10/10 food and service! I had the Chicken shawarma plate and the obligatory chips (which I drowned in their delicious Tahini) . My mom had the lamb shawarma and when I tell you EVERYTHING tasted just like my childhood when Benito was cheffing it up in Westwood . The food here is super fresh, flavorful, and full of care. The service was just as amazing. Benito is so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell he takes pride in serving up top notch food. Totally worth the drive from south OC, we will definitely be back!

We love this place! One of the best shawarmas I've ever had in my life. It is the sister location of the Westwood staple Falafel King. You have to get the beef and lamb Shawarma with cheese. The homemade chips with their home made tahini and hot sauce is next level. The falafels are perfect and everything is homemade. Supporting restaurants like this is important, if we don't they will be replaced with Chipotle. Please visit this spot and spread the word.

Falafel Queen has finally opened a restaurant in the South Bay, conveniently located in Downtown El Segundo with plenty of parking. The owner, Benito, is incredibly friendly and welcoming, with a strong commitment to both food quality and customer service. Having worked at Falafel King in Westwood from 1987 until its closing in 2019, Benito now brings his years of expertise to his Mid-Wilshire restaurant and to this new spot, serving up delicious falafels, shish kabobs, shawarmas, and other fresh, healthy Mediterranean dishes. I stopped by today and had the steak kabob sandwich--tender, medium-rare steak just as I ordered, paired with mixed greens, tahini dressing, and a side of hot sauce. It was absolutely incredible! And don't miss their homemade, ultra-crispy, thinly sliced potato chips--they're addictive! Highly recommended!

Excellent quick service falafel, salads and wraps. The gentlemen who work there are always super nice; one of the guys in particular. T hey make the falafel and the meat when you order so everything is fresh and excellent. My go to is the falafel plate with a can of Diet Coke. There is a small lot with parking. I usually opt for the street parking since the lot gets busy with everything nearby in the area. There are a few two-seater tables inside but I usually get my order to go. Have never had anything I didn't really enjoy from Falafel Queen.

Stopped here on a whim. Service was incredibly kind and fast. Suggestions were made regarding what was good. Even brought out free falafel samples for my kids. Got the chicken plate with salad has the babaganoush and the spicy eggplant. Both good salad was fresh. Portion was plentiful with pita and homemade potato chips. Falafel was very fresh and tastes good. Has indoor seating mostly two seaters but very clean. No bathroom, park in plaza. Would come back!

Best falafel in the South Bay and all of Los Angeles! The falafel pita sandwich consists of herby, well-seasoned deep fried falafel balls that are crunchy on the outside yet still fresh and moist on the inside. It is served in a pita pocket full of fresh veggies and freshly made hummus and topped off with bonus pieces of deep fried, battered thinly pieces of potatoes. Falafel Queen is a revival of Falafel King in Westwood. The owners decided to closed down and thankfully Benito who worked there as the cook/chef for over 25 years decided to open a his own restaurant and continue the tradition. Falafel Queeserves fresh, healthy and deliciously craveable food made quickly and fresh to order. The chicken shawarma is also delicious and you can't go wrong with an extra side order of the deep fried potatoes and baba ganoush. Benito is always very friendly, attentive, quick and welcoming.

Great hole in the wall! I've never been to Falafel King in Westwood, but having eaten at Falafel Queen, now I get the fanfare. This spot is a tiny corner joint in a strip mall across from Standard Station. We were the only ones in there at the time, but the food was stellar. Ordered the baba ganoush and the falafel sandwich. WOW/ the baba ganoush was chunky and smoky, and came with these cute house made potato chips. The falafel sandwich had so much flavor, and literally bursting at the seams (of the pita). Don't forget the hot sauce! Please come and support, you won't regret it. They also have beef, lamb, chicken, steak, and salmon. I want to come back and try the dolmas!

Great falafels, I would go back just for those. But a weak shawarma. I would not have it again. Nice gentlemen behind the counter though.

