I went to an event for 30 people in a private dining room area, buffet style. So I plated my own food, but wanted to write about the food. The service was great. Even for a large group, our server was very attentive. Everyone picked what they wanted previously and was charged by the person based on their selection. I got the 2 chicken skewers and the chicken was juicy and tender. It was so good I ate the entire thing. The rice was decent, same with the salad with Greek dressing. My favorite was the Jalapeno hummus. It was so good, and had a nice kick to it. They gave us plenty of garlic sauce and pita bread. I really also enjoyed the garlic sauce, I personally prefer a very garlic forward sauce and for my personally it was on the milder side, but still very good. I dod order the Zucchini dumplings, and it was ok. I wasn't a huge fan of it. Maybe the cheese in that I wasn't a fan of. I'm not saying it tasted bad. It was just not my thing. There was plenty of parking when we went on friday night and overall it was a great time for a private event.
Came for lunch with my coworkers. There was ample parking outside and lots of seating inside. We sat down with no problems at all. I got the chicken shawarma plate with the artichoke pesto hummus off of their lunch specials menu that runs Tuesday-Friday 11am-3pm. Before our food came out the server gave us pita chips with toum. These were to die for! An amazing appetizer. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The artichoke pesto hummus was a good addition as well. The plate also came with a side of rice, salad, and pita. There was so much food I could only eat about half of it and had to take the rest home. 10/10, would definitely come back again!
Hawthorne gem! The is such a welcoming, bustling spot. My friend was dropping someone off at LAX so this was a perfect place to meet-up. We had lamb kebab & a chicken shawarma plate, with some baklava for desert. And oh my goodness, the variety of hummus they offer. Every time I eat here I have a new favorite. Great value and truly outstanding service. Just a warm, lovely place!
I wanted to try another Mediterranean restaurant, and the place I went to had plenty of seating. The server was really nice. I looked at the menu and ordered the falafel plate with salad, hummus, and pita. My partner ordered the chicken burger and the garbanzo soup. This place has a lot of positives: good location, free parking out front, spacious restaurant, and attentive service. The server came out within 15 minutes, and the food was ready. They served us hummus, pita chips, and pita. Portion sizes are good. We actually ate the hummus and salad and took our main dishes home for later. I asked the server to put the dressing on the side for my salad, and once the server realized they had already mixed the dressing in, they brought out another salad, which was really nice of them. The chicken burger was fresh and tasty, with a fluffy bun, nice flavors in the sauce, and well-seasoned chicken. The sides that came with my falafel plate were good. The soup was hot and fresh. Nice added touch to the meal. The only downside was that my green falafel was overcooked and burnt. You can tell by the photos that it was left cooking too long. Other than that, it's a great place and I recommend it.

We stopped in a few months ago based on Yelp reviews. The restaurant was dark and could have had better days. We selected some baklava in the display and asked to also purchase some pita chips. When we got home and opened the container of pita chips, they were all broken into little pieces, like what you'd find at the bottom of a bag of crushed chips. Needless to say, we were disappointed as we were planning to dip them in some fresh hummus. Baklava was just ok. The restaurant was not busy with customers when we entered, but the kitchen seemed to be cooking up take out or pickup orders. Don't think we'll be back.
I was craving Mediterranean food & came across Hummus House! The food is good, the staff is welcoming and the food comes out hot & is flavorful. I will definitely be back!
First time trying and omg I'm glad I went with this place thanks to the reviews and photos... food is amazing and fresh and hot , I called in my order and picked it up the staff is very friendly and service was fast as well.. the inside was nice and had a few ppl already eating even though they just opened .. I definitely recommend 100/10
Been coming here for years and am never disappointed with their food or service. When we came with a big group today, Siraj helped us out and suggested the group platter. Everything was great. Chicken, beef and lamb kefta, and beef skewers. They even got us fries and extra salads.
I was out running errands and got hungry, so I stopped here for the 1st time. I could eat Mediterranean food any day, and they were close by. The restaurant wasn't busy and I was immediately seated. The waiter/host was friendly and provided prompt service.I ordered the Mahi wrap and the cilantro jalapeno hummus. The wrap was good, but a little smaller than I imagined. The cilantro jalapeno hummus was good but I expected more heat. I'll be back soon to try the shrimp wrap and other hummus flavors!
We love coming here. The young man named Roel helping us yesterday provided such great service. The food is always amazing and delicious. We got the chicken samosas as our appetizer and 7 kabobs meal that comes with 4 hummus flavors, pita, 4 salads, and rice. We got all of them beef kabobs, they do up-charge 1.75 per beef but so worth it. We added a chicken and kafta kabob too. The ambience is great and they have space at the front and back of the restaurant. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Let me start by saying that a place that has hummus in their name better have good hummus! Their hummus is really good, I've tried several different flavors here and I got to say, most slap. The rice is not overdone or underdone, it's just the write kind of plump to it, the chicken itself was flavorful and not dry. Typical Mediterranean salad, get their taziki sauce off the table to top it off some more if you'd like. What bummed me out is the pita bread they provide for the hummus was too dry, hey we're not quite a chip, but definitely not soft pita. Gotta give this place a 4, for now. Their pita bread game needs some work, everything else seems to work well though! Come try their hummus, they are out of this world. read more
I've never actually sat in the restaurant and ate, but every time I have gotten takeout here, it's been so delicious. I will admit that mediterranean food is usually pretty mid for me, but this place makes me LOVE it. The meat is always tender and flavorful no matter what meat I get, and the pita bread always pairs so well with it and the sauce and rice. The place is kind of unassuming, but I can tell it's authentic and legit. The staff is beyond kind, even though I am just picking up food. We love coming here. The young man named Roel helping us yesterday provided such great service. The food is always amazing and delicious. This review is long overdue, I've been coming here for about 10 years now. Let's start with the staff , young crew, but they're amazing at what they do and have the best attitude and the best service you ever seen in an any place I've been to. You think you were at some five star resort hotel how good their service is. Now onto the food , I had this place catered for my wedding. That's how good it is. The beef kebab is insanely delicious and out of this world something you wouldn't expect from the outside looking into this place. If you know you know. there is no match to this type of food anywhere I've ever been. The flavor of the meat beats any place that serves any type of beef period. The chicken kebab is great as well. All their foods top-notch and amazing. The hummus is great. I can't say enough. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to drag people to this place to live far away, but they refuse because they never heard of it . Do yourself a favor head down there one weekend take your day and get the beef kebab and you'll be blown away. read more

