HUMMUS IS A MUST ORDER !!!
    Jaz R.

We got the family platter #3 plus two extra chicken skewers - WOW!! The meat?!? So tender so JUICY, I've never seen chicken fall apart tbh. SO SO GOOD. The rice is great and the charred veggies. The only thing we didn't love was the salad/salad dressing. The dressing just tasted a little odd and maybe had no salt at all but no strong flavor hence was weird lol and the actual salad was just with cheap greens that we dont like (iceburg) so it was awful, we ate a little bit i wouldn't come here for the salad. But the freaking meat?! 10/10!!! The hummus is DELICIOUS but it comes in a container half the size of the cucumber sauce which was also fire. I would order two hummus, really tasty! It's take out only - food was ready within 15 minutes. Will def be back!!

On my days off from my Thai restaurant lol, I love to have my fav international cuisines. Especially middle eastern. The kind of best rich tasting cuisines I grew up with as a child.. feasting. When it comes to my fav Persian cuisines, I always just come here to dine in or take out or both with my usual 2 fav childhood stews.. the koresh bandamjan and the koresh sabzi. And of course with real cherry rices. And with the persian salad on the side. All so delicious. The service here is always polite and friendly. Happy for this family to open their new location soon. But i like to keep coming to this one.

Persian food is one of my favorite cuisines and while visiting some family for the weekend, I had the sudden urge for some Persian food. Chicken Chick came through to satisfy my cravings! I ordered the Koobideh Combo Plate and Persian Eggplan (Kashke Bademjan). I also had to get a taste of their Ghormeh Sabzi since that is also one of my favorite dish so I got a small side of that delicious green stew. The beef and chicken koobideh were very tasty and juicy. The Persian Eggplant was very light and smooth; it wasn't swimming in olive oil (although I do love it when it is). And the Ghormeh Sabzi was as delicious as any place I've had it before...a behemoth of a meal thanks to my over-order but the food coma that entailed was all worth it.

Food consistently hits the spot. Service - they treat you like family. Ambiance - never fails to relax your senses the delight to see the food, smell the aroma, taste every ingredient and you realize that it is a labor love in every bite. We always order the combo platter so we can have some leftover to enjoy at home. The best way to end your experience is to sip some hot tea with some rose essence. Everything is just perfect . Don't take my word for it .. Bon Appetit

Delicious little family owned placed, love how fast the service is, friendly staff, and the food is just simply amazing. If you're into spicy, the spicy juicy chicken is one of their signature dishes, the sauce is added on the side to add extra kick. The hummus is a little on the salty side, but still delicious. I'm obsessed with their Persian salad.

Lamb Shank - can't believe it's Lamb! So good and soft! Def a new favorite.

Don't let the construction outside deter you from going here lol. Good food, reasonable price, good service. Truly a gem in South Bay. I like their juicy chicken but love the koobideh more. The lamb shank tho...juicy, saucy, and a little sweet but tangy from the tomato-based sauce....ugh, so good. Add the red hot sauce they give, and you get that kick and extra flavor boost. Many people take their food to go since the dine-in area is very small, plus that ridiculous construction outside, but it's nice to eat in every now to eat the food hot and fresh from the kitchen.

Ordered by phone for takeout, which you pick up at their temporary location in Lawndale (16711 Hawthorne Blvd. - I called 424-396-3438). I ordered my usual Juicy Chicken combo with cherry rice upgrade and Persian salad substitute. It is the same great flavors as it has always been, including the broiled tomato that comes with the Juicy Chicken kabab. The pickup location is used by a lot of different restaurants, so just follow your GPS to go to that address. (There are many signs labeling that location such as "South Bay Eats," "Food Pickup," "Pineway Food," and so on - see the photos.) Street parking only. It looked a bit sketchy at first but not to worry, everything worked out fine. We entered the glass doors, went up to the window in the wall, told them about our phone-in order from Chicken Chick and we could pay right there. Food was hot and yummy as always. I'm glad they are able to continue to provide great-tasting food prior to their new permanent location.

