RAMA6. Mongolian Beef Dinner
Simone T.

The food was amazing and plentiful. I had Mongolian Beef house special and my husband had the ribs. I had plenty of steak meat along with fried rice with two juicy shrimps. It comes with a small salad. I used peanut sauce as my dressing. As for the steak, it was tender and moist. My husband's ribs were full and falling off the bones. The environment was small with plenty of seating.

Decided to try the restaurant again after having a terrible experience. This time service was good and attentive. Food was delivered quickly and everything was delicious. What a difference when you have different servers.

Tom Yum Kai

TL;DR - the tom yum kai is a chicken and mushroom soup that should be seen more as an appetizer to share. I was still hungry after it. My friend loved their lunch special. Came here for lunch and honestly I was a little disappointed with what I ordered (I was still hungry when I left but it's kinda my fault). The service was great, everyone was nice, and the food came out quickly. There were others eating there and it wasn't noisy or anything. I got the tom yum kai (large). It's basically a chicken and mushroom soup/hot pot. The bowl is really cool because they can light the flame underneath it to keep everything hot. The soup was good, the chicken was tasty, the mushrooms were plentiful. Unfortunately that's all it was lol. I should've added the noodles for an additional $2.50 because I was still hungry at the end of the meal. My friend told me that is typically more of an appetizer that you share among your party but I thought it was for one person given the price. It WAS tasty though! My friend enjoyed their lunch special and would get it again. I'll be coming back for round two. I'll order properly next time lol

Bbq pork. Vegetarian fried rice and noodles Tofu Padkeemow

We came here after seeing it from walking around the shopping center. The #20 soup was excellent. We had the vegetable fried rice, And a noodle dish with basil and tofu. The music was nice and slow variety of genres too. The service was slow to order however the taste of the food made me forget the 15 minute wait just to order. There were lot of phone orders and pick up orders that delayed us ordering our food. Definitely coming back.

It's been years since I've been to Thai Rama. And when I say years...I mean years! The last time I've been to Thai Rama was when I was little kid. My grandpa would treat us to the original Thai Rama that was located at a plaza at the corner of Anza and Torrance Blvd. It was only recently that the Thai Rama moved to this new location off W. Carson St. I went to Thai Rama for a Friday lunch with my mom and we enjoyed their lunch specials. Thai Rama's lunch special is daily from 11am to 3pm and consist of 14 different offerings that include salad and a cream cheese wonton. Prices range from $14.95 to $15.95. I chose to get the Noodle Supreme and my mom got the Yellow Chicken Curry. For the lunch special today, the waitress informed us that it would be soup versus salad. The soup of the day was a heartwarming corn soup. I enjoyed this light soup. It had good corn flavor. I hope Thai Rama continues to offer soup for their lunch special. I also really liked the cream cheese wonton that accompanied the lunch special. It was served crispy and hot. I loved the sweet cream cheese filling. The main dishes were also quite enjoyable. The Noodle Supreme consisted of flat rice noodles, chicken, egg, bean sprouts, scallions and crushed peanuts. I'm a fan of flat noodles and was happy to see Thai Rama's noodles to be perfectly soft and chewy. The chicken, scallions and peanuts brought a nice depth of flavor. The Yellow Curry was a dish that was spot on in terms of creaminess. I absolutely loved the curry sauce. It was enriched with coconut milk and was perfect over white rice. The curry had the most tender chicken that paired well with the chunks of potato and carrots. I would definitely get this again. I was happy to try Thai Rama again after so many years. New location, new experiences - I know I will be back!

So many Thai restaurant so a little time. This place came recommended to me, but sadly, it missed the mark for me since many of the dishes, lacked rich flavor and tasted inauthentic.

15. Tom Kah Soup with Shrimp

I accidentally ended up in this location..I was looking for a different Thai place with 4 stars but I'm So glad I ended up here! I would give this place 10 Stars! It's clean, staff is friendly and food is full of flavor and delicious! I come here once a week and try a different dish every time. I highly recommend their padseew and cucumber salad..and they have the best pickled lol

This place existed my expectations!!!food is definitely delicious and the service exceptional waitress Ploy was kind and nice. Great customer service . I recommend the coconut soup #20 . You have to also get the Thai tea! Food was ready in minutes!