It is a smallish window with covered patio seating. No indoor seating. Good for takeout or small groups. Plenty of parking. I've never really heard of Mexican Mediterranean fusion, but it kind of works. We ordered the family combo for lunch in hopes of feeding 5 dudes and 2 kids. Boy was there a lot of food and then some! Huge box of rice, another full of falafel, one for salad, one for sauces, and a random box of quesadillas. The meat was split between chicken and gyro, plus pita. Everything tasted great. The gyro was not classically shaved meat but more like cut burger patties but that wasn't exactly bad. There was plenty of food to take home for another meal or two. Will definitely be back, but next time will be more adventurous and try their fusion burritos or nachos

There is a ton of parking since it's in a shopping center, and the service here very helpful, quick, and nice. Lastly, the other positive for this establishment is the quantity of food. If you're looking to get full for cheap, this is your place. However, overall I did not like the food. They do market themselves as "fusion", which I guess allows them to have creative freedom over what is being served. I ordered the King Family pack, which is expected to feed 4-5 people, but in reality maybe served 7-8 people. I got 1/2 Chicken Shawarma and 1/2 Gyro as the protein, and I believe they are using the terms "shawarma" and "gyro" incorrectly... what we received was a half container of super dry chicken breast chunks and what looked like flattened hamburger patties in the other half of the styrofoam container. Neither one of these meats were prepared on a spit and shaved. The seasoning and flavor was not terrible - maybe close-ish to using a more authentic Mediterranean spice blend, but the meat was SO dry. The chicken breast chunks were disappointing, since we were expecting true shawarma (thinly sliced meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie). Same with the meat patties - which seemed like thin hamburger sliced - instead of seasoned shaved meat cooked on a rotisserie. I ordered a side of falafels, which were just OK... I wouldn't get any of those protein options ever again. It did come with a full (packed to the brim) styrofoam container of pretty decent rice and a full (also packed to the brim) of "greek salad" which contained mostly frisee and spring mix topped with diced tomatoes, diced white onions, sliced black olives, and an unusually large container of ranch dressing (and two sides of what tasted like an italian dressing or vinaigrette dressing). We also got a box of hummus (probably the best tasting thing I ate), a box of potato salad (a little runny for my taste, but flavor was ok), and pita bread (that was a little hard and stale). We lastly got a box of cheese quesadillas (very random). I didn't get to try these but they didn't look extraordinary and a bit greasy. I added on a few sauces for $6 extra - 2 really small containers of tzatziki, 2 small containers of garlic sauce, and 2 small containers of tahini. All in all, I wouldn't come back here and I wouldn't recommend this to any of my network (despite the high ratings). I WOULD probably recommend this to people who have a goal of getting full for cheap, but I was very disappointed with the quality and flavors of my $70+ meal (as well as everyone else who partook in this family meal).

I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon, where a few other patrons were already dining. The seating has around 6 or so tables inside that can fit around 4 each, and they also have high chairs for children! I ordered a number 17, which is the gyro, and got a side of hummus and pita then found a table to sit at. I had just finished buckling my child into the high chair when my order was delivered to my table! They are super fast here! The super friendly waiter delivered my meal, and I dug in. The gyro was stuffed with meat! This is a huge deal, since a lot of places skimp and don't give enough. So extra points to Al Hamra for a job well done. The flavor of the meat was juicy and well seasoned, super delish! The hummus and pita was good, although I usually add a bit of spices to my hummus so this one was a little plainer than I'm used to. Either way, it was a nice addition to the meal. The grand finale were the desserts! I usually go for baklava, but decided to try the knafeh, a layered cheese dessert with syrup and pistachios. Get the knafeh! The warm cheese and syrup were so delicious and made for the perfect ending to a good meal! I will definitely be back, the food was super tasty, and the people working there were friendly and helpful. Thanks for the happiness, Al Hamra!

Our group of four adults and two kids came in starving. I had the chicken kabob wrap, which was a perfect burrito-sized meal, while my husband enjoyed a beef and chicken kabob plate that fully satisfied his appetite. Honestly, the highlight for me was the warm pita served with garlic mayo, so much better than the cold or room-temperature pitas you often get at otherMediterranean spots. We also shared dessert, the kulfi cheesecake, and left completely stuffed. Al Hamra is a cozy family-run restaurant with just a few tables, but the food makes it well worth it. I'll definitely rotate between this spot and Chicken Maison for future visits.

I was on hold on another phone call at the time, so I came inside and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with Esmeralda and let her know the handicap space was being blocked. She told me she would call the non-emergency number since I was already on the phone. She stepped away and later returned. When I asked if she had called, she indicated the phone line of their line was busy, even though it was around 10:30 a.m. and the phone was right beside her. Because I was concerned the issue wasn't being addressed, I called the non-emergency line myself and reported it. While I was still on the call, an employee went outside and moved the bikes. Accessible parking exists for people with serious medical needs and disabilities. Situations like this make it harder for those of us who depend on those spaces.
