Market Grill is located inside of Jon's Market. There is plenty of parking. As you enter Jon's Market, Market Grill is to the left. There are a couple of tables and chairs for a quick meal. Our go to meal is MMP 1 which includes: 1 Whole smoked chicken 1 Large basmati rice 1 Medium salad shirazi (cucumber, tomato, onion salad) The chicken, we will request it to be cut in 8 pieces and to provide bbq sauce and salad dressing on the shirazi. We've also enjoyed the tri tip, sausage, ribs, salmon, white fish, and kabob. They will run out so try to go before the lunch or dinner rush.

I've been to Market Grill once before but somehow only noticed the American BBQ part. The other day I was yelping Mediterranean food and had to do a double take when it listed Market Grill at the very top. Conveniently located inside Jon's Market, there is a big parking lot but just be aware of people driving in the wrong direction. *SMH* Market Grill is Just to the left when you first enter. You won't miss it as all the wonderful aromas come wafting towards you. There is quite a selection and you can order your kebabs at the same time as your baby back ribs. I ordered #3 which comes with chicken kebab and a beef kebab along with basmati rice, a green pepper and a tomato as well as a small cup of refreshing cucumber salad. We also ordered the baby back ribs with two sides. There are plenty of choices for sides. We chose the potato wedges which I didn't care for because they were too crunchy and the veggies. The portions for both orders are huge and it took us two days to finish them. The meats were cooked perfectly and were so flavorful. You can order by phone but I only had a 10 minute wait on a Saturday night. You can opt to shop in the market while you wait for the order or sit at one of the tables. I was very pleased with my order and will be back to try the other offerings.

What a chicken kabob plate should look like. Not shown is the cucumber salad.

Okay boys and girls, don't waste your money at Chicken Maison or similar spots that give you miniscule chicken pieces on the shishkabob orders. If you truly want the best kabob for your money, come here and enjoy a delicious and Houmongus chunks of chicken kabob. The dish is made to order and the chicken it's absolutely juicy, tender and flavourful. The order comes with a generous portion of basmati rice, a huge tomato and pepper plus a side cucumber salad. I've been here before and other dishes such as the tri-tip, the chicken, the chicken skewers, the lentil soup, the potatoes have all been amazing. One order is sufficient for two people at a minuscule price. This grill is inside Jon's Market. It definitely does not disappoint. There are tables if you want to eat there and you don't mind the ambiance of not being a regular restaurant but you will be glad that you came to eat all of this amazing food.

Located inside Jon's market, I had no idea that this place existed until our friends catered chicken and beef kabobs and veggies for our group gathering. The portions were big and everything was cooked well and tasted delicious. I've also had their tri tip and it's always cooked perfectly for my taste. Love this place!!

Located inside Jon's Market, you can choose traditional American BBQ or Middle Eastern food. Just like everything at Jon's, the quality is excellent and there's something for everyone at Market Grill. You can take out or order at the counter and dine-in. I usually order and then shop a little before picking up my order. Of course, I ordered the Chicken Koobideh. It came with, interestingly enough, a large corn muffin plus a delish cucumber condiment salad. Yum! The only thing missing was the garlic toum which I did purchase separately from the actual grocery section at Jon's. I would definitely be back again. Parking in the large lot.

I love stopping by here when I get the chance! Fast, affordable, delicious and so many options. Everything is well seasoned. I haven't explored the b.b.q. side besides their chicken but everything to the left side is delicious! The picture shows a drink with their combo but they don't have drinks, ever. You're paying for the plate itself. They should at least reduce the cost since there's no actual drink included or remove the drinks from the photo. @makeMePrettie Highly recommend! Try different things when you're there!

Located inside Jon's Marketplace on 190th street in Torrance is Market Grill. Market Grill offers both Mediterranean cuisine and American cuisine. On the Mediterranean side one can get a variety of kabobs, lentil soup and basmati rice. One of my favorites is getting the Mixed Koobideh with Cali Rice and Dill and Fava Bean Rice. I love their different basmati rice. Typically combos just come with plain basmati rice but you can pay an extra $3 and get the special basmati rice that has veggies or other topings. The extra $3 is a tad pricey but the special basmati rice such as the Dill and Fava Bean rice is so good. It is a meal in itself. The American side is called the Smokehouse and they offer different bbq such as tritip, bbq ribs and sausage. The meat is so tender. You can pair the meats with a variety of sides such as creamed spinach and potato wedges. Prices range from $8.99 lunch specials to mixed plates for $16.99. The prices are fairly good and you get a ton of food. They also offer specials of the week which can be found in their weekly ads. I love getting lunch here after grocery shopping at Jon's because the food is fair in price and great in taste.

