Essentially you order at the front through the machine or the lady at the counter. She was friendly and process quick since it's an express location. You can still sit and eat but you are not served. It seems they're best known for their rotisserie chicken here, so I went with the half chicken served with rice and salad. My husband ordered the vainita chicken stir-fry since we had enjoyed it at the regular location. Since this is the express setup, everything is served on paper plates with plastic utensils. We didn't mind at all because the food was still delicious. I especially loved the rice soup that comes with the meals. My only complaint is that the green sauce was extremely spicy. I wish they offered a milder version because I didn't have anything to pair with my chicken. I also didn't see chicha morada on the menu, only Inca Kola. A couple of months ago, my dad went through the drive-thru wearing a "Back the Blue" hat, and when he pulled up to pick up our food, the employee at the window made rude comments in Spanish and mocked him for it. First off, the exterior of the place is pretty cool; kinda has an ancient old world Inkan vibe going on. That kind of set off my hunger bells to check the place out- especially their prized roasted chicken. I decided to get their combo plate which includes two sides, which was white rice and salad. I have to say, my chicken was super tender, and the seasoning was spot on. The salad was really good and was loaded up; and the rice as well. And.... my combo came with a traditional rice/chix soup and a really interesting tasting hot sauce. It's really worth checking out if you want honestly good food under $20. We got the family meal for a dinner party of 8 adults. It is a steal! 2 whole chickens, 2 soups, 4 sides (we got 2 salads and 2 fries), green sauce, and a 2 liter kola all for $50. Soup is chicken and rice soup. It was a tad salty but chicken was extremely tender. Green sauce was more white and spicier than normal, but that wasn't a bad thing--just different. Also wished the salad was more substantial and the fries had more flavor. I guess that's what the green sauce is for haha. Additionally, we ordered lomo saltado because why not? Can't go wrong with grilled onions, tomatoes, and steak. It is a crowd pleaser. Overall, glad this place opened up so we don't have to drive farther to eat at the restaurant and pay for the service. This location on Torrance Blvd and Anza where the old KFC used to be. This location has better tasting food and better service than the Hawthorne Location. I've been here a few times and the chicken are bigger and juicier! I always get their family meal of whole chicken with 2 sides. Sides are very limited selections so we always with fries and rice, or salad with bland house dressing. It also comes with a large chicken rice soup which is delicious. I always add a Pollo Saltado juicy. The green sauce is delicious but it's SOOO SPICY!! Could you make one thats not spicy please??? :-( I'm looking forward to visit this location more often since it's closer, food tastes better and cleaner, and faster service. read more

My order was delivered by uber eats and one dish was missing. I called to find out where my food was and was told that they knew they didn't deliver the dish yet made no effort to make it right. The manager said he would call me back to make it right but of course never did. They are just lying thieves that do zero to correct their mistake leaving me with not enough food to feed my guests. The staff that was on when I went were friendly and accommodating since I was not sure what I wanted and had a few questions. Pollo Inka Express is now in Torrance! I've always been a fan of El Pollo Inka and was happy to hear that they opened an express restaurant in Torrance. This new restaurant takes over the location that previously housed KFC. It's on the corner of Torrance Blvd and Anza. This location is pretty new but already quite popular. Friday lunchtime was quite busy and it took 25-30 minutes to get our orders. I felt that they were prioritizing take out orders first versus the dine in orders as noticed a few folks who ordered to-go get their meals first. Our orders consisted of Pollo Lomo Salatdo and Tallarin Verde con Pollo. Both were $14.99 and came with Cilantro Soup. I was slightly disappointed that the Cilantro Soup came out cold. It was a little surprising that it was cold because I had expected it to be hot and fresh with the long wait time. Nevertheless the soup was still tasty. I was happy though that the entrees came out nice and hot. I could definitely tell the entrees were freshly prepared. Both entrees were quite delicious but I did notice that there wasn't a lot of chicken in the Lomo Salatdo dish. The chicken with the Tallarin Verde was also slightly burnt. They also made a mistake in giving me white meat though I asked for dark meat. Despite these little misses; the meal was enjoyable. It could perhaps be because they are still new but it also felt like service could have been a lot better. It took quite some time to ask for water cups. There was only one server and it seemed like she was overwhelmed between taking orders, giving orders and wrapping up to-go orders. She saw me waiting but I had to flag her down to get the cups. This place has potential and food is good; which is why I still want to give this spot 4 stars. I do however think that there are several kinks they need to work out (cold soup, long wait time for food, slow service). I will be back and hopefully by then they have worked out some of the little issues. read more

The staff here was kind and fast, which I appreciated -- service-wise, no complaints. The restaurant itself is pretty standard, nothing fancy, but it was clean, and even the bathroom was well kept. Unfortunately, the food was super mid. The fries had no seasoning at all, the green spicy sauce was decent, and the chicken skin had some flavor -- but once you're past the skin, the meat itself tastes like nothing. You can only order a quarter, half, or whole bird, so I went with the wing and breast combo, which came out to around $13. For that price, I expected way more flavor. Ohh the excitement to have one close to home. We would usually go to the one in Gardena and it was pretty far from us. This is the perfect location and glad they used it to replace the KFC. The parking is great, they have the drive thru as well. When we went during dinner rush there was no line so I guess it depends what time you go that it can get pretty busy. A TIP: call in your order and then just pick up, this has always been the way to go for us. I've seen many negative reviews in waiting so long and they rate the place on that, the fact you come here you know the food is good so just take a few minutes order and pick up so you don't have to wait in line and be miserable. They prepare your food fresh so be patient. The place is fairly new the tables and everything is clean and tidy. The bathrooms are clean and it's spacious for you to have a meal there comfortably. The Gentlemen that were taking orders and on the phone were very nice and bilingual as well. As far as food we got the Lomo Saltado order as well as Pollo Saltado and the Platanos. Their meals are so well served great amount of rice ratio as well as the meat. Love that they serve the little soup to go with your meal other spots ain't usually do that. It was very flavorful and fresh for sure. The little green sauce they give you is Absolutely delicious and has a good kick. We enjoyed our meal for sure. Our first tine dining here. So many items on the menu and I selected the Tallarin spaghetti with sliced beef and vegetables. It was very good, however the beef was a bit tough. But the meal was very flavorful. The front parking lot is relatively small but not full when we arrived. There is additional parking in the rear and on an adjacent parking lot that serves several businesses. Since it was our first time there I had questions and the cashier was very friendly patient and knowledgeable answering all our questions. The interior of the restaurant was bright, modern and clean. A few years ago, right after the pandemic, and I have yet to write a review about my experience. But THIS PLACE, is different. Similar name, better quality food. The experience is more like fast food dining. You order everything at the counter, and your food is ready within 15 minutes. I went to the drive thru the other day and was impressed with the experience. The staff was friendly and service was very quick. I ordered a chicken saltado, carne saltado, half chicken combo, a full chicken ala carte, and two sides of rice. I may have ordered extra green sauce (but I might have skipped it because we had ordered from the Gardena location a couple days prior and still had sauce). I was really excited to try this place. My coworkers eat at the location on Hawthorn all the time. My biggest issue was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was maybe 65 degrees outside and prior to getting my meal I was already sweating. Really uncomfortable- and they don't have outside seating. Secondly, the fries get really soggy in the Saltados. I got the whole chicken to go. The chicken had good flavor. The Aji sauce really compliments the chicken. The salad was fresh and comes with a vinaigrette. I do have a suggestion for the fries.
