The good: I got the nico espresso over ice and it was delicious! It had cinnamon and orange flavors and was subtle and balanced. The coffee flavor was wonderful (no over roast flavor and not too acidic). They sell a lot of really cool giftable products that are made by the store themselves (chimichurri kit, shortbread, olive oil, etc). They are walking distance to the beach so you can enjoy your coffee while taking a nice beach stroll. Ollie the cafe mascot (a samoyed I think) is adorable. The drink was made quickly. They sell their own grounds and have tea as well. They sell pastries as well. The bad: Ollie wasn't at the cafe but his picture was. The interesting: They have an indoor and outdoor space that blend into each other. The outdoor space has picnic tables and a wide open sliding door area that allows lots of natural light and air into the shop. They have a few other locations. read more

Came back recently to redeem a free drink voucher from the last time we went and the barista was inundated with orders that they forgot our pourover. We've been coming to this location since the grand opening. Previously, we went to the location in North Santa Monica, where we discovered the delicious Gibraltar and shaken espresso drinks, after a hike at Temescal Canyon. When we went a few weeks ago from this review, they had a new seasonal section! All in, if you got all the fixin's and alternative milks on a peppermint mocha with cold foam - it was $10! Worth it! I miss the alfajores they had when they were open their first month. read more

Had a lovely experience stopping at Caffe Luxxe for an afternoon pick me up. I will start off by saying we love the espresso drinks and tea, which are consistently great. We used to come here multiple times a week and do not anymore. Unfortunately, there a few major flaws which haven't been resolved by management: 1. They got rid of most all of their great pastries, and now they only have simple croissants or muffins. Nothing interesting anymore like breakfast sandwiches and danishes, which differentiated this coffee shop from others. 2. Their lids do not fit their cups and are too loose. We have spilled our drinks consistently on ourselves because of this. When we brought this up with the cafe, they said that they got a "bad" batch of lids. But this has been going on for months now. We have seen other customers spill their drinks as well with loose lids! Huge bummer when you're heading to work and the lid pops off and spills coffee on your shirt. Would love to see this Caffe Luxxe resolve these issues! read more

My wife and I like to try various coffee shops ,while on vacation. I have to stay Caffe Luxxe is very good. The store is very clean with lots of merch and swag. The coffee was spot on and the pastries were excellent. We both had lattes that were made to perfection and the Almond Croissant was incredible. There is a patio area outside with seating. Parking is on the street. This is a good choice for your morning cup. read more

Ten plus stars for this amazing place! I'm sad I wasted my money at Peet's yesterday before stumbling upon this gem!! I had been to the Luxe in LA many years ago and remembered it well so I was ecstatic to find this one while trolling the streets of MB. I was warmly greeted by the baristas and was impressed with the impeccably clean cafe and beautiful display of pastries. I ordered two lattes and an almond croissant and as you can see be the photos, the delivery was perfection!!! I like to visit different coffee shops when I'm in the area but I feel like it's rolling the dice when you get a coffee so delicious with a stunning presentation and such kind service. Now the ambiance is very chill I came to do some work oh my computer I loved the outdoor lounge chairs. I mean if that's not customer service, then I don't know what is. I know that they have a lot of really popular signature drinks but I just love their simple iced vanilla latte. Great service and friendly workers. Alexia and Nicole were very nice and helped make sure I got the perfect beverage as well as answering all my questions about the location. I got the cafe Nico with oat milk extra sweet and it was delicious. I'm so happy there's a new location near home now because I love caffe luxxe. The interior was really pretty and spacious as well. I love the little flower boxes out front. Parking was plentiful when I went but on weekends near the beach I'm sure it will be more challenging. Will definitely come back here again! This is my second time visiting MHB Caffe Luxxe - two days in a row! It's a cute neighborhood coffee shop that's steps from the beach. Outdoor seating is perfect for a coffee with your friend or your dog! I tried the banana almond chocolate croissant and it was uniquely delicious. I've never had one like that before. The croissant was $7.50 -- yes you read that correctly. I also got the shakerato once again because the iced coffee with dark chocolate is what I need any day it's above 65 degrees out. Staff is consistently friendly and the coffee overall is fantastic. Also worth noting that it's locally owned and operated. Hooray for Caffe Luxxe! read more

As a true coffee lover, I can confidently say this is hands down the best coffee place in LA! The staff here are incredibly nice and knowledgeable about their craft. Nice little spot in Manhattan Beach. Good for a grab and go coffee to walk the neighborhood. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is open and bright, but a bit industrial. Not a lot of tables for hanging out or working at, which is why I recommend grab and go. I enjoyed my Montenero Coffee. It was strong and went down easy. So yummy! I came with a friend and had the Caffe shakerato and caffe nico as they're the shop favorites. I recommend both! The caffe shakerato is more chocolately whereas the nico has a unique cinnnamony citrus flavor. I was impressed by the service and answers from the barista who was open to answering questions and wanted our drinks made exactly how we wanted. This was an odd coffee shop experience in that there are many tables and it's a nice environment, but there is no WiFi and very laggy service. The employee let me know that none of their locations offer WiFi. So, if you need internet, this probably isn't going to work out--even if you have hot spot. At least it didn't work for us.
