I always order take out here. Wraps are always good and chicken is always tasty and juicy. However, ordering the rotisserie chicken has been a hit and miss. I've ordered the dark meat special, which supposedly includes 4 legs and 5 thighs. First time I ordered it, it only had 8 pieces with 4 small legs and 4 small thighs. I didn't complain, thinking it was a honest mistake. Ordered it for the second time, and it was complete with 4 legs and 5 thighs (decent size). Ordered it for the third time last night, it had 6 small legs, 2 thighs and neck portion with mostly bone on it and hardly any meat. You can tell that meat was carved from the bone. It seems like that the neck bone was deliberately thrown in the container to complete the 9 pieces. Disappointing for $19 price. read more

I only really like the Melrose wrap and the Chinese wrap here. I tried their 1/4 rotisserie chicken (all dark meat) and the portion was honestly pretty sad. For the price, it just isn't worth it. I prefer the Beverly Hills location over the El Segundo one because they always gives me extra chicken in the wrap and on the side. I have been eating at California Chicken Cafe whenever I am near LA area after a return back to LAX or near downtown before a game and forget to post how much we love this place. It was my first time trying wraps from Calif Chicken Cafe and I am impressed! I tried their Melrose wrap recently which I heard is one of the most popular. I instantly could tell why this is such a beloved wrap. It's huge in both size and flavor. It's packed with chicken, avocado, white cheddar cheese, greens, onions and tomatoes. It's smothered with mayo inside but it is also accompanied with Italian dressing. With its large size, the wrap easily was enough for two meals! I was full after just eating half. I was definitely happy and content. Flavor-wise everything on point. I loved the tender chicken plus fresh greens and avocado. So glad more and more CCCs are opening South of LA. Used to frequent them in West LA, and now there's one closer to me. Randomly driving around El Segundo when we found this CCC location. Easy parking in a nice clean plaza with multiple food options. While there's outside seating, this location feels more like it's intended to be a to-go, quick pick up option. Everything, except the kitchen is basically done outside. Workers take your orders outside and will bring it to you when ready. The food quality is still very good compared to other CCC locations. It's fresh, healthy, and an excellent option any time of day. Our favorite go-to item is the Chinese chicken salad, dressing on the side. They're dressing isn't your typical "Asian" dressing. It's a mix of sweet, nutty, and fresh. Try it for yourself, you won't regret it. Half chicken or all dark meat is great if you just wanted chicken. Juicy and flavorful chicken. The skin can be very salty sometimes, but good with the chicken meat The wraps are good as well, Caesar, Chinese chicken. All are good options. For sides, my two favorites are the pasta salad and the potatoes. The potatoes are well seasoned, and the pasta salad is my "cheat" dish. I wanted to give 3.5 stars, but not possible. I really love my Chinese Chicken Salad from this place. Always fresh. The girls that run out my order are always so great (I tip them $5 every time)! But...today and two orders ago, I did not get my extra pasta and two orders ago I didn't get my extra white meat chicken. I spilt the salads into two and found that works well when I get my salad. Ask of the Kitchen: PLEASE check the order you are filling. I became lax because I trusted things were right so my fault there. However, when it's on the receipt, someone should be double checking. What I love about getting food here is their rotisserie chicken. Super juice, well-seasoned, and reliably good. My favorite is their white-meat quarter chicken. I often get their Chinese Chicken Salad which I've heard is also one of their top-ranked menu items. This salad features white meat chicken, almonds, Mandarin oranges, Chinese noodles, and a side of Chinese dressing -- a fresh-and-crunchy contrast to the warm rotisserie items. I like to get an extra side of dressing as its hard to make at home. I often splurge and get their Chewy Coco-Nut Cookie as a dessert and it taste great! Overall, good experience here. wow am I disappointed in this location. I don't believe I've ever put a single star review... but this experience just now deserves it... 7pm Friday evening in the pouring rain during so cal atmospheric river and place my order for dark chicken meal, two sides a wrap, and two cookies. Said give them 10-15 min since they're busy. Totally ok. So far so good right...??? They are watching me standing in rain and cold. Now almost 30 min since order and trying to be patient and I ask for a quick time check. Apparently the mobile terminal that they took my order on didn't go through despite them saying everything ok when I completed the order. No "oh my gosh I'm so extremely sorry we didn't catch that" nor "hey can i throw in the cookies for free given the situation"... just very nonchalantly had me repeat the order like we did before and they handed me print out receipt this time...just in case I get charged twice so I could get a refund. Waited another 10 min to get it. So now we are 40 min into this... The kicker is the atmospheric river. Pouring rain and cold and still trying to patronize their location but definitely makes me think twice when treated this way. Quick, fresh and clean! Despite how busy this storefront is, I was quickly served on a lunch rush. I tried the Ranch Wrap and Chicken Pasta Salad Side. The wrap was large enough for me to eat just half, whereas my colleague ate his entire wrap. Another colleague had their Chinese Chicken Salad which was crunchy and delicious with the wonton crisps. My personal favorite was the Chicken Pasta Salad Side since it had a good balance of protein to pasta! The California Chicken Cafe was recommended to us, and we are glad that it was. I had the Rancho Chicken Wrap and the Vegetable soup. Both were delicious and hearty. Gotta update based off their timeliness. I like their wraps and it's easy for team mtg. I order roughly 15-20 wraps every month for my mtgs, I order at least an hour before I plan to pick up. And the online order tells you when the order will be ready to value your time. Today I order and they were running 40 minutes late. For casual dining order pickup this is too long. The thing that really put me over the edge when I asked for the third time if they could check-in on my order (which the girl kept telling me about 7 min) the guy said. "You're not the only one who ordered 29 wraps". I work in a hospitality field and am customer facing every day. This is not how you handle. They need to apologize and take ownership. My office ordered catering for lunch and it was our first time doing so. We had a variety of the melrose, Caesar, and veggie wrap. I only tried the Caesar wrap and it was really good - even better with their bbq sauce! We also had the roasted potatoes and a few salads. The roasted potatoes were really well seasoned and cooked all the way (my biggest pet peeve is undercooked potatoes at restaurants T.T). I only tried the Chinese chicken salad and it was good, ingredients were fresh and it seemed to be a fav. I ended up not finishing my wrap and ate it a couple hours later - it kept pretty well! Based on the food I got to try, I would recommend this place! A lot of people from my office also seemed to enjoy it too! read more
