large variety of dessert options. They sell candy, brownies, cookies, ice cream, and many other dessert items. It's like a dessert paradise! We came here for ice cream after dinner at a restaurant nearby. The ice cream here is delicious! We got 2 scoops of ice cream with a waffle cone--one lavender and one toasted coconut. The ice cream was perfectly sweet and creamy. The lavender had a nice floral flavor. The toasted coconut had a nice coconut flavor, and the toasted flakes added great texture and crunch. The flavors tasted quite natural and not artificial at all. I also got to try their brownie which was soft and not overly sweet. The portions that they gave for each scoop of ice cream were quite large too! I shared with my mom and we almost couldn't finish it all! The workers here are also really sweet, and I was able to sample many flavors. Overall, great quality ice cream and this will now be my go to ice cream/dessert spot whenever I stop by Manhattan Beach. read more

This place was so fun! It was such a great ice cream shop for all ages and tastebuds. The chocolate chip cookie sandwiches dipped in chocolate were an absolute must. Oh and you just can't go wrong with a single scoop of ice cream too! So so many different desserts to enjoy along the pier and take for the ride home. I highly recommend bringing all the kiddos and sampling some delicious ice cream flavors. read more

This place is awesome! If you're in town and looking for a sweet treat, look no further. Manhattan Beach Creamery is the spot to visit! We came here for the ice cream and had no idea everything they offered. Ice cream, cookies, ice cream sandwiches, and way more frozen sweet treats. Plus, the inside is decked out and looks awesome. It's a vibe inside! We tried multiple of their flavors and a few different of their ice cream cookie sandwiches too. Everything was delicious! The ice cream is so good. They have a huge selection and something for everyone! The staff is very helpful and patient. We had a big group, and they took their time with all of us, including samples of many of their flavors. Highly recommend stopping in and strolling the boardwalk or beach. It's absolutely worth it! read more

We love this place! I came here with my wife the other day because she wanted to try the new trend Dubai chocolate. It didn't disappoint. I all got the cantaloupe ice cream delicious! And super unique. Previously we also ho their Ube and Oreo ice cream very good. Grab a cone and walk down the pier you really can't beat it. read more

The Creamery has been posted on the corner of Manhattan Beach Blvd and Manhattan Ave holding the city down for 20+ years. It gave the city life, it ain't about who did it first it's about who did it right..... It's a versatile, willing to do whatever you ask it to candy store that is a time capsule of the late 90s, as opposed to a soulless ice cream shop (looking at you, Salt N Straw.) Their options range from candy apples to bananas foster to macaroons to niche 90s candies you forgot existed to traditional hand made small batch ice cream scoops. You want it, they got it. For example, I walked in here yesterday and bought a pack of Big League Chew. When was the last time you saw, heard, or thought about Big League Chew? It's still so elite too I'm gonna order a box. I paired the Big League Chew with a custom creamwich, in which I got a monstrous scoop of cookies and cream ice cream JAMMED between 2 sugar cookies. So many memories in here too. We used to come here after a long day at the beach with a big group, and pay for you and your crushes ice cream with the crispy $20 bill your parents gave you thinking you were a BOSS. Such a staple when coming down to Manhattan Beach. They have such a large selection of treats and desserts that look divine. Their selection of ice cream flavors is unique and you can tell the ice cream is well made and good quality. They were pretty busy today which makes parking difficult. Prices are pretty high for ice cream but its worth it once in a while. read more