"Chicken Chick Mediterranean in Torrance delivers juicy, tender chicken bursting with flavor. The service is impeccable, making for a delightful dining experience." They recently moved to a new location in Hawthorne and I'm so glad that this business didn't closed due to the issue with the old building they were located before. My go to chicken kabobs place. I highly recommend it

I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon, where a few other patrons were already dining. The seating has around 6 or so tables inside that can fit around 4 each, and they also have high chairs for children! I ordered a number 17, which is the gyro, and got a side of hummus and pita then found a table to sit at. I had just finished buckling my child into the high chair when my order was delivered to my table! They are super fast here! The super friendly waiter delivered my meal, and I dug in. The gyro was stuffed with meat! This is a huge deal, since a lot of places skimp and don't give enough. So extra points to Al Hamra for a job well done. The flavor of the meat was juicy and well seasoned, super delish! The hummus and pita was good, although I usually add a bit of spices to my hummus so this one was a little plainer than I'm used to. Either way, it was a nice addition to the meal. The grand finale were the desserts! I usually go for baklava, but decided to try the knafeh, a layered cheese dessert with syrup and pistachios. Get the knafeh! The warm cheese and syrup were so delicious and made for the perfect ending to a good meal! I will definitely be back, the food was super tasty, and the people working there were friendly and helpful. Thanks for the happiness, Al Hamra!

I had the chicken kabob wrap, which was a perfect burrito-sized meal, while my husband enjoyed a beef and chicken kabob plate that fully satisfied his appetite. Honestly, the highlight for me was the warm pita served with garlic mayo, so much better than the cold or room-temperature pitas you often get at otherMediterranean spots. We also shared dessert, the kulfi cheesecake, and left completely stuffed. Al Hamra is a cozy family-run restaurant with just a few tables, but the food makes it well worth it. I'll definitely rotate between this spot and Chicken Maison for future visits.

