Offering samples, and taking the time to explain how authentic there signature syrups are! The la Minerva latte is my absolute favorite! It's richly spiced with amazing traditional Mexican flavors! Cafe Minerva is a small cafe located at the heart of Manhattan Beach. Some of the stuff we ordered was their La Minerva, Chori-Man Breakfast Burrito, and La Xocolate. When I found out they sold Cafe De Olla, I immediately informed my husband because of his love for it. While it did have the seasonings, the coffee tasted slightly "stale" on our tongues. We were slightly disappointed, especially because our hobby is to try different coffee and coffee beans. The Xocolate was also a questionable drink. When I first got it, I had to double-take whether I received the right order. It was very watered down. I was expecting something reminiscent of a chocolate drink, but when I took a drink out of it, I barely tasted anything but the syrup. The last thing we ordered was their breakfast burrito. This burrito was probably the highlight of our order! Each bite I took was amazing, and it had the right amount of ingredients in it. The only downside would be the size of it knowing that we paid $12 for it. Overall, if you are looking to try something new in the area, Cafe Minerva would be up your alley! read more

I am thrilled this establishment opened! I am a fan of they have incorporated the culture with the Hermosa Beach vibe and aesthetic. The colors and ambience are inviting. The owner Herman has created a welcoming environment but his baristas and staff are all just as welcoming - that makes a huge difference. It is what sets a commercial coffee shop apart from a neighborhood coffee shop. They have Mexican sweet bread and breakfast burritos too. I ordered the cold brew black (cafe Minerva) and truly enjoyed every sip. It's so earthy and easy on the palate, balanced, smooth. The prices are so reasonable as well. I enjoyed the burrito and look forward to them expanding their menu and hours (I hope a salsa comes with the burrito soon, like a creamy chipotle or something, yum!) This place is absolutely perfect. Not only did it live up to my expectations, but exceeded them. It has such a warm and welcoming vibe, the whole staff is so sweet! My iced La Minerva Latte was easily one of the best lattes I've ever had. Unfortunately I've grown to be pretty picky about my coffee and this one was top notch. The flavors were perfect! Not too sweet, everything perfectly balanced. My daughter loved her iced strawberry matcha too, she said it was "way better than starbies". Our new favorite coffee shop! I've gone every weekend for my weekend splurge and have not been disappointed. The Cafe de olla Latte with cold foam is my favorite drink ever! And the conchas omg sooooooo good! I'm obsessed with the fact that she did not tone down her culture and instead lets it shine through her delicious drinks. The decor makes me feel at home and I love showing my kids the culture we sometimes lack in our little sleepy beach town. Her staff is amazing always sweet and smiling which you don't always find. Amazing addition to the neighborhood. Their doors are finally open and we couldn't be more excited. We are obsessed with our go-to order (cafe de olla) and conchas. We look forward to picking up burritos with our coffee on the weekends. Today I tried their warrior cold brew with cold foam and it may be my new favorite! I can't wait to try their matcha too. My wife and I have already put ourselves on a budget, otherwise we would be here once or twice a day. So excited Cafe Minerva finally opened, every time I would drive by I would eagerly look to see if it was open and I can say without a doubt it is worth the wait. I had the Minerva latte, it is so so good, flavors are perfect, perfect temp for a hot latte, I was able to drink it right away without scalding my mouth. I also had the chori man breakfast burrito and of course it was delish. When I woke up today I was craving the coffee immediately. I can see why there are already so many repeat customers. Also had a Chori-man breakfast burrito which was maybe the best breakfast burrito I've had in a long while. I consider myself a little bit of a connoisseur of the breakfast burrito - at least I've eaten a lot of them in my day and it's one of my favorites. This one's not to be missed.