We were excited to learn this Thai Rama is the same one we loved years ago on Torrance Blvd and Anza. Now located on Carson St across from Harbor General, it's even closer to home--and just as good as we remember. This was our fourth visit, and the food continues to impress. Everything is flavorful and well-prepared. We had the Mongolian Beef lunch special (with soup), Eggplant/Tofu Stir-Fry, Poached Fish, Seafood Coconut Soup, and my favorite--Beef Panang, which is always spot on. The space is cozy, the staff is friendly, and there's plenty of parking. Thai Rama remains a gem, and we'll definitely keep coming back!

Sometimes you crave a quick pasta meal but think your only choice is a sit-down restaurant. Pasta Stories is a fast-casual spot in the Tokyo Central food court. The process is simple: step up to the counter; order and pay on a tablet device; and grab a seat in the food court. They'll call you when your meal is ready. I tried the "Osaka," spaghetti with Wagyu beef meat sauce. The pasta was al dente, and the sauce was flavorful but lighter than most restaurants--less salty, with more subtle flavors. Browsing the menu, you'll find all the meals competitively priced compared to fast-food combos. However, each bowl is made to order and leans more toward scratch cooking than the processed fare you'd get at a fast-food restaurant. One last thing: I tend to avoid ordering pasta to go because if the kitchen isn't careful, ithe pasta keeps cooking and soaking up moisture during the commute. That's not a problem here. When they know it's a takeout order, they adjust their cooking and package the pasta nicely. The bottom line is you won't end up with soggy pasta when you get home.

Each pasta is inspired by a different region of Japan and this is one of the few places in Los Angeles / Orange County that serves fast casual Japanese pasta. [Parking]: Plenty of parking spots within the parking plaza. [Ordering]: Customers place an order via a kiosk and pick up their order at the counter. [Menu]: The most classic pasta is Napolitan Spaghetti (Yokohama). Yelp's top highlighted dishes are Wagyu Beef (Osaka), Seafood Pasta (Ehime), and Matcha Cream (Kyoto). *** "Kyoto" Matcha Cream (Chicken - $15.50) & "Osaka" American Wagyu Beef Meat Sauce ($15.50): I personally liked Kyoto better than Osaka as the Kyoto pasta tasted a bit creamier with the matcha cream. Osaka was not bad, but it was not my favorite flavor profile. Each portion was just right so don't expect any leftovers to bring back home. *** Honestly I can see myself revisiting here and cycling through their menu. A solid Japanese pasta spot for anyone to stop by without breaking the bank.

Why has no one told me about this gem??…read more As soon as you enter the restaurant, it feels like your grandparents home. I mean that as a compliment, follow my train of thought now. There is so much love, so much heart that is put into the food. Additionally, the amount of food is coma sending. I finished the food and was so ready to take a nap in the warm weather. It's literally like eating grandma's food when youre a young child. The spicy tuna came out first and we were shocked at how delicious the fish was. There wasn't a lot of rice which I appreciated and that fish had a bit of a kick. Pair that with some wasabi shoyu and you're tasting some real goodness. The spam musubi was solid with the furikake. My only gripe was that it had a bit too much rice which could have been better balanced with a thicker slice of spam. Regardless, it was solid. Now the star was the chicken combo. Boy oh boy, that Ladybug Fried Chicken was amazing. The batter had so much flavor and added to the juicy chicken. Pair that with you salad and mac salad.. oh my.. youre tasting a slice of Heaven! Fair warning, there is some grinded celery in the mac salad, so if youre allergic then let them know. Otherwise, that aroma of celery added so much depth to the mac. I can't emphasize enough, there is so much love in the food and the servers take gooooood care of you. It was also amazing to see how much attention to detail the owners put in the restaurant. There is ladybug decor all throughout the place and hand drawn papers from customers. It was really neat to see how much love they receive from their customers.

My total before tip/tax was $12.50, which is amazing for the quality and portion! Other than base + protein, the bowls also come with pickled veggies, kimchi, broccoli, and a side of their green (cilantro jalapeno) sauce. The wait was reasonable considering they were also finishing up a pretty large order when I came in. All of the flavors worked so well! I was particularly surprised with the green sauce-I've had it with so many other cuisines but never thought to pair it with Korean food. The bowl was filling while still feeling healthy and nutritious. I will say the spicy chicken really isn't spicy (the kimchi is much spicier by comparison), so I would love for spice levels to be ramped up a bit. The interior is cozy in a homey-older restaurant type of way. There's a good amount of seating but it seems like a lot of people order takeout. I also noticed that the staff speak incredibly kindly with each other, which was so lovely to see! This seems like a small business you can feel good about supporting.