This was my second visit, and unfortunately I had the same rude experience. I tried to overlook it before because I liked the food, but tonight sealed it for me. I brought a friend because I had been hyping up the spicy hummus, and we were excited to go. We arrived around 7:16 PM, and right away the cashier was rude and told us our order had to be to-go because after 7:20 PM they don't allow dine-in. I mentioned it was only 7:18, and she responded with attitude, saying, "Oh, it just turned 7:20." I don't mind paying for good, quality food--even if it's not cheap--but I won't tolerate rude service. No matter how good the food is, the experience matters just as much. This place wreaks of "I want to pretend to be a chef/cook, to make money but have no idea on earth what it takes to do it". I HIGHLY recommend, the cook go to culinary school before opening a place to sell food. There was no one in the restaurant when we arrived. We ordered chicken wings (came out under cooked) they were littered with cilantro..why? Who does that? And the plate was splashed with buffalo mostly missing the wings. As if a baker would do with a dessert plate and some Carmel or chocolate drizzle. Weird. The mozzarella sticks were from Costco. And he laid them on one single piece of iceberg lettuce leaf. No marinara. Just cheese sticks and an old leaf. I recommend a few classes in plating your dishes. I also ordered water and an iced tea. He charged us $5. He then proceeded to walk outside to the liquor store nearby and purchased an off brand bottle of water and a lemon iced tea and gave it to us. Lol talk about unprofessional. Imagine ordering a burger from a new place and they take your money and walk across the street and bring you a Big Mac. Wild It took 37 mins to get our appetizers (wings and mozzarella sticks) At the one hour mark I had enough. I asked him to refund me my money as it was taking way too long for our food. And I noticed he was JUST starting the pizza we ordered sprinkling mixed cheddar cheese from Costco on it...WITH NO GLOVES. I've eaten pizza all over the world and have NEVER seen a pizza made with pre shredded Costco cheddar cheese. He then said "I already made your chicken kabob plate" and pointed to a plate that had about four inches of lettuce and a chicken kabob lying on top..sitting there getting cold. I asked how long before you bring me both, he said "about 10 mins". lol The best thing that happened about my experience is that I got a refund. But you can't refund my time. Honestly, I wasn't going to share my experience but when I seen that I wasn't the first that had this level of unprofessionalism, I changed my mind. I applaud anyone stepping up and trying to be successful in whatever endeavor they choose but when you are so ill equipped that it clearly is a hindrance to your progress, and you choose to ignore it instead of trying to make changes to make things better, that's a problem. There's a huge responsibility when cooking food and serving the public. You can make people very sick and or kill someone. I recommend this business be closed down. There is a ton of parking since it's in a shopping center, and the service here very helpful, quick, and nice. Lastly, the other positive for this establishment is the quantity of food. If you're looking to get full for cheap, this is your place. However, overall I did not like the food. They do market themselves as "fusion", which I guess allows them to have creative freedom over what is being served. I ordered the King Family pack, which is expected to feed 4-5 people, but in reality maybe served 7-8 people. I got 1/2 Chicken Shawarma and 1/2 Gyro as the protein, and I believe they are using the terms "shawarma" and "gyro" incorrectly... what we received was a half container of super dry chicken breast chunks and what looked like flattened hamburger patties in the other half of the styrofoam container. Neither one of these meats were prepared on a spit and shaved. The seasoning and flavor was not terrible - maybe close-ish to using a more authentic Mediterranean spice blend, but the meat was SO dry. The chicken breast chunks were disappointing, since we were expecting true shawarma (thinly sliced meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie). Same with the meat patties - which seemed like thin hamburger sliced - instead of seasoned shaved meat cooked on a rotisserie. I ordered a side of falafels, which were just OK... I wouldn't get any of those protein options ever again. It did come with a full (packed to the brim) styrofoam container of pretty decent rice and a full (also packed to the brim) of "greek salad" which contained mostly frisee and spring mix topped with diced tomatoes, diced white onions, sliced black olives, and an unusually large container of ranch dressing (and two sides of what tasted like an italian dressing or vinaigrette dressing). We also got a box of hummus (probably the best tasting thing I ate), a box of potato salad (a little runny for my taste, but flavor was ok), and pita bread (that was a little hard and stale). We lastly got a box of cheese quesadillas (very random). I didn't get to try these but they didn't look extraordinary and a bit greasy. I added on a few sauces for $6 extra - 2 really small containers of tzatziki, 2 small containers of garlic sauce, and 2 small containers of tahini. All in all, I wouldn't come back here and I wouldn't recommend this to any of my network (despite the high ratings). I WOULD probably recommend this to people who have a goal of getting full for cheap, but I was very disappointed with the quality and flavors of my $70+ meal (as well as everyone else who partook in this family meal).

She told me she would call the non-emergency number since I was already on the phone. She stepped away and later returned. When I asked if she had called, she indicated the phone line of their line was busy, even though it was around 10:30 a.m. and the phone was right beside her. Because I was concerned the issue wasn't being addressed, I called the non-emergency line myself and reported it. While I was still on the call, an employee went outside and moved the bikes. Accessible parking exists for people with serious medical needs and disabilities. Situations like this make it harder for those of us who depend on those spaces. After realizing the situation had not been handled honestly or with urgency, I felt uncomfortable staying. I requested a refund and left. The steak atop risotto, a favorite from Jackson's (the prior establishment here), was near perfect. But the star of the show was the Salmon Esquites--perfectly cooked salmon over fresh corn, lime, crema, and pinto beans. I am salivating writhing this! And I'm going back soon!

I've been wanting to come here for a while and finally decided to visit yesterday. The staff was…read moreincredibly friendly and welcoming. It was a little hard to find the entrance, but you enter through the patio area. The interior is very chic. It feels like Tulum vibes. Now, for the important part, the food. I ordered the crispy Branzino and a side of charred broccoli. I will be honest and say the presentation was a little underwhelming however, the taste was incredible! I literally ate everything! It was the best meal I've had in a while. I also had a spicy Mezcal with aloe cocktail, very good. The bartender came to my table personally and gave me this recommendation which I thought was really cool. I believe this cocktail will be on their Spring menu fyi. Overall, a great experience. I'm really looking forward to coming back to order the exact same thing. Lol.