Just tried their food for the very first time yesterday. All I have to say is yum yum. Ridiculously good. Good portions. Excellent prices. Huge selection. What else can you ask for. Beef & Chicken Koobedeh Combo $12.03 including tax. Opted the salad instead of the rice

So good! Who would've guessed that a grocery store deli style Mediterranean/Smoked BBQ meats place would be so good? I don't have pics of our food cuz we ate it so quick! Was looking for some Mediterranean food around where I was driving and came across the yelp reviews here. Granted there aren't a lot but they are all high. I decided to give it a shot and we ordered the beef koubideh plate, the chicken koubideh lunch special (a good deal) and the chicken kebab plate. Everything was deeeelish! I also ordered 2 lbs of their smoked baby back ribs and 1 lb of smoked tri-tip (sold by the pound or as dinner combos with sides) to bring home for dinner. The meats were really well done! Even after reheating they were tender and the flavor was such smoky goodness. Their bbq sauce tasted homemade it I really liked it--it wasn't too tangy or too salty. Would definitely order from here again!! We did have to wait for them to cook the lunch food but we just shopped around the Jon's marketplace!

Wagyu Butcher offers a unique Japanese Yakiniku experience…read more They offer three different tasting menus centered around super high-quality Wagyu, U.S. Wagyu, and/or U.S. Prime meats. If you want to try the best they have to offer, you should go with the "Wagyu Omakase," which includes A5 Matsuzaka beef. For those who have never heard of Matsuzaka beef, it's one of the big three varieties of Wagyu beef along with Omi and Kobe beef. The list of amazing dishes is too long to list here. However, I will highlight the three most memorable dishes. 1. Roast beef salad - The moment I had my first bite of the roast beef, I knew I was going to love this place. It was incredibly soft and packed with beefy flavor. 2. U.S. Prime Short Rib with sweet soy sauce - This is not Wagyu, but still incredibly fatty and very delicious. 3. Sukiyaki A5 Wagyu (Matsuzaka beef) - This is the best piece of meat I've ever had. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender, like cotton candy. Be warned though. It's going to be a marathon. It's a 15-course affair spread out over an hour and a half. I almost didn't make it. By the time they served the Matsuzaka beef, I was almost too full to take another bite. But it was so oily and delicious that it reinvigorated my appetite and powered me to the finish line. For the Wagyu Omakase, you will be responsible for cooking your own meats except the Shrimp Ajillo with Bone Marrow, and Matsuzaka beef (they will cook one of the two slices for you to demonstrate how to cook it). Fear not about undercooking or overcooking the meats. A restaurant employee will kindly and helpfully advise the best cooking time for each meat. Most meats are done in a mere 20-35 seconds. Unlike other Yakiniku or Korean BBQ joints that offer no more than two or three different sauces, Wagyu Butcher pairs the different types of meats with a variety of tasty sauces, each sauce provided to maximize the flavors of the meats. When they ask if you want either the A5 Wagyu Filet or Beef tongue, I recommend going with the filet. I ordered the beef tongue while my wife got the filet. Not saying the beef tongue was bad. It was good. However, I tried a bite of her filet and found it to be much tastier. If you want the Omakase experience, you will not be able to just stroll into the restaurant. You'll first need a reservation through Tock. Be prepared to provide your credit card to book the reservation. I used to think Manpuku was the best Yakiniku restaurant in the South Bay. After dining here, I've got to say that Wagyu Butcher is much, much better. I encourage others to come check this place out for an incredible dining experience.