Falafel 8/10 - Had a lot of fresh greens inside - Taste a bit different than traditional falafels - Still recommend Chicken Shawarma Wrap 10/10 - had hummus already inside - Chicken well seasoned - Salad inside was good. Hummus & Tzatziki 10/10 - perfect dip for all my food Chocolate Baklava 10/10 - had chocolate drizzle on top - Had a crust on the bottom - Yummy flaky layers Pita Bread 7/10 - standard pita bread I ordered my food to go through the phone and they were nice enough to let me eat in the restaurant. The food took about 20 minutes to be ready. The food was full of flavor and was more than enough for one person. I think two people can share the amount of food I ordered. The customer service is amazing here as well, the workers are very kind and welcoming. The location was clean and tidy. The location was not busy around the time I went which was at 12:30 pm. Will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. read more
Four of us enjoyed a takeout dinner from the Hummus House recently. The interior of the restaurant is nothing to write home about, but don't let that fool you. The food is excellent. They offer a wide range of different hummus variations. Our favorites were the roasted red pepper, the artichoke, and the jalapeno cilantro. The braised lamb shank was tender and flavorful. The beef shawarma and kafta kabob were nicely seasoned, and the chicken kabobs had a nice char on the outside but were still tender and juicy on the inside. We also had the fried chicken, which is not always available. On this evening, it was. Lucky for us - because it was crispy and beautifully seasoned. Yum. All of the food had a wonderful aroma. Prices were fair and portion sizes were generous. read more

Probably one of the best Middle Eastern meals I've had. Ordered the chicken shawarma plate with cilantro jalapeño hummus, salad, cup of lentil soup and a traditional baklava. All of it was amazing. Highly recommend coming here and dining in if you can. This is a whole in the wall (respectfully) that's a must when in the area. A few yrs back when we were around the area we ordered food and ever since we said we would love to eat hummus house again. Service was great. Very courteous and sweet waitress. I am sorry I don't remember her name. We ordered the kabob platter and falafel for starters. I have to say, especially for LA, this is an incredible value. The kabob platter comes with two kabobs, rice, salad and your choice of hummus with pita. Roughly 15 bucks for this amazing, fresh food is unheard of. Everything was absolutely delish. We went with the cilantro hummus and wow, I would eat just that and pita all day. Not to leave out the falafel.. it's exactly what you'd expect. Crispy, not oily and full of flavor. The ambiance is lacking. And I really hope the owners put in some work with the floors, tables, and lighting. It's really necessary to drive this home run in. We will return, again and again! Hummus house continues to be my favorite spots for a tasty chicken kabob . I usually do pickup . We opted on eating at the restaurant and it was just a plus. The warm pita bread was hard to resist . If in doubt go with the jalapeño hummus !!! Love it here read more

First time ordering, noticed this place driving by. Will definitely order again- it was easy ordering via yelp. The food was good, chicken moist. Hummus was good, garlic sauce on point. Only thing missing would be homemade pita bread but that's ok, we got the store bought kind. read more
Authentic Mediterranean food is hard to find. This place is by far the best in the South Bay. The ambience is a little out dated but their friendly staff and delicious food make up for that. The hummus was amazing and the lamb kabobs were so tender and delicious read more

What days are you guys open for dine in? i called at 7:30 on Saturday night and was told you are not open for dine in.
Last Dine Ins are at 7:30 so you have to be there before the 7:30 cut off to be served.
What is their garlic sauce base? Oil, yogurt, other? I've read about it on comments but not sure if I am able to eat it :/