I ordered the following items from the menu: St. Louis-style ribs, Beef rib, brisket, potato salad, coleslaw, and chili. The St. Louis-style ribs were very easy to bite into and flavorful. The beef rib (only available Fri.-Mon) was perfectly tender, smoky, and fatty. The bark wasn't excessively thick, which I appreciated. The brisket, which I got the fatty part of (they ask you if you want the lean or fatty cut) was my favorite of the three. So fatty, juicy and satisfying to eat. None of the meats really needed the sweet bbq sauce I got with the meal. The side items were spot-on as well. The potato salad, coleslaw and chili were the best I've had in quite some time. I regret not getting some chili to go. I have a sneaking suspicion a nice helping of it on hotdogs would be amazing. Can't wait to come back to this place. Now let's talk food, because this place had me rethinking my bellies choices. The spicy beef soup pulled up like a warm hug from someone who also isn't afraid to roast you. Flavorful, comforting, and spicy enough to remind you you're alive. The beef ox tongue, wow ..listen. If you've never had tongue that melts like butter and grills up with that perfect little snap, this place will convert you. I was out here chewing like I was signing a peace treaty. The prime rib‑kalbi was so juicy and tender I almost apologized to it for eating it. Almost. The kimchi came in hot with the tangy attitude, balancing everything like the responsible friend in the group chat. And the raw beef tartare. So delicious and clean, fresh, and seasoned like it went to culinary private school. I took one bite and immediately felt like I should be wearing a fancy watch. Overall, Sei‑Ko‑En is cozy, clean, delicious, and unintentionally comedic, because every dish had me making faces I hope nobody recorded. A must‑visit for anyone who loves Japanese BBQ with Korean soul and a side of "wow, I didn't know food could do that." Exploring great food, one bite at a time! Miguel C.

I remember really liking the food, so I'm not sure why it took me until yesterday to finally check this place out. It was absolutely amazing. They nailed every aspect of the dining experience. Let's start with the service. It was phenomenal. The restaurant staff members were pleasant and efficient. All the dishes came out very fast. While I cooked most of the meats on the grill, there were some items that were carefully prepared table side by staff. I enjoyed the ambiance of this place. There was music softly playing in the background. The room temperature was cool - an absolute necessity when cooking food right over open flames in front of you. I ordered the Manpuku Premium set. I loved the food, like a lot. Here's a run down of almost everything I had: Manpuku Salad: It was fantastic. I'm used to eating a Japanese salad with the generic carrot ginger dressing. You know what I'm talking about. This one had a nice sesame oil flavor to it. Not sweet, more savory. A refreshing change from the norm. U.S. Kobe Filet: This was probably my least favorite cut of meat of the day as it wasn't as marbled and flavorful as the rest of them. However, it was soft as butter - exactly what you would expect from a premium piece of tenderloin steak. Seared Beef Nigiri: It came with 4 pieces, but we ordered an extra two pieces. The nigiri was delightful. Imagine eating the perfect piece of toro nigiri except it was made of highly marbled Wagyu beef. U.S. Kobe Sukiyaki: This was easily the best thing I had here, and that's saying a lot since I had a lot of great food. While I was allowed to cook the rest of the cuts of meat on my own, this one was specially prepared by a restaurant worker since the meat had to be cooked and prepared in a certain way to maximize the flavor experience. The meat, when dipped in the raw egg yolk was pure bliss. Fried Rice: It came out sizzling hot in a stone bowl. The fried rice was okay, but absolutely necessary for the meal. A lot of the meats were very fatty. The fried rice did a bang up job soaking up the oiliness of the meats when consumed together. U.S. Kobe Boneless Short-rib, US Kobe Chuck Flap, and Miso Skirt Steak: These were all home runs. They were tender, fatty, and incredibly tasty. My favorite of this trio was the short rib since it was the most marbled of the bunch. Garlic Edamame: I've had my share of edamame in my life, prepared in a variety of different ways. I used to like how a restaurant called Backhouse in the Santa Monica area used to serve their garlic edamame. It was my favorite edamame around. Sadly, that establishment no longer exists. This restaurant's edamame reminded me of the Backhouse edamame. It was perfectly warm and flavored. Simply outstanding. For dessert, they let you select from a list of options. I had macha ice cream, as that is my favorite flavor of ice cream at a Japanese restaurant. It was very creamy and not overly sweet. Best part was the ice cream bowl was chilled. Kept the ice cream cold. It was the perfect way to end a fantastic dining experience.
